Somehow the sixth time that we are doing the verses, think your fifth and our sixth, the

“fictional award show that we do around actual award season to celebrate the nerd culture”

highlights that we loved and that the listeners and viewers of our various nerd culture podcast loved. The ringerverse family is here today, the midnight boys pew pew ringer! Dan, Joey, Steve, Charles, House of ours here, we don't have like a fun sound effect. Just pages turning and then a really long run time to end this year. We are going to explain the categories that we will be toasting this year and the new and evolved voting

process. Well, yeah. Right after this. Okay, now you just need democracy's sounds so sexy. You got to wait for it, right? That's not how the democracy dies. Oh man. Okay. No, we don't there's a applause. That's not what you said. That's not what you said. Yeah. Pat Pat May is with us

always, even though that wonderful film that's important to some members of this panel

is not eligible this year because at the two thousand twenty six verses, we are celebrating

“two thousand twenty five releases. Okay, so that is the first look at this. Should we talk?”

That's the classic man. How close do we get to be? All right, here's how it's going to work. We have champagne. We have trophies. The entire team has killed it setting up the wonderful set. We have here. We have some fancy montages. It's going to be great.

We have 12 categories today. Everybody has actual tangible physical envelopes because it's the physical media era. Yes. Okay. Okay. Okay. Sean and the Blu-ray boys are not with us today. And yet we have something that we can hold in our hands. I mean, you said that on a podcast. I've done with you this week. Yeah. Probably even though we've only done three podcasts this week, it might be the fifth time I've said it. We will reveal the categories

as we go through. Everybody will be celebrating various things today. And we open up the voting in advance to the public. So if you're tuning in for this pod, you might think this is all surprise. But you might already know what the categories are. Because you might have voted on them. The polling was up this week before we recorded. And that means that we will be revealing for each of the 12 categories. Two votes. Interesting.

Power vote. This is steamed panel of nerds. And then the voting, say something. This is steamed panel. The democracy. And then the midnight writers, the bad babies, the button measures voted on the ringer.com, what a great website, on Instagram, on Twitter, on YouTube. And so we will be sharing the opinion of the public. Will we agree? Did we agree with each other? Are there going to be some controversial ties? How will we be litigating

that in real time? We don't know. We didn't solve that part. Before we recorded, we're going to figure it out in real time together. And I'm sure that will be fine. Any questions

before we begin, which is going to basically be here's the category, then you guys are going

to get to see some clips, little highlight package, right? Right? We're going to let's explain that there are no clips anymore. The first is here to appease that need and that concern. And then we're going to have a little bit of a discussion to remember, to luxuriate in this near term nostalgia. Then we're going to pull up the envelopes and say what one. That's it. curtain. Avatar Fire and Ash almost not nominated for anything until Mallory stormed the night. We listen. We want everyone to stay for the entire work show until the very end when we have some of the the biggest awards. But there's a lot of overlap between categories. I actually nominated Avatar. Cut out the core scene. Again, high. I really do think that my ability to read it,

“like they do with the Oscars was very, I think everyone should do that. I'll just say that.”

But secondly, I think that Avatar, there's, we've now kind of boomeranged around on the Avatar stuff. How so? Just like the Timothy Ballet Commit to where it started off. Like why are we? We just like culture. Like now Avatar is overhaided to me. To me, it's about overhaided to me. It's about overhaided to me. It's about overhaided. It's about overhaided to me. You know, people still lies and now everybody says cool to hit on Avatar. It's fun. It's fun. It's fun. It's fun.

Middle hour of the way of water, magical. Middle hour is in the first hour or the first half hour. Middle hour is in the middle hour. In the middle of the three. That's a surprise to me there. When you're doing best visuals, which is also a movie that existed. Yeah, it's a good category to celebrate some other films that aren't going to be represented in the, the right. So, the only shadow going to be in this category. Yeah, we got a mission possible in your demon slayers here.

That's thrilling. Yeah, if we were doing best visuals. Fantastic for which we are. For mission impossible. With, with it be that, or would I feel like the submarine scene, actually had better visuals. This was more exhilarating to watching the theater because you're like, how did they do this? But the submarine scene was like really cool. Did you not. I was about. We all had the opportunity to nominate things and I'm pretty sure you did that. I don't know.

Yeah. I'm sorry. I knew that. I mean, this is more of like a bigger spectacle. I know

“I think I prefer in terms of action. The submarine sequence, because it's like really tense and like,”

oh my god, he's like gunna drown. But then he's jumping from plane to plane, man. You can't what he said. That's the opposite. I think in this scene, that's much more tense because, you know, it's a real plane and stuff like that. But like when you go back and you watch him under the water, like the death that you're seeing, he looks like he's in the ocean of space.

The ocean of space. Sure. All right. Here's what the war goes to. Is there a kind of drumroll or

situation like that? Okay. Yeah. There's visuals. I just want to say the craft that went into this. I don't know. It's incredible. It's an entire team. There's a few winners are winner and then the fan winner. There you go. Right. That's podcasting because I was just going to read this.

I vote a parameter. Tough look for Dean the Slayer, man. All that money. Dean the Slayer will be a very worthy winner here. It's a very well done on Twitter, which was a while ago and who knows how many, I know that more people wrote on the website, but mission impossible was winning by a country mail and I was shocked. Sorry, we didn't write hard for mission impossible. The crew's heads, the Scientologists are out.

I wonder why they're still there. Interesting. Are you clicking using the team of Cook in the books? Do you think there was some? No, I know there was like many platforms to vote on.

I've been thinking about visuals and singing the theater, and I'm actually like that was a scene where in that movie I was like, oh man, we're cooking. Now did the movie continue that momentum? No. No. But in that moment, I was like, this is a fantastic four-flop. Fantastic four has a versey. Now, and I still have some headblood, so you're going to have some headblood, but you just write piano. So this is how it has an Oscar, I suppose. Are we presenting the trophy in any way,

Astonished if the andoralign does not win the fan vote by like 90%. I will say I voted for Joel. I voted for the United States. I just think that is this is our opportunity here to get last of us in the mix. We're going to have a lot of places to celebrate and or justly and rightly so. That was gorgeous. That moment is perfect. And it kind of encapsulates what we love about the last of us. An important show in our universe. An important game in our universe added to best.

So I would make the case for the only problem with that is that the show sucked this time. It's a lie. It's not the way it was. It's not the way it was. It's not the way it was. The MVP for the triple double. You know, despite the fact that we're a 7C. It's kind of like that. I get it. I guess what I feel like is and you guys are all making. Yeah, it's an nominated and best show. Well, what's it? You said wow. Well, we're just now in real time. He said, he said, wow. That's a real time. That was in our membership though, but I also believe in the kinetic force and energy of an artistic.

I like to see when somebody sweeps, right? I like to see. I want to see and/or. I want to see. I actually agree with this as well. I'm at war with myself and I don't like this. This is a sports fandom. We love a dynasty. Yeah. I love a dynasty. I love it. I don't like Joel. Joel was he was Joel and right there though. That's some of it.

Right. What if he got back to back versus fantastic four in the last. Oh, wow.

Wow. He's best. He's best. He's best. He's best. He's best. The name is Joel. He's a hersey's merch. Joel. He's brought it up. So don't. Don't accuse me of bringing it up. But can you say that? I've never in life said that. Okay. So this is the deal. Pedro Pascal was like in a prime position to legitimately take over Hollywood with the amount of things that he had dropping TV film all that stuff. Did it happen? No. But what I will say, what happened to the last of us, not his fault because everything that he didn't last. All the Joel stuff was great. You can say he was the best part of that. He was wildly miscast. I think given to us before. I think 10 years greater. Yeah. I think that's a terrible. I'll do. I think that's not a problem. I thought he was a miscast. He might have just, but the script was always just a bit more from me. He do everything. But what he does really well. No one does as well. That's the thing. We want him to do everything. When maybe he really should just be doing his thing.

“Remember, remember, now you guys are listening. See this. I know the child full of shit. I said that he was miscast and materialist and the three of you guys were like, oh, you're not saying it.”

We were going to be more so cheap. Radio Pascal ain't that hot. I want to say, I would say, in that role, you needed like a, like you were taking a younger young Richard. And then we got that in you. Yeah. That's, let's anyway. Indefensible. Let me ask a question that is Germany to this category. Any really memorable lines of dialogue that you guys think are missing from the final four nominees. I really can't believe that. I really can't believe that made it. And that was my nomination. I did not expect to make it into the final. I got to say another little bit of a spoiler for the verse. He's alien earth.

Very well represented. Well, there was one nomination that needed to be in here. Certainly. I was sneaking one from Daredevil born again, which was punishers indictment of the proud boy fanboys. I'm not playing Cupcake with these fanboys. I'm chopping them up. I really love that sentiment. It was a kind of a great episode of him, like kind of inditing all of the like iconography that's been misappropriated throughout his character. And it's kind of great. I love that line. I'm happy with the K-pop team at 100 representation. Charles cannot be more disgusted.

Did you see it after, like, and/or? It's a good line from a great song.

“Is it what you voted for? You're going to reveal your vote? Should we reveal the title?”

I already read those winners now. Read them winners.

This is wonderful. Okay. Best line. Perhaps I'm surprisingly and/or won the ringer first, but they don't even bother to live badly anymore. I suppose that's the final humiliation.

I'm glad we talked about some of the other nominees. And guess what? That also won the fan vote. We have a sweet, sweet, sweet beginning. Man, the clay of stuff, because she kind of takes it by surprise, especially in the first season. Yeah. You're really like, it's looped in heavy. She's there. She's helping.

She's like a great character in our own right. And that's season. Then it's season two. They take it up. Not to turn it up by twenty.

It's a summer time. It's a summer time. It's clay of time.

It's incredible work by the actress.

Just like again, you have Diego Luna. You have Stella Star's guard.

“Like you already have powerhouse people in that show.”

And for her to be there. And not only take up the amount of space that she did. But also do it in a way that you're watching her. Like, this is a powerhouse performance with all those other actors. It's just incredible.

It was amazing how the show took Lutheran. Who was kind of a linchpan of the entire resistance in this show. That was almost it's mascot. And then was able to send him off by empowering the narrative of her character to such a devastating degree. I don't know that I've ever seen it quite done like that.

I tried even at that point to think it would have been like, if the end of the soprano's would have been Tony's death through Chris's eyes. Yeah. Or kind of but like the soprano's ran for so much longer and or you don't like to see this. I know, but I'm not necessarily comparing the shows as a one to one.

But like I don't know that I've ever seen it quite done like that. They really pulled Lutheran out of the game. And then almost made him a mug of it. And it was fantastic story to it. Yeah, really good.

I mean, clay was certainly one of the characters who, you know, Andor is one of the defining experiences for Star Wars fans and also just fans of like genre storytelling. And we are attached to a lot of those characters from Rogue One. Then to your point, we become very attached to certain figures in season one. The fact that clay is one of the characters after two seasons of Andor are concluded.

Like dominating and animating not only thought and care, but conversation. Really notable. Like last one of the conversations. Yeah, I spent off conversations.

Yeah, it's just, clay would be an incredible, incredible winner.

I don't think clay is going to be the winner. I suspect the votes went elsewhere. And we find out.

I mean, I think boy Cavalier is an incredible character. It's an amazing performance. What a name. Not to get to you to spoil future categories. There's another alien Earth best new character.

Spike was a great character. It's a great character because it's like a very tough coming of age that, like, Danny Bowles, very good at using kids to illustrate a kind of, like, growth.

That's wrong with you. A growing narrative in the character that is really, really tough. And that movie doesn't very well. Let's look at his name and J-mail right now.
