Welcome to our Daily Rules of Remeditation.

So let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son in the Holy Spirit. Amen. Let's call to mind all those we've promised to pray for.

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Creator of Heaven and Earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate.

It was crucified died and was buried. He descended into hell. On the third day he rose again.

He ascended into heaven and he seeded at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and life everlasting. Amen. Our Father, who art and heaven, hollowed be your name.

I kingdom come, I will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us a stare, dearly bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation, deliver us for me, will I, man? Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed, our Thou among women, blessed

is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us in our ensnown at the hour of our death, amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed, our Thou among women, blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us in our ensnown at the hour of our death, amen. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed, our Thou among women, blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us in our ensnown at the hour of our death, amen. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning as noun or shall be, world without end, amen.

Our first mystery, John tells us, standing by the cross of Jesus, where his mother and

his mother's sister married the wife of Clopus and married Magdalene. When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple whom he loved standing near, he said to his mother, "Women, behold your Son." Then to the disciple, behold your mother, and from that moment, the disciple made a place for her in his home.

Now some people think Jesus was simply making practical arrangements for Mary. They think Jesus was an only child, Joseph is dead, so he needed someone to take care of his mother, but that explanation is too small. Mary was not alone at the cross, there were other standing there, including Mary the wife of Clopus, and tradition often connects Clopus with Joseph's family.

And in that culture, if Jesus were merely arranging family support, he would not normally entrust his mother to someone outside the family while relatives were right there, so something much greater is happening. Jesus is not merely entrusting Mary to John, he is entrusting John to Mary. And in John, Jesus is entrusting all his disciples to Mary, not just Catholics, but every

person he came to save. That means Mary is our spiritual mother, mother of the church, because Jesus said so. Behold your mother. Our father, who art in heaven, hollowed be your name, that kingdom come by will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us a dear daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass

against us, and lead us not into temptation to deliver us for me, will they, man?

the hour of our death, amen. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.

As it was in the beginning, as now in the first shall be, world without end, amen.

Oh, my Jesus.

Forgive us, our sins, save us from the fires of hell.

Lead all souls to have an especially those most in need of thy mercy. Our second mystery. Notice that Jesus speaks to Mary first. He does not say, "Hey, John, I need you to take care of my mother." Instead, he says to Mary, "Woman, behold your son."

That means Mary is the one receiving a new mission. And why does Jesus call her woman? Because she is the woman of Genesis 3.15, the woman who accrushed the head of the ancient serpent, because she is the woman of Cana, who prompted the beginning of the public ministry of Jesus, and because she is the woman of revelation, clothed with the Son, and crowned with

the stars, whose children are those who keep God's commandments and bear witness to Jesus. Mary cooperated with Jesus in the mission of saving the world. And now from the cross, her cooperation takes the form of a spiritual motherhood, mother of the church, mother of all people.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be your name.

That kingdom come, that will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us a stay, our dear, the bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, amen. They are married full of grace, the Lord is with thee blessed, our thumb, and women blessed, it is a fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

As it was in the beginning, as now never shall be, world without end, amen.

All my Jesus, for give us our sins, save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls to have an especially those most in need of that mercy. Our third mystery, but how can Mary be the mother of the church?

Is that just an honorary title with no real substance behind it?

No.

Mary is truly Mother of the Church, because the church is the body of Christ.

Now the whole Christian life is to become another Christ, but how does that happen?

The Holy Spirit conceives the life of Christ, the Holy Spirit forms Christ in us, and the Holy Spirit directs the Christian life. In this way, the Holy Spirit acts as our Divine Mother. But the Holy Spirit has chosen to carry out this maternal mission of conceiving and forming and directing Christ through Mary.

That's the pattern from the beginning. At the enunciation and Bethlehem, the Holy Spirit and Mary conceived and gave birth to Christ the head, at Calvary and Pentacost, the Holy Spirit and Mary conceived and gave birth to the body of Christ, the church.

So the Holy Spirit acts first as Mother of the Church, and by the power of the Spirit

working through her, Mary becomes Mother of the Church. That means Mary is really our Mother.

What symbolically, not sentimentally but really, and Jesus gave her to you from the cross.

And when Mary comes into your life, then the Holy Spirit forms Jesus in you. Our Father who art in heaven, howl it would be your name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. If us stare daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, amen.

For give us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to have an especially those most in need of thy mercy.

Our fourth mystery, now what does any good Mother do when her children are in grave danger?

Well, she flies to help them, and that is why Mary keeps coming in all her apparitions like the miraculous metal and orards in Fatima and Kabeho and San Nicolas and Magigoria. Why does she come? Because her children are in grave danger, and her message is simple and urgent. God is real, sin will destroy you, return to God through prayer and conversion.

This is why our lady asks us to pray the rosary every day, because prayer is the

Path of conversion.

And to do this, the rosary must be a real meditation where we actually listen to the

word of God, and we ask ourselves, am I living this or not?

And then we make one concrete resolution, that's the only way we'll change.

But our lady also calls us to confession, at least once a month, because regular confession calls us to examine our conscience, to see what needs to change, and to receive the mercy and grace to actually begin again. Our Father, who art in heaven, hollowed be your name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Yes, stay our daily bread and give us our trespasses, as we give those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, amen.

As it was in the meeting as now, never shall be, world without end, amen.

Oh, my Jesus. For you have a source in, save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls to have an especially those most in need of the mercy. Our fifth mystery, Mary is not calling us to private devotion alone. It's kind of funny, private devotion alone.

But she is calling us to mission, we are in a spiritual war for the souls of the people we love, especially those who do not yet know the love of God. Now, this rosary podcast is fine for air support, but no war is won by air support alone. Our lady needs ground troops, and that means you. And the method is friendship, authentic friendship.

Friendship is the bridge by which we cross over to others and help them cross over to God.

So ask yourself, am I intentionally spending time with the people God has placed in my life?

My spouse, children, parents, in laws, co-workers. Would they say I really know them, understand them, love them, and care for them? So what's our resolution? Choose one person God has placed in your life. Make one concrete plan this week to do something good with them.

To share a meal, take a walk, go to coffee, work on a project. And when you're with them, don't argue with them, don't preach, don't pressure, ask good questions, and listen, and try to understand them.

Then repeat, and when the time is right, invite them one step closer to God.

Choose one person, plan one good activity, have one real conversation, build the bridge of friendship,

and help Mary bring her children home.

Our father worked in heaven, hollowed beer name, that kingdom con thy will be done in Earth as it is in heaven.

Give us a stare, dearly bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And they just nod into temptation, but deliver us for me, will Amen. Mary full of grace, the Lord is with thee blessed, art thou among women blessed, is a fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us in our ensnow, in the hour of our death, Amen. As it was in the beginning, as now, never shall be, world without end, amen.

Oh, my Jesus. Forgive us, our sins, save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls to have an especially those most in need of the mercy. Say, Michael, the Arcane, Jill Defendos, and Bible, be our protection against the wickedness, and spare us the devil. May God review him, we humbly pray, and do that old prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell,

Satan in all the evil spirits who prowth throughout the world, seeking the room of souls. Amen, the name of the Father and the Son, Holy Spirit, amen. Well, Theresa, beginning tomorrow, Tuesday, May 26th, and then continuing through the end of June, we're going to answer the biggest questions, who is God, what are his divine attributes? How does he reveal himself? Why is there evil? What happened through original sin?

How does the Old Testament prepare for Jesus? What did Christ accomplish? How are we justified and made holy? And what awaits us after death? This isn't abstract theology, it's going to be a map of reality, it's going to be a path home.

So, what do you think about that? Looking forward to it, I could always use a path.

Good, are you going to join me for this? Like, we're really funny if I did it, and the next meditation you'll, at the very end, you'll ask, Theresa, what did you think about that? It'll just be crickets?

Good, so that's what I'm going to do. I think it's going to be

20, somewhere between 25 and 27 episodes. That's good, don't make specific promises, we might change. Yeah, because we might get into it and find out. We need more. We need more. But this is really, it's going to walk through the most essential doctrines of the Catholic faith. So, this is going to be a great one to have your kids listen to you with, your spouse, invite somebody, invite somebody to do this series with you, and then have some good conversation.

So, what were you reflecting on with Mary mother of the church?

Sometimes you start a metaphor, and then my brain just spirals down a rabbit hole on that metaphor

for way longer than you expected. Because you said you can't win a war with just air support.

Very good. And my media thought was, well, they kind of won the battle of Britain with just air support, but then my follow-up to that was, yes, the RAF did win the battle of Britain, but that's because I'm big and win the war itself, because the Germans couldn't really land. We've talked about this many times that they could metaphor. They, they couldn't really land, and therefore they couldn't put troops on the ground, which would have been the major difference

for them in World War II. So, it's not as if the RAF alone could have won the war. But it reminded me that things like this, the podcast, and having just content,

it's defensive, but it's not offensive. So, we might constantly be listening and constantly being like,

well, I just, I should be better at by now, and it's kind of keeping us at a plateau,

but we're never going to win the actual war until there are boots on the ground in enemy territory.

And that's a whole different ball game of having these conversations with friends, having these, being developed enough to actually set up camp somewhere else, actually get into enemy territory. It's a whole different, the difference between the battle of Britain, and then D-Day, it's a world of difference, and it does take all of these things that you're talking about, it takes the sacraments, and it takes daily meditation, it takes the resolution itself,

and it takes bring that into your community and bring with others, and I'm happy to just be in the Air Force, but our movement needs every branch of that military to actually get something

done, because it's not enough just to defend ourselves. Yeah, well said, because the bottom line,

you and I, we can't build friendship with the people in your life. And it's not even enough that it's good that you share it with those people and that they listen to it as well, but what they need more than our voices in their head is just conversation with you about it or about anything. Yeah, that's it. This is why Jesus, think about this. God didn't just send messages. God came and lived with us, and he built the bridge of friendship. Jesus came to his people

and built the bridge of friendship. That's what you have to do. No, we do the mission, the exact same

way, just eating dinner and talking with our friends. Exactly. Now, we realize that you might be listening to this right now, same, but I don't really know what to do. That's natural. And we're going to help you in two ways. We're going to continue to try to give you all the relevant applicable principles to live through the podcast, and we're also going to be giving specific training on how to really help your family and friends to God through friendship

over the course of this year. So I can understand totally if you feel maybe a little helpless, but we're going to help you to become an effective ground true. Mm-hmm. It's funny. War is not a good thing, but man is it a great metaphor. But it is a spiritual battle, but let's be clear. The enemy is not our loved ones. The enemy is Satan. Mm-hmm. If anything, it's more like looking at our loved ones like trying to liberate

friends. It's a mission of liberation. It's just a great metaphor through and through. Now, we have to form the ground troops. Well, thanks for the conversation. Thank you. And let's be apostles of friendship, good conversation, and the rosary. Share this with others.
