- He tries to give me into yoga, but I haven't quite done it yet. - Beginning is good, but I once did an intermediate class once, and I dislocated my pelvis. Someone tried, I had a pose where my legs were up, and someone like straightened me out,

I'm also on my own bachelor release therapist, so I do that type of stuff. In fact, before I came here, I was working on a client because she had fallen and hurt her back, and those kinds of things.

- Wow, that's interesting. Does someone do it for you or not? Do you go to-- - No, in fact, I just said, I just said, back surgery. - Well, what kind of--

- Well, I like, you know, I like the challenge, and I was diving for a ball on the ground. My age, I probably shouldn't. (laughing) - What happened?

- I injured my hand, I dislocated this knuckle, and I had no back injury, and so the disc-- - What did they do in the surgery, what they have to do? - Oh, I'm an actor, me, and fusion. - That's supposed to be painful.

Was it-- - I didn't get it bad. - No, it was painful, but in terms of the short period of time in which my surgery was only two months ago. That's it, and you're not even walking like there's any. - I knew it.

- I'm not the guy I was walking. It was difficult, but it wasn't so much the surgery that it was painful from, it was just the activity or lack of activity because the muscles have been tightened up and it just gets really tightened up.

“- Did you have to have physical therapy a lot after?”

- I still am seeing a physical therapy. But mostly just because I have just tight muscles,

that I'm not using anymore because prior to this, I was in the gym and trying to be fit, you know.

“I don't mind growing, oh, can I ask how old you are?”

- I'm 74, we're 75, and you look amazing. - Oh, well, thank you. - Uh-huh. - Hi. - I'm so sorry to tell you that the time is up.

So he was devastated. And soon as, it's right at that COVID time. So soon as we got our shots and we were clear to go in May before all the kids get out of school. And June, I took him on a three week road trip.

We went to Arizona where we got to see my nephew.

My first cousins, first born son,

we lived out in this all in the same area. And a friend of him, his from Cuba, that he hadn't seen in 2030 years. So that was where I found.

when I came back, I needed a vacation. - Oh, yeah. - So I drove back to my friend in Utah. He pulled a high school buddy, pulled out a 32 foot trailer. We drove to Missouri where our other high school friend was.

Had two other high school buddies come and we went boating, fishing and camping in Missouri and Arkansas. - That's fine. - That was awesome.

- That was awesome. - And then I came back and it was still summer. And so then right after summer, I took my dad camping. We went along the California coast, all the way up to the Oregon coast,

all the way up to Astoria. - Wow. - And I love talking, but I talked to people, they're cool. - You're so friendly and all this.

I'm happy type person, I'm whistling, I'm saying it. I'm in a bar waiting for my date and these people next to you, they go, "I heard you, you're good, you got a good voice, you're sick." So, you know, if you're nice and you're friendly to other people,

Is a relationship thing is really important to me. And it's also what somebody is looking for within a relationship. So I loved my wife. I feel like the experience of it made me such a better man.

I don't think that I truly understood what relationship was until being with her. And it's a learning curve that you go through, because I was very independent, so kind of a serial data prior to it.

And it was a whole bunch of things that had to kind of rewire inside me. But when it clicked, it was an amazing thing. And for our relationship to end, it was devastating for me, like emotionally.

- It's a death, it's like, it's very hard. - And, you know, we didn't have children. So I mean, I actually like that really adds to it all the time. - So it was really serious here, but. - 'Cause you're still bound with one another.

- Right, you can't get away. - Right. - And like you were saying though, it's kind of cool that it brought you back together and that you can be friends.

- Yep. - And that's where we go a long time. - And I'm just 10 years. - Time is a big part of it.

And that has always been my greatest disappointment

that somebody that I loved so dearly, that was such a deep, seated friend of mine. And this kind of leads me once I get to it with relationship and dating is the friendship.

is that friendship and how I spend time with somebody. I don't want to use the word "headdy," you know, but I'm kind of a thinking personality, even referred to that I'm like a philosopher. And it's because I really like life.

I like to really like analyze life, I like to enjoy it and experience it. Being a corporate guy, there was a point in my life where I decided that rather than just being in this box,

and very competitive and always trying to win, was when am I going to truly experience life? Burking 18 hours a day, seven days a week, kind of takes you out of the realm of being a person. - Yeah.

- And so I popped out of that. And I started saying things like, working these six-month gigs where I travel, anywhere I was in this gallery of Alaska, private islands. And I would work, you know, and I was a restaurant guy.

So I would work running restaurants, which was really unique. - We have a lot of work. - A lot of work. - A lot of work is so much work. And so many hours, yeah.

I always like to know one of two things.
