He suffered under Pontius Pilate. It was crucified died and was buried. He descended into hell on the third day. He rose again
He ascended into heaven and he seeded at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead

Today the church honors Saint Maria Gretty she was born in 1890 when she was just nine her father died of Malaria leaving her mother Assunta to care for the family and work in the fields on July 5, 1902 11-year-old Maria was sitting outside her home sewing and Watching her little sister while her mother worked nearby
“20-year-old Alessandro Saranelli knew she was alone and so he approached the house and tried to force himself upon her”
Maria resisted with everything she had and she cried out. No, it is a sin. God does not want it
Alessandro threatened to kill her if she did not give in yet she refused
Then he stabbed her 14 times and fled. Maria was taken to the hospital But her wounds were too severe. The next day before she died she forgave Alessandro and said She wanted him to be with her in heaven Maria was not yet 12 years old. She had no physical power to stop the knife But she had a greater power the power to say no to evil even at the cost of her life
Saint Paul writes, "You were bought with a price so glorify God in your body Our father worked in heaven. Howl it would be your name. That kingdom come by will be down on earth as it is in heaven. Give us a stay our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses As we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil Amen. “Oh, my Jesus. For you have us our sins, save us from the fires of hell.”
Lead all souls to have an especially those most in need of thy mercy.
Our second mystery. Alessandro was arrested and sent to prison where he was so
violent he was placed in solitary confinement. For years he remained bitter and unrepentant. But then six years into his sentence, everything changed. One night, Maria appeared to him. She was standing in a beautiful garden. She picked 14 white lilies, one for each stab wound. He had inflicted upon her and placed them into his hands. And that act of mercy shattered his hardened heart. He woke up overwhelmed with sorrow, asked for a priest and made a
full confession. And from that moment forward, he became a changed man. The violent prisoner
“became humble, gentle and totally transformed. When Alessandro was released from prison,”
his first stop was the home of Maria's mother, Asunta. He fell to his knees and begged her
forgiveness and she did the unthinkable. She forgave him, lifted him up, called him son, and took him to mass. The mother of the murdered child and the man who killed her received holy communion side by side. Alessandro then entered a Franciscan monastery where he spent the rest of his life in prayer, penance, and quiet labor. Maria gritty was canonized on June 24, 1950 by Pope Pius XII. Among the 500,000 pilgrims, most of them young people stood her mother,
four of her siblings, and Alessandro, the man who murdered her. Addressing the crowd, the Pope asked, "Young people, delight of the eyes of Jesus, are you determined to resist any attack on your chastity with the help of God's grace and a thunderous yes, rang out in reply. Our father, who art in heaven, hollowed with be your name,

“save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls to have an especially those most in need of thy mercy.”
Our third mystery, Saint Maria Gready, has a message for women. God is given women a tremendous moral power. Women have the power of yes, and know, and those two words shape history. A woman longs to be understood, cherished and loved. A man in turn, longs to win the heart of a woman worthy of his best. He may be tempted to use her beauty, but he is inspired by a woman who knows her dignity and calls forth the best in him.
When a woman says, I will not be used. I will not be reduced to an object.
She does not lose power. She exercises it. The world tells women that their power is in a rousing desire. Maria tells them their deeper power is in a awakening virtue. Fear says, if you say no, you will be alone forever. Maria tells a different story. She upheld her chastity at the cost of her life. Are you willing to preserve your chastity, even at the risk of loneliness? It is a risk we're taking, but rest assured, you won't be alone.
If God intends for you to marry, he will provide the right man, trust him. The fear of being alone is a temptation from the devil. Trust that if you honor God and follow his will, he will take care of your vocation. Our Father who art in heaven, hollowed be your name, thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us a stay our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses. As we forgive those who
“trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, deliver us for me, will I, man?”
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed our Thou among women, blessed it is a fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us, sinners, now and at the hour of our death, amen. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed our Thou among women, blessed it is a fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us, sinners, now and at the hour of our death, amen. Hail Mary, full of grace,
the Lord is with thee, blessed our Thou among women, blessed it is a fruit of thy womb Jesus. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed our Thou among women, blessed it is a fruit of
thy womb Jesus. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed our Thou among women, blessed it is a fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us, sinners, now and at the hour of our death, amen.
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed our Thou among women, blessed it is a fruit of
Thy womb Jesus.
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed our Thou among women, blessed it is a fruit of
“thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us, sinners, now and at the hour of our death, amen.”
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed our Thou among women, blessed it is a fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us, sinners, now and at the hour of our death, amen. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, as now and ever shall be, world without and amen. Oh, my Jesus, forgive us, our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to have
an especially those most in need of thy mercy. Or fourth mystery, Alessandro has a message for men.
He later admitted that impure images lead him down the road to ruin. Simple, sexual images train a man to look, take, use and discard. It teaches him to separate the body from the person and it turns desire into appetite and appetite into slavery. Jesus does not treat lust lightly. He says, "Everyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart,
then he immediately adds, if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out." That means we must be
serious. Sin is often tied to environment. If we remain in the near occasion of sin, we will fall.
But if we remove the occasion, the intensity of temptation often drops. So ask, honestly, what must I remove? A device, a streaming service, a private habit, do not negotiate with what is destroying you. And Jesus didn't say, "Ween yourself from it."
“He said, "Cut it off." Change the environment. Do whatever you need to do to remove the screen or the”
situation and go to confession frequently. Men, your strength was made to provide and protect not to pray. Marie is no. Calls forth your great yes to heroic purity. Our father worked in heaven, hollowed be your name, thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us a stir dear dear bread and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil amen. They are married full of grace, the Lord is with the blessed art thou among women, blessed is a fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God,
“pray for us in earth, now in the hour of our death amen. They are married full of grace, the Lord is”
with the blessed art thou among women, blessed is a fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us in earth, now in the hour of our death amen. They are married full of grace, the Lord is with the blessed art thou among women, blessed is a fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us in earth, now in the hour of our death amen. They are married full of grace, the Lord is with the blessed art thou among women, blessed is a fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us in earth, and soon in the hour of our death amen. They are married full of grace, the Lord is with the blessed art thou among women, blessed is a fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us in earth, and soon in the hour of our death amen.
They are married full of grace, the Lord is with the blessed art thou among women, blessed is a fruit of thy womb, Jesus. They are married full of grace, the Lord is with the blessed art thou among women, blessed is a fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us in earth, and soon in the hour of our death amen. They are married full of grace, the Lord is with the blessed art thou among women, blessed is a fruit of
thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us in earth, and soon in the hour of our death amen. They are married full of grace, the Lord is with the blessed art thou among women, blessed is a fruit of
Thy womb, Jesus.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
“As it was in the beginning, as soon in our shall be, world without end amen.”
All my Jesus, for give us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to have an especially those most in need of the mercy. Our fifth mystery, this is an age of lost impure images, resentment and bitterness, lost often grips men, and resentment often grips women, and both can enslave anyone. Resentment is the habit of replaying a wound, until it becomes a part of our identity. Someone failed us, someone used us,
someone abandoned us, someone didn't protect us, and instead of bringing the wound to Jesus,
we hold on to it, and we become hard. We say, "I will never be vulnerable again,
I will never depend on anyone again, and I will become strong enough that no one can hurt me." But that's not freedom, that's a prison. Maria had every human reason to become resentful. Her father was gone, no one protected her, while a Sandra violated her dignity and took her life. Yet she forgave. Her mother had every reason to hate the man who killed her daughter, yet she too forgave, and welcomed him as her son. They did not deny the evil, they broke its power
“with forgiveness and mercy. If you struggle, how should you begin?”
What is the way out? Look at Christ on the cross. There is the man who will never use you,
Betray you or abandon you, he is the bridegroom who gives his life for you. Speak the words of Jesus when he said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do, speak that forgiveness aloud, even if your emotions lag behind." Saint Maria gritty, pray for us. Teach us to remove whatever occasions lead to sinful lust and help us to forgive and to be transformed. Our Father who art in heaven,
hollowed beer name, thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Yes, stay her daily bread and for your best or trust passes, as we forgive those who trust
“fast against us and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil Amen.”

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us in our ensnown at the hour of our death...
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning as now in the Versailles be, world without end, amen. All my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to have and especially those most in need of thy mercy. St. Michael, the Archangel, defying us in battle, in our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God review him, we humbly pray, and do that old prince of the
heavenly host by the power of God cast into hell, Satan, and all the evil spirits, the prowls throughout the world seeking the human souls. In the name of the Father and the Son, in the Holy Spirit. Amen. What caught your attention with this meditation, Teresa? I think I've probably said it before about Maria Gready, but she leaves us with no excuses. When it comes to our resentment, because I think the point is not that there aren't
reasons for resentment, there will always be very justified if that's not exactly the right
word for it. True. Reasons that we hate people, that we hold their hurt against them, but the fact that she, it was her life being taken from her, but in the midst of it, not after, not after the wounds had grown over and she was fine and things turned out okay that she
“then could turn around and say, I forgive you, but in the midst while her life is being taken from her,”
not quickly either, not one brief moment of martyrdom, but that, you said it was about what 24 hours. And it is truly, because it's a rather extreme circumstance, we can look at that as the greatest example of Christian love because it is such an extreme case. But when I look at my own life, I look at all of the ways that we do reason through resentment and we, I can't imagine what her mother did, but not only what Maria did, but what her mother did in being able to not just
say, I forgive you, but to actually go through the steps. And so I was thinking about what the steps of forgiveness actually look like, because obviously we talk about this, this concept of
“your emotions will lag behind. Yeah. But you have to make the act of the will. It's an act.”
It's an act. It's a choice. Not feeling. That's not just to say once in your head, I forgive them, and then to go on being petty and saying terrible things about them and bringing it up all the time and telling others and gossiping about them. It's not to throw them a dagger every chance you get.
The act is to even when your feelings lag behind. The action is to say, I forgive them always.
It's to speak of them kindly, to be able to look at them without disdain. All of these things, it's like the self-control and the action, because too often I'll say, no, no, like, oh, like, obviously all this is in the past and I forgive them, but I don't forgive them with my words and my actions.
“So I think I wanted to make the distinction, especially for myself that there's the emotion,”
there's the act of the will and then there's putting that act of the will into action. Yeah. Because to be clear, your emotions can still lag behind and you can still feel all of that hurt every time you see them or think of them, but your actions still can't be gossip and slander. And you can't say, oh, I mean, I do this all the time. I'm like, I mean, the best for this person. And then whenever I get the chance, I'll say something petty and something mean and unkind.
And it's like, that's the time that I have to be the most gracious. When her wounds were the most painful and everything was taken from her, that's when she forgave. Yeah. We kind of wait until like usually write fresh off of like an incident or something that is painful. It's like, oh, I'll kick and scream for the next week and then I'll be forgiving. Yeah. She, I like what you said. We, we tend to throw the dagger, but she handed him a lily.
Yeah. And the hand that and we can hand the person a lily by forgiving them.
Even if we just start by telling God, I forgive them.
And when you can't forgive, do what Jesus did, ask the Father to forgive them. Yeah. It's why
“the best thing is starting even by giving that lily to God and saying, every day when that”
resentment comes up and you and you're praying or things like that, I'm going to pray for them seriously. I'm not going to pray that they get what they deserve. I'm just going to pray that they're
happy that they're healed from this, that they're healed from whatever that thing that habit is,
that hurt me or whatever it might be. Yeah. And also remember this, the bad feeling toward the person will only be changed by good action toward the person. And they will only by be changed by good action towards them. People are rarely, we tend to hold on to our vices even more desperately when people kind of attack us for them, because then we start getting defensive, but there is a real hope for people when they're met with mercy and love, despite what they've done,
because they know they're reminded in that moment that they can grow. The fact that they were able to look at, it was a name of all the Sandra, all the Sandra. It was to look at him and still see
“him as a human and still see hope for him. That's the only way to show him that there is hope.”
That's right. Because we have a tendency to try and look at people that we resent and be like,
you're, you're done for. There's nothing you can do. Yeah. You can never make this better.
And we want them to fall on the sword. Yeah. I love this image. These two images. We can throw the dagger or we can hand the lily. I think even there is a bad country song where it says, I'll pray for you. I'll pray for you to get hit by a truck. I'll pray for you. Wow.
“You know, I don't know any bad country songs, luckily. I think there's a country song that goes”
that way. I pray for you. Get hit by a truck to fall off a cliff to get struck by lightning. We'll don't do that. If you take away anything from this meditation, don't do that. Yep. We have no excuse. What a great young saint. Thanks for the conversation. Thank you. Let's be apostles of friendship. Good conversation and the rosary. Share this with others.
