Hello there, Dreamer. I'm Derek. Welcome to Little Sleepers, Big Dreamers. Tonight, we meet a little boy named Kai, and a very small kitten, a kitten who thinks there's something wrong with him. He wants to make a sound like other cats, but no matter how hard he tries,
“nothing comes out. Along the way, there will be surprises, mess, laughter, and a very important”
lesson about growing, learning, and believing in yourself. Now before we start our story, let's take a moment to get calm and relaxed. Take a slow deep breath in and softly breathe out. Let your shoulders drop, and feel your body gets softer. Our story tonight is Kai, and the kitten who thought he could me out. Kai loved animals, more than anything, but the animal he loved most was his kitten whiskers. Whiskers were small and fluffy,
“with bright curious eyes and tiny paws that never seemed to stop moving. He chased dust in the”
sunlight, bounced after his own tail, and pensed on anything that rolled across the floor. But there was one thing Whiskers couldn't do. He couldn't me out. Every morning Whiskers opened his mouth and tried to me out, but no sound came out. The other cats in the neighborhood loudly me out over the fence. Meow. Meow. Whiskers hid behind Kai's slippers, feeling tiny and quiet.
“One morning things got a little chaotic. Whiskers spotted a ball of wool. He pounced,”
bounced, tombled, and knocked over a small bowl of milk. Splash, milk tipped onto the floor, and Whiskers slid right across it, skidding with a little squeak. Kai laughed, picking up the ball. Your full of surprises aren't Whiskers. Later, Whiskers saw the curtains. He climbed higher, and higher, then whoops! A soft fluffy tumble to the floor. Kai rushed over, concerned, but Whiskers pensed back onto his
paws. Why died, had a little embarrassed. That night, Kai took to Whiskers into his basket. The kitten tried again to me out, but still nothing came out.
Whiskers curled up. Feeling sad, he thought, "Maybe I'll never be able to me out."
Days passed. Whiskers grew a little bigger, braver, and stronger. He chased toys, explored corners, and snuggled close at bedtime. And then, one quiet evening, it happened. Whiskers stretched, opened his mouth, and outcame the tiniest sound. Yeah. Kai froze. Did you hear that he whispered?
Me, you. Kai beamed, and then finally me out. It wasn't loud. It wasn't perfect, but it was a me out.
Whiskers eyes shone with joy. He hadn't failed. He just needed time, and a little practice. That night, curled up beside Kai, Whiskers felt proud, and Kai felt proud too. And dreamer, that's the joy of learning. Sometimes things take time.
A little patience, and someone kind beside you to help you grow.
Now it's time to relax even further. Take a slow deep breath in and gently breathe out.
“You can say these words out loud or softly in your heart.”
I am learning every day. It's okay to take my time.
I am proud of myself. Let's say a few more.
I don't have to be perfect. I can keep trying. I am loved just as I am.
“And now, I'm final three. I believe in myself. I am saved.”
I am ready to rest. Good night, dreamer, and may your dreams be filled with playful pause, gentle learning, and peaceful sleep. [Music] , [Music] [Music]
