Welcome to our daily Rosary Meditation.

in the Holy Spirit. Amen. Let's call the mind all those we've promised to pray for.

I believe in God the Father Almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ,

He's only Son, our Lord. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate. It was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended

into hell. On the third day He rose again. He ascended into heaven and He seated at the right

hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and life everlasting, amen. Our Father, who art in heaven, hollowed with be your name, by kingdom come. I will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us a stare, daily bread, and forgive us, or trespasses as we free of those who trespass against us,

and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil amen. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed, our Thalm, and women, blessed is a fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us and earns now in the hour of our death, amen. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed, our Thalm, and women, blessed is a fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us and earns now in the hour of our death, amen. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning,

as now in the verse shall be, world without end, amen. Our first mystery,

we're making our way through the sermon on the mount where Jesus teaches us how to live as a Christian.

And one essential part of that life is learning to remove sin and the habits that lead us into sin.

And today, Jesus shows us how, when he says, if you're right, I causes you to sin, pluck it out and throw it away. It's better for you to lose one of your members than that your whole body be thrown into hell. And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It's better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body going to hell. These are pretty startling words. So how do we put them into practice?

Our Father who art in heaven, hollowed be your name, that kingdom come by will be done

on earth as it is in heaven. Your vests stay our daily bread and for your vests are trespasses. As we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us for me, believe me. Your Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed our Thou among women,

blessed is a fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God,

the Holy Spirit. Our second mystery, Jesus says that if your hand causes you to sin, you should

cut it off. And if your eye causes you to sin, you should pluck it out. We all have to cut certain things out of our life. Certain things that aren't bad in themselves, but which for us are near occasions of sin. We have to cut those situations out and it could be really hard. It might even feel a bit like an amputation, but it's worth it. See, our habitual sins and vices are nearly

always connected to particular situations. And those situations act like triggers. They don't

force us to sin, but they awaken our temptations and make us far more likely to give in. For instance, think of cursing. Almost none of us would erupt into loud, uncontrolled legality in the middle of mass or during an important business meeting, but many of us struggle with it

when we're angry, frustrated, or driving. Mental health specialists have observed that many

addictions are strongly influenced by environment. Put someone in a certain environment and the temptation is often triggered. Remove that environment, that trigger and the temptation loses much

of its power. This is exactly what the church has always taught. Avoid the near occasion of sin.

Jesus has simply telling us to identify the triggers that repeatedly lead us to sin and then remove those triggers. The eye we need to pluck out and the hand we need to cut off is the situation that triggers our vices. Our father, who art in heaven, hollowed be your name. By kingdom come, thy will be done and earth as it is in heaven. Give us a dear, daily bread and forgive us, our trespasses. As we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation,

but deliver us from evil amen. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed,

our thal among women, blessed is a fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us and earn us now and at the hour of our death amen. hour of our death amen. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, as now and ever shall be, we're all with that end, amen. Oh, my Jesus. Forgive us, our sins, save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls to have

An especially those most in need of thy mercy.

vices and addictions, will power isn't primarily about resisting temptation when it happens.

By the time temptation hits, we're usually too far gone to resist.

Real will power means planning ahead. It means identifying the situations where we're tempted and removing them before temptation arrives. See, every vice has a trigger. Find the trigger before the temptation finds you. Name the vice, find the trigger, then remove the trigger. Our Father, who art in heaven, hollowed be your name, thy kingdom come, thy will be

done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us a stare, daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses.

As we free of those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil amen. The o' Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee,

Your Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou among women, blessed is a fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now in at the hour of our death, amen. Glory be to the Father, and to the

Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, as now in the Rishalbe, world without end, amen. Oh, my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls to have an especially those most in need of thy mercy. Our fourth mystery, so ask yourself, is lust triggered with isolation, boredom, late nights,

does anger appear when you're tired, hungry, stressed? Does gossip happen with certain friends?

Does pride surface when you're praised, corrected, or competing? Does envy grow when you're scrolling social media and comparing your life with others? Does anxiety feed on constant news? Does sloth thrive through endless entertainment or procrastination? Does gluttony begin with stress? Does greed grow by checking investments? Does impatience usually appear when you're rushed, or because you didn't give yourself enough time?

Jesus isn't simply telling us to resist temptation. He's telling us to remove the triggers that ignite our vices. Our Father, who art in heaven, hollowed be your name, thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us stay our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we free of those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil amen. end, amen. All my Jesus. Forgive us, our sins, save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls to heaven, especially those most in need of the mercy. Our fifth mystery, if we're serious about change, if we're serious about living as a Christian, then every meditation needs to end with a practical resolution. So what's our resolution for today? Name your vice, identify your habitual, deadly sin, and then find the trigger. What situation, environment, person, or time-a-day

most often leads you into that vice, and then remove the trigger. What one practical change can you make today, to avoid that near occasion of sin? Name the vice, find the trigger, and remove the trigger. Our Father, who art in heaven, hollow would be your name, thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us a stair, daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we free of those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation,

deliver us from evil amen. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed, our thal among women, blessed is a fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Hail Mary, be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, as now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen. Oh, my Jesus, forgive us, our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to have an especially those most in need of thy mercy. St. Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, will be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.

May God review him, we humbly pray, and do thou old prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell, Satan, and all the evil spirits, and the proud throughout the world, seeking the root of souls, in the name of the Father and the Son,

the Holy Spirit. Amen. Well, what caught your attention with this meditation, Teresa?

As per my usual, I was stuck down a rabbit hole of a metaphor, which is, I think, a good way to look at this is like diffusing a bomb. Yep. We tend to look at it like, spontaneous combustion, like it just happens, and there's nothing to be done, but if you've ever seen a well-made bomb diffusal scene in a movie, because there's also a lot of cliche ones. But if you've ever seen it well done, you'll realize that when the bomb squad is assessing these

bombs, it's, it's a matter of removing any part of the bomb that will make it stop working. It's not random. It's not just any wire. It's what gives it power. What's the trigger? It's assessing every single part of it, because it doesn't just go off, and every bomb is different. So this is just

a different way of analyzing what's the trigger, what power is it, why am I doing this? And it's

a different kind of examination of conscious to not feel like this is some powerless random thing. Yeah. But the cool part of every classic movie scene where it's some bomb squad, diffusing a bomb, other than it being high stress, is how calm the professionals are at stopping, assessing every aspect of it, tracing back every wire, understanding it before you try to take

it apart, because too often we're just blindly cutting wires, and we're always frustrated why

it still happens. Why it still goes off. But they're not magic. They're a hard science, and we can become professionals at diffusing bombs. Yeah, great analogy. And we just, but we, but it does require we gotta think through it. You gotta understand the bomb, because not every bomb is the same. Yeah. But we don't, we don't do the work to remove these things. Yeah, sometimes we live our life like we're just surrounded by land mines. Like, oh,

there's nothing I can do. I just blow up an anger all the time. So that's just part of me. So if you could just like live around my land mines, would that be okay, instead of actually trying to diffuse these things. Yeah. It's a terrible way to live. To think I have no control against the vices because they do happen, but there is a way to diffuse bombs. It's still difficult. It's still stressful, but there is a way to clear all of the land mines out of your yard. One by one.

And what we're talking about is how to reach happiness. Because these vices, these sins, they don't make us happy. So we're just, Jesus is just trying to get a serious about happiness. He's actually more obsessed with our happiness than we are. Yeah. Yeah. But we don't fix it by just

scurting around it. Or wishing it away. A wishing it would never happen. Yeah. So then today,

all of us, let's, let's get serious about identifying what those habitual vices and sins are, what leads to it, the pattern. There's always a pattern and remove those. But start with one thing today. Don't need to have to fix everything in your life today. Just identify one today and remove that trigger just for today. Just through today. Just to talk about with other people too. The first step in all those movies is they usually have someone over a calm system and they're

Just explain to me what you're looking at.

What kind of triggers it? What am I looking at? Just say what you're looking at. And sometimes

just discussing that with someone else that knows you well is the first step.

Thanks for the conversation. Thank you. Let's be apostles of friendship, good conversation,

and the rosary. Share this with others.
