Welcome to our daily rosary meditation.

in the Holy Spirit. Let's call to mind all those we promised to pray for. I believe in God,

the Father Almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord.

He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered

underpunches pilot. It was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell. On the third day,

He rose again. He ascended into heaven, and He seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, being in a sense, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting, amen. Our Father, who art in heaven, hollow would be your name. Like kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us a stay, our daily bread, and forgive us our trust

fascists as we free of those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, deliver us from evil amen. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed, our Thile, among women, blessed is a fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us and earns now in the hour of our death, amen. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed, our Thile, among women, blessed is a fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God,

Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us and earns now in the hour of our death, amen. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son,

and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, as now in Never shall be, world without end, amen.

Our first mystery, do you have a gym membership or have you ever been a member of a gym?

Do you know what the purpose of having a gym membership is? Of course you do. The only reason to have a gym membership is to get in shape. At the end of the day, there's only one reason to be a member of the Catholic Church, and that is to become holy, to receive God's own divine life and be transformed by it, so that we truly become like Him through and through. See, Jesus came, not just to teach, not even just to save us from a distance, but to share His very life with us. He said,

"I came that they may have life and have it abundantly," and Saint John of the Cross expresses this mystery with bold clarity. The soul becomes God by participation. That is what it means to get to heaven or become a saint. It means to allow God to share His divine life with you and by this means to transform you, to allow God to make you like Himself. That's the whole point of the

Catholic Church. But of course, you could have a gym membership and never actually get more fit.

You could just never go, or when you go, you don't bother to do any exercise. And in that case, obviously your membership isn't going to help you very much. And the same thing can happen with Catholics. They are very open about their membership, but they don't put any of the work in or utilize the resources the Church offers. So let's talk about that now. What resources does the Church

offer you in this pursuit of holiness, of transforming union with God?

Our Father, who art in heaven, hollowed be your name, like kingdom come by, will be done on earth as it is in heaven. If us stay, our duty bread and forgive us our trespasses. As we forgive those who trespass against us, then lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil amen. Your Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with the blessed art thou among women, blessed is a fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us in earth, now in the hour of our death amen. Glory be to the Father and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the meeting as now in our shall be, world without end amen. Oh, my Jesus, forgive us, our sins, save us from the fires of hell. Please all souls to have an especially those most in need of thy mercy. Our second mystery,

the first and most powerful resource that church offers us are the sacraments. The sacraments

are the most concentrated blasts of God's divine life of spiritual power that you can access in your quest for holiness to become like God, to become a saint. The sacraments are combinations

of words and material things like bread and wine, oil and water, and every time a sacrament happens,

the Holy Spirit floods your soul with God's life to help you overcome sin and to grow in virtue and love, love of God and neighbor. And Christ has entrusted these explosions of divinity of spiritual power to His church. They give us the life and energy, the will and the clarity to make serious advances along the spiritual life. So are we receiving the Eucharist as often as we can? And are we going to confession often at least once a month? And are we committed to

living out the fullness of our baptism, confirmation, and marriage? Because if not, then we're wasting our very best opportunities for becoming a saint. Our Father who art in heaven, hollowed be your name, thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us the stair, daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil Imen.

As it was in the beginning, as now in the number shall be, world without end, amen. Oh, my Jesus, forgive us, our sins, save us from the fires of hell.

Let all souls to have an especially those most in need of thy mercy. Our third mystery. The second

way in which the church can help us be transformed by God's life is through her teaching.

The church's moral teaching is precisely what tells us how to become saints. It tells us what we have to do, and it tells us what we must not do, based on the way we're made, and the plans God has made for us. It's His instruction manual for human existence, but also the church gives us countless exhortations, recommendations and great practices. It encourages us as far as we're able to embrace lives of poverty, chastity, and obedience. It warns us against attachments to things

that aren't necessarily bad in themselves, but can become dangerously enticing. And it gives us great spiritual practices, like the rosary, as well as really helpful techniques for overcoming

discouragement and distraction in prayer. This isn't the church's first rodeo. She has the human

experience and the path to God pretty well marked out. So are we learning from the church and are we

letting her coaches toward this transformation in God that He can bring about if we'll just be humbling enough to learn and cooperate. Our Father who art in heaven, how it would be your name, thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us a stare, a daily bread, and for give us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil amen. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee,

blessed art thou among women, blessed is a fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God,

pray for us in earth's noun at the hour of our death amen. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with

Interestingly, other members in the church actually help us in two ways.

more advanced than we are. This is especially true of the saints in heaven who give us the

best examples in the most powerful intercession, but it's also true of holy people on earth.

People we should all try to surround ourselves with because holy people show us how to live our faith here and now and live it courageously into the full. Their witness and their lives are beautifully infectious and they can't help but raise us up. But it's also true that other church members help us spiritually even when they are less advanced than we are. That's when they need our support. That's when they need us to be patient. That's when they need us to help them,

not lose sight of what really matters. And of course, as any teacher or coach will tell you,

nothing helps confirm the truth and yourself better than trying to teach it to others,

trying to help others. So are we making the most of this community that is the church?

Are we reading and learning from the lives and writings of the saints? And are we becoming friends with them and asking them for their help and guidance? And are we working on holy friendships down here on earth seeking people who can help us be better? And are we seeking out those who aren't fully bought in and helping them to make the commitment? Because if we aren't, there's no way that we will become as holy as God wants us to be.

Our father worked in heaven, how it would be your name, that kingdom come by will be done in earth as it is in heaven. If us is to air daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us

from evil Amen. The Omery full of grace to Lord is with the blessed Arthalmung women blessed it

As it was in the beginning as noun never shall be, world without end amen. All my Jesus.

Forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to have an especially those most in need of thy mercy. Our fifth mystery, God is a consuming fire of love that wants to transform you. John of the cross, right? This living flame of love, since it is extremely loving, transforms the soul in its love and the soul becomes completely love, just like a logger would when it is in kindled, becomes transformed into fire and has the same appearance and gives off

Off the same properties as the fire itself.

purgatory, not just to be good, but to be completely transformed by the fire of God's divine life

and love, to be so consumed by His flame that like a burning log, we ourselves become God.

We become love, my participation. And this is what the church exists to do to set souls on fire. The sacraments are where the divine fire is most concentrated. In confession, the flame burns away sin. In the Eucharist, Christ places the burning coal of His own love into your heart. And the church's moral teaching doesn't just smother the flame, it gives it shape, it teaches you, what must be cleared away so that fire can grow. And the community of the church, the community

of saints, it surrounds you like burning coals, encouraging challenging and igniting your own heart.

The entire church's structure, its sacraments, moral life, it's moral teaching, the community, it's all like kindling, arranged for one purpose to set you on fire.

So here's the question, what's holding you back from being set on fire?

What sinner you cling into like wet wood that resists the flame? What comforts are you protecting the keep you from burning freely? And what fears are keeping you from throwing yourself fully into the fire of God's love? For Jesus said, "I've come to cast fire on earth and how I wish

it were already blazing." The church's place where the fire is kindled, and you, well,

you are meant to burn. Or Father who art in heaven, how it would be your name, that kingdom come by will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us a stay our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not in to temptation, deliver us for me, believe me. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with the blessed

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning,

as now in the Versailles be world without end amen. Oh, my Jesus. Rehears our sins, save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls to heaven, especially those most in need of thy mercy. St. Michael, the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God review him, we humbly pray, and do thou oh praise to the heavenly hosts by the power of God, cast into hell, Satan and all the evil spirits who prowled throughout

the world, seeking the rune of souls in the name of the Father and the Son of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

What car your attention with this meditation?

You know, it's good. I'm not an arsonist. I do like setting fires. I'm not setting things on fire,

but I do appreciate a good fire. Who doesn't? And I think it's such a good metaphor for this

relationship with God and this visual that a lot of saints in a lot of different ways, like John of the Cross, talk about how growing closer to God gets easier and easier. And I think fire is such a good metaphor for that because it's all consuming. You become like that thing and it becomes less

than less active. You're just on fire. And so that fire burns brighter and brighter and you fuel it,

but the fire is kind of doing the work. You're just standing in the flames. Yeah. And it's like

standing in the flames, being at the sacraments, going to mass really being open, really seeing that

fire and being that kind of light and warmth. It's just fantastic because it does remind me of those really beautiful descriptions of Nada, of emptying oneself. But in this way, a different way.

It's also talking about the visions of was that, oh, I'm so bad with saying names and I'm going

to say the wrong thing. I'm thinking of a writer's name right now. Was it Katherine Labore? No. It was a different French one. Sacred Heart apparition. The Sacred Heart, Saint Margaret Mary Alicolk. I was thinking of the woman who wrote Little Women by accident. I can't. Louis and May Alicolk are something that the name too similar. But so thank you. But the vision of that just give me your heart and I will make it. I will I will bring the warmth and the fire. That's

not just like go build a fire, go figure out all the kindling and try to keep it alive. If you have ever tried to fight, start a fire without tools to do so, it's frustrating and you immediately wonder, how do all of these accidental fires happen because I can't even will this fire into being no matter how hard I try without the right materials and God is saying, I'm the fire just come to

me. Yeah. That's an incredible metaphor. Yeah. Yeah. If you want to be set ablaze, just trust the

process and the process is really simple. Go receive the Eucharist is often as you can. Good place to start is one extra daily mass a week. Go to confession at least once a month. If you want to really be set on blaze, go two times a month or really set on fire go every week and do daily meditation and have a resolution every day. Yeah. Just do that. More often and not part of our things holding us back is the way we try to over complicate things and do a ton of work and then we

we're thrown off because of the amount of efforts and working in the wrong direction and trying to become God like without God and he's just the sacraments are here. I'm here, come stand in the fire. It's not the sacraments alone. It's the sacraments plus daily meditation and a resolution. Well, thanks for the conversation. Thank you. Let's be apostles of friendship, good conversation and the rosary. Share this with others.
