What are the things I know about this market in every market that is chaotic ...
This is the time that my nurse remained.
“People literally are like, "Gleab and deal with my gut."”
And I come on with the chemicals to make some money. Maybe my perspective is a little bit different because I don't see it as being chaotic. I just see it as... Lisa Rivera is a real estate broker, entrepreneur, and the CEO of the Avalon Realty Group. She helps buyers, sellers, and investors achieve their real estate goals through strategic guidance,
expert negotiation, and a client-first approach. We need to be cognizant of distractions because there's a lot of distractions going on right now. If your goal is to make money and to become independently wealthy or whatever, keep your eye on the fries. I am a welcome knowledge that when it comes to real estate.
Some people are too scared to drop F-bomb to all these things on social media because what if this client gets what, then that client is not for me. And if you don't like it, that's okay. You don't have to like me, but guess what. The living your legacy podcast for those who live to leave a legacy.
Welcome back to another episode of the Living Your Legacy podcast for Insight Success. I am Reggie Tarras. Fresh off for episode of Legacy Makers. Almost a year in the making, we've been wanting to film this episode with you.
As Lisa Rivera, we are actually wrapping up her day with an amazing podcast.
Welcome to the show. Thank you. I am so glad to be here, you guys. So 80% real estate talk in the episode, but I want to keep this 20% divine and talk about your tattoos. What's really happening day-to-day?
“Let's ask, what the hell do you think is happening out there, Lisa?”
Oh, in the world right now, we want to go there. Let's just start Greg. I want to talk about the devs, the files, or what do we want to talk about? No, no, no, no, no, no, no, let's not go that nuts. Let's start the F-bomb.
How is the house market, is there a crisis, should it be in trouble, is it chaos? Are we, can we monetize that chaos? What are your thoughts? What are the things I know about this market in every market that is chaotic and crazy? This is the time that me and Eris are made.
People literally are like, "Gleam and deal with my God and I'm gonna, yeah, I know, come on, the canals make so many." Let's not look at it as gloom and doom. Let's look at the opportunities that are here now.
So funny story, when I first got my license,
I got my license when the last really big crash happened in 2008. In that area, and this is, that's when my real journey started with the investing side. Remember in the interview, we were talking about, you know, the investment wholesale inside. That's when I started teaching myself how to wholesale.
And if I would have known then, but I know now, I'd be more, I'd be, we'll look back to the future you'd be beef and you'd have that. Bye. Yeah, but I wouldn't be, I wouldn't be like as mean as beef was an asshole. I mean, let's keep it real. I didn't think you were just misunderstood.
No, I was kidding. Fifto's it's only fucking with you. I just played that one's advocacy. Yes, right? He was a great villain.
“Anyways, what are we going to learn about you in your episode of Legacy Makers?”
What would you learn about me? I guess the authentic side of me, which is for sure. Always am. Yeah, I guess. That I am a wealth of knowledge when it comes to real estate.
And I'm a funny motherfucker. Yeah, you definitely are. Like it's funny, because you're such a fresh perspective on not just the real estate. Yeah, I didn't want you to do the real estate, but it's the magic of selling that real estate. And I feel like you, you possessed that.
Is that something that's, you're born with trained? Where do you think your divine superpower comes from? I was, well, I think I was born with it. Yeah, I think I was born with that.
I just always, I've always been who I am.
I just, you know, if people could see like the funny, because not everybody sees the funny or side of me. Oh, for sure. And if they could see that, they always think that I'm so serious. Well, probably not because of my social media, but yeah, I mean, just, you know, to see in a different
time. Yeah, we're done. The thing about the different side is that I always preach, you've got to lead into the cosplay, into the large being, into just becoming a superhero now. Like, they're force feeding you this stuff on the, on the, on the, on the apps.
And be a Marvel superhero, the force is real. The Beatles, Elvis, every single artist who's kind of too popular. Yeah. Before they come and go, it's like, yeah, it's all real, real. Oh, and it's not, not, not, not.
And it can't be, but it's just like we're all part of that rhythm now. And it's like it's reached a point where it's 20, 26. And it's like, it's bad news everywhere you look.
I think it's time for us, like you said, it's time to make money in these env...
And the, the, the, the spark, I want to say the smart people because I don't want to get myself
thrown to the flames either, boy, live in there. But I feel like a lot of folks really see what's happening. And there's the chess game. And then there's really the folks are pushing the chess pieces. And it's like, who's really suffering the chess pieces or the folks pushing the chess
pieces? I feel like it folks that walk into this room and are on this podcast are sort of elevated and kind of seeing it from a different perspective.
“What's your perspective and how do you fall into this chaos that is 20, 26?”
Is my perspective on just like the chaos in general? Correct. As in like you're, you're, you're, you're, you're doing your hustle. You're doing really, really well. You're obviously sitting in our show.
And you know, you're just not a legacy maker, but it's also a woman of power.
That, or those are necessary ingredients to be able to thrive and survive today, because
it's just chaos out there. Correct. Yeah. Correct. It's, so I'm, and maybe my perspective is a little bit different because I don't see
it as being chaotic. I just, I just see it as opportunity, you know, I can't. I don't see the chaos, but I guess if I had to step back and look at it from a point of you from someone that's not as, you know, enlightened as I am, honestly, I would say latch onto somebody that, that, like me, like somebody that kind of knows how to make the money
manipulate things and not manipulate because that sounds narcissistic, but, but hack, there
“you go, hack, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, because I'm gonna manipulate”
the sounds because, you know, I was talking really about the little bitches that, but no, but yeah, hack, thank you, hack, the things to, you know, to just kind of mindset. Yes, man. mindset, change your mindset and, and make the money. Yeah, it's, it's really crazy because a lot of folks fear that kind of like a
aggressive nature of leading with fire. You kind of lean into that, but you are essentially, you hold into how, like, not to be too evil. Like, as we said on the, on the interview, you learned how to be an asshole, like, yes. You can't just throw that energy around it.
It's, it's earned and deserved, how did you earn and deserve your, your asshole crown? My asshole crown. Why won't you call an asshole crown? I will call it a, um, I wouldn't, I don't know, but it's not an asshole. That guy gets you crown, maybe I'll be out of the same thing.
There you go. I was telling you more politically correct, but by all means, I'm fine being called a bitch on him there. I actually, like you said, I lean into that because, you know, if, if, if you, if I,
“like you should love it, you're hurt on, but what just, it's just, again, I just, sometimes”
you ask me these, like you asked me questions before, and I really didn't know how to answer them because this is the only way not to be. Yeah. You know, it's like, I guess to everybody else isn't as bad to me, just to why I am. But the thing is, it's just, like, folks, like, paved, uh, astronomical's amount of money to
be coached into, like, being themselves and, like, yes, but somehow they figured, they find out that themselves, they, they're, they need to be, like, super powered, they need to be, like, infused with this amazing energy that you subconsciously just have, like, just being. And that, I feel like I was, like, cheating, like, ha ha ha ha.
But we're kind of like the gestures of reality. It's really an hard job to, like, make sure that everyone's in play because, while everyone's in play and we kind of play our roles, everyone has to courage to just let go. You clearly let go. You, you've said it yourself.
You're enlightened. Where did that enlightenment come from? Because at the end of the day, everybody has to grow into who they are.
I'm not going to say, I've always been this way, but there came a time, and maybe it was
in my, um, 30s, maybe I just have a given of fun. Yeah. I just really just was like, okay, you know what, one of the things that, one of the things that I have noticed is that when, when you are yourself, when you try to be yourself, people always try to make you go a different way and try to be different.
And, and it's like, I just, I'm just going to be me because being me is, is what makes me free, you know, is what makes me happy. And if you don't like it, that's okay. You don't have to like me, but guess what, you don't respect me, so, I don't care. You, you, you, you are an army child, I love assuming that a lot of this like, um, amazing
arrogance, but like, comes from the fact that you were army rays, you're also having to, like, background, talk about a lot of your building blocks, where a lot of this energy comes from, just talk about this, just let, you know, people are spicy by nature. Yes. I mean, I'm just saying, we really are, um, but I just, again, I just, that's hard to answer.
Um, maybe, you know, maybe part of is, you know, my mother used to every time she would go into, and you know what, now that I'm thinking about it, my mother taught me how to build relationships when I was a child, because she would, she would build relationships for remember rent a center. Of course.
My mother's in front of a universe. I think, right, my mom. That's a good city. Yeah, I don't know. I forgot to hear it.
Yeah. I don't know. I forgot to hear it. Yeah. I'm still you, baby.
Thank you.
Thank you. But rent a center. I'll never forget this.
So the manager of the, so she always made the relationships with the, the people, of course.
The manager, right? So the manager's name was Mike, and she would, she would make this relationship. With Mike, and if things were going wrong, she would be like, "No, Mike, don't mess up my account." And, you know, she was kind of narcissistic, but anyway, but she taught me, she, she taught
me just by watching her how important creating relationships are. Oh, absolutely.
“And I believe about making, you know, friends with the front of house and back house,”
but everything too, because I'm also a DJ, big surprise. It's like, make friends with, you know, like, the help, because at the end of the night,
when it's 4-5, and you see table service hosts make the rounds and collect their dues,
you see the, the folks, word and black, sweeping, and those are the folks that are truly mining the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the culture of, of the night clubs, like it's, it's a, it's a very like, they're, they're, they are like, like, it's all like the, the vampires and all the people of the night to like, look at these civilians walking into our nightclub. It's so much fun playing that super villain in powering the staff,
because we're all thriving, we're all eating really well off of some folks's fabricated happiness. Yeah. But that kind of takes a kind of like perspective. Do you think folks are kind of ready to, to be Puerto Rican and covered in Egyptian tattoos ago? This is me fuck you. I think everybody wants to, but they're scared to, right? Everybody wants to just be like, fuck it. I'm me, but they're, they're just still concerned about what
when if I, you know, what what if I offend this person? When if I just, I mean, so I'm going to tie this back into my business. Yep. Some people are too scared to drop F bombs and say fucking bitch and all these things on social media, because what if this client, guess what, then that client's not from me. Exactly. I actually had a lady say that she wanted to work with me because her son was a tattoo artist and she saw my tattoos. Yep. Yep.
So yeah, it's awesome. You remind me of my ex-partner and long, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, ash dark, uh, from La Zon Switzerland and tall covered in goth tattoos and just a, uh, a tax nerd. But she has this Scorpio power and just very evil and like, yes, lead into that super power because folks need to know like super villains can thrive, not everything is like
“rainbow super villain. And that's what I need that you say that because I, it's, I have recently,”
I think, um, the beginning of 2025, I just started, I got even more into my bucket error. Yeah. And I started saying I'm, I'm fine being the villain in anybody's story. So I am, I'm definitely in my, in my, in my villain error. So yeah, and it's, and it's like, when I learned that's like colleges go, oh, you grew up the Disney era where you thought like, love is a thing because you saw it in full house. Like, there's a, exactly, you know what the fuck I'm talking about? Yeah,
we're indoctrinating. They think this is reality. Yeah. And then we watch the Force Awakens in Kylo Ren kills Han Solo. It's like, ah, I know. Right. Because I'm a damn star, I'm Star Trek, listen, I'm a trekking, but I'm also at Star Wars feed, so my brother had the Millennium Falcon. Sure. He had the Stormtrooper helmet. I had Princess Leia. We used to play Marbles and, yeah, so I'm sitting front row because I live right across the movie theater in the Bay Area. I'm like,
tripping on an asset and going, I'm like, that's like the defining moment. I'm like, yeah, the life sucks. Your dad is a loser. You're in the good. You're still going to end up being Darth Vader. That was like the biggest fuck you. This was like, yeah, Disney's right about when we found out about Anakin. What about Anakin? When when we realized that Anakin was, was Darth Vader, right? Well, that was interesting twist. Yeah. But depends where you start to trilogy. Do you start
original trilogy, prequel trilogy? It depends where you start. So, so for me, because that born in the 70s, I started with the original. Oh, then, yeah, you were there for the original. No, I am not. I'm your father. No, there is a new guy in my father. No, no, that doesn't matter. That doesn't matter. That doesn't matter. That doesn't matter. That doesn't matter. There is no
new guy in my father. So, I grew up with Luke. I am your father. That never happened. It's no.
Mandela effect. I just corrected it. You're welcome. You know what? I'm going to, you know what? I'm going to go try to find that because remember, they, they, they, they, they love engine. I just saved like 11 dead engines just by correcting you. You're welcome. Okay, fine,
“bedless and no, it's not this really not. But anyway, Brett, I love learning out. Yeah. I believe”
the reason why it's the, I look around. I'm like, it's the 80s again. Some asshole is president of the United States hell, yeah. They, like, everyone's at war and everyone's angry. All right, metal, like a lot of great art, a lot of good stuff is going to happen. That's going to be rebellious to the cause. Here we are, learning how to make money off of that. Wouldn't you tell people that don't quite understand the temperament of what's happening and how to jump on it as opposed to
be afraid of it? That's so how to handle the temperament. I just, um, I think we need to unplug from a lot of it. Oh, absolutely. Because we need to be cognizant of distractions, because there's a lot of
Distractions going on right now, because there's a lot of distractions and ke...
If your goal is to make money and to become independently, wealthier, whatever, keep your eye on the
“prize. Or don't, um, gosh, how do people learn more about you and find out more about your website”
social media handle? So on Instagram, I am Lisa Rivera, triangle realtor on Facebook, I'm Lisa Rivera. My website is avalanvailtygroup.org. Right on. So now that we're in the, uh, in the world of social media, I like to call it social media. Oh, take tack. What am I on TikTok? Yeah. I forgot my TikTok channel. That's okay. We'll put it. That's where I'm the most rather. I was just going to say, what's your, what's your philosophy on social theater? Like where do you place all your eggs
or are you kind of creating anger content on TikTok versus your content on said threads or whatever,
“or do you even think that way? I do. So I'm, I think a more open on TikTok because the audience is a”
little bit more open there. But, but I do, most of the, most of the videos I do on TikTok, I put on Facebook and Instagram as well, but it's like, I just, I don't like TikTok better. Yeah. I do like TikTok better. Do you ever jump on their lives or talking? I haven't done a live yet, but I think, you know, you would totally approach this. Oh, for sure. I think I will, but I just, on any of my platforms, I just say what if I can't want to say, but, you know,
but I just like to talk better. Dude, like back in the days of the very first memes came out like the
dancing baby and I'm a chock. Oh, god, chock. Oh, yeah, I do know what the, um, there is this, there is this great meme of like this like, like, like 3 a.m. a fortune teller that would do like public service announcements. Was that Ms. Cleo? Something like that would be like, good evening. Like does that ring a bell? Mm-hmm. I can't remember Ms. Cleo. Call me now for you for you reading. No, there is part clear, but there was this other weird, like four-chand Reddit weirdo that people
would just call and just make fun of him, but he would just be in character and people would just
shoot on him. So every time I walk around, I go, good evening. Just as a throwback to that one first
influencer in the very beginning of 2003. So yeah, I just shut out to you. I don't know why I want
“to remember that. Well, there are ways to bring that story up, because at the end of the day,”
we're still doing very much what he was doing back then. Yeah, just the, the gulf. And with that, can you reintroduce yourself so we can close this out here? This is I am Lisa Rivera, owner broker of the Avalon Realty Group out of the Raleigh, North Carolina area here for all of your real estate needs. Me and my team cover from Charlotte to the coast. All of you. Right on, well, I really hope you enjoyed your experience. I'm Lisa Ray Burden. This is Raga Tears and we are inside success.
