Welcome to our daily rosary meditation.
for our prayer and conversation. Let's begin in the name of the Father in the Son in the Holy Spirit. Amen. Let's call to mind all those. We've promised to pray for
“I believe in God the Father Almighty creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ is only Son our Lord. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary”
He suffered under Pontius Pilate
which crucified died and was buried. He descended into hell. On the third day, he rose again
He ascended into heaven and he seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead I believe in the Holy Spirit the Holy Catholic Church the communion of saints the forgiveness of sins There as a reflection of the body and a life everlasting Our Father, who art in heaven, hollow would be your name that kingdom come. I will be done on earth as it is in heaven Give us a day or daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation

to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the inning as now and ever shall be world with that end amen. Our first mystery
Today is the feast of Saint James the Great, the brother of John, and one of the three apostles who were the closest friends of Jesus Matthew and his gospel relates At one point, the mother of James and John came with their sons to make a request of Jesus and he said to her, "What is it you want?" She said, "Promise that these two sons of mine may sit, one at your right hand and the other at your left in your kingdom.
“You do not know what you are asking Jesus replied. Can you drink the cup that I am going to drink?”
We can," they replied. "Very well," he said. "You shall drink my cup.
But as for the seats at my right of my left, these are not mine to grant. They belong to those to whom they have been allotted by my Father. And when the other ten heard this, they were indignant with the two brothers. Now you may be tempted to think that James and John had given into vain ambition, especially since the other apostles were upset about this. But Saint John Henry Newman gives us a very different perspective. He says, "This was not vain
ambition. It was courage. Courage is the willingness to risk and even sacrifice what is lesser to gain what is greater. Courage requires that we risk or venture something in order to gain the prize. Can you drink the cup?" Jesus said, "Are you willing to risk and lose what you hold most dear, even your very life to gain the kingdom?" And they answered, "Yes, this is not vain ambition. This is courage. They said in essence, we see the goal, heaven,
transforming union with Christ and we are willing to risk it all to gain it. Can we say the same? Our Father who art in heaven, hollowed be your name, that kingdom come by will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us a stay or do the bread and for it as our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and let us not into temptation. But deliver us from evil amen. Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with the

“and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, as now and ever shall be world without end,”
amen. Oh, my Jesus, forgive us, our sins, safest in the fires of how late all souls to have and especially those who most in need of thy mercy. Our second mystery, James and John were asking to reign with Christ, and he and answer told them not that they were guaranteed of it,
but that they must strive after it. Saint Jerome has an amazing commentary on this passage.
He writes, Jesus did not say, you shall not sit there, that he might not discourage the two brothers, neither did he say, you definitely will sit there, that he might not stir the others to anger, but by holding up the prize before all, he might encourage all to strive after it. Just like a king presiding over a contest instituted by him, if his relatives and friends should come and say, give us the prize, he says to them, it's not mine to give, but to those who strive
in the contest and gain the victory. So here's a great lesson for us that our love for Christ should cause us to take risks and to do something great for the love of God and to save others without absolute certainty of success. Or Father who art in heaven, hollowed be your name, that kingdom come, that will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us a dear daily bread and free of us, our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil amen. Hey, I'm Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee, blessed, our Thou among women blessed is a fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us in earth, now in the hour of our death, amen. Hey, I'm Mary, full of grace. Oh, my Jesus. Forgive us, our sins. Save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls to have an especially
those most in need of thy mercy. Our third mystery. After pentacost, James went to the end
of the known world for Jesus. And by January 2nd in the year 40, he had reached Xeragosa Spain, where he was preaching the gospel, but with very little success. And feeling discouraged, he sat down on the bank of the Ebro River, dejected. And at that moment, Mary appeared to James, standing on a pillar of marble, and she said to him, "James, the faith you establish here will be more firm and last longer than the pillar I stand upon."
And he arose from his discouragement. And he went forward, and he preached the gospel, and he won many
converts to Christ, establishing the Catholic Church in Spain in this early time.
“And to remember the appearance and the promise of the virgin, the first Mary in shrine was built”
around the pillar on which she'd stood. And this by location of Mary, for she had not yet been assumed into heaven, came to be known as our Lady of the Pillar. If you feel overwhelmed or defeated or dejected, entrust yourself to our Lady, under the title, our Lady of the Pillar, and she was strengthened you to be as strong and unshakable as that pillar, which stands to this very day. Or Father who art in heaven, hell it would be your name,
that kingdom come, that will be done in earth as it is in heaven. Yes, it's day or day, God and free of us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil amen. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee blessed, at our Thalmung women blessed, He's a fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners,

Hail Mary, be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. As it was the beginning as
now, never shall be world without end amen. Oh, my Jesus, forgive us, our sins, save us in the fires of
hell, lead all souls to have an especially those most in need of thy mercy. Our fourth mystery, Jesus asked James, can you drink the cup that I drink and he responded, I can, and about two years after our lady appeared to him in Spain, he returned to Jerusalem, or King Herod had him arrested and beheaded, killed by the sword. He did it. He drank the cup of modernism. He gave his life generously for Christ.
“Think of all that Christ has done for us. Shouldn't we try to give as much as we can in return?”
Marriage is the mission to build the kingdom of God by having in raising children for heaven.
Have we been as heroically generous in having children as we could or are we holding back out of fear? Are we as generous as we could be with our money or is our priority just to make sure we don't outlive what we have? Don't we trust that if we're generous with God, he'll take care of us? And are we as generous as we could be with our time, spending time with Jesus in prayer, or do we waste it in useless and even harmful distractions? And are we generous in living
friendship with the people in our lives and inviting them when the time is right to encounter
“Jesus through Mary in the rosary? If the Lord asked us, can you drink the cup that I drink?”
Would we immediately respond? We can. Our Father Wharton Heaven, hollowed be your name, thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is and heaven. Give us the stay or do thee bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil amen. Hail Mary full of grace. Oh, my Jesus, forgive us, our sins, save us in the fires of hell. Lead our souls to heaven, especially those most in need of thy mercy. Our fifth mystery. So, I side with St. John Henry Newman, that when the mother and James and John ask Jesus to sit at his right in his left, I don't think it was vain ambition.
“I think it was actually the virtue of magnanimity. They had a great and noble desire”
and we should have the same. Theresa of Avalor rights have great confidence for it is necessary not to hold back one's desires, but to believe in God, that if we try, we shall little by little, even though it may not be soon, reach the state the saints did
with his help, for if they had never determined to desire and seek this state,
little by little in practice, they would never have mounted so high. His majesty once this determination and he is a friend of courageous souls, if they walk in humility and without trusting in self, I marvel at how important it is to be courageous in striving for great things along this path. I love this attitude of Theresa of Avalor. That's the attitude of magnanimity.
“That's the virtue we have to practice. Our father who art in heaven,”
howl it would be your name. By kingdom come, that will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us the state our daily bread and for your rest our trespasses as we forgive those who
trespass against us and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil amen.

World without end, do men.
We do all souls to have an especially those most in need of thy mercy.
Same Michael, the Archangel, Defend us in battle, be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God review him, we humbly pray and do thou old Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God cast into hell, Satan, in all the evil spirits, brought throughout the world, seeking the room souls. In the name of the Father and the Son of the Holy Spirit, amen. Well, we are blessed to have Nicholas Hinkle, part of the School of Faith, team,
join us for this rosary in our conversation today. And he's a very important part of the team, because we are in the midst of the spiritual war, and we have our air campaign, which is this daily rosary podcast, but we can only reach more souls if we have ground troops.
“And that's what you are so intimately involved with Nicholas, helping us to build this spiritual”
army, these ground troops around the world. So thanks for praying with us today, and what's your experience been as you are working with our members individually? Not, man. Every day our wake up is a gift. That's for sure. I mean, you know, for you fantastic people listening and praying with us, it's so wonderful to be able to speak to you, and I know, you know, there are so many people listening,
and I'm only one guy. I mean, we have a small team, we work hard, but we can't reach everyone, but that it's so wonderful to be able to like have contact after contact, phone call, after phone call, visit, after visit, where people express their gratitude and share with me how just consistent prayer, our lady, the Holy Spirit, are really making a difference in our life. And to hear, I mean, this whole meditation was all about courage and magnetility, doing something
big for God. Of the people who are saying, "Yeah, you know, I'm not really comfortable with it, but I've started a rosary group or, you know, I've done something in my parish. I've, you know, I'm doing something more as, you know, a direct gift, something that they kind of have been meditating on and the rosary, and they've felt like our lady in the Holy Spirit have led them to. So
to hear the story and it's always inspiring to hear and I'm so happy to be able to listen and help
however I can. You know, I was, I've been reading, we just came back from Poland and I've been reading this detailed history of Poland because I've been trying to figure out, why did, why was Poland such a Catholic country? And I can tell you, it wasn't their political or civil leaders, and the people were pretty uneducated, I'm convinced it was the Franciscans, the Dominicans, and the Jesuits, but now look at our country. We, in the large part, the role of the religious
orders have been greatly diminished in public life, and people don't see them, they don't have an influence. So who's going to do that now? It's got to be right now, at least, it's got to be
“the lady, but who will help them do that? And I really think that's part of our mission is”
to help our lady to become those ground troops, and that's exactly what you're doing, Nicholas. That's the tip of the spear helping them to take up that role because the greatest concern of all of us is that we might get to heaven and find out some of our loved ones aren't there. We've got a chance now to help them. Our mission is to help you, help your loved ones to have them. So Nicholas, what are we going to do? Well, I have all the answers. No, I do think that
in a large part, the lady have been doing a fantastic job of answering the call that I see when you look at the church. We are seeing signs of hope, signs of growth, signs of young people returning, and I think that's in a large part due to people who are answering the call, who are coming both, you know, people like Father Mike Schmitz, you know, Bishop Robert Barron, but also like Dr. Mike Scherslick, and Theresa Scherslick, who are disordinary people who said,
“you know what? I think we can do something and do something consistently, and you all have”
made such a sacrifice to make this podcast accessible, and to be able to answer that call. So I think first of all, there are definitely signs of hope we don't have to say, well, you know,
we're going downhill fast, but I think, you know, the answer is just to continue to draw close
to our lady like St. James did, you know, when he reached the end of his rope and he was up there
At the edge of the world or the known world that he knew, and realize that th...
well, she came to him, and so I think if we stay close to her, she has the plan, you know, she
“has the plan for us. So she's the general, that's right. She's the one bringing us sort of the plan.”
Our job is to listen, to do a better job listening and to not act, and I'm speaking to myself here,
to not think, oh, well, I've got it all figured out. Therefore, let me just go go go, and let me not
cultivate a attitude of silence and of prayer and a disposition of listening. No, no, I've already
“got everything figured out. Let me know that that's not how it's going to be saw. It needs to be,”
we need to really in our own lives. Yeah, cultivate that sense that we need to be close to our
lady, close to our Lord and be listening to them firstly. And then exactly what you said in this meditation to then boldly say, well, you know what, I've got this thing and it's half baked and I don't know if it's going to work, but our Lord, our lady, you're not exactly given me a clear sign here, but you know what, I'm going to trust that in the process, you'll help me if I need help and that I'm not going to have to, you know, read a sign in my alphabet soup to know your will. I'm going
to trust that you'll make your will plain if it needs to be. Yeah, so I'm going to go forward boldly. Now, having spent the time with you. We should be like the brothers and just be presumptuous. They've called someone, so it might as well be me. Exactly. But we can't do this. It's very
“hard to do this alone. That's right. And that's why we're our mission is to help everyone”
praying with us and you specifically, Nicholas, are contacting the members of our movement. You're working directly with them. And so keep going. This is what this is what the world needs. Someone has got to be willing to help others and that's what you're doing. Now, well, praise God. Well, thanks for the conversation. Thanks for praying with us. And let's be apostles of friendship, good conversation, and the rosary. Share this with others.
