Welcome to our daily rules and meditation.

sermon on the Mount where we're letting Jesus teach us to really live the Christian faith. Let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy

Spirit. Amen. Let's call Him mind all those we've promised to pray for. I believe

in God the Father Almighty Creator of Heaven and Earth. I believe in Jesus Christ is only Son our Lord. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate. It was crucified,

died and was buried. He descended into hell. On the third day he rose again. He

ascended into heaven and he seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and life everlasting. Amen. Or Father who art in heaven, hell I would be your name. I kingdom come by. We'll be done on earth as it is in

heaven. Give us a stare, dearly bread, and forgive us our trespasses. As we forgive

those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us

from evil amen. You know Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with the blessed

Arthal, among women, blessed is a fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother, God, pray for sinners, now in the hour of our death, amen. You know, Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with the blessed Arthal, among women, blessed is a fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother, God, pray for sinners, now in the hour of our death, amen. You know, Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with the blessed Arthal, among women, blessed

is a fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother, God, pray for sinners, now in the hour of our death, amen. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy

Spirit. As it was in the beginning, as now in the first shall be, world without

end, amen. Our first mystery, in the sermon on the Mount, immediately after warning us about sinful anger, Jesus shows us where it leads, sinful anger, resentment, unforgiveness, and cutting people off destroys friendship. It burns bridges, divides families, separates Christians, and leaves us isolated and alone. Left unchecked, anger hardens into hatred. It estranges us from one another and ultimately from God.

In the end, we build our own prison, lock ourselves inside and throw away the key.

But the kingdom of God is built on friendship, love, forgiveness, and reconciliation, while the kingdom of Satan is built on division. Now we can't control how another person will respond to our efforts of reconciliation, but we can control ourselves. All our responsibility is to do everything we reasonably can to forgive, and seek forgiveness, to restore friendships, and to live at peace with one another.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hollowed be your name, thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us a stare, daily bread, and for you us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil amen. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed, our Thal, among women, blessed is a fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God,

pray for us, sinners, now and at the hour of our death, amen. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed, our Thal, among women, blessed is a fruit of thy womb, Jesus. As it was the beginning and now and ever shall be, world without end, amen. Oh, my Jesus, forgive us, our sins, save us from the fires of hell,

lead all souls to have an especially those most in need of thy mercy. Our second mystery,

at mass, we are supposed to bring the gift of our life and offer it to God. That gift is signified by our heart. During mass, the priest even invites us saying, "Lift up your heart," and we say, "We lift them up to the Lord." In the sermon on the mount, while he is teaching about anger, Jesus says something astonishing. If you're bringing your gift to the altar and remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar. First,

go and be reconciled to your brother and then come and offer your gift.

Wow, think about that. If we take these words of Jesus seriously, he seems to say that if you come

to mass and remember, you are holding something against someone or they are holding something

against you, you need to go first and be reconciled and then come and offer your gift.

Jesus seems to place reconciling relationships before everything else. Why? Because it's a contradiction to come and offer yourself to God when we are angry at others. When we hold grudges, when we resent or hate them, as Scripture says, "We cannot love God whom we can't see if we hate those we can see." Our Father who art in heaven, hollowed be your name, that kingdom come by will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Your vests are daily bread and forgive us their trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil amen. Your Mary, full of grace the Lord is with the blessed art of among women blessed is a fruit of thy womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother God, pray for us in earth, now in the hour of our death amen.

Never shall be world without end amen.

Lead all souls to have an especially those most in need of thy mercy. Our third mystery. It's very

interesting when we consider reconciling relationships that right after we pray the our Father at

Mass, the priest says, "Peace I leave you. My peace I give you. Look not on our sins but on the faith of your church and graciously grant her peace and unity in accordance with your will."

Then he says, "The peace of the Lord be with you always." Then he invites, "That is, offer each other,

the sign of peace. The sign of peace comes immediately after the our Father in which we pray for give us our trust passes as we forgive those who trust pass against us and the sign of peace comes right before we receive Jesus in communion. So the sign of peace is not a polite handshake or it's not a timer we just throw a peace sign across the church. It's a command of love and

reconciliation because our communion with Christ is diminished or destroyed by our bad

feelings and actions toward others. The sign of peace at Mass is a good time to look your spouse

or a son or daughter in the eye and say, "I'm sorry, please forgive me." Or to say to them,

"No matter what, I love you unconditionally." At other times it points to a reconciliation still waiting beyond the church walls but either way the peace of Christ is both a gift and a mission. We receive it from Him and we are sent and expected to extend it to others. Our Father who art in heaven, hollowed be your name, like kingdom come by will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us a stare, daily bread and forgive us our trust passes as we forgive those who

trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace the Lord is with thee blessed our Thou among women blessed. Hail Mary, full of grace the Lord is with thee blessed our Thou among women blessed by our souls to have in especially those most in need of thy mercy. Our fourth mystery, take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit,

Have I written off?

Is there someone who needs to hear from me? I'm sorry. Most broken relationships are not healed

because no one is willing to take the first step. Pride says, I'll wait for them to go first.

Humility and love say, I'll go first. Be the first. That is what Christ did for us.

Our Father who art in heaven, hollowed be your name, thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us a stair daily bread and in free of us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil Amen. now in the hour of our death, amen. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit.

As it was in the beginning, it is now in the first shallot be, world with that and amen.

Oh, my Jesus. Forgive us, our sins, save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls to have an especially those most in need of thy mercy. Our fifth mystery. Don't leave this meditation without making the firm decision to take one concrete step, make the resolution to call, send a text email or write a letter, begin the conversation, ask for forgiveness, offer forgiveness, pray for the person who has hurt you. As Saint Paul says, do not let the Son go down on your

anger, but a longer anger remains, the deeper it's roots grow, the sooner we forgive, the

freer our hearts become. So today, ask the Holy Spirit for the courage to take the first step

toward reconciliation. That's how Christ loved us and that's how He commands us to love one another.

Our Father who art in heaven, hollowed be your name. My kingdom come, I will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us a stare, daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses. As we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil amen. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us and earns now in at the hour of our death, amen. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now in the number shall be, world without end, amen. Oh, my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls to heaven, especially

those most in need of thy mercy. Say, Michael, the Archangel, Defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God review, Kim, we humbly pray and do thou oh prints of the heavenly host by the power of God cast into hell, Satan in all the evil spirits who prods throughout the world, seeking the rune of souls in the name of the Father and the Son,

and the Holy Spirit. Amen. Well, what caught your attention? What surprised you with this?

Well, this is not something you mentioned in this meditation, but I was sinking back on a few times you've said that women specifically have a tendency to struggle with resentment, and usually I'm like, oh, but really I'm lying to myself. That's absolutely something I struggle with. Resendment runs so deep, and it's so easy to fall into, and I think this specifically is the perfect antidote to resentment, especially with a sign of peace, especially with where it's placed at mass, because I have been

saved countless times by the experience of first of all resentment is like you can't stop thinking about the thing that is upsetting you, and you're just retelling the story over and over and over again in your mind. As if you're trying to win an argument again or explain to someone else how that person wronged you and how you're totally in the right, and whenever that eaks into my mind, especially

in mass, and so often it's when I happen to see someone at mass, and they always somehow manage

to sit right in front of you, and so you can't help but think about it, just like you normally can't help think about resentment, but now God is like, if this crosses your mind we're going to face this now here together, and I love my peace be with you, because it's like I feel as if I can't on my own get past it, but trying with his strength, with his peace to confronted right then and there, and you've got a long mass to do it, so I'm thinking about it the

whole time, and it's like when you have an issue as a little kid and finally your parents like, all right sit down with me, we're going to walk through this together, and this will be the end of it, because when I have to confront it in mass, it's the only time I can finally put it away, because suddenly I have to pray for them, I have to pray for myself, I have to pray for the strength

to get past it, and then at the peak of that, now they turn around and you have to actually give

them the sign of the peace and you have to mean it, and you pray for the grace to really feel that, and let go, but he puts in an action, everything he asks about, and it's something that,

obviously that's not every mass, I hope I'm not always that resentful, but there are many

where it lines up that perfectly, that I have to check myself right there.

You said, you said two things that were very striking, first you use the phrase,

totally in the right, that we are 100% the victim, and alcoholics anonymous has some really

stunning wisdom, and alcoholics anonymous says that the big offender in life is resentment,

and in resentment, the what keeps us imprisoned in resentment, according to alcoholics anonymous, which I find is true, is that we refuse to acknowledge and accept that we played some part.

And that means the cycle is endless, because we'll never take any blame.

Exactly, you don't take blame, and there's nothing you could change, because you think all of everything was environmental, everything was outside of your hands.

Yeah. And so you tie your own hands behind your back, because you're like,

well, everyone else has to change, they're not gonna. Exactly, and this is why alcoholics anonymous

says that if you can step one, accept that you played some part, 10%, 20%, 30%, it doesn't matter,

you played some part, then forgive, and then I love what you said, then put it away, accept your part, forgive, and then put it away. It's kind of nice in that sense in mass, because you're not, you're not talking with the person, you're not communicating with them, but you can only take the step on your side. You forgive them in your house. It's also acknowledged them, and you commit to later, like afterwards, if you get the chance,

if you can talk to them, you have to commit to it. I mean, you're all gonna walk out to that

best best of you all together. But there's something that does shift the blame entirely onto you, and what can you do with your resentment when you're just, it's just you and in the pew, and the only person you can talk to about, that is God. But it's also a mass is also a safe place, because you can extend the hand, and it's unlikely that they're going to yell at you or punch you at that moment. It's a pretty safe environment, also, so it's awesome. I mean,

it's when you're going to be best received. The sign of peace in the liturgy

is goes all the way back to the earliest, earliest times, so it's always been there, and it was so

wise of the church to put it in. It's almost as if the church, Jesus, and the church knew we were all suffer with resentment and unforgiveness. It's definitely knew what I needed. But it's not just it, as I said in the meditation, it's a reminder and it's a mission. We have, we got to go, we need to go and live it outside the church walls. So let's do that today, accept responsibility for your part, forgive and take whatever steps you need for reconciliation. Thanks for the conversation. Thank you.
