Thank you so much. Hello there, Dreamer. I'm Derek.
“Welcome to Little Sleepers, Big Dreamers.”
Tonight, we meet Harry and a horse who forgets his manners, has story about laughter, kindness and learning why good manners matter. Before we start our story, let's get calm and relaxed. Take a slow breath in true your nose and gently blow it out through your mouth and another slow breath in and out lovely, our story tonight is Harry and the horse who had no manners.
Harry loved visiting the stables, he liked the smell of the hay, the sound of the hooves on
“the ground and the horses munching their food.”
One afternoon, Harry met a horse named Hector. Hector was big, brown and very fast, but Hector had a problem. He had no manners. At feeding time, the horse's lined up quietly, but Hector pushed right to the front.
Me first, he made, the other horses stepped back.
Harry raised his eyebrows, that doesn't seem fair, he said.
“Later, Harry watched the horse's resting.”
One horse was talking quietly, suddenly burp, Hector burped loudly. The birds flew up, the horse's jumped, Hector laughed, oops, he said, excuse me, Harry asked, Hector blinked, oh, he said, I forgot, then when Harry said hello, Hector trotted past without looking, no hello back, Harry asked, Hector stopped, why does it matter, Hector asked, Harry thought for a moment, because manners help people feel noticed and appreciated.
The next day, Harry came back, at feeding time, Hector stopped, he looked at the
other horses, you can go first, he said, the horses smiled, later, Hector felt another
burp coming up, this time he covered his mouth, excuse me, he said, Harry grinned, when Harry said hello, Hector smiled back, hello, Harry felt warm inside, so did the other horses, and Hector did too, good manners feel good, Hector said, Harry nodded, they really do, and dreamer, that's the power of good manners, they help others feel appreciated, and they make us feel good too, now it's time to relax even more, take a slow deep breath
then, and breathe out, you can say these words out loud or gently inside, I can use my manners, I can be kind, I can think about others, let's say a few more, my words matter, I can make people feel good, I like being polite, and three more, before sleep, I am thoughtful, I am respectful, I am loved, good night dreamer, may your dreams be filled with happy laughs, and peaceful rest, and peaceful rest.
