the seven habits of holiness first to live by the power of the Holy Spirit through Mary

“we have to stop trying to live by our own power we want to learn to live by the power of the”

Spirit because the Holy Spirit forms Jesus in us and the Spirit does this through Mary so we strive to belong entirely to her that the Holy Spirit may form Jesus in us and secondly we seek to receive Jesus frequently in the Eucharist third the practice of daily meditation on the Word of God every day to read and reflect on God's Word to listen to what He's saying and then to make a concrete resolution to do what He asks and forth we need a well-ordered plan of life

we need a structure that makes holiness possible sleep and prayer sacraments nutrition and exercise

“meaningful work friendship knowledge and beauty good fun as well as silence and rest”

but we also have to remove the destructive forces of sin and the near occasions of sin because we can't become holy while making peace with the things that destroy us sixth we need to learn the fullness of the Catholic faith and way of life

and finally we need to build the bridge of friendship so that we can cross over to our loved ones

be a part of the school faith team yeah the the two days of Troy that Troy yeah so I grew up obviously around you Mike you know knowing knowing you got a guy's my whole life and so the Lord has guided my life in crazy directions I suppose I age seven I started taking you know some of your formation and I remember thinking to myself like oh man this you know this is my guy this is you know my dad they're like super heroes like what what is this that

“they're doing eventually I was like I don't think it's it's them I think it's what they're talking about”

that's so cool so yeah if you do it they do well yeah so so I thought I I kind of wanted to leapfrog my dad I will not lie so I mean at age seven I want I wanted to be I want to be the Pope that was my those my goal as I grew up I kind of more I thought no I maybe I want to be a priest so I actually went through high school thinking I was going to be a priest and then I got to college and the Lord you know despite my thick head took me on on the right path

he introduced me to a beautiful red head the most gorgeous woman I've ever seen and and I thought okay Lord this is like she's going to think that I say this so I hope you're not listening well well maybe I'll have us pray it rosy I'll fire yourself the day that this goes out now I saw her and I and you know as I got to know her I thought okay this is kind of like the

final temptation before I go into the seminary right this is this is beautiful woman she's incredible

yes she's got everything she checks all the boxes but no I the Lord kind of placed it on my heart like

“now I think I think you need to date this girl and I thought okay well once we date and maybe”

then yeah you know because if if it doesn't work out then I know that you can just go on to the exactly the best the world has to offer like was not going on in my past exactly he was like this is the best wife on earth I know it's true it's true he was banging his head but yeah I think that's story so good I tell it Nick it's true I want you to know that I am like you want to hear the greatest story of nation ever heard you know this is the story of Francine but it's a pretty part of this

movement I mean we both grew up in this because it was just our families and we just spent so much

time immersed in theology and praying the rosary and things like that yeah now I received an incredible

formation in the philosophical theological you know mind of the church but it was so high that coming

“to school of faith now you know it showed me where this was all going because I was able to see”

you know what am I supposed to do it was COVID it's a crazy time I was just married I was like okay what do I do now and luckily there was a place for me to school of faith and opening that again was was providential that I was able to come in and see that the Lord was preparing for me to be able to enter into this movement and to enter into this ability of me to give my life to something that was greater than myself and you know it took those high things that I'd learned and brought them

down to a practical practicing you know every day with life that's caused by it because we could not have expected this when we were kids and now for me the other Nick tells about yourself yeah we like to make a confusing here at school of faith there's a Nicholas Nick so I'm Nick Morrison I've been at school of faith for a little over a year now I grew up in Austin Texas but went to the University of Kansas and graduated from there it's where I met my now wife we have three kids three

boys and a first girl in the way that's a little exciting but a little nerve-wracking too because

I get boys now you know it's easy but a girl in the mix that's going to be some learning there learning curve for sure but graduate from college joined the Marines was an artillery officer for four years got out in 2021 and entered the business world for a little bit and during my time in the Marine Corps when I actually converted to Catholicism I was very blessed to grew up in a great Protestant family went to Christian school almost all my life

but when I started dating my now wife got introduced to Catholicism and fell in love with the sacramids of course especially the Eucharist in the mass and you know my wife is very patient with me and it took a little while for me to fully make the jump but I did and I'm very feel very blessed to have the Catholic faith and it's my own and a little over a year ago this

Archbishop Norman yes yes all of them including confession just knee cat to knee cat that's probably

the most wild experience I've ever had in my life welcome to the Catholic Church oh yeah here it is well it's so awesome to have a couple of young dads part of our team Nicholas you have three kids Nick you have three and one on the way and just so you know

Nicholas to Slovakia and Nick to New Zealand yeah yeah we gotta pick up the last one I'll take New Zealand that sounds great uh Nicholas what I want to know is when you were dating Francine did you tell her listen I have the choice between being Pope and marrying you and I'm gonna choose you wow that would have been a good way to frame it it would have been one of I know she was very she was already so kind to say yes to wanting to date me I didn't need any more

“tripping out for any other hazards to thrown her away I think you know so let's let me ask the”

both of you because for me the greatest experience is when I get a chance to talk to the people who are part of the movement the people who are praying the podcast with us and their lives are transforming I'm always blown away by those conversations I'm I'm sure you've had the same experience I have without a doubt you have been you know doing some form of that for my six years here is school faith and I mean what a beautiful experience it's been to talk to all of you

“incredible listeners to hear the trust that you have you know I've never had a bad conversation”

that it's always so incredible to hear the intentions that you have that you want us to be praying

for what you incredible things that are Lord and our lady is doing in our life that you shared it's been so beautiful for me to experience and it's always an uplifting thing so so thank you well for sharing yeah you know you always talk about friendship is two people or more people pursuing a third reality and when that third reality is holiness in God you you can have great conversations and share and the joy that pursuing God is it is a joy inside it's love can

talk to people and hear in their story and understanding how God's working in their life and how they're changing their life you know through God's grace bill so through their participation they are transforming themselves into being more like God like we're called to you and so I

love I love those conversations yeah it's super inspiring yeah it is amazing we all have this the

same purpose holding this into help get our loved ones to have and this is the purpose we all share which makes us all friends mm-hmm yeah so it really is about friendship good conversation and the rosary that's right share this with others
