Hey, Jeffrey here, and welcome back to Knife Falls.

This is a mini meditation, just a few quiet moments before you settle in for the night. You know those nights that feel a bit too quiet.

If that's what you're feeling now, you're not alone in it.

Let's slow things down and make a little space to breathe. Bring your attention to your breath.

Inhale slowly through your nose.

Exhale gently through your mouth. Again, breathe in warmth. And breathe out any tension. [MUSIC] Let your shoulders drop.

Let your body sink a little heavier into the bed.

Let the breath ease whatever it touches.

Now imagine a gentle circle of golden light around your bed. Small, warm, steady. Let it glow just bright enough to feel comforting. Not overwhelming. Inside this circle is every person who is cared for you in tiny or meaningful ways.

The people who've made you laugh, supported you, or made you feel seen.

Their presence isn't loud or dramatic, just a quiet warmth filling the space around you. Even if they're far away tonight, their care still reaches you. It moves towards you like a soft wave, settling around your body, resting on your pillow, and warming the center of your chest. [MUSIC]

Place a hand in your chest if that feels comfortable. Repeat softly with me. I am cared for. I am supported. I can let my body rest now. Come back to your breath in and out.

Feel your body sink a little deeper. Feel the space around you soften. Take one last slow inhale. And let it all go on the exhale. If sleep is close, drift toward it.

If you'd like a little more company, you're welcome to switch to one of my stories. Which ever feels right. Sleep well. [MUSIC]

Those nights when everything goes quiet, but your mind doesn't.

When your thoughts just keep circling and it feels like there's something you need to get off your chest,

but you're not quite sure where to start.

I think a lot of us have been there, and that's why I want to tell you about Rula.

The ones you're matched, Rula stays with you, helping you move forward, and supporting your progress over time. Because sometimes, having the right person to talk to can make all the difference. You deserve mental health care that works with you, not against your budget. There's something about these spring evenings, the light lingering a little longer, the world slowly unwinding. And it's the perfect time to step into a quieter kind of story, and find that sense of rest and renewal that spring invites. With that in mind, I've decided to run a rare flash sale with 30% off our yearly plans, giving you ad free access to our full library of bedtime stories and subscriber only series, so you can return to any of my 400 stories night after night.

And this month on premium, you can step into new midnight mysteries, a detective series set within the falls, where each case unfolds slowly in the stillness of declaring. You'll also have access to the full as song of two courts from fantasy collections so far, with new chapters in the silly court arriving every other month. So if you're ready to drift a little deeper this spring and into the year ahead, you can join now by tapping the link in the show notes or selecting subscribe on Apple Podcasts.
