Welcome to our daily Rosary Meditation, beginning today and for the next seve...

we begin a new series on St. Faustina and the Divine Mercy leading up to Divine Mercy Sunday.

She was the first saint canonized by St. John Paul II at the beginning of this millennium.

In the year 2000, because John Paul said she is a very important saint for this time. So we need to get to know her and the message of Divine Mercy better. So let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son in the Holy Spirit. Amen. Let's call to mind all those we've promised to pray for.

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, creator of Heaven and Earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, which crucified died and was buried. He descended into hell.

On the third day he rose again.

He ascended into Heaven and he seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins. The resurrection of the body and life everlasting, amen.

Our Father, who art in Heaven, hollow would be your name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us the stay, our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses. As we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil amen. You know, Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed, our Thou among women blessed is a fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us in our ensnown at the hour of our death, amen.

As it was in the beginning, as now and ever shall be, world without end, amen. Our first mystery, Jesus asked St. Faustina, to begin a novina on the divine mercy on good Friday and conclude it the first Sunday after Easter, divine mercy, Sunday. And that's what we're doing.

But it's important to get to know St. Faustina.

She's a very close friend of mine. As you notice, I pronounce her name, Faustina, rather than Faustina, because a former student of mine, God rest his soul, who was from Poland, politely reprimanded me for pronouncing it incorrectly. Faustina was born on August 25, 1905 in Poland, and from the age of seven, she heard the

definite call of God to become a religious sister. However, she writes,

"I was not always obedient to the call of grace, and sadly she relates. I came across no one who would

explain these things to me." At 17, she begged her parents for permission to enter the comment, but she got a flat refusal, so she turned herself over to the vain things of life, paying no attention to the call of grace, even though she found no satisfaction in the things of the world, when she was 18, she was at a dance, probably in Wuj, with one of her sisters, about what happened next, she writes this, while everybody was having a good time. My soul was

experiencing deep torments. As I began to dance, I suddenly saw Jesus at my side. Jesus racked with pain, stripped of his clothing, and all covered with wounds, and he spoke these words to me. "How long shall I put up with you, and how long will you keep putting me off?" At that moment, the charming music stopped, and the company I was with vanished from my sight, their remained Jesus, and I. I guess Jesus could say the same thing to me.

Michael, "How long shall I put up with you, and how long will you keep puttin...

"Or father who art in heaven, howl it would be your name, thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven."

Give us a day, the bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us,

and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil amen. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed our Thou among women, blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us, and earth is now in the hour of our death, amen. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us, and earth is now in the hour of our death, amen.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, as now in the verse I will be, world without and amen. Oh, my Jesus, forgive us, our sins, save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls to heaven, especially those most in need of thy mercy.

Our second mystery, immediately after Jesus appeared to Faustina at the dance,

she slipped out unnoticed, leaving her sister and her friends behind, and she went straight to the cathedral. Falling prostrate before the blessed sacrament, she begged God to tell her, "What should I do next?" Then she heard these words, "Go at once to Warsaw, and you will enter a content there." She went home, confided to her sister, what took place within her soul, and asked her sister to say goodbye to her parents,

then, in her one and only dress, with no other belongings, she hopped to train to Warsaw. And when she got off the train, she was overcome with fear, not knowing what to do next,

she prayed, "Mary, lead me, guide me." Ultimately, Jesus, and Mary led her to the

convent of our Lady of Mercy, how appropriate, in Warsaw. And then from 1925 until her death in 1938, she lived what looked like a very ordinary life as a nun. She was a cook, a gardener, and the doorkeeper, except for this. Jesus, Mary, her guardian angel, Saint Michael, many saints, souls in purgatory, as well as demons, visited and spoke with Faustina on an almost continual basis. For example, in her diary from September 29, 1936, she writes, "On the Feast of St. Michael,

the Archangel, I saw by my side that great leader who spoke these words to me. The Lord has ordered me to take special care of you, know that you are hated by evil, but do not fear. Who is like God, and then He disappeared. But I feel His presence and assistance. Our Father who art in heaven

Hollowed be your name, that kingdom come, that will be done on earth as it is...

"Give us, stay our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass

against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil Amen."

"Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us and earns now in the hour of our death, amen." Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.

As it was in the beginning, as now in the Brishalbe, world without end, amen. "Oh, my Jesus, forgive us, our sins, save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls to heaven, especially those most in need of

thy mercy." Our third mystery, Jesus gave a fost in the mission of telling the whole world about

his infinite goodness and encouraged them to trust in his mercy before the day of justice arrives. The day of justice doesn't necessarily mean the end of the world. It will eventually, but it could also mean the end of this age, but it certainly means the day of justice, otherwise known as our particular judgment that we will all experience at the moment of our death. Jesus said to Fostina, "I am sending you with my mercy to the people of the whole world.

I do not want to punish aching mankind, but I desire to heal it, pressing it to my most merciful heart before the day of justice. I am sending the day of mercy." To accomplish this mission, Jesus commanded Fostina to keep a diary of all their conversations, calling her his secretary of mercy. At one point, Fostina feared she was being deceived by the devil, so she threw the diary into the fireplace, but Jesus ordered her to rewrite it, and he

would at times read her notebooks and then say, "You have not ridden everything in the notebook about my goodness toward mankind. I desire that you omit nothing." Teresa, can you imagine Jesus as your editor? Now, the diary of Divine Mercy reveals a deep personal friendship between Jesus and Fostina. As I read the diary, I too was drawn into that deep friendship with Jesus. I really encourage

everyone read the diary of St. Fostina, because I'm sure it will draw you into friendship with Christ. Our father, who art in heaven, hollowed beer name that kingdom come by will be down on earth as it is in heaven. Give us a stay, R.D. the bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, Amen.

As it was, in the beginning, as now and in our shall be, we're old without and amen.

Oh, my Jesus, forgive us, our sins, save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls, to have an especially those most in need of thy mercy. Our fourth mystery. God wants to give you His mercy, now, not after you've cleaned yourself up, but right now,

just as you are. Now I know we often think, if I give my life together first, then I'll go to God.

But that's backwards. We can't get ourselves together. Only Jesus can. At the last supper, Jesus gives us a striking example of His mission when he washed the feet of the disciples. What did he do? He didn't tell the apostles, listen, get yourself all cleaned up, and then maybe I'll eat with you. He stripped himself, he got down, and then he cleansed them. He washed their feet. Jesus kneels before us, not with condemnation, but with love,

washing our feet, washing our souls through baptism, the Eucharist, and confession. So that we can take our place at the banquet of God. Trying to purify yourself, that's impossible. Let Jesus do it.

That's why Jesus said to Faustina, tell all people that I am love and mercy itself.

The one thing I need to stop doing, and you need to stop doing, we gotta quit trying to do this on our own. All we have to do is go to Jesus, go to Him in prayer, go to Him in confession, go to Him in the Eucharist. He will transform you. Our Father Wharton Heaven, hollowed be your name, like Kingdom Condy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Yes, stay our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us,

and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, Amen. Hail Mary full of grace. The Lord is with thee blessed our Thou among women, blessed is a fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us in our ensnown at the hour of our death, Amen. Hail Mary full of grace. The Lord is with thee blessed our Thou among women, blessed is a fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us in our ensnown at the hour of our death, Amen.

All my Jesus. For give us our sins, save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls to have an especially those most in need of thy mercy. Our fifth mystery is the fourth day of our

novina to divine mercy that we are offering for our loved ones who are far away from Jesus and the

faith. Let's call them to mind right now. Jesus said, "Today bring to me the pagans and those who do not yet know me, I was thinking also of them during my bitter passion and their future zeal comforted my heart, immersed them in the ocean of my mercy. Most compassionate Jesus, you are the light of the whole world, receive into the abode of your most compassionate heart, the souls of pagans, who as yet do not know you, let the rays of your grace enlighten them, but they too together with us make still your

wonderful mercy and do not let them escape the abode which is your most compassionate heart. May the light of your love enlighten the souls in darkness grant that these souls who know you and together with us praise your mercy. Eternal Father, turn your merciful gaze upon the souls of pagans and those who as yet do not know you but who are enclosed in the most compassionate heart of Jesus, draw them to the light of the gospel. These souls do not know what great

happiness it is to love you, grant that they too make stole the generosity of your mercy for endless ages, amen. Our Father who art in heaven, hollowed be your name, that kingdom come, that will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us a stay our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil amen. Oh, my Jesus, forgive us, our sins, save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls to have been especially those most in need of thy mercy. St. Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our protection against the wickedness, mirrors of the devil. Make God review, can we humbly pray, and do that

old prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell, Satan, in all the evil spirits, and proud throughout the world, seeking the rune of souls in the name of the Father and the Son, in the Holy Spirit. Amen. Trees of before we jump into our conversation, I want to let everyone know that this Tuesday, everyone has a chance on our app for a fantastic Q&A with Dr. Troy Hinkle. He's a brilliant theologian part of School of Faith, and really does a masterful job

answering questions and helping you go deeper into the topics that we've been meditating on. So I want to encourage everyone, just go to our app this Tuesday at 630 central in the community space, and there you'll find it. Very, very helpful. Will Trees of what,

I think most people don't know that you are named Teresa Faustina. I'm sure many of our listeners

know by now. Yeah, but we have many new people who are praying with us. Very true. And you know, you don't go around saying your full name that often. Yeah, but you're your named after St. Faustina.

Yeah, it's pretty incredible. Except it took me a long time to learn how to spell when I was a kid.

And even longer with sure slick. Yes. So what are your thoughts on this meditation after, you know, reading the diary going to her event in Poland twice? Twice. I obviously I heard so many stories about Faustina, and we read the diary so many times as a kid that I'm very familiar, but I was just thinking about how backwards my mentality about saints was growing up. I just couldn't wrap my mind around it. I at some point just had to thought some people are just chosen

or they're born perfect or, you know, some people just get visions and then they're a saint. And it's just so cut and dry, but it felt so random. And I couldn't wrap my mind around it. And I was just thinking back on that and all of my different thoughts I had on that growing up.

And I think I kind of failed to miss this factor, especially in St. Faustina's life that

her writing and her experiences, they might have been personal and other people didn't witness those visions, but they're not for her. She did experience them and they were for her, but they're also for all of us. And Jesus makes that very clear in those writings. That that moment where she's in the dance hall, and he appears before her, it was direct and personal, but it's direct and personal to all of us. Any time we read that, that is Jesus looking us in the eyes and saying, how long will you put me off?

Yeah, exactly. This is the power of reading the diary of Divine Mercy because you just expressed it perfectly. And this is what I experience reading the diary. I was drawn in and it was Jesus speaking to me through those words. Exactly. Which is the purpose of the diary. Even imagining, as she said, she saw St. Michael. And could you imagine, I was just trying to picture St. Michael standing in front

of me. Could you imagine, with the armor and the wings and just this incredible figure, just mighty,

and, but she says she saw him, she recognized him, and then she disappeared from view, and she,

Then from that point, could, could really feel and experience his help in his...

And that's exactly how we should experience St. Michael. Yeah. She recognizes him, but then she doesn't

see him continuously. Right. And he continues to help her. It's a good point. We pray to St. Michael,

but we don't really think he's just this incredible figure standing before us, watching over us.

Yeah. Now the diary is deceiving. Now the diary is not deceiving. The way they printed it was deceiving. Why is that? Because they printed it on, I'm not joking. It's really thick paper.

So the diary looks like it's a million pages long. But I have. I actually have a pocket version.

I have a thin version. The paper is almost like Bibles. It's very, very thin paper.

So when you look at the diary, don't get overwhelmed. It's not reading Moby Dick. Yeah. It's not war and peace. What's wrong with Moby Dick? It's a great time. It's a very fun book. But war and peace is long. It's not war and peace. It's not that long. It's just the paper.

I'm not joking. Yeah. This is really the time. And it's simple. I mean, he's talking to not the most

highly educated brilliant scholar. He's talking to just a random Polish girl. That's right. And he's talking to all of us. That's right. Yeah, exactly. Yeah, I really encourage people by the diary read the diary. And then come to Poland with us. Yes. We're going to Boston as Convent. Come to Poland with us. This June. We're going. Little sisters just like her from the same Convent, passing on the same messages. We are going. Theresa and I are going. This June

11th through the 19th. Fantastic time to go. So come with us. All you have to do is go to our website

schooloffaith.com. Click on pilgrimages and jump into this pilgrimage to Poland. People, people, I've had a lot of people say to me, are you going to do it again in 2027 or 28? Honestly, I don't know. I can't predict what's happening in the world. That's true. I mean, with with the craziness in the world, I can't guarantee we're going in 27. Yeah, what can anyone guarantee about 2027? But I'm telling you now we're going in 26. So jump in with us. Let's be apostles of friendship,

good conversation, and the rosary. Share this with others.
