Hey guys, it's Lyndon.

that investigation continues behind the scenes, here's another case we're looking into.

It's a quiet street in tip city Ohio. There's neat lawns, privacy fences,

the kind of neighborhood where nothing ever seems out of place. It makes it hard to believe that just beyond one of those perfect walls, a mother's life was violently taken in the place she's supposed to feel the safest. Well, we have a lady with a gunshot in the head near bed. We got gunshot, gunshot cases on the floor. But three days later, that frantic 911 call would take on a

different meaning. I'm Lyndon Blake and this is a daily wire true crime investigation.

What do you think of the family in your life that has it all? This is what the Flynn family was in tip city Ohio. You had Caleb Flynn and Ashley Flynn. They were college sweethearts. They

met at this Christian school in Tennessee called Lee University. They moved back to tip city where

Ashley Guthrie had two daughters lived on a coldest sack in this quiet neighborhood where the kids would play. They would even ride their bikes to school with Caleb sometimes. And truly, if you look at them online, you would think they had it all. Ashley was a volleyball coach. She coached seven the grade middle school volleyball and she loved this. She was a substitute teacher who often volunteered and helped with Bible study for students that went to public schools.

Ashley was so involved in their church. Christian life center church in Dayton, Ohio as was Caleb. On Sundays, he would be on stage singing leading the congregation in worship with Ashley there, watching him every step of the way. This is the picture perfect family. You had a family that loved Jesus, that loved their kids and for all accounts seemed to be very happy. This all changed on President's Day and the middle of the night on February 16th when Ashley was killed in her

bedroom, just feet away from where her two daughters were sleeping. So how did we get here?

Let's go back to the night on February 16th. Caleb called the police at 2.30 in the morning on President's Day saying there was a burglary at his home. So police go respond to this quiet neighborhood in tip city thinking it was a burglary call. Caleb told officers, "Someone broke into my home and then shot my wife." But again at the time of the 911 call, police know one thing they're going to this home invasion and someone's been shot. So you have this horrible

situation, a burglary gone wrong, a wife and mother dead, and police are investigating the scene. They're looking for who would break in to this quiet neighborhood in this quiet house in tip city, Ohio. Well that's the theory for a couple of days. The 911 call was odd because you're calling the police. Your wife is shot in the head in your bed and you go into this story about how it happened. You would think the natural reaction would be, "My wife has been shot in the head. Please get here

now." The burglary becomes an afterthought because who cares what someone took in your house

when your wife is dying. It was always a bizarre 911 call. But it was Thursday, just three days

after police responded to the Flynn home where they arrest Caleb for the murder of his wife Ashley. And here's what police said. Police said that Caleb shot Ashley in the head with a nine millimeter handgun. And then that night he allegedly staged this crime scene to throw off the investigators. He left the glove compartment open in a truck. There was the garage side door that was open and there was a refrigerator in front of that door. And again, this is all staged when officers

get to the house. There's been body camera footage that has just been released of this entire ordeal. We're going to show you some of that body cam footage in really analyzed Caleb's behavior after the break.

Okay.

Right now, the body cam footage was released March 2nd. It was honestly hours worth of footage

taken you from the moment police were on the way to the Flynn household. All the way up until Caleb was

booked in the Miami County jail. I watched it all and picked out the most disturbing parts of what happened that night to start off. You can visibly see Caleb just wailing almost hyper ventilating when cops get there. I'm talking about he's yelling Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, not being calm at all. You can hear him sobbing at one point. He's even throwing up. So that's his chaos is unfolding.

You have Caleb wailing in the living room. You have his daughters that have just

slept through all of this and are still sleeping through all of this at this point. Because they

didn't get woken up until it was a police officer that went in there to wake up the daughters and

be with them. But you're seeing their living room in their house and throughout all of this. You see they're too dogs just walking around and it just is what you would imagine their family life was like and the joy they had in that living room with the daughters playing and the dogs and it's just it is so sickening that all of this is happening while Ashley is her body. It's just in the bed on her side like she went to sleep and one thing that I noticed, one of the detective said quote,

"It looks like she's been gone for a while." That was interesting to me. Immediately you could just tell by her coloring. He's saying that this was something that didn't just happen in the last 30 minutes when Caleb picked up the phone and they immediately responded. Something else that was interesting. Again, we're getting this body camera footage after Caleb has been charged with his wife's murder.

He's in jail on $2 million bond. He's asking officers. Is she gone? Is she gone?

Over and over. At one point, he's asked, can he start calling family and all of that. His parent, he says in the video or in Minnesota. So he calls Ashley's mom and that's the woman who in the video you see come over to the house again. Ashley's dead in the bed. You have Caleb outside talking to his mother-in-law and at one point he said, "She told me this sleep on the couch. I shouldn't have listened." He was talking about how he had this cough and Ashley wanted and was sleeping

on the couch that night but he shouldn't have listened because he was unharmed during this burglary gone wrong. It was just his wife who was shot by the alleged intruder. It was a horrible thing to watch back but police, you see them doing their job. They're the ones that go check on the daughters and the daughters were asleep through all of this until the police officers woke them up. And then after they secure the crime scene, Caleb agrees that same night to go down to the police

station for questioning and that's all in video as well. One of the first things I noticed about

Caleb being at the police station for his questioning and let me just set this up for questioning. Obviously he's going to be one of the suspects in this or he's going to have to be I guess cleared so you would say so DNA swabs fingerprints because like police said in the video they knew he was at the scene of the crime so it's standard procedure to get cleared. While he was at the police station he asked how long are they going to have his phone? His wife is dead. The mother of his

children dead. This is in the hours following that and he's asking investigators how long

Are you going to keep my cell phone?

fingerprints. He took all the photos. They're taking marks of his body in this video and then

he moves on again. The next time we're picking up the body cam footage is when Caleb was already

at the station on that Thursday. The Thursday he was arrested and we pull it my calendar, February 19th. He's already at the station and that's when you see officers come out to the lobby and put him under arrest. What do you want evidence? What's that? Turn around on the former sir. We're not going to discuss that. Put your hands together for me like.

Is there a picture coming? What's that? Is there a picture coming? This was fascinating to watch because he's with a friend there in the police lobby and his friends like freaking out. How do y'all

evidence to do this? How do y'all evidence to do this? And you have to remember what do they do

in the early hours after the crime scene was secure? They get his fingerprints. They get his DNA. They do all the things to try to clear Caleb but obviously something there. Let investigators after they said they did a thorough investigation and did not rush to any conclusions but all signs pointed to it being Caleb who did this heinous crime. Caleb has investigators too. What changed and the investigators were like, well, we're not going to get into that but evidence evolves.

So you see Caleb get handcuffed, get re-finger-printed and this is all at tip cities police station. But you see him take the ride to the Miami County jail where he still is in custody. How could someone kill their wife period? You can put a period after that. But how could someone kill their wife? The mother of their two little girls taking the girl's mother away from them then have the nerve to call your dead wife's mother and bring her into this at the crime scene

and fake it all. Here she is at the scene asking investigators what happened. What he said is someone broken to the side door and the side door is partially open right now. Side door to the garage. So if you notice her face in this video, it looks like she's not even buying

the burlory narrative and it's disgusting to think about and I think that's why this story is just

gotten so much attention because it's a guy that was a worship pastor that was involved in the kid's life. This is a picture perfect family. That is how they were described and he ruined it all. So it wasn't long after Caleb was arrested that people started figuring out that at one point in time he lived a pretty public life. He was on American Idol in 2013. This worship pastor singer that went viral in this one clip because he talked about how much he loved his wife.

Thing that makes me unique, you know, I absolutely love the Lord. I love my wife more than anything. She is very, very pretty. Just woof. I love her. My favorite past idol contestant would probably

be Carrie Underwood. She's just absolutely incredible. Love her attitude and just her passion for

for what she does and I promise you if my wife died her hair blonde she would look just like her. But now the world is seeing Caleb on camera again, but this is in completely different circumstances. He made his first appearance on February 20th. That was the Friday. The day after his arrest and just several days after he allegedly shot his wife and killed her in their own home. During his first appearance, this is what Caleb had to say. He said, "I just want to take

care of my daughters. I'm not a risk." He was telling this to the judge who just said his bond at

$2 million. So showing his face for the first time and trying to get back to his two daughters

Who he allegedly just took their mother out of their life.

appearance that really threw me for a loop. Caleb's attorneys Paul Mulligan, he gave this quote

about the $2 million bond being unnecessarily high. He said this. Having his bond that $2 million

quote denies him the opportunity to be at the funeral for his wife, which is an unspeakable tragedy. Caleb's wife's funeral was scheduled for the following Sunday. Before his arrest, it was a public funeral. They wanted to truly have everyone in town celebrate Ashley's life. But the moment Caleb got arrested, that became a private thing, and obviously Caleb was not at the funeral. But what a bull claimed by his attorney to talk about him being denied the opportunity to

go to his wife's funeral when the reason he can't go to his wife's funeral is because he is in jail

for her murder. Just an odd thing. There's been a lot of theories out there about why Caleb would do this. Why would a husband kill his wife? You can obviously use your imagination to come up with

the obvious theories. Nothing's been confirmed. But there's been some things that are a little

odd that have happened since Caleb's arrest and since he's been in jail. One of them, and this is coming directly from investigators. They're saying to direct any questions regarding quote, conversations or motives to the Miami County prosecutor's office. To me as someone that's covered this, you don't really get that that often from a police department. Like, hey, if you have any questions about conversations, ask this person. So that just makes me wonder, what conversations are they talking

about? What do they know? Maybe that conversations that potentially Caleb was having? I don't know. But I've been calling Miami County prosecutor's office every single day. I haven't done an answer yet. I'm going to continue to follow that because again, that's something interesting as we

continue to work through this case and figure out why he would do this. And just other odd things.

I told you guys that Caleb was involved in the church at one point. He was a worship pastor in the church and had videos all over YouTube of him singing a Christmas Easter, just a normal good Sunday of worship. Since his arrest, all of those have been taken down. Thankfully, we were able to get some of them. And also the church's staff page, just completely white from the website. That wasn't the case right after Caleb's arrest. You go see who I was on the worship team, who I was at the church,

will now that's been completely taken down. They're not releasing Ashley's preliminary autopsy. They will release the final autopsy. But I was told that could take three to five weeks before that comes out. But that should tell a lot of information too. And sometimes you do get the preliminary autopsy results. But in this case, not happening. One thing that I've been told from sources that are in tip city is that neighbors, again, I told you they lived in this cul-de-sac. There's a lot of

rain cameras around facing Caleb and Ashley's home. Neighbors didn't see anything on their rain camera until police vehicle showed up. And one neighbor said that they heard what sounded like it could be gunshots on their rain camera. But the police vehicles didn't show up until way after that. That's something that the final autopsy could tell us a time of death for Ashley Flynn compared to when the 911 call was made, which we know is at 230 on the morning of February 16th.

Right now, we know that Caleb is being held in a single cell all by himself. This is for his safety according to the veteran corrections officer and the high profile status of this case. So what happens next? There is this other preliminary hearing scheduled for March 26th. It was scheduled for February with a push that back. So his next court appearance is going to happen in a couple of weeks on March 26th. And in the meantime, there's this court filing from Ashley's family that's asking

for information on the couple's bank accounts, their retirement accounts, their real estate car, all their financial records. And Ashley Flynn's family said in the filing that Caleb quote has the

motive opportunity and means to dissipate these assets to transfer them to third parties or to

otherwise place them beyond the reach of the children and the estate. So it's sad that during the

Midst of this tragedy and this loss of Ashley, her family is also having to w...

that the children are protected and that the assets are protected in this case. This is one of the

stories that is far from being over. So we'll continue to follow it. And of course, we're still

following the case of Nancy Gay 3. A lot of stuff has happened. We're going to continue to follow it

over the weekend and we'll bring you a full update on Monday. I'm Lyndon Blake and this is a daily

wire true crime investigation. We'll see you back here next time.
