This is a public health advisory regarding a recently reported sensory condit...
An increasing number of individuals have described a persistent sensation of being observed
from behind even when alone.
“At first, as the entirety of these reports were coming from female identifying reporters,”
the claims were dismissed, however, it has now been determined that gender has no impact
on this condition. At this time, no physical cause has been identified, and the condition does not appear
to be harmful if managed correctly.
“If you experience this sensation, remain calm, do not turn around suddenly or attempt to confront”
whatever you believe may be present. Instead, move to a well-lit area and sit, facing an open space where you can see all exits. Do not use video calls, self-facing cameras, or the speaker function on your phone when making a personal call in public.
“The sensation typically diminishes when not directly acknowledged.”
Patients who have reacted abruptly have reported intensified symptoms, including auditory disturbances, and prolonged discomfort stemming from an unidentified feeling that something is just wrong with the world around you, but you can identify exactly what that is or when it started. If the feeling does not subside, turn off all sources of media and seek medical attention.
Until more is known, avoidance of social interactions remains the recommended course of action. Thank you.
