Parents and guardians are reminded that all students should arrive home at their usual
expected times.
“If a child arrives significantly earlier or later than normal,”
exercise caution before allowing them inside.
Confirm their identity through multiple means.
Ask questions only they would know, and verify details that cannot be easily repeated. If you have any sort of security camera mounted near an entry point, use this, as it means to communicate with the perceived child to ascertain their intentions. In some reported cases, children have returned home displaying correct appearance and behavior,
but inconsistencies have been noted in personal knowledge and responses. If anything feels incorrect, do not ignore it. Contact school officials or local authorities for guidance and confirmation of the last known location of your child, as well as the current timing of their transportation routes.
“Even if they know your name, your routines, or personal details, verification is essential.”
This is a precautionary measure. Please do not alarm your children, but remain attentive.
And most importantly, confirm that you are in fact the parent of a child on the first place.
Reports indicate that the presence of some of these children creates a sense of familiarity that should not exist. If you cannot immediately recall your child's birthday, please contact local authorities before allowing them entry.
“In the event that you are the child's father and cannot remember this information,”
regardless of the circumstances, please consult your wife before opening the door. And do better! Your safety is at stake.
