Welcome to our daily rosary meditation.
One of the most powerful ways that ordinary people can transform the world and a very special conversation afterward
So let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit Amen, and let's call to mind all those we've promised to pray for
“I believe in God the Father Almighty creator of heaven and earth”
I believe in Jesus Christ is only Son our Lord. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary He suffered under Pontius Pilate. It was crucified died and was buried He descended into hell on the third day. He rose again He ascended into heaven and he seated at the right hand of the Father
He will come again to judge the living and the dead
I believe in the Holy Spirit Holy Catholic Church the communion of saints the forgiveness and the resurrection of the body and life everlasting amen or Father who art in heaven. Hallow would be your name. My kingdom come. I will be dumb on earth as it is
“Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us”
And lead us not into temptation Hail Mary full of grace the Lord is with the blessed our Thalma women blessed is a fruit of thy womb Jesus, Holy Mary mother of God pray for sinners now in the hour of our death Hail Mary full of grace the Lord is with the blessed our Thalma women blessed is a fruit of thy womb Jesus Holy Mary mother of God pray for sinners now in the hour of our death amen
Hail Mary full of grace the Lord is with the blessed our Thalma women blessed is a fruit of thy womb Jesus Holy Mary mother of God pray for sinners now in the hour of our death amen Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. As it was the beginning of the sound of our shall be
“Proved with that amen our first mystery when we look at the world today”
It can be easy to feel overwhelmed Now there are encouraging signs of renewal especially among some young people Yep, many people we know and love have drifted from God Families are divided many no longer practice their faith Young people are searching for meaning, friendship and purpose
But they don't know where to turn and we see confusion loneliness anxiety and a growing distance from God Sometimes we look at these problems and think what can one person possibly do
But God has always renewed the world in the same way again and again
He renews the world through ordinary people who say yes to him often is not through institutions or Politicians not through celebrities But ordinary men and women who love Jesus are Committed to prayer and they invest in others
Today we meet too such people Blessed Pauline Jericho and Ion Tearnowski neither was a priest neither was famous Yet God used them and their rosary groups to change the world Our Father and Warton heaven hollowed be your name that kingdom come by will be done on earth as it is in heaven Give us the stay our daily bread and give us our trespasses as we

priests were executed churches turned into temples of reason and many people drifted away from the faith Much like our culture today many of Pauline's family and friends had little interest in religion or prayer
“and they knew almost nothing about their faith”
In her early 20s she wrote in her diary the spiritual ills of my country were increasing before my very eyes And though she was not a priest or a nun and as I said only in her early 20s she desperately long for a way to set the hearts of her family and friends on fire for Jesus and then God inspired her He reminded her that whenever the church faced great crisis
Renewal always came through Mary and the rosary
So Pauline began gathering people together She invited them to pray the rosary she organized them into small groups and she gave them a method to learn their faith while they prayed the rosary
“She welcomed everyone, the fervent, the mediocre and those had little more than good will”
She said 15 pieces of coal one is well lit four or five are half lit and the rest are not lit at all But put the 15 together and you will have a blazing fire The results were astonishing after only five years Her movement called the living rosary spread throughout all of Europe
And within eight years there were more than one million members
No social media, no internet, just friendship, good conversation and the rosary Our father who art in heaven, hollowed be your name By kingdom come by will be done on earth as it is in heaven And the rest of us stay our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us And it is not into temptation but to deliver us from evil amen

For the third mystery, more than 100 years later, God would use the same method again
Lord called serious and chronic stomach problems, so he left accounting and joined the family tailoring business See, young was extremely introverted, so introverted that he really could only hide in the back room of the tailor shop and make suits He loved being hidden and alone, and it suited him, that's kind of a pawn isn't it? It suited him to work in the back room of the tailor shop, but then came the moment that changed his life In 1935, a priest gave a homily in which he said, "It is not difficult to be a saint."
Yon took this as the truth, and he committed himself to three things, to meditate on the Word of God every day with a concrete resolution, to receive Jesus frequently in the Eucharist and confession, and to study and learn his Catholic faith, and then he created a plan of life
“Because after all, if you want to reach your destination, you need a map, what Yon did not know was that God was preparing him for a mission that would change the world”
Or father who art in heaven, hell would be your name, that kingdom come by will be down on earth as it is in heaven Yon married full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed our thall among women, blessed is a fruit of thy womb Jesus Yon married full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed our thall among women, blessed is a fruit of thy womb Jesus Yon married full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed our thall among women, blessed is a fruit of thy womb Jesus Yon married full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed our thall among women, blessed is a fruit of thy womb Jesus

But before they were taken away, they entrusted the formation of young men in the parish
to Yantir andowski. Think about that. They entrusted this work to an introverted lay person. And what did Yantir?
He identified the leaders among the young men,
invited them to his apartment, where they prayed the rosary, and he taught them how to go deeper in their faith. And then he sent them out two by two
“to start their own rosary groups with other young adults.”
Among those young men was a university student named Carol Voitiva. Yantho's Carol to lead one of the rosary groups, and it was Yantho introduced him to Theresa of Avala, John of the Cross,
St. Louis de Montfort, and Yant personally formed
young Carol in prayer and the interior life, and then helped him discern his vocation to the priesthood. That young man became Pope St. John Paul II, who would bring the gospel to 129 countries and do more to renew the Catholic faith
than perhaps anyone since St. Paul. One introverted layman invested in one young person and the whole world was changed. Our father, who art in heaven, how it would be your name,
“that kingdom come by will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”

And there's a beautiful painting above the relics of Yantirinowski. You can actually find it in your show notes for after the transcript, and there you will see with one hand, Yantirinowski is inviting you to join him.
And in that same hand, is a rosary connected to the hand of the Yantirinowski. And Carol is inviting you into the light of God.
“And that image contains the secret used by Pauline,”
Jericho, and Yantirinowski. And it's very simple.
First, commit to praying the rosary every day.
Second, commit to build a deep friendship with a small group of family or friends. And third, invite them to pray the rosary with you, and have some good conversation after. Help one another, become saints.
This is how Pauline renewed France. This is how Yant formed Pope John Paul II. And this is how God renews the world. Because God renews the world through saints. But saints don't start out that way.
They are ordinary people like Pauline and Yantirin who commit themselves to friendship with Jesus and friendship with others. The world is renewed by saints and the rosary. How about you? It is not difficult to become a saint.
Our Father, who art in heaven,
how it would be your name. By kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
“You must stay our daily bread and bring us our trespasses.”

Well, we have today two special guests joining our conversation, our prayer and our conversation, Sean and Annie Riley, and you have had quite an experience with your rosary group over the
last couple of years, but I really love how at first you kind of resisted and then started your
rosary group, Annie, share with everyone first how it got started. So as per your request during our mentorship back in September of 24, we kind of mold over the idea for a few months and probably by November December, we talked about it and I just decided it was time to get it started. I was tired of thinking about it and I wanted to move forward.
So Sean and I talked. I said, you know, I'm just going to email a bunch of people that we know and see what we can get going and we set it up for the last Friday of every month with the concept of let's bring everybody in for conversation, food, get people to know each other and then we did the podcast rosary of school of face and then we would discuss it afterwards. And so January of
“2025 was our first group and we started with 31 people that night. Why?”
It was fantastic. Wow. Our house was full. I could imagine. We were searching for more chairs and tables. Yes. It's good to have more people than chairs. Yes, chairs don't pray half as well. It was awesome. So what's your format? As far as just the evening. For the whole evening. So we started six o'clock. Gathering. Gathering everybody in the house and now that we've done it for a while, everybody just kind of finds
their people to start talking to. It's fun to see the different people go off into different rooms around the house because we have a couple of big rooms plus a screened in porch. So we've got three different big areas where people can go. And by about 16, 16, 20 I just round everybody up and get them started and we gather in a circle in the kitchen and start praying.
“The meal prayer or the meal prayer. So is this, do you cook or is this potlock?”
It's potlock. That's great. I usually, Sean kind of got me started on this. At first I just thought,
you know, let's just do potlock. Let her remember what they want. And then we started a theme because people started asking what we were bringing. So I tried to think of something each month. I think we've done Mexican. We've done Italian. We've done your favorite international prayer this week. It's going to be pre-fourth of July. Oh, good. It's going to be a picnic. Excellent. So just something to bring people thinking what can I bring to share that I like
that someone else might like. Yeah, we'll cook the dogs and the burgers and people bringing the rest of it. Yeah. And then how do you transition to from the meal to the rosary? Usually, that's me. I usually watch everybody see how they're doing with their meal. And I look at the clock in about 725. I start gathering my thoughts, making sure my speakers are in place. And the funny thing is, typically, all it takes is flipping off a light switch in the kitchen
to get everybody painted. It's usually more effective than sound. Yes. That's so much noise anyway. So I flip off the light switch. Everybody looks at me as like it's time to pray, guys.
When the weather's nice, we have a really nice size screened-in deck that we'...
last year. And we put as many chairs out there as we can. And last month, we had 28 people out there on our deck. Wow. And so you just play the podcast? We play the podcast from whatever day it happens to be. Oh, you just kind of go pop-like with the podcast. Yeah, whatever it is for that. Whatever day it is. That can be a little dangerous. Yeah. Well, one time it actually came up that I thought we were repeating it. Oh. What happened was we had just had it in mentorship. Oh,
two days prior, so we repeated that, but not for everybody else. And then after the rosary, are you able to have some conversation? Yeah, one of us usually just say so did anybody. Did that anybody have something grab them there in the attic? Hmm. By getting anything out of that?
“Kind of like I asked Theresa just like that. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And then do you have to prompt”
anybody or do people just speak up? Almost always there's somebody that has something that came
to them all. They were, you know, primary rosary and they start the conversation. Wow. And then one personal feet off of another. Fantastic. And how long? How long do you allow? What's your the total time from the time they gather at six, six in, until your end? I try to end by around eight, 30, so we can respect everyone's eating in bed time and family. And if people are still there afterwards, then we allow those people to continue if they want.
That's great. Which it has the last probably three or four times. So conversations can get really interesting sometime and people really start to contribute and it just takes time.
You've had a powerful experience of some conversions. I want you to share that story.
First, you, this isn't just adults. You have a, it sounds like you have a whole range of people. Yes. You have families. You have adults. You have empty nesters. Kind of a whole. The whole gamut. From probably maybe six to 80. 80, 60 years old, 80.
“Yeah. And why did you choose the last Friday of the month?”
That was kind of my thought process being a mother. I know what it's like to have young children. And I wanted all people inclusive to be able to have the opportunity. And there was a lot of our friends from Holy Trinity where we go that had young kids. And I thought, you know, maybe a Friday wouldn't be such a big deal to be able to sleep in or have a little bit later night if needed. So we tried it and it's stuck.
I think it's brilliant because you don't have to worry about the next morning. I think there's a great idea. Very, a truly gifted host with those insights into what people want and need.
“Yeah. I mean, that's beautiful. That's why I'm, that's why I'm asking these questions.”
Because I think you had an intuition about the way to do it. That's very helpful to others.
And you've had some pretty amazing fruit with conversions. Sean, what's happened?
Kind of tell this story of what happened with, there were three people. So it's interesting to watch. Like you said, they're into discussion. How long does it go? And you really, you can see the Holy Spirit working in the room and how the conversation tends to go to a certain, you know, people and what's going on in their lives. So it's hard to say, you know, okay, we've got to stop. It's more of the feel of the room.
We had a lady invited over by another friend that was coming to the group. She has a son and he was experiencing some troubles in his life. I overheard some of that and listened to the conversation a little bit and it sounded like a lot of the same type of story that they have another friend of mine that I had been a sponsor for an OCI and I suggested that she get her son with him and they contacted him and they've been meeting
probably, no about once a week since then, while for a quite period of time now. And that in itself is just the Holy Spirit working out there. Everybody happened to be there,
That particular time to see that the ability to come to fruition through the ...
So then, gosh, where do I begin?
There was a couple of months later, I think. Yeah. We, let's see, help me out here. We had a group that included a couple of 14 year olds, a couple of 21 year olds and a variety of adults in different
“positions within their faith, which that's why I love this group. Yeah. And we happened to be”
talking about people that were missing and who we'd wished had been in the at the house that night and it kind of went from there to let's pray for the people that need to be here and then one of the young men kind of spoke up and he said, you know, when I'm at work, there's a big empty table and sometimes I sit down and nobody sits around me and it'd really be nice if I could have a conversation but being here tonight really shows me maybe what I need to do to encourage one myself.
Wow. And so that kind of went from there and then that very next night, Sean got a message. We're sitting at the concert, a tea mobile center, taking a grand daughter to a concert. Uh-huh. And I feel my phone go off and I looked and there's a message from my friend Jordan and he's on it's been meeting with Dylan and he seems to be a text message
it basically says, uh, you know, I'm going to believe this. Dylan asked me to be a sponsor of CIA.
Wow. Wow. So you and a you invite Dylan's mom and Dylan to the rosary group. A friend of mine had invited her. Oh. And I've known her for quite a while. We actually wanted to journey together. So we're seeing events. So it was several different chains of events from friends, to friends, to friends, to friends that got him there. And he actually brought his girlfriend that same night. This particular night was the night that Dylan was, I don't want to say
overcome, but in a sense overcome by just the overwhelming love and community of the house that yeah, you felt comfortable where he could speak up and so be part of it. You invite a group.
“One of them is his Dylan's mom, Dylan's a teenager. Yes. He's 21, I think. And moved by this”
friendship and prayer and conversation. He now wants to become Catholic. Correct. And you said that his girlfriend now is interested in the church? Yes. So that was kind of prompted by even more. So as Jordan and Dylan had been meeting Jordan's wife Rachel, I think kind of got in the midst of some of the conversation and Dylan then went Dylan and Jordan had gone on to be part of a journey retreat at our church, maybe a month or so later. And Dylan saw what Jordan got out of it.
Jordan had seen what his wife Rachel had got out of it. And it just kind of domino effect. And he was kind of on fire for wanting to know more. And his girlfriend Rayme was like, I want to know what you've got. Wow. I want to be part of that. Wow. Wow. You nailed it with just friends to friends to friends. Yes. But that's the power. When we come together in a rosary group, we're coming together as family and friends with our lady. And if you can invite
somebody into that who's never experienced that, it's it's beautiful. And it's that beauty and
“friendship and unconditional of that's what brings about conversion. Yes. But I know we were talking”
earlier and you said that even from this that Dylan's stepfather is now interested in the Catholic church. So that's that's three people. Within the same family. Within the same. That is amazing food. Yeah. But I think I think what I want everyone to know who's praying with us and listening
To this is and I'm getting embarrassed you a little bit Annie.
leader like you. It takes one person that is willing to take the risk to invite people. But I also
“think that it takes that every ring leader needs a partner. And because I don't think Annie you would”
do this without Sean. And I've seen that across the world the rosary groups that succeed are those most likely who have where's two people a ring leader who has a good partner. And when you can have that combination two things two beautiful things happen. This part this these two people who are leading the rosary group they grow in friendship. And then they invite others into a profound
friendship with Jesus and friendship with others. So I really want to encourage everyone out there.
Everyone do what Annie and Sean have done. Take the risk. Invite people to experience this
“beauty and who knows what fruit God will bring. Theresa what I'm going to give you the last word. What are your”
thoughts on this before we wrap up? I've done plenty of rosary groups before but this is really re-convicting me of how I want to approach just with my friends because of what you've described with thinking about what was best for your community and the right time for the people in your life and the right way to host them. It's going to look a little different for everyone. But I do think there's a way that everyone can do what you're talking about. And you said earlier before we
started the podcast that sometimes it's three people showing up. But it's the right three people and it's what they need that day and just to commit to praying the rosary because Paul and Jericho and Yantira andowski this is the first time I'm really realizing they're not different from Annie and Sean. No, they're really not. All they did was pray the rosary with people. That's right. All they did. So Annie, I really before we end, I really want to know,
“what did you put in the original invitation? What did you say? What did they think they were coming to?”
It was pretty simple. I mean my life as a nurse teaches me just state the facts.
So it was okay. We're going to start a rosary group. Here's what we're going to try.
Here's the date. Here's the time. Here's the place. Here's what to bring. Show up. Bring your rosary. We hope to see as many people as possible. And every month, about a week before, I sent a reminder with all the same type of information. Give them an idea what to bring. And I think the thing that gets me and I told you this earlier was how grateful we are for anyone who shows up. Yeah. I mean, we had one night in the middle of the rosary that we had about five empty
chairs in the middle of the rosary and entire family walks in. So it doesn't matter who you are, what your circumstances are. Come. Yeah. And invite somebody. And invite somebody. We don't have to invite the people. They can invite people to come with them. Yeah. That's a friend. That is awesome. And then those invited people become part of the group because then I put them on the text chain. And if you have concerns about how to make it happen or what to do when people get there,
don't worry about that. The Holy Spirit takes over when the people show up. That's right. You don't know what to do. Well said. So we have Pauline in the 1800s, Y'all and Tyrannowski in the 1900s. It's time. It's time for this to happen again. So everyone, let's get going. And let's be apostles of friendship, good conversation, and rosary groups. Share this with others.
