One of the biggest stars in the game. It's all brought to you by Chevy Equinox, which is your do it all SUV. We're driving Chevy's.
We're on the road. We're down in the Jacksonville area. Pana Vigier Beach. It's Ludwig Oberg. It's his first podcast with us for over an hour.
He's hit down after spending the entire day with us on the golf course. Just a delightful, delightful interview. People are about to listen to this. This was a real treat. He's a great guy.
“I think people are really going to see his side of him.”
He really is. We really get into a lot of stuff. We talk about the players with him. We go through that whole thing. People are really going to like this interview with Ludwig and it's all brought to you by our friends at Chevy.
Yeah, shout out to Chevy. We're on the road again. Here in Florida, driving up and down Jacksonville to airports. We're in our Chevrolet.
Always, always unbelievable to be able to get into those beautiful, beautiful Chevy's.
And thanks for being a part of the show for so many years and supporting the boys and the fellows and making stuff like this. Possible. We would never be here with that. The Chevy Equinox is plenty of room, which is huge because we've got all kinds of stuff. I'm looking over here.
Ryan Richardson's got just cases. Oh. That's a chest. That's a delicate cases. What they're called.
The chest of gear. We have three sets of golf clubs, travel bags, luggage. Equinox got great cargo space. They got hidden storage under the under the rear view floor, rear floor. So all kinds of room, Equinox has a big touchscreen, putt all your music maps and tech front and center.
“They are the supporters of this show, which is an excellent one today.”
So big thanks to the Chevy Equinox, which is your do it all. Go anywhere at SUV. Oh, great. I got a buddy of struggles with that shot. A lot of his names.
Frankie, but really.
So the guys actually gave him a nickname of "Budder Knives" because he looked.
He looked nice to the cups of the green. You've got to bring 90. We appreciate what you guys do for golf. It's been really cool. Thank you.
You're making it cool. I was like, "Hey, Phil, you only fucking $29.99." And he grabs a hundred. He's like, "Yeah, I won $90,000 in DCS today." You just take a hundred and you go fuck yourself.
What? What do you guys think of it? Oh. It's saying a hobby. All right, ladies and gentlemen, we have a very special guest today.
And I have paired another introduction. Wow. Oh my gosh. Yeah, he's the introduction. They're unbelievable.
All right. I've been on a little bit of a run with the introductions. All right. You ready? I'm ready.
Folks, our next guest is a young star on the PGA tour and beyond. He is one twice on the PGA tour. He's also one professionally on the D.P. World Tour and the Swedish tour. He's been a problem for us American golf fans. And he's been training victoriously for Team Europe in the 2023 and 2025.
Ryder Cubs, which included in 2023. A record shawlacking playing with Victor Havlin. A 97 victory over our dominant player, Scotty Schaffler. And Brooks Kepka. He is a Swedish handsome.
Adidas wearing. Athlete. We're happy to have him. Please welcome the Ludwig over. Yeah.
Thank you. We've just paid for our lunch. So we got him talk about this real quick. Okay. How did we end up here?
So we're here at the Pana-Vedra in in club. And you're a member here. Great. And we had a great match. Say we're not going to give away the result.
But after the match we're starving. We didn't eat anything. We're out there ferociously. We're fasting too. I'm fasting for like 18 hours today because we waited so long.
We got here for lunch. And as we're pulling up to the restaurant here, it's an awesome spot. We're looking at the 18th green there.
“You know, they're like, what's your, what's your member number or name?”
And we're like, we're not, we're kind of with him. And you went to the bathroom. So we were like, over. And they're like, okay. So they see this to the table.
The what? Yeah. They said this to the table. So we sit down. And I kind of, at that point, could kind of see something happening here.
Because there are clubs where like you can't just pay.
You have to have a membership number.
So anyways, we get over there.
And not only did the six of us sit down, which is like, we've got folks from India as we've got representation from Ludwig. We've got all of us, but also our whole production crew. They were set up the podcast equipment. So we not only ordered lunch for all of us, but we're like, hey, can we get a bunch of
to go orders for like four other people that need stuff. So they're bringing out stuff like you wouldn't believe. And as we're starting to close down or try to set up to the podcast, I kind of saw the guy, he's kind of me entering around a little bit. And I was like, hey, is there a way we could pay for this lunch with a credit card?
He's like, no, no, no, you got to have a member. No chance. I was like, no, we, is there any, he goes, well, you can go up to the front desk.
“You got to be staying at the hotel, or you have to be a member here at the club.”
So I kind of just looking around, Trent saw me looking around. Yeah, what was developing. And then one of you broke the ice was like, just so you know, love. I told him, you didn't know what, you didn't know the time. But you paid for our lunch.
Oh, you told him to get so awkward.
I know because we obviously, like, you're taking a lot of time. You're spending time with us filming a video, do the podcast. We obviously, we bought stuff for all our production crew. And then you just, you, you've been the bullet for us. Yes, who's credit card was on the account?
Yours. That's a credit card. They want you paid with that credit. I feel bad about that. Me too, bad about that.
Well, look, we appreciate you being on the show. To a long day. We've got their filming all day. Today, we did a scramble match. So I know people are going to absolutely love it.
You know, your young, you're only 20s. You've been on the tour for a couple of years. But coming out high right out of the gate, being thrown right into the right of
a cup, you're not ever kind of talking about my cart a little bit today.
But you feel like that helped you as a young player, turning professional that you were sort of put in, like, almost even above major championship pressure right out of the gate. Yeah, I think so. 100%.
Yeah, we kind of talked about it today a little bit. We're, I mean, yeah, it was what three months out of school when Rome happened, which is quite, like obviously now looking back. It's quite, you know, weird. It's quite, you know, tricky.
You guys still live in this college, don't you? I was still living in love with Rome at school. And, you know, it was, it was just crazy, right? And now I kind of looking back. I get what's.
“But I think the biggest thing for me was I was exposed to the best players in the world.”
And I felt like Luke Donald, he trusted me with everything, which meant the world to me, right? And he picked, he not only picked me to be on the team, but he picked me to play as well, played for sessions, which is crazy, right?
So like naturally, I feel such, you know, like I'm in debt to Luke Donald and his team for picking me in right above Europe, because all of a sudden, you know, I'm sitting like this to John Rom. Fleetwood and Roy, like all these guys, right?
Did I've watched on TV just a couple of weeks earlier, right? Which is nuts. And, you know, before you know what the best players do in the world, you don't know what's good, right? You don't know exactly what the best players do.
And I hadn't really been exposed to that up until that point. So that was the part that I took away a lot from that week, was like, man, I got to have conversations with those guys. I got to beat them, I got to play against them. Yeah, I definitely think that kind of propelled me through the rest of the woods.
So there are things that you took from that, like from those conversations in terms of preparation,
“how to get ready for a tournament, like those types of things?”
Yeah, absolutely. Yeah, just playing practice rounds with those guys, and, you know, oh, this is a chip shot, there is a rough shot from the fellow, you know, an orange shot from the rough, how do you do that? And how do you, you know, we talk a lot about match play,
and how you kind of use match play, because it's such a different dynamic, and such a different format. And it's just like the golf fan in me fucking loved it. You know, I thought that was the coolest thing ever, right? And then, you know, I was able to use that to my advantage too.
It was cool you were telling me today, too. We were talking a lot about the best-paid ride a cup, and you were saying, I think it was Saturday afternoon session where you weren't playing. Yeah.
And I had this unbelievable spot in, like, in your 15 sort of, like, green and 16, there was, like, 15, 16, 17. We were all right there, and you were like, just as a golf fan. It was in insane experience. I feel like you got, like, I would definitely get a vibe.
You have this, like, a child, like, golf fan. Yeah. Yeah, because, I mean, again, I love golf, right? And I love the sport. And I still get, you know, if I'm playing with someone,
they play amazing. I'm like, man, that was cool, you know? And I remember, like, I told you, I was sitting the Saturday afternoon session, and, you know, I would get a little bit of practice when the guys see it off, and then went out to watch the back nine.
And I found this great spot, just left at 15T box. So you watch 15. You can kind of see what's happening on the green. Yep. You see the guys coming down 16.
You see the 16 green clothes. Guys, 10 off on 17. You see, kind of see 17 green. And I was just, like, amazed by the level of play.
And, like, it was just class, class,
pots, made, approach, drives. You know, it was just, like, insane to just watch it. And, um, very, very inspirational for me. Yeah, being a part of that team. Uh, yeah, I feel like it's insanely fun for you guys.
I feel like your whole relationship with the rider cup. You know, like, I see all these, and we've had Keegan on the show, about for big, teegan fans. He's been awesome to us, front of the program. And, you know, he had kind of a famous answer afterwards.
So he's like, my relationship with the rider cup is like complicated. You know, and he's like, it's better sweet. And there's moments that, you know, he hasn't won one. And all that. I feel like your relationship with the rider cup is just, like,
like, but I'm like, you just start beaming in your life. Yeah. Yeah.
It's just that event that we always win.
Yeah. It's just great. I love this. Yeah. Yeah.
And I've had two great experiences. I'm glad sort of Rome was my first one in our best page. Yeah.
“I think naturally I was a little bit more kind of know what to expect.”
I think as in a way, rider cup as your first one is it's tricky. Because I've never been to one. I'd never seen it. You know, obviously watching on TV. But the atmosphere is different.
You know, it's not your normal tournament. It's not your normal feels and those things. So I felt a bit more prepared for a Beth page. But it's still tricky. And it's the coolest event.
It's so cool. You know, not only the players, but, you know, you've become pals with all the caddies and all the, you know, back room staff. And we had some cool people in the back room too. So, yeah.
It's a cool event. Yeah. I would guess too out of the gate. I mean, we talked about the beginning as a, as a pro. But like out of the gate.
I feel like it could probably be pretty intimidating for a lot of guys. We can and we got to show up to the range. For example, a private round. You see, rom and rory and all these guys for you coming out of the gate. Like those are your, those are like your family.
Like instantly. Yeah. Definitely after after Rome. I mean, you know, you missed out on the group chat, right? The WhatsApp group chat.
We were still texts. Then, you know, if someone's playing well or someone's winning a tournament, you know, everyone sends a well-done, congrats, whatever. So you're in the WhatsApp group chat. Yeah.
So you're. Swede's used messenger. Oh. Like Facebook messenger? No way.
I'm not massive on WhatsApp. But just for that. I keep back to you. You're huge on Facebook messenger. Yeah.
I don't use Facebook, but I use Facebook messenger. Yeah. Yeah. I can show him. The only time I ever was able to get ahold of Tommy Fleetwood.
Was on WhatsApp. Yeah. It was the strangest thing ever. Yeah. I was sent it.
And I was like, I don't know where that's going. Yeah. Yeah. There's no idea that's going to be a tournament. Did some happen?
Yeah. But yeah. What's happens? Something that Americans just don't eat? You know, isn't it?
Yeah. It's not really a cup of tea. In your whole, you know, the upbringing and the game of golf, when did you know that this was going to happen? Like when, when did something kind of collect where you're like, oh,
shit. I can do this. Yeah. We're actually talking about it today. Yeah.
I asked you like, would you know you were good? Yeah. He was on the course we were talking about.
“And I think when I came over through college,”
when I was, you know, 18, 19, whatever, I didn't come over thinking like, man, this is what I'm going to do for the rest of my life. This is the shit, you know. I probably felt like somewhere along my college years,
that I felt like, okay, this is might be something for me.
Because I always came over with the idea of like,
I just want to see how good I can come. And then how that translates. I don't know at this point, but hopefully, I've always, you know, known that I can play good golf. But playing college golf against the best amateur players.
And then got a few invites and tour events, which was really cool. And I think somewhere along probably my third year, second year, that's when I, okay, I can probably, you know,
play tour golf on a regular basis. What's that like growing up in Sweden, knowing that the best players are in America? Is it part of like everyone's ambition to like, you say like going over there to like,
that's such a leap of like faith in yourself, to go to another country across the world, and like leave your family and like go and just like play this sport. And even if you were like in business and like going to do that in America. Is that a part of like the culture where it's like,
that's where you go to make it or is that like, yeah, I think so.
“I mean, actually the PGA tour was over here, right?”
Yep, that was not moving. And the PGA tour is every little kid's dream. Like whatever you are and wherever you grow. That was like, that's the pinnacle. Absolutely growing up.
Absolutely. Wow. And I think college golf is so good that it doesn't make sense not to go to college. Yeah.
And if and I always viewed it as sort of a kind of a holistic experience rather than just the golf.
I always felt like, man, it's called to move abroad and live somewhere else. Speak a new language and meet new people and see new cultures and West Texas is different as Sweden. So it's pretty cool to see those differences, right? Yeah.
I would imagine so.
Well, it's actually time across my mind. Oh, it's true. Yeah.
“So naturally, I, I, from PGA, I always pulled pork.”
You know what I mean?
But I always felt like worst case just go home, you know, at least you've tried.
And at least you've had the experience of college and had the experience of a, the US and if it's not for you, then go home. Home is always going to be there. And anyone in your family dot it or either, my sister, she, see, I started it in 19. And she, she worked in New Jersey, New York for a year in 2016.
So she's been here for a year at that time. And she started the same fall that I started. She didn't exchange semester at Oklahoma State. So we kind of moved over both of us. But so we've always, you know, kind of didn't join the year.
I guess. Yeah, I'm interested in this. It's a take for granted. It's just like this is where we are. It's like, it's a big trip, right?
It's natural. It's always, I mean for 2030. I feel the way around us. Right. If like the only podcasting opportunity was in Sweden.
It'd be like, I have better make sure I'm fucking good at this thing. Because I'm going all the way over there. Right. It's insane. I'm not sure I would have ever left home.
Right. Like it's a big leap. Huge balls. Yeah. It feels like six, three, right?
Six, three. Six, three. Yeah. Six, three. Me and Trent were same.
I love it in three fours. I love it in three fours. What is it? Trent said his doctor tried to get the team.
Because my doctor would always be like, no, you're six foot.
And I'm like, I'm not taking that from here. I'm not taking it. With shoes on. Yeah. Yeah.
Golf swing wise. Who went, did you? Growing up. Like it feels like you looked at exactly what a golf swing supposed to look like. And then just did that.
Um, I never tried to emulate a swing. I never tried to swing a certain way. Um, I. From growing up, I've seen old swing videos from like when I was 10, 11. And I still sort of bite the same things then as now.
Um, I look like you're fighting. What's the fight? Well, I tend to like not really rotate my lower body. My hips get kind of swayed a little bit. My arms gets quite high in the cross and then it kind of underneath it.
Like this. I used to play like big swinging draw when I was younger. Just to like get it out there. Um, so it on a freaking string. So like naturally it's funny when I see it because I can see the same tendencies.
But I never really felt like hell on a swing like this guy.
Because I always felt like everyone's different. Like everyone's bodies are different. You know, I might move it a certain way. And, you know, he might move it a different way. And that's going to produce different things.
So, um, I always felt like just do you sort of thing. There are anyone out there on tour that you like love their golf swing something. It's like so appealing to you. Yeah, I think there's, there's a lot of guys. I love the way Michael Thorgerson hits the draw.
Um, because he really turns and gets into his right side and kind of like hits a high draw that way. Um, I think that looks really nice. We played with it. We did a little video with him. Oh, you didn't.
Yeah. And Carl Villips. Yeah. Dorgerson was like, shocking and how much he could move the ball. He's a good player.
Yeah, he's a good player. Um, yeah, I could see, I could see that. That is like a very, you want that move. To me, like, that's like a good draw. You know, like there's definitely ways of playing a draw.
And like the way that he kind of does it with his body is really appealing to me. Is that is the draw, like, making a huge comeback on the, in the program, in the program. Because I feel like there's like the butcharm in days of like, you know, DJ never hitting anything. But like a little cut and like it was all about really just keeping it straight as much as now. I don't know.
I mean, I think in anything there's going to be trends up and down.
“You know, but I think the most important thing as as a player is just to know your own DNA and kind of what works for you.”
Um, I mean, I've heard stories of the DJs first eight years on tour. I never played a fade and then all right, I need you switched. Yeah, which is insane. Yeah. Praise, which is fucking crazy.
Yeah. And you've seen the golf courses for eight years only doing this and all of a sudden. Okay. And then do the other way. Oh.
Um, it's mind blowing to me. Now to compare myself with DJ. I'm doing the opposite. You're not. I'm not.
Because I've been hitting faith. I've heard that. Well, my whole life. I wouldn't even calm fades man. You went from slices to tight draws.
Yeah. It's like, you know, this was dude. That's how much of a transformation it's been. It was legitimately aim over the houses and we know you'll be in the fairway. Yeah.
And now it's like, if there's a right bump, a bunker on the right side of the fairway. Like aim at the right edge of that and bring it back in on a tight shrink. It's, it's so much more fun to hit draws. Oh, I just really enjoyed that process. It looks fun.
Yeah. It's just, yeah, you're piping. But there's no like consensus right now amongst like the best players in the world.
“I'm like, what's a better ball flight to be able to hit, right?”
things based off of whatever course you're at, whatever it says. Yeah, I feel like the cut.
I feel like the cut's probably still pretty predominant out there.
I mean, yeah, it's probably the one that most people go to, right? You were turning, I feel like you can turn it both ways when you're pretty. Yeah, I was telling you, I feel like I play my best when I can do both. I feel like when I get restricted and I can only do one, that's when I don't like it. Um, so I can, I want to be standing on a tee box and man, I want to turn this over. But I want to hold this one or cut it or whatever. Um, so I, I naturally feel better when, when I can do that.
So, and that's kind of how I see golf. Like, I try to shape the ball. I want to move it a little bit, not much, but tendency, right? Yeah, get a little bit artistic out there. Augusta. Augusta calls for that big time. Yeah, does. It does. I mean, Augusta is a very visual golf course,
“where the tree line kind of guides you a certain way. That's why it's got you so good there,”
because you can do that. Tiger is so good there. Um, and I like to think that I can do both as well. There's a few T balls that we talked about today, like one fade, two draw, you know, five draw, six, seven fade. So, like, it kind of makes you do a little bit of that. Very visual players tend to
play well with it. I mean, you finish second and then seventh. You've only played in its
voice. What is it about that golf course you love? Um, I mean, we kind of touched on it a little bit before. It's like, I love history. Um, and Augusta is like the place for that. It's your love golf history. I mean, what better place in the world than that. So, um, I mean, I was just there last week, and we were kind of walking in the clubhouse and in the locker room. They have these like old aerial pictures on the wall. So, like 1920, for the golf course, even open, there's this vineyard.
And then it's like, this, you can see like that's number one T bucks. And that's like eight down there.
“Like, I love that. I think that's so cool. And you remember all the shots and all the iconic”
hola and, you know, chips. To me, like, that's, that's why we play golf. That's period the game. And that's why I like coming there. Being so knowledgeable of the history and geeking out about so much doesn't that, I mean, obviously it doesn't because you've had such good finishes there, but like, does it affect you when you're there? Like knowing that you can make your own mark in that history that you're obsessed with? Like, that's a good question. I've never really thought
it out. Oh, sorry about that. Yeah. I could do it. Yeah. I could be the history. Yeah.
We talked to Scott before he won his first one. So, we're, I'd give. We got to talk and he will never
give me the credit because he has to answer my text and I was going to give me his phone number. But like, I remember it was a week leading up to it. And I'm like, you will look back when you're 60 years old and you're going to be like, that was the time of my life. And I want X amount of events. I want to put on the green jacket. I'm like, you're about to go, have a chance to go do that. Like, this is the time of your life. I'm saying that you're right now. That's true. You're like embarking
on this incredible journey. This is the only your third master. It's like, you have so much opportunity there. That's got to feel so cool. You've yet to do it. Like, this is it. This is the moment. Yeah. Absolutely. I mean, it's, uh, it's a, it's the coolest golf tournament in the world. And, um, like he should just say in it. Yeah. It was a good little. Yeah. Speak. Yeah. Yeah. We're all fired up. Just call me Thursday morning. I'll give you
that same call. Like, you're going to walk those all the way. You're looking at those photos. It's going to be you one day. Yeah. You look great in the green jacket. What are you going to be wearing? You know, we know where we wear a deetus. Um, yeah. Some, um, a deetus obviously.
“Oh, we saw this thing here. We saw that. Yeah. I think so. And I want to meeting. We saw the”
Ludwig. Oh, he did December in December. Yeah. You're going on at the spring collection. Like, a little, you know, maybe down south. And of course, we couldn't, like, say exactly where I was going to be. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. No, it's good stuff. I think you do. Are you like, um, when you're out there, you practice around right now as much planned. Like, are you aware of a lot of, like, do you know when remember a lot of the historicals, like,
shops that have been hit on these holes? Um, yeah. I mean, I think trees on 13. But I think it's more. Yeah. And I think of, I think of Rory's shop from last year. Yeah. When we played in
the second round when he, in the back right pain, when he hit it right at the pin. And I'm
standing, because I missed the front. I laid up. I'm like, he don't, right at the pin. Uh, he did. And he did. And he did. He did. Um, he did. He did. Yeah. He made it three. Um, I had a bit way left. Yeah. But I think more so during, like, practice rounds. And like, when I was there last week, I went with a buddy. And we can kind of reminisce and talk about different shots. And like, that's where he hit that. And but during tournament, you, you know, it's tournament,
right? So like, naturally, you, I'm in a different frame of mind. And during the tournament,
I'm not, I'm not really there to, you know, laugh and giggle really.
You just mentioned bringing your friend last week. You got to tell that story, what you
“did for him. Yeah. So I had a, uh, it was so funny. I had a buddy from Sweden. We grew up playing”
golf together. Um, he's a couple of years old with me. And he came over for players and hung
out and stayed and watched the tournament. It was the first time in the U.S. But he's never
ever, it's never been to the U.S. Wow. Oh, my god. What a trip of the show. And so he went to Sargress and watched the tournament and, you know, player dining and all these things. And it was really cool. And then the week after we took a few days off, it took Monday off, didn't do anything. And then Tuesday night, he's like, how do you think, you know, we went play golf Tuesday and then Tuesday night, he goes, do you think we can go play golf tomorrow again? And I hadn't told him and
I'd plan this trip to Augusta on Wednesday. And I'm like, I got to tell him some funny way. Like, I have to like, get the message across and like a good funny way. And I'm like, yeah, you know, by the way, we're actually going to Augusta tomorrow. And he like fell apart. And, um, and this was
like, I don't know, seven o'clock Tuesday night. Oh, my, um, so yeah, we went to Augusta the day after
it was so nervous. He, he was like, I woke up at three and I couldn't go back to sleep, but it was so like, what a surprise. It was really cool. Hey, go to bed, you're waking up to my were playing Augusta National. So cool, man. Walk to America. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. What a good friend. What a good surprise that is. He's like, yeah, my boy, I grew up playing golf with his just like Ludwig over. Yeah, he can just take it to Augusta.

Wow. This is on comfort. Traction and stability while offering an athletic silhouette highlights of the shoe include infinity traction, the combination of thin text max cleat on the ad wear rubber outsole platform power planes, part of the infinity traction. These things are just absolutely you're in frame here. Look at these shoes. You got here Ryan. I kind of got you guys going with mine today. Well, you're just have a little bit of yours have a hint of football in them.
I feel athletic with that. But like something about that color scheme reminds me of soccer. And it's very, and it's not a bad thing. It's super athletic. It's like that nice stripe of athletic blue that's coming in that blue and the black is a great combo. I am looking for a huge fan of the Audie power. These are the best golf shoes that I've put on. I mean, they really legitimately just, when you put them on your foot just gets snugged and just completely covered by comfort ability.
It really snuck as a bug in a rug and they are just great. Then these ones have the spikes on the bottom of them. So they're very, very grippy and I just, yeah, I've loved the Audie
powers ever since I first saw them when we went out to Carlsbad and checked out the new lineup
for the 2026 season. Couldn't believe that these were coming out and I'm super happy to finally have them on. And new for the Audie power, this cushioning, the repetitive midsole cushioning helps provide energy return with a softer and lighter situation. Audie power returns as a force on the course by offering golfers power from the ground up. “of that golfers can play perform and repeat. What do you remember from those, like, especially”
two years ago, when it was tight, it was, like, you Max Homa Scotty coming down the stretch, making the turn, going into, like, amen corner. And it was just such a cool battle, like,
What, for you, especially at a young age, it was your first major championshi...
do you kind of remember, if you learned from those, like, feelings of what that was like on the
“second nine at a gust though? Yeah, I think so. I think the, it was the first time that I really,”
because, you know, players talk about, like, because no one's on their phones, right? So no one, if you're not looking at the leaderboards, you don't really know what the standings are. Yeah. And I remember walking down 10, and, like, short left of 10 green, there's a big leaderboard, and someone did something, and they changed the numbers, and everyone just went nuts. And I think someone made a birdie, someone made a bogey, someone like that, it was a big switch, and I thought
that was really cool. And yeah, it's a, it's a, it's a cool place, because you can kind of hear what's going on. There's different types of roars, there's different types of crowds, that was a par roar, that was a birdie roar, that was a bogey roar. So you kind of, like, have an idea of what's happening,
pieces and stuff together, like, yeah. And, and I love, you know, I always watch leaderboards,
and I always want to know where I'm standing in the tournament. So naturally, for me, that was really cool. Like, I've heard about it, but I never experienced it. Um, and, uh, and yeah, it's a cool place to play golf. Yeah. Do you own the option? Right. Oh, I'm not insane. Do you, like, I hear all these, you know, like, I've heard Tiger talk about, he sat down decades ago with Jack and told Jack, like, I just can't figure out how to, like, make birdie on three in Jackie and, like,
he has not a birdie hole. He's supposed to make par on. Yeah. Like, do you, do you, do you
“choke a lot of that stuff it in and buy into a lot of that type of stuff for, um, I think so. I think”
there are certain shots and certain holds. You just have to play a certain way. And if it happens, it happens, um, you know, like, number five, number three is just, yeah, five is a hard, hard grain, and, um, three is that way too. I mean, these days, everyone's probably going to bang driver, and it's a little bit like 10 at rift where it's like, if you are in a good spot, then you can go for it. But if you're not, just take your par and get out of there, even though it's the shortest
time, of course. Um, and, uh, but it's, it's cool to, like, pull those shots off too. You know, it's, you know, like, a right pin on six, and you hit a nice little flight of cut, or like, that top shell, it's bright pin on 12. You just hit a nice one middle grain, and it's like nothing spectacular, but it's like, that was pretty cool. You know, like, uh, or second shot on 13 with the balls like this, and you kind of rope it in there. It's, um, yeah, it's a cool place.
On 12, what's been like the disparity between clubs that you've used, uh, like, what's like, have you gone from a seven iron to a nine iron? Yeah, I think it's somewhere on the other side.
I don't think I've hit seven yet. Okay. I think it's always been some sort of nine or eight.
Okay. Most of the time when I've been there has been, you know, swirling like it does, and I always tend to fly the, the ball down a little bit, um, and just got a middle bunkers and take it. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. One of those conversations like with scoff, like, just trying to get the wind right down there, because man, year after year after year, maybe the most fun thing in golf viewing is watching people just to make it 11. They're looking at it. Wow. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, it does swirl. It does.
It's, and it's really tricky. It's, uh, and I remember we talked about that before I played my first one, because my first one, the first couple days, I don't know if you remember it, but it was really windy. Yeah. I do. Um, like it was howling, like blowing 20, 20, 30. Yeah. Um, so like the amount of times we hit a shot that was literally, you know, two windows down just to take that out. Um, is that one of the wind was blowing the sand out of the, yeah, on the ground. Yeah. Tiger on the green. I think
that afternoon way I've got. Yeah. Um, that's a great. It was insane. Yeah. Tiger played in that didn't it? Yeah, I did. Yeah. Yeah. Um, where people's hats were flying off on the green. Yeah. Yeah. He's out there trying to play that golf for us. Yeah. It was. Yeah. Um, kind of places cool. What do you think about 13 now is it? Is it, um, I mean, obviously have lengthened it. We've seen it for a
“couple of years now. Is that, do you need to hit like a really good T shot? You'd be able to get home or”
yeah. When, when I was there just now, a couple of weeks or a couple days ago, um, it was basically
no wind. I hit a driver for, um, to a back middleish pin. So it's nothing crazy, um, but I mean, before you would see guys, it's sling at three wood and have a six iron in or whatever. So it's, it's obviously a little bit different, but if it's into the wind, it's too pretty good posts to get there, um, especially because you don't want to cut that left side too much. Um, so if you bail out a little bit right, then all of a sudden you got to 16 and right to 70. So, um, yeah, you know,
what a whole lot of that is. There might be like the coolest one in the world. It's a cool hole. It's a really cool. Yeah. What, uh, like from a golf course perspective, I know we're talking about
Quite a bit in the car.
get you going, you know, like obviously that hole or time of how that's what the holes in the world, but like, do you have certain holes? Like, do you think about 18 and like pebble or do you think I mean, I know you've won a tour, do you think about it? Yeah. There's certain holes. You think about that you're like, God, that's just an unbelievable golf hole. I, um, yeah, I like golf courses in general that are quite straightforward, um, that you kind of know what to do, but it's still hard.
Yeah. Yeah. And, um, tour is a perfect example of that. Like, you see the lanes of the fair, when you're like, there you go. It's right there, but you still got to hit it. Um, but then I also like, I mean, certain holes out of Gus, so just absolute genius, like number 10, where it's like,
“you have to hit this one shape and if you take it on and you kind of get down to the left side,”
you get a flat line to the green that goes up this way. But if you bail it out a little bit, you got ball above your feet to a green that goes this way and writes dead. You know, so like, there are certain dose kind of things. I absolutely love that. Um, I love, um, memorial, or mirrored, because in other course, it's sort of like, just because it's right. You know, like, number three, it's like, um, five wood seven wood to a decent, like wide fairway, but you have to
hit it otherwise you're struggling to make four. And then you have a skinny green that goes this way. And if you bail out left, you have an impossible lung shell, short rides water. So like, it's just right there, but it's a pitching wedge. And it's, uh, a dude like those courses, saw a rest is one of them too, where it's quite straightforward. Um, I don't know. Maybe that was going to get taken off your list. Yeah. I like to, I don't like that. I just think that guy is a good
chick from a socks. Yeah, who designed that 11. Yeah. No, I still love saw it as thing is one of the, it's a top five golf course. Well, we played it like three weeks for the tournament. Yeah, I shot 300 out there. It was so hard, man. But it's a great golf course. Yes. It's a great golf course. What'd you learn from that experience? Um, yeah. I thought, you know, what I thought was really positive was I felt like early in the year. I kind of got off to a poor start. Uh, I didn't play
well, uh, Paul Springs, I pulled out because I didn't feel like, I felt like shit, tore out play like terrible. Like the worst I've played ever. I felt like, and then it kind of had well, we got a little bit better. We've got a little bit better and then Bay Hill the week before. I thought, okay, this is nice. You know, I feel like I'd be another golf course. You kind of like, yeah, I do like Bay Hill because it's hard. Um, and, and then, uh, obviously, it players, I felt like,
okay, I'm, I'm, I'm playing to the point where I can win any tournament. Um, so that to me was really
nice and really kind of assuring to me that like, you don't have to play amazing, but you still put
yourself in that position and, you know, you put yourself out there and sometimes you win, sometimes you don't, um, but I felt like at least, you know, I gave it what I had and I loved being in that spot in that position. And, um, would I have done it a little bit different, maybe, but I still like that a hedge run to a home, I still like that I went for it on 11, you know. Um,
“but I would have, I think looking back, I would have loved to slow things down a little bit. I think”
it's almost like, you get slapped and then you look up to 20 minutes later and you're forward back, you know, what happened there? You know, and, um, and that's kind of how it felt playing, from playing pretty good golf or, you know, majority of the tournament to making a few mistakes and then you get punished and then you look back, you know, oh, I can't win it more. It's insane how like, often this year and just a general and golf tournament, we've kind of seen that play out,
like that feeling you just described, I feel like we could all feel that as a viewer and everybody gets play golf has felt that to their own relative experience. Yeah. Whereas like anybody who's
trying to shoot their career low and break 90 for the first time, it's been like cruising,
and then they hit one shot where they're like, oh, what the fuck was that? And then they sort of, you look up 10 minutes later and they're like 20 over par. Yeah, what happened? Yeah, you said after the round that you felt like you didn't have your stuff the whole day, but like you were fighting it and it was working out, right? And then at the point it was just too much to yeah, I think I think so. I mean, obviously, I felt like Thursday Friday, I was swinging it
really nice. So it's hitting the shots that I wanted to Saturday got a little bit worse, but also what I liked about that was even if you're going to win a 70 tool stroke, but you're not going to play amazing for 72 holes, right? You're going to have a stretch where you might have to get the ball
“up and down a little bit. You have to make a few par plots or whatever. And I felt like I did that”
you know, first part of Saturday and then kind of first part on Sunday too. But then yeah, you know, had that little right miss with a summer would a few times that week that definitely hurt me. But shot on 11. Yeah. Yeah. So like it was annoying because I had done it twice on four,
which is probably the most important for me to hit on the golf course. Yeah, we talked about that whole
Lot of it.
time yesterday, right? You were, yes, I was exactly. So I missed that very three times, which is tough. Sort of. And then they kind of came back up on that whole. But you know, so we've talked that length that has been a common story on tour this year with guys having leads and then other guys chasing them down. Like, now that you've been on kind of like both sides of it, is it much harder to play with a big lead? Do you feel like your game changes? I know you said
that you can go back and wish you could change something. Like, did you actually, do you have you now notice like how different it is like going chase someone where it's like the governor's off. And you can just kind of go ball to the wall as opposed to like, let's hang on and win this thing. Yeah. Um, I think yes, I know. I think, I mean, naturally, you know, I went out Sunday morning or Sunday afternoon, thinking like, I want to six out late. You know, right? Because I think it's
easy to kind of get in that little comfort situation where it's like, I just need to hold on. And
“but sargras is not a place where we can hold on. You know, you have to stripe it all the way to 18”
green. And before the round on Sunday, I almost felt like that gave me a little bit of comfort that like, I can't slap it around. Right. Then I'll get exposed like that. Uh, which I did, but going into a aggressive man exactly, right? And I thought, you know, to me, yeah, it is a little bit different leading tournament, but it doesn't change the way you play a certain golf course. I think. The right mindset for sure. You said you wish you would maybe just like slow things down a little bit.
Like, what does that practically look like out there on the golf course? Uh, yeah, it could be just, I walk a little bit slower to the wall. Uh, take a few more extra tips. Go to the bathroom, take a piss. You know, because it's easy to, that's my tendency to when I play golf in general that I do things fast. You know, I walk fast. I talk fast. I do all these things fast, but sometimes it gets too fast, you know, and sometimes I have to tell myself to slow down a little bit. And I think, you know,
I probably lost control for 30 minutes or so, and just got way too quick with not only the way I was
“walking, but obviously the way I was thinking and the way I was handling things and, and that's what bothers me a”
little bit, not necessarily that I missed the shot. Everyone's going to miss shots. Yeah. Um, but just that, you know, that little 30 minutes spell was, was bothering me. For sure. So many is when I did that fixing I did a series fixing Frankie because you saw him some of my chips today and it's not good seeing, right? I went to it. It was what early. Went to it. Yeah, went to it. That's what I call it. Yeah, mental golf mental coach is just did it. Dr Brett McCabe, he works with a couple of guys on tour and
he said the same things, obviously it's not the same situation, but like twitchy and fast, and like I always
want to motor through things, especially with like my process, and he had written on one of my gloves, like he wrote process on it, and then said for me, like to undo my glove as I'm walking out of the car, just like that second of having to like redo the glove might just like slow you down mentally. So it's so it's interesting to hear you say that. It's like just find anything to just like slow that process down where it's not just grabbing a club, finding a number and hitting the ball.
It's like I have to think like, oh, let me just like revelker this thing on. Yeah. Yeah. No, it's it's cool. Same thing. Yeah. Yeah. Absolutely. You would never think that that would
make a difference, but like that one second of thought of something else aside from this next golf shot,
reset something, and especially in the guy like this, like how good they are, it might be all you need.
“Yeah. Absolutely. And so you can steal that one if you want to use it. Thank you. Yeah. How's Joe in”
like in those situations, or even after, you know, like after 12 or whatever, whenever you guys do you guys have like a conversation during that background? Yeah. I mean, Joe was great. He's he was very encouraging. You know, I remember, you know, walking off a few holes and he goes, you know, I think we're on obviously, I think I made Bowie on 15 and that kind of, you know, deflated me a little bit. And I think he could tell that I was a little bit deflated naturally. And he goes, man, just let's just
finish off with five good points. And it's literally it, right? Five good points. And I hit the fair amount of 16. He goes, four more. Yeah. But no, Joe, Joe is, I mean, I can trust Joe with everything I have. And yeah, I love having him next to me when I play well. Great. It's a nice tournament, too, for what I mean, he's won there with Ricky. So that's what I can tell him. Kind of like,
that's pretty cool. Like him retelling stories of that. And I always like to ask those questions.
Because obviously, I'll probably watch that at some point. And, you know, he talked about, you know,
How loud it was when he hit it on 17.
you're in the playoff. Because it was so loud and so deafening. Wow. That like, I have no clue how
“we made up, but pretty cool. I got to hype you up. Like, it's me like hyped up. Yeah, it doesn't”
know. Yeah, it is funny how quick things can happen in golf, man. Like, it is just like, it,
my first thought goes to like, speed on 12 and 2016 at Augusta, when it's like he's leading,
like, four or five shots. They show the screenshot. And then they're like 30 minutes later, they show the screenshot of leaderboard and he's like three back. Yeah, they will. And it's just like, fuck, I don't know where to hide out there. Oh, he can't go anywhere else. Like, it's just me now. I know you got Joan. He is great, but like, you're just like, it's just me. Well, it's not like any other sport where you watch baseball or football and like the biggest play to win them the game,
which like, for you would be like getting through 11, 12, 13 and getting to that like score, both 16th hole, whatever it might be. Like, for a baseball player, it might be getting up with runners on first and second in the seventh inning with no outs and like he strikes out. Goes to the dugout. A couple of people would be like, oh, I wish he would put it in play, but like, he has another guy to pick him up after that. So like, for you guys, if you really literally, like, if you just
don't have it or one mistake happens, it's so exposed because it's like, I have to be the one to now go pick myself up after that bad shot. So it makes golf. The hardest sport to be. So that's
“what makes it so cool, too. I think that's why I was drawn to golf because it's all in your own hands”
and not only in tournament situation, but in your practice and in your prep and your training, it's, uh, because I played a lot of football or soccer growing up and that was a team sport, which is different. Um, and that's why I love golf because I'm not going to blame anyone. You know, I'd take full responsibility of everything that's happening, whether it's good or bad. So I think that's why we all love golf and it's the coolest sport in the world. Absolutely.
Yeah, you, there's no, yeah, you don't blame anybody else. It's just yourself. It's you in the golf ball. It is weird how there's like no, there's no defense. You have to be, there's no, like, no one's tackling you. No, you're tackling yourself. Yeah, holding on. You're out there tackling yourself. Yeah. It's like, I don't know how it's not moving. How have we got tackled? You got dominated there by the police. Yeah. When you came out today,
we have a sheriff. Yeah. Who's that? They just sort of stopped by a lot of people. I mean,
“obviously, you're super star. So like, people got, they caught wind. Uh, uh, uh,”
uh, what was happening? Uh, me, and the sheriff took her as you go over and they're looking at us. You know, there's some golf going on. They were quite a few like random stuff. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It was a great match. They're awesome golf ball players. I'll say. Really cool, to, of course. Yeah. We're talking a little bit about this area. You know, you have coming over from Sweden. You kind of like finish up school, turn pro. Uh, what were like the main factors
that made you decide to hear over some of the other hotbeds for pro golfers? Uh, yeah. So I turned pro in 23, and I got done with school. I'm in school in, in public, West Texas. Um, and I was doing up there about it. Uh, it's a good question. Um, but there has actually been a lot of Scandinavia's in the past at tech. Um, a lot of, you know, I'm real scoured out there in Scandinavia.
And we were always, we're always like 50, 50 internationals Americans on the team. Um,
so when I got recruited, we had two suites on the team that I could talk to and, um, made it quite easier for me to transition. Um, but, uh, so I stayed in Lovic six months after I got done, and, um, and then I, I probably knew that I wanted to move to Florida at some point. It, I've always just liked Florida. It's good for golf. It's, deals a little bit closer to home, if you will. And, um, it's, uh, it just made sense. I,
but I didn't really know where. And, uh, so I moved in with Vincent Norman, my friend, and he's a four to stay guys. So he lived in Tallahassee. So I lived there for about 10 months, probably told me about that. Yeah. It was cool. I deal games where you guys do it. Uh, yeah, we're just hanging out playing golf, practicing, um, hanging out at the house. Like, it's kind of was just hanging, did it a while while he was like, it was cool. It was great. Yeah. Um, and, uh, we've got a football
games, we're going to go, you know, to tell. It was great. Uh, there's a hell of a spot to be. It's been in the Morrison Classic, then he's not like winning the year season. He's just hanging
with his boy. Yeah. Um, listen in a hip hop. Yeah. Absolutely. Um, so yeah. And then, uh, I've always
liked Pondavitra. I've always, uh, played like junior players here in 2018 and played some other events. And I've always just liked it. So I can't create anything for me. Like, it's our favorite part of Florida. It's mine for me. I love it. South Florida for me just gets a little bit too much and it's like a little like it's fake and it's not realistic. And yeah, exactly. I told you, I tried it for a year and I was like, something from the Northeast, like something about
the Jacksonville area, this this area specifically like feels a little northeast and you know what's funny? We were, we stayed in Airbnb during the players. I'm like, even the trees remind me of the
Northeast and someone told, yeah, tried that like they can't naturally grow p...
because of like the weather sign. You palm tree that you'd see with has been like brought and like oh, yeah. Well, someone told me one time, um, the further north you go and Florida, further south you go in the US. Wow. So the further away from Jupiter, West Palm, North Florida, the closer you're out to the southern hospitality. Right. It's all, yeah. I can see that. So like, it's more that way. It feels that way. It feels that way. Yeah, for sure. Yeah. Like, I just the people were so unbelievably
like the restaurant went to last night. Great. It's staff. They were just so insane. Went to the right next door. The 19. Well, yeah, it was really good rooftop. They got it rooftop. Yeah, we sat
inside because it was like a hurricane happening outside. It was always, every time we come to Florida,
we get terrible weather. Yeah, we brought one up again. That's street. I'm on a bad street of packing my bag. I can rush to go to the airport and just assuming I'm going to Florida. So I just pack like a polo and just a t-shirt. And then I got here at the airport following this morning. Yeah, it's been bad. If there's a tournament that's really windy, I'm betting on you because you live in this place. It's always windy when I'm here. Love it because windy too. Yeah, right. That's
very windy. Yeah, bigger. You got to be like an unbelievable wind, but you're going to be at the never really playing the wind. That's the thing. Yeah, you guys don't. What kind of golf did you grow up playing in home? Like is it like a lot of water on the golf horse? Is it like a little
wild? Not really. I live in in the south of Sweden. It's very flat, very open, very windy.
And the golf courses are, you know, parkling courses, nothing crazy. Not only quite short, so if I go back and play my home course today, you know, tournament wise, I probably wouldn't hit many drivers, but when I do now, I just hit driver everywhere. And it's like cutting the corner, hitting over that bush, turning it over on that tree, you know, and kind of fiddling it a little bit, which is really fun. Which is really fun. Yeah, which is really fun. Yeah, usually you can
“make the shot happen. Yeah, and it's like now when I think about it, it's like, we're three is”
a fade. Five's a draw. Six is a draw, you know, like, I got that. Yeah, yeah. It's got almost something to go through. Very right. I'm trying to say that course. But yeah, there's a lot of different golf courses. There's, you know, forest courses. There's open links, a little bit further south. And some, some really good ones. Bar sit back. For example, it's 20 minutes away, which is a tournament golf course. Yeah, that's good. You're a huge fan of IKEA, which is no
surprise to any of the listeners. You didn't light up when he said that. He, he'd run that by me a little bit. He's like, I bring up IKEA. I'm talking to someone who's from Sweden and almost feels like offensive. He's like, hey, do you like a kid? He's like, I love. Yeah, fucking love it. Yeah, you just love buying furniture and just building at your house. Uh, yeah, we, well, when we moved in, we went straight and just got like all the plates and the glasses and cutlery. And so
we're in all these things. Yeah, it's good stuff. He just loves IKEA. Do you know that? There's really nothing like over there. Grab a meatball in the way out. Great speech. Yeah. Yeah, absolutely. When I was younger, he was the, um, yeah, he was Swedish golf. He put Sweden on the map on the
“golfing map. Um, he, I mean, I still remember, you know, certain tournaments he played, watching,”
I remember when he won race to Dubai in 13, you know, both buddies helping race to buy same year. I remember the open in 16 obviously, I remember he'll do almost winning Rio. So like, yeah, there's a lot of those moments around like, man, that was really cool. Um, and uh, yeah, it didn't what he's done for Swedish golf and is doing for Swedish golf is something that I aspire to do as well. We're in tight ass shirts to out there. Let's great. Look, he looks great.
A big dude. Followed new. Probably, yeah, a little bit. Do you know him at all? Um, yeah, it was a bit unfortunate. I kind of when when he went over to live and start playing there, I kind of it was
right when I turned pro. So like, we never really played the same events. Um, but if I see him,
like obviously, I'll all speak to him and he text, we text every now and then, but nothing crazy. But uh, yeah, I love him. He's cool. Live had to have had their eyes on you. No, you are.
“Uh, yeah, I think so. I mean, um, I got, I got some offers when I was still in school. Um,”
but, uh, you know, I was with Butler at the time as well. Still and Sarah and Butler was get the, let's get the detail. Yeah. Um, but I was pretty straightforward and honest from the start that I wasn't really interested. Um, I, again, just from this conversation at 100 versus love the history of the game. So like, to me, that just wasn't in that lane that wasn't even all Singapore do. There's a lot of fun. Yeah. But it's good. Um, that's so cool to hear though,
Man, because like, as golf fans, we want the players that we're watching root...
to we want to believe that they have that interest in the P.G. door and like, it's not just
about the money and it's not just about like the fame and all the stuff that comes with it. It's, it's genuinely about like wanting to win on that tour and win the same trophies and hoist the same trophies and where the same jackets is all of these people before you, because that's just like what history and sports watching is all about, right? Yeah. Naturally. For us as a fan, we don't get anything if you win the players or the masters, whatever. We just
“get to enjoy watching you achieve something. And I feel like that's what live doesn't”
understand of like the fan aspect. Like we want to watch something that really, really matters to you. And to hear you say that on the show of like how much you care about the game, the game and the historical sense is, uh, and for that to actually be truthful and come and come out in a sense of like,
I'm not going to that other tour. Yeah. Like you actually acted on that. That's, that's really cool.
An admirable honestly. Don't big time. Yeah. It's awesome. You need guys like that to be like, no, I'm like, I love this and this is what's worth it. It has to exist for it to be for a fan like as cool as it can be. Correct. You know, otherwise, if this doesn't exist, you guys would just out there for that while we're watching it. You know what I mean? Like, we want to know that that like drives you to to play well, because that's why we're watching it.
Yeah. And there's, you know, obviously golf, there's so many little stories too, right? Like, if you're watching a tournament, there's all these little stories about previous tournaments or, you know, little, you know, just making the cut on Friday. That's a big deal. You know, like, there's so many different store lines that you can follow. And, um,
“yeah, I think that's what makes it cool. Talk to me about the history of the deetus. Like,”
how did that all come about? Obviously, you're like head to toe. You're the deetus guy. Like, when you think of a deetus, it's a lot vague. Like, how did this all kind of, uh, yeah. I mean, obviously, I've had a deetus stuff since I was a little kid and um, I live up towards the deetus. When I was in my peak, so we were naturally had a lot of live up for a deetus guy. There's a walk alone. Um, and uh, and then, um, my, let's see if I get it right, my last year of college,
uh, I was able to have an NIL deal with one NIL kind of a story becoming a thing. Um, yeah, it was kind of the, the, the start of the NIL space. And I was able to kind of sneak in there on the, an NIL and um, and, um, and so I was with the deetus from my last year of college. Obviously, not college events, but any other like we went to the U.S. Amateur. I was in the deetus. And, uh, it just felt like a really natural fit. You know, I love the, the clothes. I love the, like,
we were talking today. I love being able to go from the golf course to a restaurant. And you don't look like a weirdo. You know, like, um, I love the, the casual stuff. I love the hoodies. You know, like, just the normal original stuff is great. So, uh, I feel like, um, and, and, you know, it was just so natural to me. And I cannot see myself wearing anything else. Yeah, it's also become just like you're part of you now. Like when someone sees you on a golf course, it's so,
like it's so obviously Ludwig, you just see the deetus on you. And it's, uh, it's really cool to see. It's also, when we signed with the deetus, it was like, now we get to be one of his teammates. That's insane. We start getting pamphlets of pictures of you. We're like, we're supposed to look like that. Of course I mean, they're like, oh, you kind of look like the same. No, it's, it's interesting because
“it's like, well, I mean, it looks great in the original stuff. That's what it is. Yeah, it's fantastic. Yeah.”
No, that was really cool. So it was really cool. Yeah. And you said to me, like, I tell you,
you were like, I don't necessarily always like to look super golfy. Yeah, with all your
thoughts, you know, where you're like, I just always like, whatever that, you having other options. Have another look and I feel like you pull that off insanely well. Made with real iced tea and real vodka made with real lemonade and real vodka. Perfect for the golf course. No bubbles to fill you up or get you bloated, just one gram of sugar in a hundred calories plus four and a half percent ABB so you can keep it flowing all day long. Sun,
loser. Creeper, loser, loser. These things are making real ways. People I talk to they're like, they maybe they try it for the first time and like, these are fantastic. It's laughable how good they are. And you say it's got the real lemonade, the real iced tea. You can taste it. I mean, when you have a sun cruiser, it is so good. The fact that they're so tasty and they're so delicious that when you when you drink it and then you look at the
can, you see it only has one gram of sugar and it's only a hundred calories. For how good it is, it feels like there's no way. It's like impossible to comprehend how this is even happening. So everyone that we've given some cruisers to and videos that we've done with them has enjoyed. I'm Kevin Kizzner is like a huge kind of sun cruisers now. We went through quite a bit of Bob Desports guys were having them with us. So it's just it's an absolute treat to be able
to have these on the golf course. And I think we're going to have a great year of sun cruiser. The
Fact that we love them this much, it's going to be to be easy to be able to d...
great start. They're they're delicious. We drink them all year long and I'm very excited. They're

Today you showed some emotion in this match. It was awesome. It was awesome. We talked about it too and it sometimes comes off in the wrong way where it's like people say you have no personality out there on the golf course. We called you an AI robot. No. We get that that's part of the thing. You want to keep everything kind of down the middle and playing well. You don't want to be out of control in any way. But then you got there and played with us and we had a ball today.
Like you we had so much fun. It was a joy ride with you. We had a blast. I'm excited for people to if they haven't see that side of you because it's like it was really fun out there today. Yeah, well thanks. I'm glad you're doing this. I was out there. I was like I'm having a lot of fun.
Yeah, I think that's the main part. Me and Joe, even though the cameras aren't always like
obviously when the cameras are on, we're working. We're playing golf. That's our thing, right?
“But once in between shots, we always keep it light and I think that's very important because”
that is my personality. That is the way I am. So I'm not going to try to be someone I'm not
In in a certain situation.
sometimes it's nice to go out and play a match and just have fun. You are aware of the robotic tagline, right? I mean, the fact you've heard of it. Where do you think that'll stem from? Just like you're just having an unbelievably structured swing and like everything about it. Just yeah, maybe, I mean, obviously I have to do it with the personality because your personality is like unbelievable. It's outgoing and you're thoughtful and you're like, yeah, so maybe things like this is just
what's going to show people that type of person you actually are as opposed to just the golf swing.
“Maybe, maybe. That's what we're hoping I think it wasn't. I don't even know that it was always”
like necessarily a negative kind of thing. It was always very much like, yeah, you have this
terminator S. Swing looks like it was creating a lab. You're very handsome. Look like you're creating a lab and then here is this lab that you're just dominating people and golf. It was like, like, do you know what I'm going to do? This is your first track up where like who the fuck is this guy? Like, you can't even penetrate his brain. It's like, you got to be it's got to cry. You're right. It's got to literally tear it up. You're just like waving and laughing. You can actually write
it right during it. So we interview you. I looked through my phone because I walked with your group. I was in Rome for that Sunday. Like that was the first day of my honeymoon, left my wife at the hotel. And I went to go to the ride to get up. She had to sleep. It was a lot. There was a lot of jet lag. I'm like, I'm going to the ride to go. And I walked with you guys because I had an inside the
roast pass for that day. And it was like so cool to watch. You get swept up and all that stuff.
But I was like, fuck this guy. Like I was like, this guy's my buddy's like, this guy's a problem. He's like, you just like, we're winning matches and then like going all your buddies out there. And like, you were just like having a great time smiling, hooting and horror about the hat stuff. It was great. It was a game of the time where pace of play is a big talking point amongst people who play golf and you play so fast that people are like, see if this guy can do it. People can play
fast and so play really well. Does it drive you crazy to play with people that are, uh, yeah, it does. I mean, naturally, my tendency are I want to play fast. You know, I hate playing slow. And, um, you know, unfortunately the way it is today, it's you're going to have slow rounds, especially Thursday Friday, three sums is going to be very slow. Um, and, uh, and last week it players, uh, unfortunately Colin had to withdraw after a whole. So we play, it was just me and
see, we were playing the two, and see was fast as heck. And I'm fast. So naturally, we were waiting on every, um, so still shot 63. Yeah. Yeah. Um, but it's, uh, yeah, do I prefer fast golf? Absolutely. In the video that you guys will see on YouTube, you know, I mean, it's amazing to watch your process, especially when you're not in tournament form, like you just step up there. It's a little bit of a soft guard. You look, you go back and you just make sure that your club face is square,
right? That's all you're tracking. And then it's just that little, that little tap on the ground right behind the ball, and then you're going. It's, uh, it's a 10 second process. It is awesome to watch. It's very athletic. It's fluid. It moves. And then once you're swing goes, it's like,
there's a robot. Yeah, because I've always felt like, you know, once you're thinking about like,
I wouldn't say I'm a fast process guy, you know, in terms of figuring what club to hit or the lines on the greens or whatever, but I feel like that's always, like, if you do that back here,
“that's all you need to do. And then once you were in the last show, that's, you know, you've already”
made that decision, right? So like, naturally, when that's done, you just hit it, you know? So like, what else is there to do? I was like, like, point, I think Maddie Fitz was making this past week and was that, like, when he did call time and so I remember, is that like, they weren't even ready when it was their turn, yeah, even though they had time. Yeah. That always drives me nuts. I don't know if people are slower. I'm like, do well. I'm, let's say I hit it shorter than you
up to. Well, I'm going through my process of getting my number, and you, you should have the same amount of time. Yeah, exactly. And after I hit, you should be hit. And I get sometimes you're in a tricky situation or, you know, it's a hard shot or, you know, you're in between clubs. You have to call a rules official. You know, sometimes it takes time. But at least what you can do is be ready when it's your turn. And, you know, the least we've got. It's the least we can ask or I think.
Especially Friday, if you're shooting 60 threes, you're, you're taking no shots. You got one last player. Oh, yeah, we just did the way that the week came up to like a six or seven or something like that. That's like, we're walking down six. And there's, I see like four groups on seven. Oh my god, you just get deflated. Don't you? You're like, um, two. There's probably a group on the green.
“A group in the fairway. Yeah. I think it was another group coming to the, yeah. I think that's what it was.”
Oh, there is one in one in T one fairway, one green. And then we were coming on the mother. And as a viewer, you just don't ever realize how much you guys have to wait. Like, like, you know, just playing amateur golf at your local club or public off horse, sure, can get slow. But like, we generally get to just go out, hit the ball, move to the next hole, decent pace. You guys are,
Are getting iced before every single swing.
over four hours, they'll put you on a penalty box. Yeah, you can wait 25 minutes before, before hitting another golf ball pretty easily, right? Yeah. That's 25 minutes. I mean, sometimes like from the, from the green to like your next T shot. I mean, if I'm thinking about like that six seven stretch players, I mean, yeah, I hit a wet shot on six. And then obviously finished the whole out. And then, yeah, we were in 20 minutes on the team. So that real minutes of like, I mean, that headed a golf shot
on this, too. Like, easy to be 30 minutes, literally. It's time that you've hit driver from you, probably, driver on five. And then six, you hit the seven would wait forever. So between the driver's wing, five is like an hour. Oh, easy or more easy. Yeah, it's easy now. Yeah, well,
so like you'd be an hour. Yeah, idea of being in some sort of flow stage, especially in the most important
part of like your career is not exist. Right. And to the viewer, you're just seeing shot shot shot shot, kids laughing on the Broadway shot. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's like every, bye. Oh, there's like game of thrones episodes in between drugs. Right. You watch a whole episode. Yeah. Crazy. Yeah. Crazy. That's, I know, let's sit down and watch. You just, yeah, you started in between drugs crazy. What's the most nervous you've ever been over a golf shot? Um, either Rome or New York, for sure. I think probably Rome.
First T. Yeah, first T probably. Um, but my, I mean, I mean, my first shot, ever in the Ryder Cup was when I played with Victor in the Forstoms. And he had the fairway. And I
“like semi-scanked a little seven hour on that ridge and then he chipped in. Yeah, that's what I mean. Fuck yeah.”
That was a night. That was sick. That was sick. That was insane. But yeah, that was, that was my first hole in the right. Oh my, oh yeah. This is awesome. Yeah, and I'm like, yeah, I just kind of have something up there and he just chips it up. And then we're off. But yeah, that, that seven hour was probably the most nervous I've been. What were you guys saying? We just had lunch. You guys are saying something about at a gasta. You can just like order whatever you want in the club house and
like make it. Yeah, we, we had breakfast before we went and plays and yeah, you sit down and like, we're the men users. There's no men using the guy comes over and what do you want? Okay, I got, you told me, I don't know. Thanks, maybe. Yeah. And yeah, I guess you just keep going. There's no man. Yeah, whatever you want. Yeah, that's very interesting. I guess I'll do pancakes. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That's an interesting like exercise. Like if you just go to
breakfast somewhere like what do you want? Yeah. It's really just what do you want? It totally. Which is nice. Unbelievable. You're next Benedict guy. I love. I love it. Yeah. Yeah. I love eggs. I can't do it.
I got to get into Scandinavian pancakes. I got to throw that into my arsenal. Yeah, there's never been
the skin in there. Not a stick. Yeah. You're not a gluten guy anymore. No, no, gluten free, baby. Change your life. I'm looking at you like I can't believe it. Yeah, that's also sitting here. I just have a bunch of gluten in my stuff. Yeah, bubble and right now. Yeah, you don't feel great. Is it something that you, like, it was a hard thing for you to give up or you kind of just like, don't worry about not really. I mean, my, it's both my dad and my sister are gluten free. But I
thought I kind of dodged it a little bit, but I didn't. So I had an episode early this year upon
“springs where I remember having a lot of gluten today before and then I, you know, no details,”
but it wasn't pretty. And after that, I just, hey, let's cut it out and see what it does and I did about two weeks without it and I felt amazing and then did some testing and it showed some intolerance. So we're calling it an episode. Like, I've had so many apps. You haven't heard of it so I don't have an episode today. We want to start calling it an episode because that really is what it is. It's going to be a hard episode. We're all sitting over a part three while I need to go 270 and you
are sometimes you just go into the wind. That was so hard. You, yeah, you did the thing to which I know when you mentally prepare when you're going to be able to go. No matter what that is, it might be 20 minutes here in the car or something might be four minutes. There's also moments with the one that 24 minutes where you're like, I don't know if I'm going to make totally this. Yeah. And then like, you get to that moment where it's like, all right, I'm now like 30 seconds away.
“It's like, okay, my body begins to process and you need a car key to get into it.”
Oh, dude, I sprint into this bathroom. Then get to it. It's locked and a huge sign says, use the key in the cart to enter a bathroom. So I have to run back. 70 yards. Yeah. That is, yeah.
And you're about to tee up. So it always like hit your head off. Oh, yeah.
Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. That was, that was something to watch. You're a huge history fan.
You're a history.
documentaries, reading books? Yeah. What's the thing that we're diving into right now?
“Um, I think, you know, I can watch World War II, World War I, one documentary is all day.”
Yeah. Um, I would say I'm probably a little bit more modern history. Yeah.
Um, just the other night we watched the Piggy Blinders movie. It was amazing. So I got to watch it.
Um, it was, oh yeah, I've heard it. Big three miles. A couple of days ago. Some people are like, they rather have been a series and like, they don't know if they landed a plane on it. I haven't watched it yet. Maybe a huge peek of Piggy Blinders fan. So I'm excited. Just to see those characters, I thought it was more time. Like a 20-year later kind of thing. Yeah. I'm excited. It was great show. And it was great. Um, but, uh, yeah, it's just anything where we're kind of planning a trip to Rome.
Where I'd love to go see that. Um, just finish. Um, yeah, doing some of that. So you just finished the, uh, the leg. Oh, yeah. Yeah. So we're, when we're playing, uh, the router cup in Rome, we got gifted, uh, like massive Lego set of Colosseum. So this, this thing it did. It's like, dude. He has a sign photo. He has a picture almost. Yeah. You might have to send it to us so that Ryan Richardson can put it in. But yeah. No. Dude, this guy, how many hours did you spend on it? I mean,
it's 40 plus 40 plus hours. Yeah. I'm like, is it like a little because we? Is it the size of the actual Colosseum? No, no, no, no. Let's go. Oh, that's huge. Yeah. Huge, dude. And you did that. Yeah. So, uh, finished that. It was a gift from the team. So it was, it was, it was very cool. Very cool. It was cool. Nine thousand pieces. It was like nine and a half thousand feet. Yeah. It was, it was cool.
“Dude, when every star something like that is, it's like so infuriating because you have to finish it.”
It cannot, what you do when you put the last piece in. Oh, like a moment to your right. Yeah. There's a little emotional. Yeah. I don't want to stop. He's right. You're only piece 2000. You're like, my wife and I remember like, when we were doing this one, Aladdin puzzle. There's an Aladdin puzzle on our count on our dining room table. That's like a period of our life we remember. Yeah. Like, that time we did the puzzle. Um, because it just took that long.
You know, it was on our dining room table for six months. We remember remember when we were doing that puzzle. It's like, whoa, I can remember everything in that six-month period. Just because of how much it takes over your life. The Aladdin puzzle, but you're going to take it over your life and feel
that we've taken over. Oh, we've taken it over. It's like five a.m. So I feel bad. We first saw you like seven a.m.
This morning. You're just about a four point out. We hired Kevin Keiser to admire Ludwig Ober. We made you buy his lunch, kept you all day. How do you feel? Everyone tries to say your name correctly and like, it's all over the place. Yeah. Ludwig Aberg, Ludwig, Ludwig Ober. What's the official way to pronounce it from your official way? Yeah. I mean, if I were to go
“to Sweden. It's Ludwig, oh, bye. Oh, bye. Oh, Danny. That's how I say at least. I mean, what's”
something that like Americans can say that you're not rolling your eyes at in terms of a pronunciation? Oh, of my name? Yeah. Yeah. I mean, Ludwig, Ludwig, I don't, I don't anything that works. Ober is probably the easiest way to say it. Ober, because it's like, it is your name. Yes. People should be right. Like, that's a comment. That's just a curtain. Yeah. Like, most people that I know did just call me Lud. That's a great nickname. It's an easy nickname. It's, you can't mess it up.
I called you Lud early today. Like, yeah, it's great. We really got in a report going on. Yeah. And I was like, I took a risk. I thought it was risky. I did. Yeah, it's good. I like to drive on the range. And I was like, let's do it, Lud. And I was like, yeah, I might have been too early. But you took it like a chance. Yeah, I liked it. Well, what a day with you. Thanks, Lud. You are the man. We kept
you all all day long. The video is going to be incredible. It was just a treat. It was a treat.
It was fun. Yeah. There was fun being out there. You're funny guy. Yeah. You're into a lot of stuff. So it's very interesting. I'm a huge fan of yours after today. The games. Thank you. Very fun. Well, actually, you hit the golf ball. So, so we appreciate everything. You're going to be every two years, man. You're just going to be problem every two. You're going to be our arch nemesis. You're going to be a fucking problem. It's hard. It's like, um, time to leave. It's the same
boat. And the other favorite people is the best guy in the world. It's been so much time with that. He's the best. And every time I watch when they're out, I'm definitely rooting to get some, but I'm like, it's like kind of cool figure, right? Yeah. I know every two years in September on Friday morning, they're going to roll out. You and Victor, they're going to roll out Tommy and Rory. They're going to roll out John. And, uh, Tyrell had, and you're just going to kick our
dicks. I like you. But it's just, they're just going to keep doing it. Um, hey man, go make history. Go make history at the moment. Go tell me of Thursday morning. Yeah, I got to do that same speech. Go be a part of those pictures, man. It's part of the pictures. Part of the pictures. Yeah. Let's go. Let's go. Thank you. Thanks, friends. We appreciate you. Thanks, post. Thank you. The best. I went with the Scandinavian way. Yeah, I like it. Thank you, man. Thank you.
It was a little awkward. Thanks, brother.
