Welcome to our daily rules of re-meditation.
We are in the very ancient Franciscan Church in Cractow, where John Paul, when he was Archbishop
here, Cardinal, would come and pray it's right next to his residence, with a very special meditation from St. John Paul II today. So let's begin in the name of the Father in the Son in the Holy Spirit. Amen. Let's call to mind all those we promised to pray for.
“I believe in God the Father Almighty, creator of heaven in earth, and in Jesus Christ is only”
Son our Lord. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell.
On the third day, he rose again.
He ascended into heaven, and from there he will come again and go to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, if you do the same for goodness
“of sins, the resurrection of the body and life everlasting, amen.”
Our Father who art in heaven, hollowed with your name, by kingdom come, by will be done on earth as it is in heaven. He loves to stay on daily bread, and for the rest of our trespasses, as we pray for it those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Our first mystery, Saint John Paul II, gave us the plan for the next 1,000 years when he wrote
a letter to the world, novel, millennial, and jente. In this letter, the first thing that he told us was, we don't need a new program, because we're not saved by programs, we're saved by a person, the person of Jesus Christ. He wrote, the program already exists, it is the plan found in the gospel, and ultimately it has its center in Christ Himself, who is to be known and loved and imitated.
So that in Him, we may live the life of the Trinity and with Him, transform history. And then He reminded us that with the great Jubilee of the Year 2000, a river of living water, that water that continually flows from the throne of God and the Lamb in Revelation, that it's been poured out on the church and on you and I. So in ocean of grace and mercy has already been poured out, this ocean of grace lies
before us. And so John Paul says, we have to heed the words of Jesus to put out into the deep, dive into this ocean of grace, so to speak, and commit to holiness. John Paul writes, since baptism is a true entry into the holiness of God, it would be a contradiction to settle for a life of mediocrity.
It's marked by a minimalistic ethic and a superficial faith.

new evangelization would come about primarily by our business and our activity.
And he said, holiness and the salvation of others is first the work of God and our job
is to cooperate and the first way we cooperate is by becoming holy ourselves to foster the habits of holiness that we need to live by the power of the Holy Spirit through Mary, to be nourished and healed by Jesus in the Eucharist and reconciliation, to meditate on the Word of God every day with a resolution, to learn the fullness of our faith, and to remove all of the destructive forces of sin in our lives and to really build a well-ordered
and balanced life and good friendships.

Our third mystery John Paul says to carry out this plan we need a genuine training in holiness
distinguished above all in the art of prayer and that our perishes and our Christian community these must become genuine schools of prayer.
“How much more should our Catholic schools become genuine schools of prayer?”
However John Paul writes it would be wrong to think of that ordinary Christians can be content with a shallow prayer life especially in the face of the many trials to which today's world subjects are faith.
They would not only be mediocre Christians but Christians at risk it's essential therefore
that education in prayer should be the key point of all of our work. If there are people in your life who don't know how to pray and there are many who will teach them it has to be people they trust and who themselves know how to pray.
That has to be you so we have to be first and foremost people of deep prayer ...
trust in others and then we have to be willing to teach them how to pray.

Our fourth mystery in the spiritual war that we face, there are two types of casualties. People who are estranged from God and people who are estranged from one another isolated lonely, lonelyness I call it friendship deficit syndrome. So John Paul says that we need to make our church and our families a school of communion, a school of friendship and he has four beautiful points about friendship.
He says first of all we have to contemplate the Holy Trinity dwelling within us and the
more we do that will be able to see the Holy Trinity dwelling in others. They may not see it but we will be able to see it and then if we do that we will be able to see what is positive in others rather than what is negative and we'll be able to help that person see the good in themselves because most people don't think they're good. We have to see the goodness that God of God in us and then see that goodness in others
Help them see their own goodness.
And it also means we have to overcome our own selfishness, our pettingness and we have
“to be willing to bear the burdens of others.”
The things that are annoying and difficult and painful in others and ultimately we have
to be able to see the other person as part of me that we're one and whatever good I do for you is a good I'm doing for myself. So really what John Paul is saying we have to learn the art of friendship. Otherwise we won't be any used to anyone. Our father who art in heaven, hollowed be your name.

and in to the Holy Spirit, our fifth mystery, but most people have never really experienced
true friendship, and they don't know how to develop it. Friendship is this bond between two or more people who are united in pursuing something other than themselves, greater than themselves, and so really it's very simple, friendship is built through shared activity, it's when we do good things together, meals, a walk, a project together, reading a book together, hunting, fishing, service, all kinds of things,
but just doing things together is not enough. Maybe to talk with one another, why?
Because good conversation is an act of love.
It says to the other person, "I know you, I understand you, I love you and I care for you."
And when people experience that, then the walls begin to come down, their hearts begin to open, so friendship and good conversation are not just social skills, it's the most

of an apostle, so we need to be people who are committed to prayer, which is friendship
with Jesus, but we also have to be committed to friendship with others.
