Summer spouses with Conan O'Brien, Sonom of Sessian, and McRorley. And Liza Powell O'Brien, Tachbaroyan, and Amanda Lund. [MUSIC] Okay, welcome to the sixth and sadly final episode of Summer Spouses World Game Divorced. But we're marrying each other's spouses.

Yes, exactly.

This was just a long audio key party, basically what it turned into.

He's on the mixer. [LAUGHTER] There will be winners and there will be losers. [LAUGHTER] Everyone's immediately sizing up like, oh, yeah.

This could go well or horribly. And I know where I fit in that equation. This has been fantastic. I heard this idea and Matt, I want to give you credit. You had this concept and I thought, wait a minute.

That both frightens me and intrigues me. And I have to say, I've been blown away a little frightened from my job because Liza, Amanda Tach, you guys killed it today. Really great. It was really nice.

And I have to say that because Liza is my ride home. [LAUGHTER] And after that nothing. After that, you know, you're not there. So here we are.

We've just had this incredibly intense experience.

And you'd think we'd tape these all in one day. But no, that's not how we work for authenticity. We've been slaving over this for as many weeks as it takes to air six episodes, which by my count is six weeks. And we've not changed our clothes for six weeks.

We haven't changed our clothes yet. No, we'll write it. How did I do that? I remember it. I was a little stickler for that.

Everyone were the same clothes. And this has been, you know, it's just an unusual thing to do. So how did everybody feel about it? How did you feel about this experience? Were you worried going in?

Did it work out the way you'd like it to? Go ahead. How was that? I was nervous, but as soon as I got in, you make people feel comfortable. So immediately I was just like, all right, so it's come down.

Your wife was in the room.

And of course, I want to say something you always come.

I was getting to you. Sorry. You always call me Coney and Conezone and it can tell soon it isn't like it. Yeah. She'll be like, don't call him that.

Don't call him that.

“And I'm like, why can't he call me Coney and Conezone?”

What's wrong with that? I think you guys being friends, but I don't like you being like bros. Right. I don't want to. I don't want the bros.

It's like why I don't want you and Danny to be friends. That's your brother, Danny. You're just going to explain. You're not Danny to brag, but your brother, Danny. Yeah, yeah.

It's like my tooth. It's like, you know, I just deal with it. Too much. You want me kept it at distance. I just, yeah.

I'm waiting. Yes. And for that reason, I want to become your best friend of the world. I want to be by your friends. I am being my friend.

Let's do it. Amanda, you came into this. You are polished. You're a pro. What surprised you?

“Did this feel pretty much the way you thought it would?”

Oh. Yeah. It felt very professional. Yeah. That never happens.

And very concise, you know, it didn't feel like there's a lot of fat on the bone. So, and that's the testimony too. I love how because your husband edits this podcast, you're thinking about it from an editing point of view. Yeah.

Oh, he doesn't have to do much work on these. He can help a little more. She knows how to turn me on. Yeah. Liza, I told you a couple of days ago starting six weeks before that to maintain my pointless

lie. I said, uh, there's this concept. What do you think? And you went, okay, you were very chill. What did you think and how did it compare to?

I think it helps that I did this once before when I came on to promote my podcast, which was very kind of everyone to to pitch in that way. And so I had sort of gotten the feel of it a little bit, which put me very much these to the tax point. Like it's a, it's an easy room to be in.

You guys make it easy. So, you know, I think, uh, I think it pretty much went as I expected. So, there are no shocking revelations. Yeah.

“Well, that's what we have this show for.”

Yeah. I'm sorry. Bring it on. Surprise me. Yeah.

For once in your life, for what do you like? We're 26 years in. It's got to, like, please, something. It's kind of like, these, these three are more chill than the chill chunks. They really are.

Yes. Who are the chill chunks? I guess I didn't. We're about chill chunks. Yeah.

I'm telling you, Liza does not listen to my talk.

And, um, and also, I don't think really views any of my work.

“And I'm going to tell you, I'm being serious here.”

My family, uh, you know, uh, doesn't gather round and watch the travel shows or old cone in clips. That just doesn't happen. And I think it's for the best. That's probably the best.

That's healthy. Yeah. Would it be weird if, like, Liza was a super fan? Right. Well, I mean, I've asked him that before.

I said, when you, when you lose some respect for me, if I were sick, if you don't take any said, no, I would love it. I would love it. I wish that you were my biggest fan on the planet. Yeah.

I wish that Liza dressed up as the FedEx Pope. Oh, my God. That's weird on nine different ways. Yeah. Um, yeah.

I mean, we really aren't, that's not our relationship. That's not our family's relationship to each other.

It is almost like I go and work at an insurance company.

And, um, when people recognize me on the street or in a restaurant, there's kind of a, huh? Well, anyway, let's get on. Let's have that feel burned down. Yeah.

Exactly. See if you can catch up. Um, so, uh, I have seen some of the travel shows. Thank you. I keep meaning to finish watching the rest.

She's, she's watched the two, she wants like nine times. And she can't get an even longer. Yeah. She loves it when famous, beautiful people bite into something and go, "Oh my God!" It's only what I'm there for.

Uh, that doesn't happen on my shows. Um, no, it's, it's for the best.

“I think it's for the best that you're not a fan or what Lou, you've seen.”

You're not interested in seeing more.

Um, but, anyone take the lead here because, first of all, it's very hard to direct this

because it feels very organic and real and I don't want to direct it. So, I don't know if, so, if you have something you'd like to say, or Matt, you guys want to, you mean, we were all back there watching the segment from a week ago. Yeah.

Was it weird? Was it weird for you guys to watch? So, and it says yes. Yeah. It was weird.

Uh, well, it was. But also, I enjoyed it. I found it. What I found interesting about it was how quickly it seemed normal, like normal and good and viable.

I was sitting in the room. I was seeing Tunisia was there and, and Sam and Briefy and we were watching it. I was laughing and, and I was like, this is a really, I like this show and I'm going to realize, I'm not in it. So, it's not in it.

Matt's on in it and I like it better. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

I turned to Son and I said, how are they able to have a legitimate commentation? I know. I know. I know. Yeah.

We really take it down from the toilet.

“Parent has shut it down with some cruel riff.”

Yeah. You've been lighter on the laughs. I will say. You know, like, we weren't really trafficking in the comedy. Yeah, but not everything has to be fun.

Yeah. Why are you saying, God? I really saw. You're going to get me fired. One of those, A, one of those people who think sometimes a short silence between sentences

is appropriate. Well, I haven't found that to be true. No, no, no, no, no. I heard a secret stick. What was your final thought on this process?

Yeah. I mean, I like being on a mic. I like being on a video. He's guys. Wait a minute.

You don't care who it's with. Well, the equipment seems adequate. I like it. No, no. I'm sorry.

Guys, seem to get the numbers. I love that. I love that. I love that. I love that house in a while.

This is my style for me. I literally this morning. I was like, well, guess I got to go to the Northstrom wreck. I'm going to do two shirts. It is a nice shirt.

This is a big day for me because you know, I've been in the baby cave. Yeah. And where is she? She's near somewhere. I don't know.

I gave her $20. I gave her $20 bill and she crawled down the street. She's at the great white right now. Ordering mimosas. It's our day.

Well, what about you tack you had a good time? I did. Yeah. Actually, Sonna sprung this on me like two days ago. Something like that.

Like going on a podcast is like, what? So I did. I said, I said, would you like to go on a pot? You said you go on a go on a podcast. You guys are the two on the newlywed game that would hit each other with the pillows.

Yeah. You remember? Yeah. Yeah. Going on the podcast.

And Jack's the way it is. Or else you're going to get a nipple sandwich. What about your keys? Yeah. Yeah.

So I didn't have time to like get nervous about it.

No, actually. She's right. She loves to tell me what the things like, you know, it's a really good idea to keep that door shut. And I go, I don't know. It is a good idea to keep the door shut.

I like people from outside to come in. I like to talk to people. So sometimes I leave our front door open for a couple days. Oh, dear you. I mean, at the end of times, I've said in my head, like, what's the non-bitchy way to ask someone to load their shit into the dishwasher?

And I can't come up with a good answer, and so then I end up doing it. I grew up with a Butler. His name was Cadbury. Oh, wait, that's Richie Rich. Yeah, no.

We're getting there. We're getting there. There's been improvement. There's been improvement. There you have other strengths.

No, but it hasn't not been improvement. Sure. Yep. Okay, all right. There has.

There has. Or my mother would say, Shoah. Shoah. She goes Shoah. No, no, that means.

Listen, this could be a big hit. And if this is a big hit, we're all going places. We could take this on the road. Can you imagine, let's say, that this caught on. And suddenly, people were talking about, you know, the summer spouses episode.

And then, you know, whoever serious steps in and says, you guys got to hit the road. There's big money in this. And it was all of us on a tour bus.

“How quickly would this go straight to shit?”

Oh, on the same tour bus. Yeah. Same tour bus. I don't know. Who would get a really bad, like, co-cap it?

That would be lies. Classic lies, huh? I would have a giant room on the bus. Lies do would have one of those small bends. The constant, the roti-flation.

And I would keep it neat as a pin. Neat as a pin. Yeah. And when I'm down with a dish, I would open my little door and toss it out into their pile of the bus and then shut the door.

And Lies would come down. Oh, hell. This scrapes, scrapes, scrapes. Yes, other string. We're going to hit the road gang.

I think this is going to be big. Yeah. Only do it in the cartridge family bus. Oh, yeah. I say separate buses.

Yeah. Motley through style. You know, but, like, couple of more. Oh, my crew. I'll have to just treat it in my own bus.

Oh, okay. And then me and the boys. Yeah. No, no, no. The boys each get their own bus.

Each one. I would. Your boy. I feel like your boys would take to the road very well. Yeah.

They like traveling. Yeah. They do their own hotel. I think they would trash hotel rooms. No TV's out the window.

You have to trash everything. Yeah. Yeah. They love, they love a good bus. They love a good hotel room.

Yeah. Yeah. They love being on the road. Yeah.

They probably would always be in his bus

crafting building little liquor related cabinets. Do you know what a crochet? Hmm. First he does. Do you know how to cross stitch?

Well, cross stitching is easy. Yeah. Don't insult him.

“One time I learned to crochet with my grandma, but I don't remember how to.”

Oh, yeah. It's so easy. You know how to crochet, right? I don't know. I don't know.

Why do you say it though? Like I got you.

Like you have like a craft box. I feel like I had a craft bod. You got a craft bod. What's a crafting bod? Like a dad bod but a bod.

“Someone that obviously just has crafting.”

I got here since you're still in the band crafting. Yeah. That's the body you have. And that is the body I have. Yeah.

His ass is really astrophied. Yeah. His dominant hand is really strong. Yeah. Your knitting hand is like incredibly articulated.

Oh. Clearly you crocheted for a little while or you did something for this. I did something in the piano. We didn't figure out what it was. It was sad.

Did you make something? I made a thing. I pulled her as the. That's the cowards way out. Yeah.

It was something. It was like good. I'm sorry. You just knit until you give up and you go, it's a card holder. It goes between you and this strip will protect that same strip on your hand.

Yeah. It wasn't anything to talk about on this podcast. How do we get here? I'm sorry. I just assumed Matt like crocheted.

Yeah. Stuff we made for our parents growing up. I see now and what a load of shit. It's horrible. And I, you know, but it's that it's that thing.

“Actually, I think the stuff our kids made looks pretty good.”

Yeah. Pam Calgelson. Yeah. Yeah. No amazing things.

I just look at the stuff. And I look at the stuff like my brothers and I made. And I just see this looks, this is awful. What a bunch of idiots. Sweet.

They saved it all. Well, I found it in the dumpster. I just, my dad thought it was, they would take. It was a dumpster from 1967.

And they just never came and emptied that one.

Because I was in charge of getting it out. Well, this was, I think, I mean, I think we've, we've really done something here. I think what we've done is we've shown America that all that we all have our differences. We can come together as one. That's not at all what we did here.

No, we didn't. You really went for the Scottish in the beginning of the series. Six weeks ago. Yeah. Six weeks ago.

I went hard after this. The Scottish, and I was like, well known. That is a well known trouble with the Scottish. They are frugal. Yes.

I've heard that. Yeah.

“Oh, don't, you're afraid of getting canceled.”

I just don't trust my sources. Okay. Well, you, you don't trust my sources either. No, which is correct. I will experience the same thing lies experiences.

And then I'll hear her telling the story later on. And I'm like, good God. How did it become this? But it's amazing. It's very creative.

For example, I always love this much.

And because I'm poor. I don't know where she came from. Yeah. God bless us all. I was your assistant for a long time.

Excuse me, what's up? I was your assistant for a long time. And you worked as my assistant for much longer. Okay. But you're my assistant.

All I did is I came back up with Liza saying, which is, you do leave shit. Yes, places. Yeah, yeah. I'm sure Picasso was a little messy.

Okay. Well anyway, I was want to say God bless us. God bless us everyone. What we did here was heroic over the last six days. What are you doing?

I'm trying to give this a big ending. I'm trying to land this plane. And I, here's the thing about me. I will land it. But then take off and try to land it.

Oh, yeah. And you're like a reverse subtly. Yeah. I'm a reverse selling burger. I will get it up out of the Hudson.

And then I will crash into the Hudson again. But I just want to say that this has been a wonderful experience. I want to thank you all for being here. And I want to end it one more time. Oh my God.
