World without end amen our first mystery
Jesus repeatedly promised that those who prayed with faith would be granted the thing they prayed for and he says it clearly in the sermon on the mount ask and it will be given you seek and you will find knock and it will be open to you But then Jesus asks In the Garden of Gysemony Father
Let this cup pass for me With the fullness of faith Jesus asked and he wasn't granted to him Like so many Christians down through the ages who would ask with faith for healing or strength or for the conversion of a loved one Jesus asked and he did not receive How can this be how can it be that the one who promised our prayers would be answered
What himself pray and not have his request granted Our Father who art in heaven hollowed be your name that kingdom come that will be done on earth as it is in heaven Give us a stay our daily bread and free of us our trespasses As we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil amen Hail Mary full of grace the Lord is with thee blessed our Thalmung women blessed is a fruit of thy womb Jesus

As it was in the beginning as now never shall be world without end amen
Oh my Jesus forgive us our sins save us from the fires of hell Lead all souls to have an especially those most in need of thy mercy our second mystery Jesus makes it clear That it is God's will which must be the standard for our prayers
“That's why he ends his petition in the garden with not my will”
But your will be done The goal of the Christian life including all prayers of petition is not to conform God's will to hours But to conform our will to God's Obviously we should not expect God to grant us things which are contrary to his will for us
James tells the early Christians you ask and do not receive because you ask badly
to satisfy your passions That's why we can only be certain our prayers will be answered if we are certain about what God's will is We can ask for something and be certain about receiving it when we know
“It's God's will to give it to us and by the same token”
When we're asking God to do what we know he wants to do it means our wills are conformed to his And when our wills are conformed to his He can do much more in us and through us Our Father who art in heaven hollowed be your name thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven Give us a stair dearly bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us
And lead us not into temptation But to the rest for me, volemann Hail Mary full of grace the Lord is with thee blessed our Thalmang women blessed it is a fruit of thy womb Jesus Holy Mary mother of God Pray for us in our ensnown at the hour of our death, amen

To have an especially those most in need of thy mercy, our third mystery, Jes...
people's lack of faith and in fact we read once in the gospel that he was unable to
“work many miracles for a certain group of people because their faith was so small they were unwilling”
to have confidence in God's ability and desire to give them the things he wanted to give them. Now when we ask for God's help in growing and holiness we can be absolutely confident that God can make us holy and he wants to make us holy and so God will be more able to make us holy, so too with overcoming our vices. When Jesus spoke most dramatically about the power of faith, he was speaking about his miraculously causing the fig tree to wither and about casting a mountain
into the sea. In other words the power of faith isn't just constructive, it's also destructive
of our most terrible vices, so we have to pray with confidence that God will cause our vices
“to dry up and will destroy the mountain of our bad habits and no matter how impossible it sounds”
with God's grace and our faithful prayer, it will happen and we will grow in holiness. Our Father who art in heaven, hollowed beer name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is and heaven. Your vices stay our daily bread and for your rest are trespasses. As we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not in due temptation, but deliver us from evil amen. Hail Mary full of grace. The Lord is with thee blessed our Thou among women blessed. It is
a fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary mother of God, pray for us in our ensnowing at the hour of our death amen. Hail Mary full of grace. The Lord is with thee blessed our Thou among women.
“Blessed is a fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary mother of God, pray for us in our ensnowing”
at the hour of our death amen. Hail Mary full of grace. The Lord is with thee blessed our Thou among women blessed. It is a fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary mother of God, pray for us in our ensnowing at the hour of our death amen. Hail Mary full of grace. The Lord is with the blessed our Thou among women blessed. women. Blessed is a fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary mother of God, pray for us in our ensnowing at the hour of our death amen. Hail Mary full of grace. The Lord is with thee blessed our Thou among women blessed. It is a fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary mother of God, pray for us in our ensnowing at the hour of our death amen. Hail Mary full of grace. The Lord is with thee blessed our Thou among women blessed. It is a fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary mother of God, pray for us in our ensnowing
at the hour of our death amen. Hail Mary full of grace. The Lord is with thee blessed our Thou among women blessed. It is a fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary mother of God, pray for us in our ensnowing at the hour of our death amen. Hail Mary full of grace. The Lord is with thee blessed our Thou among women blessed. It is a fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary mother of God, pray for us in our ensnowing at the hour of our death amen. Hail Mary full of grace. The Lord is with thee blessed our Thou
among women blessed. It is a fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary mother of God, pray for us in our ensnowing at the hour of our death amen. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the meeting as now and to our shall be, world without end amen. Oh, my Jesus. Forgive us, our sins, save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls to have an especially those most in need of thy mercy. Our fourth mystery. Jesus said that God is a good Father who won't give us
a snake if we ask for a fish or stone if we ask for bread. The problem is sometimes
we do ask him for snakes and stones. We ask him for things that won't be good for us, that won't make us happy. Now I'm a Father and I loved it when my kids came and asked me for everything. Yeah, that was a little annoying but it showed that they trust me and it's actually a little sad today that my kids are grown and they don't come to me and ask me for things.
God is a Father once us as his children to come to him and ask for everything...
But we have to remember what we ask for must be subordinated to our salvation. In other words,
we should ask for healing from an illness, safety on a journey, success in a project, or even for the elimination of some interior struggle. But all of these we should ask for secondarily and conditionally to what we really need, our conversion and holiness. Now only God knows whether some worldly good we're praying for is really optimally for our conversion and holiness,
“our ultimate happiness. That's why Saint Paul prayed to be delivered from the Thorn in the flesh”
and then God refused because God's power could be better manifested and Saint Paul's mission
could be better filled through His weakness. It's also why every time we make a request for some
worldly benefit, we have to at least assume the phrase if it be your will. The phrase Jesus used in the garden, since apart from some mystical revelation, we don't know whether the thing we're praying for corresponds to God's will and for our perfect happiness. Again, the certainty of prayer is based on certainty of God's will and all we know for sure is that God wills what is best for us and those we love. So when we ask for a specific thing, that's the confidence that should
“undergrewed our prayer. The confidence that God will always and only give us what is best.”
Our Father who art in heaven, hollowed be your name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth
as it is in heaven. Give us a stair, daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation, deliver us from evil Amen. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee blessed, our Thal among women blessed is a fruit of thy womb Jesus. Mary, Mother of God, pray for us in earth's noun at the hour of our death, Amen. Hail Mary, full of
“grace, the Lord is with thee blessed, our Thal among women blessed is a fruit of thy womb Jesus.”

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us in earth's noun at the hour of our death, amen.
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, as nouned of her shall be, rolled without end, amen. Oh, my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls to have an especially those most in need of thy mercy. Our fifth mystery. Jesus began his passion by asking whether God could spare him,
He ended his passion by asking whether God could spare those who killed him.
Father forgive them. They don't know what they're doing.
Jesus tells us explicitly to pray for sinners, especially those who sin against us, and he tells us to pray relentlessly, like the widow who petitioned the dishonest judge.
“But can we be certain that if we pray for sinners, they will convert?”
How many parents have prayed for their wayward children like St. Monica? But their children have not come back to the faith. How many wives have prayed for their husbands? How many have prayed for the repentance of friends? And yet their friends continue unswervingly to ruin. How do we make sense of this? Doesn't God will the conversion of sinners and doesn't certainty in God's will give us certainty
that our prayers will be answered? Then why don't sinners convert when we pray for it?
There are two points to make here. First of all, yes, God wills the conversion of all sinners,
but He wills that their conversion is conditional on their free will. They must choose to repent otherwise it wouldn't work. Secondly, by praying for sinners, it increases our love for them and therefore makes us better able to help lead them to conversion. When we love someone, we're united to them,
“what happens to them and what happens to us becomes connected?”
Now we've already said that when we conform our wills to God,
He can do more for us and he otherwise could. Well, by being united to sinners through our love for them,
our conformity to God's will for them actually enables God to do more for them. So this is the certainty we have when we pray for sinners. We know God loves them, we know we love them and that our love for them and our prayer for them enable God to help them more and we know that they are good and these certainty should prompt us to pray with confidence and zeal as our Lord did from the cross.
So what's our resolution today? We should pray confidently for everything.
“But our confidence must rest not in getting exactly what we want,”
but in the certainty that God will give us what is truly best. Our Father who art in heaven, hollowed be your name, by kingdom come by will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us a stare, do the bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, amen. Your Mary full of grace to Lord is with thee blessed, our Thalman, women blessed.

As it was in the beginning, as now in the first shall be, world without end, amen. All my Jesus, forgive us, our sins, save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls to have an especially those most in need of thy mercy.
St. Michael the Archangel, the windows in battle, the art protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God review him, we humbly pray, and do thou opens of the heavenly hosts by the power of God cast into hell, Satan in all the evil spirits, we crawl throughout the world,
“seeking the rune of souls. Can I ask you a question? I want to ask you honestly if this came across.”
Our Father is a perfect Father, and He wants His children to ask Him for everything.
So we should just pray with confidence, ask Him with confidence, and never relent.
And no, that He will do what is best. However, we just need to accept what happens, accept His will, and that will be perfectly happy in heaven. >> I think that comes across. Is that a satisfying answer? >> Yeah, as long as you're being honest. >> I am being honest. >> Okay, good. >> Yeah, I absolutely got that from the meditation. >> Sometimes I can get lost in the meditation. >> I was just telling a friend of mine how
difficult it is to write a book. When you know the story you want to get across, you're already imagining the characters, you already have a visual for all the settings, and how everything connects together. So when you put it to a page, you don't know what might be missing from that page, because it's already in your head until someone else picks it up, and they're like, oh my gosh, I imagined everything like this, and I didn't even imagine that, and I was like, right,
I didn't even put those pieces on the page because it was already obvious to me. It's so hard as the writer and in your case, writing these meditations to know if it actually comes across, because things get lost in translation, but I thought I understood that from the meditation. >> And as we were praying, and I was meditating, as I was thinking, I just kept thinking, yes, our father is a perfect father. He wants his children to ask him for everything,
so we should, and just ask him with confidence, never stop, but we also know he will only do
what's best. So whatever happens, we accept his will as the best, and we know we will be perfectly
“happy in heaven. >> I think it's important this emphasis on God as the father, when we're talking”
about our prayers and what we ask of him, because kids should ask their parents for things, but they shouldn't, they're not, the children are not the authority figures, so they can't demand. They don't say, "Give me this thing, father, give me this now, and give me it exactly as I want it, because that's not asking a father, and that's not the relationship that children should have to their parents." But can I have this? I think I need this, what do you think is a very
reasonable approach? >> Yeah. >> And it's that dynamic of authority and yet caretaking.
>> And there's something powerful that happens when we go to God with everything, look what happens.
We purify our pride, pride says, "I don't need God. I can do this. I got this." But every time
We turn to the Father, we're saying, "Father, I need you.
you." And when we're praying for the people, we're saying, "I love this other person." So there's so much good that happens by turning them constantly. >> We can think that it's arbitrary if we're only asking for what God wills, and if God's going to do it anyways, then why ask? But there's much to be said about that relationship between children and parents, because your parent wants to feed you. Their responsibility is to feed you. But there's this communication of needs when you say,
“"I'm hungry. What are we having for dinner or what time is dinner or could we eat now?”
I just this communication of needs because it does say, "I'm still your child and I still rely on you and I still know that everything comes from you." >> Exactly. >> Or even if you ask, "I have so many memories from childhood of my brother and I switching off, who would ask if we could
go out for dinner?" But it was never this anger that we couldn't go out for dinner,
but this hope, and just you would try it, you'd see maybe, maybe that would be an option, and this kind of shared delight between whatever mom would say yes, and we'd get to share that together, or sometimes it just wasn't in the cards, and it made it more delightful, but when we did,
“but to approach God with the same kind of, "Hey, I know you already want to take care of me.”
I want to throw this out there as well, and share with you my hopes and desires, and I know that no matter what you're going to take care of me, but I'm just letting you know because there's this communication of reliance and love." >> Exactly. >> And you say what you want. >> Exactly. Exactly. And honestly,
yes, parents get annoyed when it's the incestant requests from little kids, but I'll tell you what, when your kids no longer ask you for anything, it's sad. >> I was thinking about this moment at a friend of mine's wedding, where we were all dancing, it was the reception, and the flower girl came up to me, and she was so little. She was like three years old, adorable, little dress, perfectly curled hair, and she says something so quiet,
and I leaned down to here, and she was like, "I need water. Could you get me water?"
>> Yeah. >> They never met this little girl. >> Yeah.
>> But I felt so honored that this little girl approached me, never, never knew me, and needed something and asked, and immediately, I left the dance floor, I was like, "Let's go find you some water. I didn't even know where there was water, but we wouldn't found some, and I just felt so honored by the reliance of a little kid." >> That's it. >> That's it. >> To acknowledge you as a caretaker.
>> That's it. >> It was just so sweet, and I still think about that moment.
“>> That's it. That's why we should go to God with everything.”
And at the same time, no he answers, every time and accept his answer with trust, every time.
And know that we're not going to understand always in the moment,
or even in this life, but we will understand in the next life. Well, thanks for the conversation. >> Thank you. >> Let's be apostles of friendship, good conversation, and the rosary. Share this with others.
