[MUSIC]
You can do it every day.
On the other hand, and I, and on my own house.
You can do it when you're on your own. And if you can do it, you can do it like we do in the sky that you're building for. Because with credit, it's just one thing we can do. Whether you're building your own credit on your own money, on your own credit, on your own.
>> Do you see those plates where the girls stand, I'm like,
“"Oh, you have to do it while you're like brushing your teeth."”
>> It's fine for me to shake your whole body. >> This is a sunscreen you can't mess up for that face. >> That's cool. >> I love this because I need to reapply face on the screen, but if I, I got them out.
>> I have to disagree with what I eat them. >> Yeah, the sleep is going on. >> That's the one you chose to disagree with. >> It was not double stuff. Get out.
>> We brought a show and tell. >> Is that a pot of gold? >> It was such a double show.
>> We're never gonna finish this.
[MUSIC] >> Welcome back to always here. >> We're your host Abby Howard and Abby Howard. >> It's good to be back. >> Oh, baby, it feels like it's been a long time.
>> And what has happened? >> It has happened. >> We both had kind of busy weeks. >> Yeah. >> As always, I feel like, yeah, you had a very busy week.
You and Matt, little jet setters, little Hollywood celebrities. >> [LAUGH] >> I literally told Matt at the end of that day. I was like, okay, so we went to, I guess I'll explain it back. >> Yeah, it was so fun.
>> We went to the I Heart Radio Music Awards. >> So cool. >> And LA and we were brought out by Fox, which was really cool. So we got to do a lot to where they filmed the sound of music.
>> And like, that was filmed in Australia.
>> Was it not? >> Maybe some scenes were, but like a lot of the iconic scenes were in the Fox lot, and I mean, they were currently filming the new Baywatch. And we got to see like all the sets for what was really cool. And we like got to talk to like their casting directors.
It was a really cool experience because they don't actually do lot to where is that Fox, like they do them at like universal studios and some of the other major production places. >> It was cool. There's just kind of see behind the scenes things, and then to go to the event
was really cool, but in preparation, I'm just like, sorry. I already told you this on Sunday, but I got to spray tan to go to the event and I went to an a row. Wow. >> And a couple of weeks away.
>> Hi. She's got a little bit. >> No, no. I'm gone again. But I hadn't taken the boys, I remember telling you I was like, okay, well, now the boys
have to go with me to the spray tan. And so I set them up on the chair and there, which I wanted them to be in the same room because I was like, I don't know this space, like they can't just be in the lobby. >> Right. >> Like there was other people out there, but I was like, no, they can't be with me.
And so I set them up in a chair like to the side, like so they're like 180 degrees for me. And I had a show on for them and they each had their own bag of veggie straws as soon as that machine turns on. Actually, soon as I started taking off my clothes, there was like, just bottle neck.
>> They're crazy. >> They're completely turned. >> And they're just kind of silent and they're eating veggie straws watching me. And it was like a full-on show. And then they didn't say anything.
I put my clothes back on. It's quick. Like 10 minutes max that we're in there. Get back in the car. There's like kind of quiet and then, which I'm not like, they see me go to the bathroom
and they see me like these things, but I just felt like a new, I felt vulnerable. >> Sure. >> I feel like I should make it in this room. >> This is weird. >> Right.
>> What is this loud machine? >> Right. >> Why is she turning brown and government literally said to me in the car after like
“a prolonged silence goes, hey mom, what colors your butt?”
>> [LAUGH] >> I was in a appropriate question. >> I was like right now it's brown. >> [LAUGH] >> I think that he was probably actually so confused. >> Oh, what's happening?
>> How are you changing colors mom? >> I was like, you know, this is one of those things where when they bring it up, we'll talk about it, but I think at this point, it's right now it's probably brown. >> Yeah. >> He's like, okay, okay, that's me in a couple of hours after I start.
>> [LAUGH] >> It was really funny. >> Oh my god, I got to get all dressed up, which was fun. >> It was so beautiful. >> Thank you.
>> Did you do your own hair and make up? >> Yeah, I felt like my hair looked kind of a woo. >> I thought you looked nice, you did a woo. >> Thank you guys. >> These guys I did my own hair and make up because I don't know, I don't know that special.
>> But I actually, I didn't even do get my makeup done for my wedding. I did myself. >> I remember that. I remember I came back to the room and you guys were all getting ready and it was so sweet. I actually did my mom's makeup and my grandma's makeup and my friends make up by wedding day.
>> Yeah, well you're good at making up. >> Thank you, I doesn't take me long. I don't know how to do anything fancy.
“So I was like, I honestly think if you're good at making up.”
I mean, you were a dancer and I think dancers you and Adi both, you learned how to do makeup. >> And then you just, you get used to it and you're just like, yeah, so you guys have skills. >> Thank you.
>> I didn't do anything super special, but it was really fun.
They put us in a really nice hotel and which was great for the fact that there was like a solo troupe on public rest.
“>> Wow, I got so that was good for that.”
>> Terrible. >> It was just laying there and it just got my candle out. >> I guess we'd go to bed. >> We ordered room service and everything was so sad. >> Anyway, it was really nice to be that we went made a quick trip to Utah for a really
special conversation on unplanned that I have been looking forward to for such a long time. I can't wait to hear it. It was with Elizabeth Smith's Mark, so I don't know when it's coming out in relation to this episode, but it's actually going to be out before this episode. >> Oh, so many artists go listen to it.
>> That was a whirlwind travel experience. Get back home and you're back to reality, bed time, bed time, bed time, bed time, get up the next morning, you know? That's also the beauty of motherhood. >> You know, it's like right back into it.
>> Yeah. >> You can get right back into it. >> I'm going to like it. >> I don't know. You come back, you're rested, and then you're like, oh, the kids are just, it's like,
you're jumping back in, what am I trying to say?
>> You never skip a beat.
You never skip a beat. It never stopped. You know what I mean? Kids are just consistent. They are consistent.
>> And it's so sweet. How was your week? >> It was good. We went to MLB game last night, the time of Acts 1st Tigers, they have a friend that plays on the Tigers.
So, our whole Bible study group went to, they sent us tickets and we all went, which is really fun. It wasn't like you were responsible to bring such a small baby. >> Why? >> Like that's right.
>> No, I don't regret it at all, but it was really loud. It was really loud. >> In the game? >> In the game? >> In the game?
>> In the game? >> In the game? >> In the game? >> No, I didn't even think about it. Oh, I wouldn't thought about it.
>> We didn't think about it.
>> We didn't think about it.
>> We didn't think about it. >> We didn't think about it. >> We didn't think about it. >> We didn't think about it. >> We didn't think about it.
>> We didn't think about it. >> My sister and my brother-in-law took T.J. when he was 18 months old and we were up. So it wasn't that loud, which I just didn't think about it and our seats were low. We were down really loud. >> It was super loud.
>> I didn't even thought about that. >> And she was okay with it, but I just felt like bad, but it was super fun. And we were up really late last night. We didn't get home so after 10. >> But it was good.
>> Yeah, T.J., we got to go on the field after. >> That's right. >> So T.J. got to go out there and he thought it was awesome. >> That's so bad. >> Yeah.
>> It was really fun. >> So that was great. >> Don't remember the weekend. >> I feel like C.J. is going to be a baseball guy. I could see him being a baseball guy.
“>> I think so too, both of our group, like both of his grandparents love baseball.”
Caleb loves baseball.
So I just feel like it's kind of ingrained and cute.
>> Yeah, I mean, it's kind of the same for your boys too. Your dad loves baseball. >> Yeah, maybe they will. >> Yeah. >> I can't picture it right now.
>> I honestly can't picture anything. >> Yeah, I can't picture right now. >> I'm like what C.J. is still going to grow up in just love trains. >> I just didn't see her in the phone. >> I'm putting a bat in there.
>> No, literally. >> I'm so scary. >> I'm like, no, we're not going to get interested. >> No. >> And just flying baseball is around the house.
I'm like, I don't know about that. >> I asked Blake once we were going through there. >> To play. >> He said soccer. >> He said, I want to have thought about one, but--
>> A little bit like soccer is the cutest thing ever. >> Me too. >> Me too. >> Cute. >> Actually, when I was walking out of the grocery store one evening last week,
this guy was super nice to our kids in the grocery store. He was just a sweet guy. He was a grandpa. And then he was like, come with me to my car. I was like, okay, we're not supposed to do that.
>> No, I was out of town. >> And then I was like, this is, this is bad. >> I'm almost with me. So I was like, this is fine. >> Yeah.
>> And he had his trunk a bunch of game balls that, I don't know what he has some position with baseball. He gave each of my kids full on heavy baseball, which they love. >> That's so sweet. >> But I'm almost like someone's going to get black.
>> Don't follow people to their cars. >> That's one of those moments where you're in it and you're like, this could have been a bad idea. >> I had a question that I just kind of looked to my mom and she was like, "Oh, you're mom was with you."
>> Yeah, she was like, okay, power numbers.
“>> It was dark, so that's why I fell a little bit more on this.”
>> It was a little much of a story. >> Yeah. >> He was a super nice guy. >> The kids go in. >> He kept talking us all throughout the grocery store and was like, sweet,
but great. >> Everything turned out. >> It worked out great. >> They got free baseball. >> Beware, be rude to my life.
>> That's right. >> But my hope that this is great that it was a busy week. >> My hope is that I have high energy recently. >> Good. >> That's good to turn.
>> My energy feels like really high, honestly, I'm like, I get up in the morning, like, yeah, I'm going to die this morning once. >> Well, you really do. >> So you're on my walks, yeah. >> I was so the opposite, I couldn't leave the house today.
I told you, I had a lot going on. >> I know, I was just one of those days where I looked at my children. And I looked at myself in the mirror and I was like, "We're not leaving the house today." >> That's just a no way.
>> Yeah. >> There's no way. And I felt deep shame about it. >> Don't kill. >> That's why you're not supposed to do it. >> I think it was Bible study.
It's like, don't feel shame. And I feel shame. >> It's good. >> It's good.
>> No, we both made sure you were safe.
>> Yeah, no.
“>> Because you're usually late, so I told everyone not to be concerned.”
>> Don't make concern.
She always gets your 30 minutes late.
>> I always late and you're always late or the late. >> I know. >> You're my baby. >> I didn't see that that young anymore. >> I'm like out of the range.
I'm like the new one. >> It's like cruel. >> I can't tell you're nursing. I don't kill but always miss burn workouts or I always miss the world. But he goes, how would you not made an adjustment?
>> Like I was like, I don't actually know. I'm just accepted and he's like, you should adjust. >> Every day, every day, and then it's late to the same things. >> He's like, how are you looking your life like this? >> That is actually such a great place to think about.
>> Yeah, he's like, how are you just not made a change? >> [LAUGH] >> Okay, I was like, you know, he said it like lighthearted and then it kind of stuck with me. >> I'm like, you're like, that's not the day. >> That's such an interesting thing to like, you guys both work out through a burn.
I leave the house at 815 every single day, like that is the time I leave the house and I get there putting it back. >> I have to leave before that. >> But do you, you don't leave it like that exact time every day? >> No. >> Usually Aguipipses pants right around the time.
>> That happens every day, I'm like, okay, loading up, blow up. >> I've got a change diaper in my own garage, okay. >> Because I'm like, now is the time. >> You're just staying in there with your arms crushed as waiting. >> Damn, like, we're not going to let you see him.
>> I can tell, you know, I'm mom knows. >> Yeah, they have it. >> I was like, are you doing it right now? >> I was like, no, I'm like, get on your back.
“>> Of course you are, because you have to be, right?”
>> No, I'm like, of course you are, because we were on time. >> Anyway, I feel like I am high energy, what was your hope? >> My hope is that sometimes it's like that. >> No, I have a lot of hope. I just try to, I honestly can't think past this hour.
>> You're here. >> You're here, you're here, you're here. >> Oh my God, I'm so happy to thank you. >> You look gorgeous. >> You know what, this is funny.
I chopped a lot off. Thank you for saying it, I look good. >> This is a goofy episode of "Somple Heart" song. I haven't talked to people till this moment. I haven't talked to them until yet.
>> I mean, my mom is here, but I wasn't really talking. She was talking to me, and I was like, I need to apologize. Okay, I don't know what came over me when I went in to get my hair cut. I was like, I want to cut it short. She was like, how are we talking?
And then she kind of, you know, put her hands where, and I was a shorter. And then she was like, I was like, shorter. She was like, maybe let's just do like a quick, you know, a rough chop, and then I'll go back and see it, fix it up. And I don't know, okay, well we have to just very daring, I just kept telling,
I was like challenging her, like shorter, shorter, shorter. To the point where she was like, hey, it's not going to look good. But here, here, here, here, it's a thick, and I need to text her and thank her for that advice because I'm trying to style it myself. I was like, go above the shoulder.
“>> I think it's where you thought of the chin.”
>> I was like, good and crazy. >> She goes, hey, you know what, that's not going to look good on you. And I was like, I appreciate that. >> I appreciate that. They had to shut it down, but it just came over me, I just kept telling.
>> I love that out here, dressers though, I feel like they are honest, but they're very happy because it's a pretty long-term thing. >> And if we don't like it, we go back to them and they fix it for free, you know? >> So like, they don't really want that. >> I don't want to see you again.
>> Yeah, I don't want to see you again.
>> Please just never come back.
>> For a long time. >> No, it looks great, the mom chopped, yeah, it was time. How much did you get caught up? >> I think my hair was like, to my nips. >> Nips.
>> [LAUGH] >> Yep. >> Okay, great. >> Yeah, I don't know, I'm not gonna come all of that, seven inches, six inches. >> My heart, I guess, I don't know, I feel like I cycle through this one all the time.
Probably like every four to six weeks, where I just feel like I'm not productive. And I'm just like every day, I'm just like, didn't get done, what I wanted to done, and then just beat myself up, and then I'm like, okay, well. >> Yeah, try again tomorrow, yeah, yeah, literally. >> That's just one of those things.
>> That would say my heart is the same. >> It's just like, yeah, I'm exhausted myself today, what do I have to show for it, I know. I looked at my floors, this is one of the things that was really bothering me today. I just felt like our house was such a wreck, I looked around and I was like, if food falls on the ground, it's not getting near anyone's mouth.
Like normally, our house is clean enough to have something falls in the floor. I don't blink an eye, our floors were so gross, there was no chance. Like I wasn't gonna sit on the floor, it was just so gross. >> Like our house was dirty, and I just was like, this is not, no, I feel sick to my stomach. >> I can't live like this.
>> No, I just, I feel like I had one too many days where I felt like I was just like hitting roadblocks, so I couldn't check something off of my list and I was spinning my wheels. >> Yeah. >> That's hard. >> Well, you know what?
It's just a new day. >> Today's a new day. >> Today's a new day.
>> We always thought I'd say, I feel like you've done everything, everything I've asked
of you, you've done for me. >> Really? >> Oh, so I feel like every time I'm like, and then I just start, I'm like a frustrated
With myself, so then I'm like, I just gotta go get mad at Matt, right now.
>> Matt, you've done a pretty decent one of the blandies. >> Yeah. I feel like I've just been pointing out a lot of your flaws because I'm, I am feeling slow. >> Getting myself right out, right?
>> Right. >> He goes, "Thank you for apologizing." >> Yesterday, I killed people. >> There was a lot of flaws, because it feels like shaky ground, like when I'm like gonna put myself out there, because I could lash back really thick, yeah, because I'm feeling like,
“I'm doing this, doing this, but then if he doesn't respond, right?”
It's really dangerous.
So he's, I feel like he's like, so if he was like, "Quite for a second, he goes, "Hey,
thanks for saying that." >> That was like, "That's a good response." >> He's welcome. Yesterday, I was feeling so, I had a great day, like in the morning, went to the gym. My mom and I went shopping.
Like, it was just a really fun morning, like, it's a very divine God, Osayi bowls. >> Yeah. >> And then the last, like, four hours of the day, Caleb, I said, "Come home at five, so we can leave for the game." And then it was just a crazy, four hours, and Caleb got home 30 minutes late from work.
And I was, like, called him and I said, "Where are you?" And he said, "I'm so sorry I'm coming." And then when he got home, I was just feeling irritated, and that's like, "I'm so sorry." And then I looked at him, and I was just like, "I, there's no reason that I should be agitated."
I went shopping today, I went to the gym, I had a fun girl's morning, and just one hour of my day was stressful, and I'm like, taking it out and using it. >> Today, I actually don't want to be able to apologize. I was like, "This is a pride thing." It's a different way.
>> It's a different way. >> Actually, I had a really easy day. >> Boy, you're saying to me the other day, because I'm very volatile sometimes, and sometimes
after it's third-dipers away, they just end up with the end up very, very, very kindly came.
I was saying, "Thank you. You've done so much today, like doing the dishes and doing cleaning up the house." Like, I really know just like, "Can we be better about throwing the diaper away?" >> It was because, would you dogs eat them? >> No.
>> No. >> You just eat them. >> He just ate them. >> He just ate them. >> He just ate them out.
>> You know, problems. >> I exploded on him, I'm like, he's like, every time, and then we debrief after words, and he's like, "How was I supposed to present that any night, sir?" >> I'm like, "You just don't present it. You just don't say anything."
“>> I honestly, there's something I need to do to the funny thing.”
>> He knows when he's like, "I'm like, just don't say anything." >> I can't do it, but you just wouldn't mind being able to do it. >> He's like, "God, so can't say anything." >> I'm like, "For a minute, those other 15 diapers I did throw away, like, this is cool.
I don't know." >> Yeah. >> I call on to that territory. >> That's real life. >> That's real life.
>> I'm disgusting. >> Well, that was good. Hopefully, we can all relate to that. >> Really, everyone can relate. >> Everybody, exciting news.
It's already gone live, the live event. I don't actually know if by the time you're hearing this, if there are any slots available, >> Right. >> But if there are, check that link and snag your spot because they are limited, and, I mean, I don't want to, to our own horns, but I'm expecting it's full of this point.
>> But might as well give it a shot. >> It was full last time. That's why it's taken. >> Yeah. >> And we're excited to see you if you're signing up, so this will be really fun.
We're doing a little workout, we'll hang out afterwards, and it's gonna be really fun. >> So fun. I can't not wait. It's tomorrow. >> Yeah.
>> Yeah. >> Oh, heck heck. >> You're going to get your trainer. >> I'm going to work out. >> So what am I going to do?
>> You're going to get your trainer. >> I'm going to work out. >> I'll just start doing my laps in my headphones all the way. >> You're going to work out. >> You guys, I keep seeing the same neighbors every time, because I also do like two apps.
>> I love it's me again. >> Again.
>> You never know when you're going to find me.
I got rained on this morning on my walk. >> Oh, it looks nice. >> It looks nice. >> It looks nice. >> It was dark, though.
>> Oh, my gosh, I'll be five or even the morning. >> Yeah. >> Oh my gosh. >> I've got to do it. It takes a long time.
I can't take my kids with me. It's true. >> So, who's a good idea? >> I'm excited for it today's episode. >> I'm very excited.
I was actually getting like a lot of these things that I'm brought up. I'm like passionate about my walk and talk forever, but that's actually what's brought up. This idea was one of our original ideas. We're doing an Abby's favorite episode.
Think of us as Oprah. Think of us as Oprah. Think of us as YouTubers. >> Yes.
“>> Remember when YouTubers used to do monthly favorites?”
>> Yes. >> I loved that. Actually, my most YouTube era, I went back with this episode just to kind of look at, I just went through some of the thumbnails of the ones I watched. >> Yeah.
>> And I was like, oh my gosh, all these videos are like nine to twelve years ago. >> Yes. >> I used to watch them every month. >> Yes. >> Some of those OG beauty guru creators, Jacqueline Hill, I lived up her videos.
>> When everyone was talking about the naked palettes, I still have her and I still have my naked eyes. >> Oh my gosh. >> I'm so excited. >> I'm so excited.
>> I'm so excited. I never got the two. It was cool toned, so. >> Oh, I didn't know my tones up at all.
>> I just got what I got.
>> I know. >> Thank you Quince for sponsoring today's episode. >> I have been doing a little wardrobe reset recently.
Quince is always a go-to for me.
I really love focusing on quality products. That is something that I can speak to Quince for. Their pieces are just really well made, versatile. I specifically love their flea shorts. I talk about them a lot.
They're just super comfortable, they're the perfect mom short I feel like. And they can fit over my bump and I anticipate all of us people to wear them after pregnancy as well. I'm the same. I love quality pieces over quantity.
They do a really good job of having really high quality fabric. So we're talking 100% silk that's washable, cashmere blended sweaters. It's just nice knowing that the fabrics that you're putting on your body are well-made, they're good for you, they're good for the planet. They use premium materials like 100% European linen organic cotton and super soft denim
with style starting around $50. Their spring pieces are lightweight, breathable, and effortless. The kind of things you can throw on and instantly look put together. That same focus on materials carries over into their accessories, like their leather bags,
“which are made from 100% hand woven Italian leather, honestly they look way more expensive”
than they are. And how Quince does it is they work directly with the ethical factories to cut out the middleman to provide you with affordable prices with such high quality materials and fabrics. Refresh your spring wardrobe with Quince. Go to quince.com/abby for free shipping and 365 day returns.
Now available in Canada too. So go to quinceq-u-i-n-c-e.com/abby for free shipping and 365 day returns. Quince.com/abby. Instead of going straight into our favorites, we're going to talk about some of the, in our opinion, overhyped, yeah, over praised, maybe over praised, yeah, products, just ones that
were kind of flops, let us down. And we actually pulled you guys on the always here podcast
Instagram, which if you're not following us, because it's really fun. We usually try to engage with you guys on their like every week for these episodes. So it's fun when this is kind of like a mutual thing. We give you some, it's just fun. Yes, right.
So you want to start naming some of these? Okay, you're not going to agree with this first one. No, I don't. I already don't. She said jobs.
This is Ashlyn. You love trumps. I mean, yeah, I think it's a great snack. I actually never had a tromp. What? You've never taken one from my house, I've never had a tromp.
I get these turkey sticks from sams and to be honest, the caseings on these beef sticks are a little freaky, but I, your turkey sticks are a weird color. They, yeah, they are. They're really, no, they're been long. I just think it's a good opportunity to prove to my biop, it's a good protein.
It's a good protein. Yes. This standly cups, you know, I would agree only because I, I love the 40 aunts traveler. I don't think that's overhyped, but still in spilling, there's just better options now. Gracie said, baby swaddles.
I, that moral reflex, what are you doing? You're not going to value. Yeah. Are your kids just chill? Your kids don't sperm the night.
“Rebecca said, honestly, smart phones overhyped and addictive, addictive for sure, totally.”
Or hyped. I would, if I had to switch to one of those like, what do they call those? I don't. I thought about it. Well, block one.
So you can put block on a smart phone. Oh, that's not what I'm talking about. Oh, you're taking a brick. Oh, I'm taking a brick maybe block is a thing. I don't know.
They have these like basic phones. And I was like, for a while, that sounded good, but I was like, I would have to really adjust like, do I get a map at that point? Like, I feel like get a map. Is it cool map?
How do I find phone numbers for like anything? It just feels like it would be way more complicated. Get rid of it now. I do, too. Yeah.
Apples and a wonderful job of doing things. I think it means the hype. Jalen. Oh, I'm sorry. I'm reading them all.
No. I like it. You read it. Where are we at? Okay.
“So I'm going to do something like, I know you guys will disagree.”
Chromal cookies. I can agree that, yeah. Some are. I enjoy them. Yeah.
They're very sweet.
I'm never going to be upset when they're presented to me.
I've got to be honest. I watch a review of their cookies every week still. People who are just mean to be mean about Chromal as I'm being honest. Yeah. They're like, it's not big, probably.
I'm like, are you okay? Are you? Yeah. I'm sorry, professional. You want to cook you for being so smart?
It's good. It's like, what am I doing? Not a Chromal cookie. I really want to try this week's lineup, but doesn't look like I'm going to make my way there.
But I mean, I can see that. There. I mean, there's a lot of hype. I love a cookie though. Vibration plates.
I'm sorry. This is a scam. This is just a scam. We're at the girl's stand. I'm like, go ahead.
What? You know what I'm talking about? Yeah. Yeah. And they're like, it's like lymphatic drainage and it's like doing 50.
This one is the most, like, submitted thing was the vibration plate. I don't know. I don't know. Big thing right now. That's on the same.
This is on part of me with the red light therapy masks. I'm sorry, ladies. Where are these? Wait, what? As a vibration plate.
You stand on this plate.
It looks like a scale. Like a weight scale. Yeah. Yeah.
“And you would just do it while you're like brushing your teeth.”
Shake your whole body and people are like, it's really good for your circulation. I'm like, just stretch. You know what you mean? Immigration. Immigration?
Yeah. I don't know what the benefits of it are. I don't know. I'm just assuming some of these claims. But I agree.
Yeah. That doesn't sound right. Okay. This next one. Oh, she's kind of, she put a list of claw clips, Oreos, dry shampoo.
I have to disagree on Oreos.
Oreos I never buy or eat by them, but when I eat them, the other sleeve is gone.
There's so good. That's the one you chose to disagree on. I mostly with Oreos, you can't get a knock off Oreos. It doesn't take sense. And they might not know stuff.
Get out. Okay. Okay. Okay. I'm going to find Oreos.
Oh my god. That was eating a golden. Golden. Golden. I wanted a golden one.
And she walks over and starts talking to Abby. She goes, can you see the golden Oreos? I can smell it on it. I might go, no. Oh, I had a genius genius pregnancy craving ideas like golden Oreos in vanilla milkshake
with malt powder. It was delicious. That doesn't work. That doesn't work. I don't think anything with a cookie blended in is bad.
Okay. Wait. Claw clips and dry shampoo. No, those are pretty. Great.
Katie says, Queen Simpletes, clear protein. Girl. I love their regular protein powder, but can't go with the clear. Really? Strongly disagree.
Some flavors do taste more stevia than others. So I think it depends. I think it's flavor dependent. So I don't fully disagree. I mean, have you tried the sour watermelon?
This sour watermelon is so good. I just got the pink star versus one. It's great. That one's the second best. That one's the second best.
Thank you. They make a fruit punch one. I love fruit punch. I know. I didn't like their sodas.
They're clear protein. Those are different. I mean, I like them, but they definitely don't have different flavor. They have a different flavor. Different aftertaste.
Yeah. But the powders amazing. Oh, I disagree, Jordan. This next one is the Duna Carci/Stroller. That thing is the love of my life.
I don't know how to have a baby without it.
“I mean, what do you mean you just get your pumpkin out of your carrying a pumpkin around?”
No.
You always get wheels in the back of your trunk.
How does that work? No, no, no. I don't know about that. I don't know about that. I don't know about that.
I have a Duna too, yeah. I'm like, I don't know. I don't know how you like it. I don't know how you like it. I don't know how you like it.
I don't know how you like it. I don't know how you like it. I don't know how you like it. I don't know how you like it. I don't know how you like it.
I don't know how you like it. I mean, I was like, double the price, no, it's very expensive. It doesn't do the same thing that a Duna does. No, you don't want to carry the pumpkin and train. I do understand it is heavy, but what you do, you just take care of it whenever you
need. You just have to get stronger as your baby gets bigger. Exactly. I mean, the video from a really long time ago, when you were like, this is why I work out.
I work out literally. I got to tote my 18-month-old huge baby in a Duna. He wasn't that Duna a long time. People are like, oh, I can't get out of your ring of the Duna, they grow out of it. I might say it not grow out of it.
That is like two. That's like they didn't grow out of that. It's kind of like, this girl said, bottle warmers, it may be specific, long to detergent. I would agree with this.
I mean, I've never had a bottle warmer, but I think you're seeing not having a bottle
warmer. I don't get it. I bottle warm every year. You guys are interested in having bottles. Yeah.
I don't have one. But I'm not like a post.
“Do you just take cold milk out of the fridge if you're giving them a bottle?”
No, I just take the bag and I run under smoking hot water in the sink. I don't want to sit there. I want to put it in the bottle warmer and walk away, and it really doesn't take long. I don't have to sit. My head just sit there.
It takes longer to do the bottle warmer. I can't get it on this for you. And also, once I saw you guys, I think Blake had like, like, boils water on the sink of this day in a pot. Well, it's because we pack it in a bottle.
That's why we do it like that. But it is harder if it's in a bottle. When it's in a bag, it's not. It's always packing. Like, if you were running a bottle under the sink, that would never work probably.
But the bag it warms up really quickly. Yeah. Put it in a bottle warmer. But maybe we'll try that next time. But no, I was going to say, I do want to get a bottle warmer next time.
Okay. I think it's better. You guys solely on the water on the stove because it's in a bottle. Do you use glass bottles? No.
It's plastic bottles. But he does it. We don't have a bottle warmer here. Right. So at home, we do have a bottle.
And we have a portable bottle. And we always use wine. You guys had the boiling pot. But that makes sense because it's in the bottle. It's in the pot of water on my stove.
So many times. And also, one of the time running. He liked his voice. He liked his voice. And he loved the stove on all day.
I've done that before. Yeah. Done that before. We've gasped. His little concern.
Peter, this would be a laundry detergent though. I would admit that. Yeah. You just get a clean, just get a scent for you. I don't have any reaction to me.
So I'm like, if she's on my, you know what I mean? That your baby is not having your reaction to your clothes being near you. Our kids did actually. It's kind of a good point. It's like, you're washing your kid's clothes and everything.
But you're holding your kids when you've got detergent. Yeah. I don't even think dreadful. Good for, like, the famous brand dread. It's not even probably good.
It's very fragrance.
Yeah.
I like it because I have it. Once I run out, I'm not buying it. Yeah.
“I like it because it reminds me of a baby.”
Yeah. But I don't think I'm like doing something special for them. Teethwining at home literally leaves my teeth sensitive. Yeah. Actually, but I use the lumino ones.
They don't leave me sensitive. Or the eno probe. But apparently dentist said those don't work. So I did add for them. I thought they worked.
I have fake teeth. So I can't. Yeah. Okay. [laughing]
Buying a house.
Everything is always breaking.
And we, my husband, have to fix it. That's okay. I'm just a country. My husband didn't breathe these. Um, 25 steps skin care routines.
Absolutely. Just can't only take so much. Yeah. I don't know. That's not all soaking in.
Layers. Four, three, twenty, five. I'm not saying doing that. Breaking the barrier. Yeah.
You got your beard. Red, broken. Dicing, air, app. I don't have ones, but I can't say. I don't have one.
I actually wrote this as one of my personal flops. Oh, interesting. I borrowed one. I borrowed them actually. I could say like two to three times.
“It's actually one of the most returned products.”
Interesting. I'm really expensive. So it's difficult to use. It's hard to use. But even when you do use it, it takes a while for me at least.
And your hair just falls right out. It does. Okay. So I have the T3 microversion. And I like it.
But it's, I had to lower my expectations about my curls going to look like. It's like a blowout look. Or just like movement. But I'm like, that's a lot of work for a light curl. Just curl the ends of your hair.
I know. Totally. See, let's curls. I agree. I agree.
I did it twice. And I was like, I'm out on this. I don't want to headache. And I want to sleep good. And I don't remember.
And I don't remember. It looks like cyber trust. Oh. I don't have an opinion. I feel like it's a good billboard.
I think they're hideous. I mean, the other stupid.
Here's what I think about them.
I appreciate the innovation. I agree. I like that it's different. My son thinks they're cool. Right.
I'm like, you know, I like that it doesn't look like a normal car. But that's as far as my, my husband's. I think that's cool. And there will be a cyber drug in our driveway. I don't know.
Did you work? Mad power did. What about your mom car? I don't. I'm getting a mom car.
I'm still. [laughter] You're like, don't. But Abby, you're the friend. I'm just in there.
“I'm like, I'm getting a freaking key of carnival.”
Yeah, baby. He's like, not the minivan. But the cyber drug. I was like, that feels like a dad car. And that's getting a truck.
He drove a truck in high school and he just misses that. Oh, I thought those calbs truck. Did they share it? The black ones like calbs. They had a couple.
Probably. I probably did. I think I mentioned already on the pod. But red light therapy. Love from Ireland, Maria.
Maria. Yeah. Be our one. I mess. Why are we wearing them to our workouts?
I feel like they are worn. You're supposed to wear like 10 minutes. You're like, where are they? They're performing over. I don't know.
It's performative. Like. I don't know because it kind of feels like it's going to over stimulate me. Like the stick around my face. I actually really liked them.
I used the ones. They were just some Amazon. It was turaz and honor was the brand. And I wore them every morning for a month. And I noticed a huge difference.
Right. Yeah. So and those weren't that expensive. But maybe just for the extended wear. I saw the other creator wearing them.
And she started in the morning and then went and got her hair done. And she had them on the entire like hair colouring. Everything like they'll hold. They're because the new successful stickers. They're the pimple patches.
But they don't even. Why? They don't last that long. I. And let's do it like replacing them.
Maybe she's replacing them. No. I mean, you're. Has a controversial one. That's why you see Miss Gaby.
You see the condos. She said, I mean, when you are married. They're just the most horrible thing. I agree. I'm team team that.
I'm team condom. Listen, I'm not trying to have baby. And I'm not doing the other stuff. So. Yeah.
There's other ways. Um, hope is. No, we have our hope is. That's on my list. I love the colour and feel.
Not durable. I'm barely lasting me three months. Oh, you know what. Mine last about. I would say if I wear mine a lot, they last like six date months.
They're not. I go full year long. Sure. Yeah. But that's like any run, which run.
They're also meant for running only. Like you're not supposed to wear them all the time. So you're a nurse or something. I feel like if you're like, you're putting your proud in the pavement on those. I could see you running third and quickly.
But what else are you going to wear? No, I'm saying they should. But I could see them out of lasting as long. If you're using them. That often.
Like I only wear mine on walks and runs. This next one actually creates a reaction. reactionary candles. Mary. I'm sorry we're disagreeing. Do you have one? I was like, I'm going to take gloves and I'm getting ready. I love candles. I love your peppers. Loki grows. I love
doctor. I don't like doctor. Personally, but I don't like Coke. And I used to always, my
made a name is pronounced Coke. And I was like, it's still, I should like, like, I literally
Take that first.
visual. Atty, I never said your last name for a long time because I was like, it's
it's a cut. It was kind of said in a lot. I owe CH spelled Coke. Blake tells me it's pronounced Coke. I'm like, that is not how I'm going. I still tell you how my last name is pronounced. He's
“like, you're actually wrong. Do you need to say to e-bikes? Maybe. Maybe. I kind of agree.”
I was like, I want my kids to pet all their own bike, but then I realized it'd be left
behind. I know. I would say that all the time, like, poor two days would be left in the dust,
but these kids. Little London leggings 100% disagree. I kind of agree. I don't hate private on that one. Oh, well, I'll talk about this later. Abby drank the potion because she worked there. Don't do one of my stories for later. It is okay. Okay, now let's go into
“our personal flobs. Mary said my first one, which was the era. I used it. Yeah, I used”
it a couple of times with friends because I was seriously going to buy one. This was in that time where you couldn't even buy one because they were being bought all the time, but turns out most of those ended up returned. I, there was like a crazy high return rate. I don't know what it was, but I think it's because it is a disappointing product and I don't think people would have been disappointed by the results if it wasn't like $500. Yeah, it's very expensive.
Yes, I understand. That's a price point for a premium price. Premium price for a whatever
product. Not a great return. Okay, my first one is, sorry, Abby. Well, it's natural deodorant,
“but it's specifically, well, it's all of them. Okay, I've tried all of them. I've tried them all. I tried them all. I tried them. I tried them weird pit. So I know. That's why every single one I get in a”
allergic reaction to and this is a bad story. You're ready for this one. I did an ad for Wild to come in. What do you say? I'm coming clean. I love it. I actually stand by it because I mean, well, then I said, hey, I actually have a lot of allergic reactions to natural deodorant. So I'm probably going to pass and I go, we have a sensitive line. So they sent me the sensitive line. I used it and I did not break out. So I put the refilling. I was using it. I did my ad. It was great. I ran through the
sensitive one and I put in the next sensitive one. Yeah, I immediately marapids blew up. And you can't interfere your allergies. That would ever since then I haven't been able to use their deodorant because they're primarily pure, tombs, love beauty planet. I mean, I've tried, like, I feel like you're not alone. I feel like a lot of people dislike natural deodorants. But here's my argument. I feel like you're as different because you're having an allergic reaction. You can't really like it. I don't know what it is. But your your armpits do need an adjustment period. So you're used to like
anti-personance, for example, like you have to like you're going to sweat. You're going to sweat for a while. Your body will regulate and then same with odor. Like it will you do need there's a period of time. Yeah, I agree. But then I feel like you also your body will just and I think it's kind of worth it. Yeah. Yeah. I just can't tolerate it. Take it. Well, you're not alone on that one. Yep. I do love wild deodorant. Okay. I have to preface this one by saying I love super group sunscreen. I have it in my purse right now. I love it.
I love it. What I'm not sold on and was actually kind of disappointed by it was their tinted sunscreen. Oh, interesting. Yeah, they don't it you rub it in a disappear. It doesn't do anything for the tinting aspect doesn't do anything. So don't buy it for that reason if you're hoping to have like a Like a little coverage a little color. It doesn't do it. Can I actually say I don't understand to the sunscreen at all. I have some and I'm like, what do you mean? I'm going to put this to the sunscreen on and then put makeup on on top of it and then do I reapply it.
I think the point is to know what right. I can view this. No, I think the point is just if you're not going to wear makeup you could wear that. Like if you're not wearing makeup like at the pool and you want like a little glow. Oh, okay. I was misunderstood. I don't think it was a makeup on top of it. Okay, so yeah, I was doing it wrong. Okay, I'm going to put it sunscreen on and then make up and then sunscreen on like a tinted like it's like a like a like a cream from my face. Like a foundation. Yeah, see that was make up on top of it.
Okay, so you guys would be your makeup. Okay, but then my hands were tinted. Is it on my due to tell me you're going to the pool and you're wearing you've got like tinted. Watch your hands. It's not the pool. I just don't get it. I just don't get it. That one don't put in your best on your kitchen on your bathroom counter. I'm just not going to use it. Don't use it, obviously. It's not for you. Okay, my next one. I have the walley foam case. Let me show you. Don't say you don't like that. I love my walley foam case. I got the magnetic case because I was like, Oh, I have this which I actually like because I take it off. I could put this on my stuff like my.
I used to have the. It's not the only pop. What's it called? They just take to the back of your body. The octobody. Okay, so I love my.
People are clicking on.
They're like. It's grown. It's grown. It should not have a microphone. Okay, the octobody is amazing. And so I got the walley pop, which is their magnetic version. It's pretty pretty. Yeah, that's the likes we've ever. More pregnant. I get the more I don't want to eat.
You got to take it. You got to take it. Anyway, the walley pop sticks to nothing. It's nothing. Okay, don't buy the walley pop. You're getting so neat. I know it's fine. No one's fine. No one's fine.
No one's fine. All these names are so similar. I'm sorry. Oh, my gosh. I'm not okay. This is easier.
“I did not know that's what was going on.”
That's why I keep clicking on an alley pop. I didn't know why. I didn't know why not. I didn't know. I'm so sorry, everybody.
We can skip this one. Just don't buy the walley pop. It doesn't stick to anything. Just get the regular focus. That's all I have for flops.
I feel like I'm generally pleased with my product. Yeah, the other one was the dime. I love dime as a note-hole general. But their skin care doesn't work for my face. That's all.
Okay, let's get what's our personal favorites. I feel like naturally, let's stick with the beauty category. We'll do beauty in style. Mine is. Okay, I have very, very, very, very.
Oh, we brought a show in tell. We're showing telling for the people that can see. I can see. Oh, I can see. Was that a pop?
Gold? Yeah. That's sad. I'm not sad to touch you. Oh, my gosh.
I remember we're going to get there.
We're never going to finish this.
I don't think we can come recover from this. Okay. Josh, say it. Here we go. My favorite beauty product is the first serum concealer.
If you have very dry under eyes, this is not going nowhere. It's not like a cakey, but it's very light. It doesn't get into my creases. And it's really good. Next.
I don't want to get into it. It's on top of this. You can get in the target. Okay, skin care.
“Do you have any show in tell things for your skin care?”
Good old basic survey. Oh, that's class. You guys, but this kind don't get the hydrating one. Get the oil control one. This one is recommended by dermatologist like everyone.
This doesn't call your pores. It actually gets your skin clean. Wow. And I have used this since I was in college. Wow.
But I also have another one. Yeah. This one's a new favorite. Oh, vacation. They're packaging is so cute.
And Abby, this is a sunscreen. You can't mess up for your face. You literally spray it on top. That's cool. I love this because I need to reapply face on the screen.
But if I got a mask. It smells really good. But as you have 15, I, like, if I have my face all done, then I'm like, I don't want to rub in more sunscreen on my face. But this is just spray on top. That's a genius product.
And in your hairline. Oh, that's smart.
I always get burned on my scalp.
“So I always put sunscreen in my hairline.”
And it's literally just like white cream in my hair. That'd be perfect for that. I love this time. And your ears and stuff that are hard to get. Wow.
Okay. Am I not to get that? You really showing it at CVS. Okay. Clutch.
My skincare product is actually everything in anything married skincare is unbelievable. I love their instant glow serum. I love their moisturizer. I've repurchased those probably four times myself. But this is a new product that blew me away.
It's the great skin double cleanse face wash. It's a foaming. Look how much I've used. It's a foaming face wash. Oh, I love a foaming.
It's so good.
I've actually never had a face wash.
I actually took my makeup off in one go. I do this over my sink. It's really foamy. It's really light. It gets everything off.
I use a white towel's after. No marks for my makeup. I've never had that. Like it's fully off my face. My skin's clean.
Wow. Actually, I learned something from watching your videos. I used to never. I used to always avoid my eyes with my cleanser because in the new to junior commercials growing up with the celebrities.
They always go around their eyes. So I would always have to take my makeup off separately with Vaseline. Yeah, I started using it on my eyes. It helps a lot actually. Wait, my videos.
What?
No, the new to gene ads. Do you remember those? Yeah, your videos.
“When you like take your makeup off with your balm and you put it over your eyes.”
I was like, you could put cleanser on your eyes.
Oh, yeah. I'm an old lady that likes cold cream. So do you do what? What makes it double cleansing? It has an oil in it.
Oh. But do you still wash it before it separates? And you have to shake it up before you. No use it once. Shake well.
Apply three to four pumps. I don't know what it is to be honest, but it has it separates. That's all I can say about it. And you have to mix it up. So it has a whatever.
It has a whatever. Next category fragrance. For this one, I actually ran out of mind because I love it so much. And it was really sad to part with. But this is kind of niche.
I don't feel like people talk about this one. But the molecule 0 to fragrance. Oh, I don't know. Never heard it. I'm going to buy another one.
You guys can all smell it. But it is a fragrance that I would love to one day try to find a way to recreate. Because and like with a slightly more feminine version. It is such a clean kind of musky scent. And it just I like I like it's so hard to find this smell.
Because I feel like a lot of musky ones kind of go to like a Woody scent. Yeah.
And I'm like I don't that will do masculine.
Yeah. This one feels like clean and like musky though. And I just I can't really describe sense very well. But this you can get it on Amazon. And I'm going to repurchase.
It's a little pricey. Oh. I like you like romantic sense. Hmm. I'm a romantic person.
I know. Yes. I like musky. It's like that's kind of a romantic. Yeah.
I like rose. I feel like that's like a like it's kind of like you don't hear a lot of rose scented things anymore. Either kind of feel like an old lady for liking you. Yeah. I like rose.
Yeah. I love that. My fragrance. I do have it for sure. I'm looking for my pot of gold.
You have pants in there. And that pot. I brought everything. Okay. You can see.
I need to re-stock it. It's the dime seven summers perfume. Oh. I have that one. I know you do.
I actually got it. I came here for Griffin's gender reveal. You had the dime perfume. Oh. It brings me back that time.
Yes. I've used it since then since 2022. And I just keep me purchasing it. I love it. It's clean.
So that when I'm spraying it. I don't like CJ or video. I'm going to have reactions to it. It's light. I love this smell specifically.
I love vanilla. And it's like really warm. And just it's just a good classic smell. I think smells go in everybody. And yeah.
I just will never not buy this.
I love it. And it's like $37 or something. It's really, really expensive. And I actually have kind of learned why. It's it.
What goes into them is very expensive. I believe it. Yeah. I know. This one you do have to reapply often.
It's not like the most long lasting scent. I will say. But smells. Oh, the molecule lasts even through a wash. You guys.
Wow. Now, I don't think it's clean. No. But I lasted a wash.
“That's how the merit perfume, the retrospect.”
I love it. But it's like one spritz. Or it could be too much. I love it. And it's long lasting.
Oh, that's good. Yeah. For fashion. I actually ordered another one. And it was on my front.
No, it was on the front. Wow. Let's be real. I'm not very fashionable right now. I feel like I'm just, you know, comfy, what's easy.
And I've been really loving the comfort matching set. They're so good. Guess who I got on these as well. Me. Okay.
You and who else. Wow. Oh. That's got my coat too. But like.
Oh, these cute. You might show my endies. Oh. No big. Yeah.
I got the pink one. I have the green one. But like, I'm telling you, if you're pregnant or postpartum. And you want to just be able to still wear them. Like, you want to feel put together.
Okay. Here's the truth about it. You can wear pajamas. If they're completely matching. And you put on a pair of shoes.
Yeah. It's a makeup. Yeah, maybe do. Do you want your hair or your makeup. We got to do one of them.
I don't know if this is actually. Maybe it might be marketed as a pajama set. Oh, really? I didn't know that. I don't care.
I don't care. I'm wearing it all. I wear it to the zoo. I wear it to the zoo. I wear it to the zoo.
I love those super comfortable. They have so many colors. Yeah. And patterns as well. I love it.
You got me the pantset for Christmas. And I love it. Oh, I also have a more dressy option. I have a more dressy option from Queens. They have these cotton cash mirror.
So it must be like a blend. Yeah. Ripped dresses. And I just got the. I think it's like a cocoa.
It's like a dark brown one. The taint up I wear. That's the same color. Yes. You can get these dresses.
And so if you're pregnant, it will definitely stretch. They're so comfortable. Very high quality. And how often you see cash mirror for under a hundred dollars. I know.
And it would be great for like all seasons. You could make wear it for fall, dress it up. Like with a sweater or jacket on top. Or now like I'm going to wear it all summer. Heck yeah.
“I think that is a great wardrobe staple.”
Yeah.
I would agree.
Okay. My. Abby's drawers are out. Hold on a moment. Let me zip up.
Wait. Let's do a little. Yeah. Some more. That's special.
Okay. These are the abracron. Be curve. Loose shorts. I actually think these are the.
Bad shorts.
“But I think there might be discontinuing the dad's short.”
And trained it to the loose. I could be wrong. But both of them. I have the loose and I have the dad. And I'm obsessed.
I need the curve love because I do have a small waist and. Big hips. Oh, poor you. And they're the only ones that like really do. They don't gap in the back.
So they're really comfortable. They're the perfect length. I feel like they're fun to dress up or dress down. And it's the perfect. This is the medium watch.
I have a medium and black. I just think you can dress them up or down really easily. Just a good classic. It's the first pair of denim jeans that had. That's just 14 years old.
The first pair you've had.
Because I've just never liked the length.
They're so hard to find. They're so hard to find. And I love the length because it goes past like the wide part of my thigh, which I don't want them to be so short that it like. I don't know. Just feels too short if it's past that.
Do you know what I mean? It's the perfect length. I know. I love them. I love them.
That's a really good find because I feel like denim shorts just. I know. And they're on sale all the time. They're so good. I'll ever come to you.
Yeah. For accessories. I did my truly blessed jewels necklace stack because I actually don't feel like I want to spend my time with them. It's just not on my list of priorities on the day-to-day.
But I love that these are permanent. And they're awesome local business. Well, they're in Scottsdale. But, um, and I just like think that they have really high quality materials that you can personalize. And so I have like all my kids like little charms on this one.
I love this little pearl one that's the Kaya Pearl Choker. And this one has all my kids. And Matt's personal. Oh, which one? My top one.
Oh, yeah.
I've got a little tangled.
But I love that you want to think about it. So has Matt Griffin and Augie's personal too. So pretty. Um, yeah. I really can't recommend them enough.
“I think that's an amazing, honestly, with May coming up.”
Amazing Mother's Day. Treat for your mom. For your husband to give you. Like it's just quality, simple, beautiful pieces that will last and. Obsessed.
And they're a small business. Yeah. I love that. Yeah, I love my chain bracelet. Or matching ones.
The Addy cut off for her cruise. I cut off for my cruise. So I can get on the water. Sorry. Trees in.
No. Because it doesn't have to go get new one. It's worth the memory though. It was worth the memory. Um, my favorite accessory.
This is a little bit of a pricey one. But it truly is my favorite. Now it's my new bag. It's the air. The coach shoulder bag.
It's the perfect size. I have this thing stuff because it's currently my diaper bag. But it has three pockets. Um, I love this stuff. Well, you know, maybe we'll do it.
Oh, what's in my bag? And a few. Baby fibs. But it has two like magnetic pockets on the outside. And then a zipper pocket in the middle.
And it's a shoulder strap bag. So I like the things feel secure. I have a Vivi pocket. A mommy pocket and a CJ pocket. Oh, yeah.
I love it. Actually, it all kind of leads in the mind. But it's okay. Order. It's such a beautiful bag.
And for it to be leather.
“I think it's around 250, which is a good.”
I mean, I thought it was way more because those designer bags get crazy. I know. It's from the outlet store. They still have it. It's the air and shoulder bag.
It's like the perfect. I like the color bag. Thanks. I know. I wanted to brown.
Okay. Moving on to our next category. It's home in lifestyle. What's your favorite home item? Okay.
This is. This is going to sound really. Boozy at me. I will say I got sent these items in our house. But I feel like when every time I look at them, I'm like, those are so beautiful.
And so perfect. It's our curtains. They're often two pages. They're the custom curtains. They're just pleaded.
They're pressed plea. Some place. They're really thick. Heavy duty. Beautiful fabric.
And I just feel like our house is small. So the touches that we can make that feel special and custom. Make a big impact in our house. And I just look at them in the rooms. I'm like, wow.
Those are so special. So if you can budget and say for them and get custom curtains. I go room by room. It like transforms your space. And we got them from two pages.
And I love them. I purchased them on my own diet. I know. And I have the curtains in mind. And would you say it's worth it?
And they're worth it for me in the fact that they were very user friendly to who they are from.
Because I'm like, I don't know the first thing about blinds.
So I needed a lot of help. And so yes, I would definitely say that. Okay, this one is also kind of frivolous. But I said our robot rock. It's a like electric vacuum mop.
And I hate cleaning floors. Like I just hate it so much. And so we just run this thing every night. It is so smart. This little robot.
It goes around our dog. Like it's around like a dog turn around. Like it like it mobs our heart. It gets up on rugs and will then switch gears. And then clean the like vacuum the rug.
Whoa, that's cool. Yeah, it's pretty high tech. How often do you have to empty it? It empties itself.
It goes back to full valve.
What? That's so bad. That's so bad. It's like refueling. And it like does.
Oh my gosh. Going home. And then it goes back.
So it does it all throughout the night.
Oh, and to be honest.
“I don't know about like the changing the water.”
Because that's a, that's Matt job. Sure. I can't even know. That's all right. It's a blue job.
And it doesn't seem to be too time consuming. Because that doesn't really ever notice him doing it. Yeah. Okay. Well, that's exciting.
The robot wrong back here. They have several. But that's the brand that we have. They have like different varying degrees. Mm-hmm.
Okay. Very cool. My favorite kitchen gadget is. The silicone kitchen aid. Bull inter that you gave me.
That your mom got you for Christmas. She got me three. So I had you gave me one. I love this thing. I'm so glad.
Me take my eyes out of it. That's what that is. That's what this is. It goes in your sand mixer. Yes.
And it's like a cover. So if I make cookie dough. Because a lot of times I'll try to chicken. And then I'll be like, Oh, I have to clean my bowl. And then go make my cookie dough.
Like it's, it's just an extra step. So this thing you could just pop out. And or I'll make my cookie dough in it. And then I pull this out. Sort of my cookie dough.
I've never heard that many times.
You have my third one. You want it? The red one? It's so nice. And you could put it in the dishwasher.
“And yeah, I don't ever like, I can keep my cookie dough in the bowl.”
And still have my stick. And it comes with a lid. It has a lid. Yeah, I love it. I use it all the time.
When you gave it to me, I was like, I don't know if I'll use that. I'll use it weekly. I'm so glad to hear. Yeah. Great.
Thank you Lori. Thank you Lori for your fine. My kitchen gadget is in my hard boiled egg maker. I mean, I can't stop. I can't stop with that thing.
I use it every single morning. I'm eating three hard boiled eggs. Did it today? Did it yesterday? I'm doing it tomorrow.
I have to think that this thing was made in Korea. [laughter] Does it do like soft boiled eggs? I do have the gadgets that are just so high-tech and smart. And they're cute.
Yeah. It's my little dash, egg maker. I love it. It might be time to replace it. It is breaking, but it still works.
I don't think I could tell you the last time I had a hard boiled egg. It's only $20. It's literally $19.99. I believe it was that under your best purchase. No, I had a different one for that.
But let me tell you, I love it. So I guess if you don't care about hard boiled eggs, then forget about this one. Sure. I will forget about it, thank you.
How do you describe it? Yeah, I do. That's normal. I don't know why I describe this. Okay, this one is my go-to.
I need to feel like myself again routine. I kept it light. My favorite bonnet sand's tanning moose. That'll really lift your spirits. That's good.
“If you need to just be shocked back into reality.”
Nothing will make me feel hotter. It doesn't even matter if I apply it, right? It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter if it's the right color. Right.
It just matters that it's on. Totally. It just matters that I didn't. Just get it on your body. And that makes me feel better.
And it's from Amazon. It's actually a lesser. There's so many different self-tanners on the market. It kind of expensive. This one is not expensive.
The bond I boosted one. It's under $30. Bondai sands. Bondi sands. You can also get a target.
Okay. Well, we need an Aussie to chime in if it's Bondi or Bondi. It's $33. $33. Okay, yeah.
With the mint. Oh, with the mint. It's $29. Okay, great deal. It lasts a while, too.
Yeah. You get a couple of tans out of it. Okay. I like it. I get about 30 tans out of it.
Like it lasts a while. Oh, why do I think a bottle only got one tan? Didn't get used to be like that? No. No.
You get like 20 to 30. I have been poorly mistaken by entire life. How much are you using? I've never used it. Why are all these people self-turning?
Yeah, I've never used it.
I've never used it. I've never used it. I've never used it. All these people self-turning. Yeah, I've never used it.
I've never used it. It's expensive. A 30 bucks for one tan is like a little. Yeah, no. At that point, get a spray tan from an artist.
That's five and confused my last 15 years. Let me clarify. I probably everyone knew this but me. I've just never, self-tanned. So I just.
Yeah, well, your tan. Well, I tan my face. I'll say that. But you guys don't like the Isle of Paradise Drops. I love them.
I don't dislike them. I just like using my moose because it matches my bottle. Your body better. Okay, perfect. Our favorite date night activity.
Recently, when I say it recently, I mean, we're out Thanksgiving. Kill the. We have not been working. But I'm a date a while. We went to the movies.
And a good old fashion movie date night is the best. You do that all the time. It's just so fine. We went until I'll make it to. And Kill was really excited to make it to.
Which was kind of sweet. It's just so memorable. We went to dinner before. Some of you. And it was just classic.
Get back to the classic. That's why. We should go on a movie night. Well, we're going to be trying to see Project Hill Mary. I want to, I think, Kill would love it.
I want to see it so bad. But it's just so hard to get it on the calendar and make it happen. I've heard such good reviews on that movie. I read the whole book for the purpose of watching this movie. And the book was a lot for me to get through.
Yes. It was educational. I'm really talking about it. I would watch it. But I just don't think that's like my style of movie.
Even though it's like very well done. It seems like a guy movie. But maybe that's why we go for a date. Yeah, exactly. Yeah.
I like guy movies better actually. So don't quote guy movies. Just one of the guys.
Not at all.
I just don't like necessarily necessarily romance.
Totally. Um, I mean, what is this even a question? Cheesecake Factory. Are you kidding me? And bonus points.
If we go to Barnes and Noble afterwards, which we started that tradition. And that will take me to Barnes and Noble afterwards and pick out a book for me to read. Which a lot of people wouldn't like. I love being. I love a side reading.
And I do read every single one. The one he's like that I'm reading right now. He gave me and I'm like, Matt, crushed every time he goes, I just ask the employees what's good. Oh my god. That's sweet.
So we just go and browse and I pick out a book. That's it. It's really fun time. That is a fun time. And most cheesecake factories are by Barnes and Noble.
Fun fact.
“I think they are like, that's why I'm working out.”
Yeah. That's a really fun little date. Go to gift for anyone. Do you have one for this? And he said.
I tried to do it. No one's going to be sad about this guy's girls. Everyone wants a new cup. Hmm. That's a good answer.
Put a little swig. Give card in there. We're actually doing that for a friend. For her birthday. I know you've heard about swig.
No, I don't. My friend does. Okay. Yeah. Yeah.
So we got to a cup and then a little gift card. Sweet. Yeah. So like if you want to do a little combo thing.
Can never have enough as much as people want to tell you it's over consumption.
It is. You got to wash them. What do you get drink out of? When they're in the washing machine. They wash around.
You can rotate them suckers. Yeah. I learned the hard way. Malt. Malt.
Malt. Okay. If I go to get for anyone is the volcano candle from anthropology. Ooh. Good one.
And if even if people don't like to burn candles.
“They just don't even know the full jars.”
Yeah. And their canisters are just gorgeous. And they have different sizes. So different price points. But that is a gift that everyone loves.
Literally. We got from our real estate agent. Mm-hmm. Real estate agent. Really?
Really. Really. And we will never burn it because I'm like. This is very special. It's exciting.
It's such a special candle. It's such a good gift. Okay. Now we're moving on to food and drink category. Which is very exciting because I've been eating a lot of food during loud drinks.
Coffee order. I'm so sorry. This is so basic. But it's just what I like. Okay.
Every single morning I wake up excited about my double shot of espresso. Half-caf. What's a half-caf? It's literally like they put half the beans of a caffeinated decaf. Cool.
Anyway, because I like two shots. But I don't want to have that much caffeine. Right. You need the depth and your cup of coffee. I need the volume.
That's the depth. Sugar-free vanilla syrup. Splash of milk. Splash of vanilla cream. Recently I've been doing way less milk and creamer.
I just really wanted to taste like coffee. And lots of ice. I've seen him out of ice. It's just been so good. Good.
See, I'm kind of similar. But I'm a hot coffee girl. Every morning I wake up and I have two shots of espresso long ago. The long shot. Yeah, the long shot.
Is that what it means? I just thought it was long ago. Oh, no. I think it's long shot. Yeah.
Okay. Sorry. And then whole milk. And that's it. And sometimes I like a latte.
And sometimes I like a cup of tuna. You know, flavor in there. No flavors. Wow. Yeah.
I just love the taste of coffee. Sorry, Genzi. I like it. I know they don't like the taste of coffee. They just love the milk.
“Do you notice that when you watch these people make their coffee?”
I'm like, that's a lot. You just have a good glass of milk. Yeah. Yeah. And it's a horrible one there.
It's a horrible one. Well, okay.
My first coffee of the day.
I like it to have some flavor. My second coffee if I have one. I'll just have it. Give it to me straight. This is business.
It's not pleasure. Right. No, it's pleasure. I know. I love the taste.
I love the taste. Um, this one. Next category is hyper fixation meal. Recently it's just been anything my husband can grill. I don't want to.
Then I want the mess in the house. I'm like, Matt, you just go take that to the grill. I'll prep it and make a couple sides. It just makes my night so much easier. Yeah.
We love that. We need the ease. When I was pregnant, I didn't want to touch any meat. So there was meat in the meal. Caleb had to make it.
So I get chicken, salmon, steak. I honestly have brought up the idea of pork chops a couple times. He doesn't seem excited about it. But I love a pork chop. I'm not thrilled about a pork chop.
Have you had a good pork chop? I have. Yeah. I have. Just a person per person.
I like a pork chop. You know what burnt me out on pork was? I was like, stop. They made pork. Ellie, you could probably request that.
Not there. I know. I didn't know I could change it. Okay. My hyper fixation meal is this is a breakfast that I've been really into.
It's from Trader Joe specifically. There Trader Joe's brand Greek yogurt with honey. It's like the creamiest texture. Almost like ice cream. It's so good.
And it's so with honey. And then they have this trail mix. It's the almond cashews and chocolate trail mix. And they come in the individual packs. It's like already pre portioned.
You just dump it in there. They're so good. And you tell boys some strawberries. This is a very sweet, sweet breakfast. And that's how I get it.
Great. And I'm full for a long time. Good. Very satiating. Good.
It's so good. Breakfast is the easiest meal to get hyper fixated on. It has a really good point. Is it needed?
Just be easy.
Yeah. Yeah. When I record that. Every morning protein pancakes.
“Right now it's two eggs and two pieces of chicken sausage.”
Great. And then I'm going up from six grade to senior year of high school. I had two cinnamon egg and waffles. This is too lightly, just lightly toast. Swapy.
Yeah. And you're a floppy. So they make a mess. I'm the bus. We're out in the paper towel out the door.
Yes. We're out in the paper towel. Yeah. We're out in the door. Yeah.
We're out in the door. Yeah.
Comfort food that never fails.
Soft pretzels. Oh, you're right. They're so comfortable. It's so good. That's how you make it.
Yeah, sure. Appetizer. Yes. With the cheese dip. With the cheese dip.
You write every few opposite. Please make a clean pretzels. I love it. They never fail. They never fail.
I know. You're such a giver. I love it when people. That's my highest form of love. As people requesting specific foods that they know that I make.
Yeah. It's very niche. But it really makes me feel love. Oh, okay. Please.
All requests here. It makes you feel so known. You're talent. My comfort food is pot roast. Would you know?
Oh, yeah. I love pot roast. Can't get better than that. Pot roast is short rib. Bring it on.
You make short ribs. No, never have. But I buy it. At the store. Like restaurants.
“If I go out, there's a short rib on the menu.”
That's what I'm wearing. I made them one time and it really overwhelmed me. I was like, I can't mess this up. This was so expensive. Yeah.
And I've never, never made them myself.
So much bones. Oh, really? I mean, it's ribs. Sure. I've never actually thought about what it is.
It's rib. It's rib. It's okay. There's the bone never one. Well, I'm still going to eat it.
Yeah, they're good. Yeah, they're good. Sweet treat. How are you going to say anything other than Trader Joe's ice cream sandwiches?
Oh, this is the slime. So, the slime. This is the slime variety. So good. Delicious.
I can't explain it. If you don't live next to Trader Joe's, I know you're paying for 23 years of my life. I didn't live next to Trader Joe's. And it's a burden that you just have to carry.
But the rest of us can enjoy this. My burden is that they're not on Instagram. That is so annoying. But honestly, it is a fun experience. It is such an experience.
I enjoy it. And every time I go, I have to get like five boxes of these. Because I don't know when I'm going to be back. And I go through them so fast. I know.
Only four in a box is criminal. But it keeps us coming back. It keeps us coming back. My sweet treat is a rice crispy. And you know, I was thinking about this since high school.
When I started to realize that I had free will. I would buy two of the large rice crispy treats every day at lunch. And I'd put one of my backpack for later. And one I'd eat at lunch. I was addicted.
I love your eating habits. There. There. I have so many to talk about. No, talk about the hot dog one right now.
And I was like, when I was in middle school, I would throw a crazy gross bird. I eat seven hot dogs with a bun at my friends pool party. And her parents were stunned. And so I said it.
Do you like trying to set a record? No, I was just starving. And I was like, yeah, I'll eat more than the guys. I eat seven hot dogs with buns. And every time I go to her house after that,
her parents would buy me my own pack. And I was like, I'm probably not going to eat that many. I guess. I was done growing. I'm done.
I'm just going to have one. Just one. I'm a lady. Give me another. Seven hot dogs.
Seven buns. No condiments. No condiments. No condiments. Just no dog and bun.
That is absolutely crazy. I said they were surprised.
Like, I've never been like, well, we didn't buy enough.
You know what I mean? They're probably freaking out. - I hate it. - I hate all the dogs. - I hate all the dogs.
- I hate dogs. - I hate dogs. - I hate dogs. - I hate dogs. - I hate dogs.
- I hate dogs. - I hate dogs. - I hate dogs. - I hate dogs. - I hate dogs.
- I hate dogs. - I hate dogs. - I hate dogs. - I hate dogs. - I hate dogs.
- I hate dogs. - I hate dogs. - I hate dogs. - I hate dogs. - I hate dogs.
- I hate dogs. - I hate dogs. - I hate dogs. - I hate dogs. - I hate dogs.
- I hate dogs. - I hate dogs. - I hate dogs. - That's my case products. - No upset. - You gotta have 'em.
- Let's go deep with the magnetitals. - I agree. - Baby product. - Newton Baby breathable mattress. - Ooh.
- Yeah. - That's give me the most peace of mind, isn't mom. - My, both my babies are like face fully in the mattress sleepers. - They can breathe. - That's great.
- I said the dreamly on sleep sack. - Those are great too. - In fact, I had a couple conversations with Oki. Oki is approaching three and I'm like, hey, what do you think about not going with a sleep sack tonight? - It's like a blanket.
- No, it's the sack. - Oh, he loves it. He just feels so safe. - Yeah, they should make a transition product. - Like a blanket or something for older kids.
- Yeah. - He loves it so much. - Yeah, that's a good idea. - Oh, time buying taller activity. - Mine's kind of weird.
- What is it?
“- I think the Amazon kids knives go the kids knives.”
- You have a kid knives. - Any it. - The fruit of vegetable that you're going to be using, anything you need to cut in your recipe that you can safely give to a kid to try to cut with those knives?
- Yeah. - While you're cooking, or say for instance,
I just keep some celery in my fridge.
- Right. - If I'm like, I really need to cook, but I can't really give any of these tasks to them 'cause it involves heat. - Oh, that's a good idea.
- Sharp things. I literally just let them sit there and cut celery. - Wow. - They will do it for so long, so diligently cutting celery.
“And I think it's great for their motor skills.”
- Yeah. - And that knife set is so cheap and we get so much use out of it. - Yeah. - And it could really, my kids don't color, but they will cut with their knife cut.
- They will cut, but they also like scissors. - That's so good. - So I think that's a good activity too. - That's a great one. Mine is CJ loves going in the backyard with the hose
and washing his cars. - That's a good idea. - He loves it. Like our backyard saves, so I could just open up the windows
and it's all built. You'll perfect there, turn the hose on. And I don't care if he gets wet. He usually comes back, not with his clothes on. He's taken out, he's getting some sun,
he's outside getting fresh air, and he's washing all his toys. - My kids aren't usually enclosed. - Yeah. - He does.
- I did look up 'cause I was curious about the dream and baby, they have one that's for walkers, so you put their feet in it. So like, all you still has one that's like, fully open.
- He's full of the bag. - He's full of bags. - Trust me, he walks in it. - All right, yeah. But this one has like,
- Oh, wow. - Actual. - Oh my God.
“- You guys, you guys, you can't even fully extend”
his legs in it. And I'm like, hey buddy, let's get rid of it. He's like, no, he literally just curls up and it's like a little baby. - That's sweet.
- Number one. That's genius. - That's genius. - There's actually three. - Dreamland did a April Fool's Day joke last year,
the I fully fell for. - Love you, don't ones. - Genius marketing, except they weren't actually selling a probably, but I got a lot of attention.
They said they're making adult dreamlands and everyone was so excited, including your girl. (laughing) And then they didn't get a, they didn't make it. - They're like April Fool's.
- No, you're like, wait a minute. I know today's the day I stay up Instagram, please. I can't believe you've come to my head, thank you, jokes. - Oh, companies are doing it today.
- I mean, they're always like we're close.
I remember when we were closing bolt. (laughing) - This is so sad. (laughing) All the, you know, I was like,
oh my gosh, all these small businesses are also closing. - We're closing together. - It was, I felt validating first. I kind of like, the market's hard. And then it was like April Fool's.
(laughing) We're crushing it. - I understand. (laughing) - Dang it.
- I don't know for you. - Entertainment, media slash music. What you got? - What you got? - Guess.
Justin Bieber. - Oh, maybe you got it. (laughing) - I'm not a woman that switches up her music. Listen, Justin Bieber's been the soundtrack to my life. I was thinking about this.
“I remember where I was the first time I heard one time.”
I was at a volleyball tournament. - I mean, in the lobby of Incarnit Word High School in St. Louis, Missouri. Change my life that day. (laughing)
I remember where I was. My first heard baby. Where were you? - I'm sorry, not baby. Sorry, I wrote this down.
My world came out when I was eighth grade freshman year, soundtracked with my young adult, my young child life. My world, first concert, big concert that I'm ever going to. When I listened to the believe album, baby.
No, it was baby. I was in my kitchen sitting on my parents' stools. It's so fun, I don't laugh because it kept saying swag. Swag, swag, on you. And then it would be loved to the song.
Purpose came out my freshman year college. So I keep going. Changes came out, right after we got married. Swag, I was pregnant with Vivian. I just, it's the soundtrack of my life.
And I'm never, I'm gonna stop.
- That is true. - I don't want to look back at when those came out or that was just at the top of your brain. - No, I did look back to confirm. Was it the top of my brain?
- Oh, my gosh. - So both. - Both. - Yes, and. - Wow, yeah, it's all right. I'm taking a hard, right?
'Cause this category was entertainment, media, music. - Okay, but, I just said audible. Like the audio, it looks like it looks. (laughing) Mine was audible.
And so audible is, I've been going on a lot of walks. I'm on public rest, so I can't work out, so I just go on walks. And I feel like I prefer to read a book, but listening to books, I have started to transition.
And I like it, you like it. Yeah, I do like it. I've read two books on audio. Every time I tried to listen to a book, I haven't liked the voice.
- Really? - The same lady does like basically pretty much all of them. - I don't know how she's got the time. - But, paid, probably good amount. - Well, it's great, Abby.
Sorry, I don't listen to you. - No, that was a good one. - No, that was a good one. - Okay, favorite book, slash movie. - The Nightingale.
- Oh yeah. - Yeah, I read that recently, my favorite movie. - They're really good to me. - They're really good to me. - Yeah, that's a gut-wrenching book,
but it's an incredible read.
My friend curly recommended it, and I love it. - That's a good one. - I just did a recent favorite, which was the broken country, 'cause I haven't talked about it on this podcast yet,
but a lot of people were talking about it, broken country. It's like a deeply emotional book. A lot happens, it's not a very long book, but so much happens, and it's one of those, I'm like, I will remember this.
- It was, it was a good one.
- Yeah, what do you have for movie?
- I didn't put a movie. - Oh, okay. - I thought it was books, slash movie. What's your movie? - She's the man, of course.
- Of course it is.
- I watched that with you for the first time.
- You did?
“- Yeah, I think it was postpartum with Griffin.”
- Oh my gosh, that's a good movie. - That's a good movie. - When I was pregnant with CJ getting birth, I kept changing my head during a labor. - Who's gonna bring that blood and pain?
- Who's gonna, I couldn't remember where it came from, and then I watched, she's the man, and it's their chant and their soccer, soccer, huddle. I was like, why am I chanting?
She's the man. - She's so different. - She's so different. It's so stupid I did that. Who is your comfort creator, Abby?
- Okay, I have two. One for YouTube is Caroline Winchler. I love her YouTube video. She does a lot of interior design, and she just bought her and her husband,
Irfiance, I just got a really old school, really beautiful apartment, and she's been decorating it, and it's so fun to watch, she's hilarious, and I just love her videos.
She's very creative, very funny, very entertaining, and then on Instagram, Maddie Nelson, I thought her for such a long time, and her family's so sweet, they're in Texas. She has a lot of including boutique.
I just love following her.
“So the only thing I really try to scroll on is YouTube,”
and this is kind of neat, she guys, but she deserves a shout out, because I literally go to YouTube shorts every day to catch up on her shorts, 'cause she's post three a day, her name is Gloria, she does not maybe want all this attention.
- She just has such a tight and protective of this community. - Oh, what is this? - No, she's just, she's especially a, she's a special ed teacher, but she also makes content of her making her coffee
in the morning, and she makes sweet treats, and she's just so cute. - I think her personality is so cute. - Yeah, her name's Gloria, her tag is like glow, yo, yo.
- I always show them out her videos,
and I'm like, she's just, when I say, think of a comfort creator, it's this week girl. - Oh, she, like, she actually has a ton of, she has a lot of subscribers, she's 53K subscribers. - Oh, she makes, she makes shorts.
- She really does shorts. - Yeah, fun. - Anyway, she makes her coffee, and she makes sweet treats, but mostly I just love her personality. Like sometimes she'll record what she brings for lunch,
like to school where she teaches, and she's on spring break, with her mom right now, like, I did never, I know she's just really cute. And I just think her personality is just so joyful, and she loves zoom out oranges, and espresso. She likes her espresso to match the color of her hair,
and really dark, so she likes the dark. - Oh, she loves chimsoo. I mean, I just love her content, and she's cute. - And she's two dogs. - Cute, I've never heard of her, I wanted to follow her.
- Gloria. - Okay, shopping favorites, slash rapid fire. - Okay, I, I feel like my brain just stopped first. - I skipped a lot of these. - This is probably my most passionate one.
- Okay, do it. - I can make this whole category. - Okay, my favorites find under $20. - Favorite find under $20, go. - It's this light.
- It's the elixir, oh yeah. - This thing is really good. - It just clips onto the back of your phone, and it gets really bright and not gonna turn it on, but I keep it in my purse.
And even if you're just, I feel like if, when I was in college, I would have loved this,
'cause you're always out at night with your friends,
and you want to get pictures taken, and the lighting's always terrible. And no fence with the iPhone cameras nowadays are trash. They're really bad. I feel like they've only gotten better, Abby.
I just don't like it. I don't like it. And so, also, my light sensor's broken. So that's probably why. - Okay, well, but I love this light.
- That's a good one. - Yeah, it's like, it ranges from $12 to $30 on Amazon. - Mine is the unbrush. I almost brought mine. - You've been flinching.
- I should have cleaned that out. But that brush will really detangle your hair. - Yeah. - It won't tug on it. You can use it when you're here as wet.
- Love that thing. - It's really good. You influenced me, and I did get that. - Thank you. - I got it from my favorite things, party, two or two.
- Mine, I buy this over and over item. - God, it'd be elegant, it's so good. - I have probably purchased 50 of these. - I've used it exclusively. I don't really wear foundation.
“I just use this 'cause I think it has amazing coverage.”
It has SPF 40 in it, and it goes on super natural on the skin. You don't really have to match your skin color that good. It will blend, and it has skin care, and it's just, it won't clog your pores.
- Yeah. - It's clean, it's just mine's the same. - It's the same. - I think we actually wear the same color. - It's the same concept.
- No, I wear a bomb bomb. - Oh, okay. One time you got Dias, and I was like, two dark for me. It was a bomb bomb.
Okay, then I'll keep using my eye. - I forever bomb bomb. (laughs) - Next, I cheated on this one. It's my favorite thing I bought this year. I bought it last year, but you know what?
I costed my favorite last year, and this year, my espresso maker. It was a splurge purchase. I have a Jura espresso maker, and-- - Oh, yeah.
- I'm telling you, when I wake up and decided every morning, I'm not kidding. I'm so excited, and I'm so excited to make coffee for other people too. It's just, I'm like, "You wanna coffee, please?"
- Please, no seriously. - Let me. - "Low me to make you a coffee."
- And I said, when I got that, I was like,
"I'm not gonna get coffee out,"
and I don't ever even feel tempted, 'cause I actually enjoy my coffee from home one. Love it, I love it. My favorite thing that I bought this year, linen shorts had bought for Caleb, I'm sorry,
but the demand's wearing short from 2012. So it was time, and underwear, I mean, yeah, all the thing, Kills still wears as Cardinals World Series shirt from 2009. - Ooh, it's in great condition.
- Pain dry. - Pain dry. (laughs) - You wait, your favorite thing is, I think you bought for your husband.
- Listen, I'm going off the spot right now. (laughs) (laughs)
- But when I shorts from where,
I bought him yesterday from Old Navy. (laughs) - Yeah, that's true. - That was so weird.
“- I can't remember, this was one that stumped me,”
because I just started getting back into purchasing things, and there are a lot of things that took on me, 'cause it just feels good to buy things. - Mm, this is tickling. To buy your husband in the linen shorts.
- I got some old Navy, I actually bought him, I would probably want to twice. It's a whole thing, I'm not going to get into it. I love to, I would probably want to, but I just set them old Navy ones.
- They're pretty short, you know, it's a whole thing. - Okay, and my, I'll ask you off camera, yeah. My, if I care to know. You know, you can know it, it doesn't care. The people don't care.
- My go to athletic brand, Hocas, Hocas are great. - I love Hocas, I also love-- - Did I mess up my doing shoes? - No, that's great. Mine's at Lula Lemon.
I worked there, I got bought in,
and I'll never, I'll never buy out.
The quality is unbelievable. I still wear my stuff from high school. You just gotta hand dry it. Classic, quality, it can't be made.
“And I always ask for gift cards and things”
on my birthday in holidays, and it's just like the big, I just love it. I love it, I love it. - So many competitors out there. - I know.
- And they don't come air. - For miscellaneous, I said my AirPods Max, which this is one of those things where I was like, this cannot be worth it, which I actually do feel like you could probably find some good dupes,
but it was a gift for Christmas that we got, like, partially from my mother, my in-laws, partially from my grandma, and we also chipped it. - Oh, I was like, three, four, it was a pop.
- And I got these headphones, and I wear them on my walks, and I wear them when I'm doing tours, and I actually really like them. But I also have very particular ears. I don't like ear buds.
- Sure. - But these are for sure the best headphones. I really do think that. - I heard good things. - Yeah.
- Yeah, I really like them.
“I wish I didn't, I do think you could find a dupe,”
but Bosch, they're so, it's a special gift. - Yeah, that's a good one. - They get a lot of wear out of. - My miscellaneous tech is the wally case. - It's a great phone case.
- Well, great, yeah. Put your ID in there, your driver's license, one credit card, and you're at the door. It's perfect. - Wow, are you guys sick of hearing from us?
Let's hear from you, moving on to voice. - Yay. (laughing) Ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, ask
way until they are literally ready. And I know that people think this is a big scheme by the diaper companies, but literally our experience, maybe we just got lucky. I will say that was so seamless with my oldest. I literally was one day like, "Hey, do you want to wear underwear and go to the bathroom on the toilet?" Instead, he was like, "Yeah." So we did, I will say going like a day, if you stay home with them, go a day where they're
just naked, because sometimes they're just so used to just doing it whenever they have to go. Like, they need to feel like, "Oh, they can start." And they're like, "Oh, nope, this isn't the same." And then literally he just started using the toilet because I, but I also waited until he was three. And I do think that the thought of doing it with my two and a half year old, he's getting close, but I'm still like, he just needs to wait
till he's three. Yeah. But every kid is different. I don't think it needs to be this big, stressful thing. It's all I'm saying. Like, I'm like, "You can rate diapers are great and work fine." And then just start the conversation a lot. Like, even with August now, when I changed diaper all the time, I'm like, "You know, one day, we're going to get rid of these diapers and we're underwear. Pick out really fun underwear for them." Like, we talk about what kind
of underwear he'd want to wear, what he wants on them. And we just like talk about it a lot. And then, yeah, just wait, just push it off. But that's also just, maybe, if you have a special reason, like preschools, like, they do require that until daycare's. Yeah, I would just say stay home for like, plan to stay home for like three days and just leave him naked every time. And also be very kind when there's an accident. I feel like this
goes without saying, but there's like a whole category of trauma related body training for people really. And it's specifically like bed wedding. But like, every time someone has an accident, now that I've been paying my pants, I bring up all the time with the kids. And they're like, everyone makes mistakes. We're still learning. We say that all the time,
I'm like, with, with, we have an accident.
still learning. And so just like, be very, like, to get mad at your kid for that.
Seems really crazy. But yeah, just talk about it. And I'm really positive, calm way, no big deal. Yeah, love that. It's great of ice. Hi, my name is Emily. And I absolutely love her podcast. I was great every week. And just look forward to some awesome girl time with lots of laughs. My question for you guys is how do you deal with comparisons or NVs when it comes to your friendships with other women? Thanks so much.
It's a great question. Thanks for listening, Emily. It's what you mean. I, I actually feel like that my biggest issue with comparison is like, it isn't to myself. Which is kind of like, like, a look back at pictures in the past and they make me sad. Like, oh, I look so, you know, I just, it's so many things you're going on then. Like, help on what we're having. Like, I've like, myself to myself sometimes harder. I remember distinctly,
when I had my clothing business, there was one girl in particular that we had started at the same time. We were like, I just felt like I was in competition with her because we were around the same time. So a lot of the same things. And I remember feeling really bitter. Sometimes about her success because I'm not, she was, she had like really great months that you talk about. And I'd be struggling a different times. And I remember just really feeling like, hey, I have to pray
for that girl. Like, instead of being jealous and feeling that, I started to pray for her success. And that was kind of like a switch in my heart that I needed of like, it's not actually, we're not in competition. I actually can hope for her best. And that's good. Like, there's enough room for all of us. And I feel like it kind of took the attention away from the feelings of bitterness and jealousy and envy. And I didn't switch to like, I actually want the best for her.
“So that's good advice. Yeah, that's all I got, honestly.”
I think she was also mentioning specifically in like friendships. Oh, I guess the mindset like, I think we could look at our friendship and be like, where we were in similar fields of work,
like in different levels of success. And I would say I've never felt like jealousy or anything.
I think I've always just been like really proud of you. So with your friends, it's, I think it's taken the mindset of like, oh, look how much they have or what they've done. I don't have that. I think it's more so just being like, wow, like, that's amazing that you've accomplished that. And use that more of try to reframe your mind and turn that into motivation and like excitement for your friend. Then maybe like, oh, I'm not good enough for,
you know, instead of turning it into a negative for yourself, you can just be happy for your other people. Yeah, that's great. Hi, girls. A fellow Midwesterner here. I'm calling just the ask about, how have you, girls? I know you have some in-laws or family, close family members who live outside of the state. How do you guys have your kids to keep up with them? What are some fun ways that you include in-laws or parents that might live out the state just in your kid's life?
Whether that be, you know, these times or other creative ways to include them just in your kid's life. Thanks so much. Bye. That's good. I think FaceTime is obviously great. It's easy to fall out of that
“routine. I feel like sometimes like having a set time for that is probably the best way to do it.”
Yeah. That's kind of a basic one. I think there's a lot of really cute ways that like we, like we for them give them like the digital picture frames and I feel like they just get sent straight to their frames so they can see videos and pictures of the kids like in real time, like sending pictures a lot. Also, we should do this. There's books where you can record the grandparent reading a book. So then every night you could just play the audio book, like they can
push the button and then send them reading that page. And I think that's a great way to include them. You can also do like, Yoda characters like, or Yoda cards like of the grandparent's reading one. But also they just include them in everyday conversations. Like, we talk all its time about them.
Like Grandma Poppa and like at night we always say like what we're grateful for and like we just
bring them up a lot like our whole family. And so it's just like a part of our conversation all the time. And that's like that's something you as the parent can do like, yeah, with the kids. It's like, so then when they see them, it's like they're picking right back up. We talk about things that we've
“done. They're like, oh, remember that time that we went like, and we just explained things like”
Grandma Poppa's house and talk about it a lot. Yeah. It's really good. Totally. I definitely know that. I think that's great. Oh, that was a fun way guys. If you also would like to call in which also we're so grateful when you do call in and we love hearing from you and it's such an honor. The number is 6024569690. We'll also put it in the show notes recipes. We can link through so what to do. Yeah, I can say quick one. Minds the Jennifer Anson salad. It doesn't have
meat in it, so it keeps really good. You can add like we're to three chicken. It's a quinoa salad.
It has veggies.
I friend Kendall got me on to it. And I've had it a lot in the last three years. It's just a go-to.
Do a chips. It's good. Oh, my recipe is not a member of it. This is specific. If you have a bread maker, but I have a like honey wheat bread recipe, you literally throw all the ingredients in order.
“It's very important that you put them in order in your bread maker. And then you literally”
just set the bread maker on it. It'll mix, knead, let it rise and bake it all in there. And it's honey wheat bread. And it's delicious. And I made it since Matt and I got before we got married.
“So I remember you making that in your first apartment. It's filling bread and put up some peanut”
butter on it. Oh gosh, glass of milk. It's delicious. Yeah, I'm, well amazing. You guys, thank
you so much for listening. If you guys would do the honor of giving us a rating and
