>> The right club, I beat the right club today. [MUSIC]

>> That is better than most, how about it?

That is better than most, better than most. [MUSIC] >> Expect anything different. [MUSIC] >> Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to the No-Langapodcast.

My name is DJ Fresh on the heels of a delightful day one at the player's championship where we got a bunched leaderboard, guys. We got some good stuff to talk about, to help me do it. We've got the Carter Brothers, the shoes to brothers, whatever you prefer. TC, the elder, Tron, how are you?

>> I'm good, I'm trying out a little bit with a midday rain, but overall, I'm good. And I'm excited for an awesome weekend of golf ahead of us. >> Hell yeah, we've got it in front of us. Neil, how are you, my man? >> Fantastic, DJ, it's snowed from about three hours today.

Getting sick, but it's snow, but we were nice and cozy watching golf all day. I kind of love seeing some of these guys wearing some rain gear, maybe they were dealing with Florida cold, you know, it's all good, baby, it's all good.

>> It's always tough for me being in Wisconsin, you being in New Jersey, you know, I was

get the day, the weather what day before you, and the other day you're like, oh man, it's so nice out, sunshine, and we've got, like you haven't turned the quarter, I'm sorry. But, well, yeah, I've got you, you got to enjoy the snow that we got yesterday. So, guys, before we get into it, we are, of course, brought you today by our friends. So, we're at foot joy, number one shoe in golf, and the number one shoe at the players championship.

That's relevant because it's player championship, we guys. Big day today, not only do we kick off the players, but we've got foot joy launching, the all-new

premier series T, T, C, or one of the foremost premier appreciators, I think, in the

world of premier mind in the game. >> Yeah, it's like me and, yeah, it's like P, N, J, T, I think, yeah, I got a lot, wheels all at Taurus, many, many, got a bunch of JT shoes, you know, he's just been a premier appreciator for years. >> Exactly. >> Actually, I picked up, it was confirmed to me that my swing is actually faster when I wear

premieres versus hyperflexes or pro-SLS. >> And you can't argue with the data, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. >> You and some other out of TV, I do and some testing with some footwear, but foot joy,

aspired to make the best, even better, often imitated, but never duplicated, premieres,

the benchmark for modern classic footwear inspired by designs of the past, but super charge for today's game with all sorts of golf, specific innovation, the new premier keeps a familiar silhouette, but features an entirely new outsole that is lighter, but provides about 30% more traction, shout out to T, Cs, increase the club head speed there, just talking about.

Also, a ton of comfortability, including around the collar, and even a new tonne design, which sounds strange to talk about probably until you slide it on and feel it mold to the top of your foot. So, to see the new styles to learn more, check out the all new premier series at footjoy.com. Guys, I mentioned off the top, we got a bunched, bunched leaderboard at the player's championship,

Maverick McNally, Lee Hodges Boulevard, Sepshraqah, Saahit Thigala, and now Austin Smotherman just made another birdie to join all of those guys at five under, they are being chased by J.T, Russ Emily, Taylor Moore, and Cameron Young, T.C. you're out there, man, where do

you want to start today on this player's championship Thursday?

Yeah, it was. It was kind of a tale of two days, or guys Seuss Garshan, Yellow Mirage, you just hit one of the water on the side, hate that, hate that, which I think is kind of the, that was

the first tale of the day was, there was some bite out there this morning, it was some

fresh wind, some, you know, like the course was playing like we thought it was going to play. Like we hoped it was going to play like we're going to be hoping on the last. Yeah, I ever six years how we wished it would play and it did, and then a front rolled in, we got some weather, weather kind of stuck around for longer than anticipated, just kind of some drizzle that just kind of kept lingering, and now it's gorgeous out, we're supposed

to get some wind and it's supposed to be dry tonight, so we may see kind of a wave, you know, is it some of the wave stuff equalized, because it's supposed to be windy tomorrow morning and then calm down in the afternoon, but it, some really good golf play, especially this morning. I felt, I was really, really impressed with with the golf that I watched this morning

from a variety of guys, and I mean, indeed, you were saying earlier, the skill index, I don't

Really know what that is, the skill index sounded like it was, it was, it was...

going on press in it territory today, so off the charts, solid is going to hop in here in a second, and he can probably explain it better than I can, but basically, data golf has a, what are we predicting to happen and what's actually going to happen, and usually

in a dream scenario, or in in most scenarios, that's pretty close to one to one, right?

Like the skills they think are going to be rewarded are rewarded, and therefore, you know, this, this kind of matches up with, with with how they think it's going to go, and today basically, like that, that means it's a one, basically, as it goes, you know, to how they're going to predict, today was like a 2.4 meaning that like the best players were separated, and again, solid can probably give a better explanation, but it was, it was math to prove

that the best players are falling out, essentially at a, at a high level, and so you could also use the eye test for that, just to see the eye test, the top leader board, that you could also do with the numbers and the math do back it up, but before we, we get there,

probably, like I said, it's always going to hop in, we can get a lot more on the ground

stuff, and birdies and bogeys, what actually happened, I got to say from a just golf perspective, maybe the story of the day happened very, very early this morning, just so we don't breeze past it, call them more a kawa, WDs after playing one whole of golf, Neil or Steven's ever happened in the world, RIP to you and all the DFS people, they've had a apology for solid is 12 of his teams are out now, 12 of his 24, so he's, it wasn't

Brian Buster, it was tough, he watched a replay, it's just like a pretty light practice swing, I mean, but it's a media, I mean, he's, he's just, I can't go, man, I just, we're not doing well here, he's locked up, Dege for those that missed it, he played the 10th hole, start on 10, made a par, got to 11 T, like you said, just kind of a rehearsal sort of practice swing and just, you could see it on his face, you could see it his body line,

which is immediately like, that's it, I know exactly what that feeling is, he cut me. I'm out, who's quoted after, after the round saying, I felt fine and warm up, nothing's been any signs of back problems and I teed up on 11 to one practice swing, I just knew it was gone, like I just had the feeling before when it's happened and I just can't swing

through it, trust me, I would play if I could, it's just the worst thing in the world,

yeah, just a bummer and I guess this was a good discussion topic, I don't know if TCU through this in here, but does Randy need to apologize, because Randy, I threw that in there. Oh, you threw that in there. Yeah, not even just a call. I mean, we got the strap for this.

Oxy is other pickups, one that could win had kidney stones, that's out, I mean, it's brutal. I mean, I don't think Randy needs to apologize for Foxy, like being laid up in the hospital with kidney stones. That's, that's a pretty tough thing. No, Randy might need to apologize for picking these players, I mean, it's unbelievable.

I've never seen it like that.

They should be like Foxy into the, into the global home, or into the clubhouse, like the, on that, on that bound. On the balcony. On the balcony. On the balcony.

Yeah. Like the link. Yeah. Yeah, I mean, I don't think I've ever seen that, or, or big red, I mean, I listen, he's not in mid-season four.

He's just getting, he's out of rehab. On a rehab start this week, you know, and he comes in and he picks, he puts his name on two guys and both that up in the hospital here basically. I mean, it's just, I don't know if he happens to the blue guy. So, you know, that's, you know, God, I've never, you're taking flack on Foxy already.

Cause Sally was all, like, you know, he's not a course fit, he's not a proper player. All that. We'll never know. We'll never know. I will sit on this.

I, I have no experience with, I, I think he started with backspasms last year or the year

before. I don't know if this was a backspasm. It sounds like it's something that's flared up again. I don't ever want to know what backspasms are all about, but I trust him when he says, like, man, I can't go.

I got no, like, no problem with shutting it down. It sucks that an alternate couldn't get in, but it's just sounds like a kind of a white squall situation for, for calling that sucks.

I got just the guy to bring in and if we're going to talk some backspasms, never

of now he's shaking his head. He's not quite ready. I'm not, I don't want to sit. Yeah, absolutely. Absolutely.

It doesn't want to, I guess. He's having some spasms. Yeah. He just doesn't want to talk about it. I guess.

Well, you just come in whenever you're ready, but can I say, teach something about it? Just a leaderboard. Please. I mean, it's a really, really interesting leaderboard without the two thoroughbreds, right? Rory and Scotty just kind of didn't show up today.

We can talk about that a little bit later in the show, but there's just a bunch of guys, Maverick McNeely, a win here, just elevates his career. I don't know if it's dude status, but it's like, whoa, man, he's arrived, right? He Hodges, not sure about that one, but stepstruck, the same thing, saw it, the same thing. Smotherman's been making noise.

Justin Thomas could be one of those two time players winters. Russ Henley becomes a dude with a win here. He might be attending. Anding dude status. He might be getting the door to him.

Yeah, cam young and Tony Finau and Ludwig right down the board. Keep going. Yeah. Keep going.

Victor Hoffman.

I don't want to steal the leaderboard stuff, but it feels like that, that midfield, guys that we

want to rise and start to challenge Scotty and Rory to a certain extent are all in the mix

this week. And I really like that. Yeah. I totally agree. Totally great.

The variety of different styles of play, too, is you got, I mean, that's the beauty of TPC saw grass. And that's fully, fully on display with that leaderboard as well. You've got bombers. You've got big tone.

You've got 20 in the tank that he's not even using out there. Look at like he's got a pole of 300. Yeah. What is today? That was a fit.

It had a great fit. Speaking of great fits, we'll get there.

But yeah, I thought the, I mean, even like the stuff this morning, especially right before

the Randallet, I'm standing on 3T and we're with Scotty, JT, and Tommy, and Tommy hits one, and like just absolutely flights one, and the wind was really, really picking up straight out of the West. And then JT gets up, and you can tell he's like, holy shit, they're going to have to blow the horn here within like 25 seconds.

I'm not hitting this shot. It's very enough. They blew the horn and it started pouring about 20 seconds later. But there was some definite like timing, rub of the green kind of stuff earlier. I thought we could have seen one of those Keith Mitchell horn blasts in the in the back swing

at the moment. Yeah, it was a full kind of novel out there today, a lot of chapters of the day. Like you said T.C. I was, I woke up and to saw these questions that he asked in the preview,

like what's the first thing you're going to check out kind of Thursday morning, which

it happened to be max whaling out, I thought my app was glitching out, max holds out for number 10 for an eagle, leads to maybe the weirdest coolness around the day. But other than that, it was like, yeah, the conditions are kind of what we were promised. I was like, Ben and over backwards trying to come up with something other than just strokes gain, strokes gain, strokes gain, which I know can kind of glaze people over.

And I was listening on live from this morning, or golf center or whatever it was this morning. Page McKenzie was talking about just scrambling rate and like scrambling percentage. It should basically was like, if you look at all of the previous years, you know, the scrambling percentage is like very, very steady. It's usually, you know, 60% or so.

These guys get up and down. It was this morning when the conditions were like that, it was down around like 51. And it just is like, I'm like, dude, there's a stat that's like missing greens, fucking matters. Right?

Like, there is a penalty for missing greens. And then you could just see it as, and, you know, that's a small sample size. But it's like, you could just see it as the day goes on, it creeps up a little more, it's 51. It's 52. That's kind of around like 53 and a half or something like that.

But it was, that was just like one indicator and I'm like, okay, this is, we're actually

seeing what I think we're, we're seeing here, which you can also just see from any aerial

shot. You know, it's like, they kept showing the shots of 17 and normally it's just one big shade of green, you know, across that whole part of the property. And today it's like, okay, green, green, green, green, oh, the grass, like on the, on the actual putting surface is a completely different color.

And it just is, you saw, whole three. Some of guys in the water in the same group, wet boys, the wet band, it's out there. Yeah, that was, I forget who was in that group. Gary Woodland, forget who the other three guys were, really other two guys were. But, um, the, one of the first things I saw today was they had some really good drone shots

of, um, I think it was number three and then later on six and, I don't know, the older

I get the more, I, I won't say I was at sawgrass heater, but I was always kind of like,

oh, that's course a little overrated as far as like, I wish they'd take it back to what it used to be with the, you know, kind of scruff and stuff, but if you know, it's three more island greens out there. Oh, it's a, what I'm, what I was going to say is it's, it's, it's might be the most geometrical course on tour and I just aren't many like that.

Like, there's just real sharp lines and real contrast to the dark green grass, the like blue, placid water and then the sand and these, these lines, they just, it's like a canned dinsky painting or something. They just, when, when you show it from above and there's like this weird, like, modern modern art in the bunkers, there's like circles and triangles and stuff and I don't

know, like, maybe the older I get, the more I'm like, just noticing like stuff like that, I, I, I just, I kind of wanted to appreciate it. Like, I, the analogy I would use is I would never want like the Gordon Bond Bay modern house on the beach. I'd want more of like a normal chair, like, you know, Randy, my, with this, with this

revolver related, but sometimes it's like you look at that modern architecture, like that is objectively like it's sick. I, it's not for me. So it was interesting. Yeah.

It's, like, we're, we're, it's different and I, I don't think in the past, I've appreciated that enough about TPC sawgrass.

That was one of the first things I was thinking about this morning, Dave.

Uh, I totally agree.

I was, I was kind of thinking the same thing today where I'm like, you know, if, if

everybody's going to say that, you know, which I'm very much in this camp, even though you can get kind of like, I roll in punchable is, you know, golf courses are works of art. And they're supposed to be this expression of a vision and all of these things. Then you, yeah, you need some that look different. It doesn't mean like everybody, you know, it's not paint by numbers.

And I really love, you know, the old school, golden age stuff, but it's like, you know, it can't help be that or otherwise the world wouldn't be very interesting. And that's what I think. Yeah.

That's where I've kind of grown in with TPC sawgrass too is I think when my, when my opinions

were a lot stronger, I think I looked at that golf course, just like no wrong. You guys don't get it. And now the targets were to original form. I'm like, I don't know, man. Maybe the new owners came in and said, like, we're going to make a modern house now.

Yeah. The older got the more engaged. You both. I think you can still be a little bit more rugged on some of the edges and a little bit more turned up in spots, but also a whole like eight, great example.

It's like one that every time I'm out there, it just grows on me, just a little bit more. There's like a stair step almost walkway or fairway there, and it was a kind of a middle right pin today and you really had to shape one in left the right. And it's a cool hole. And like not nine, I just I continue to think like nine, 11.

It's one of the best sets of parfogs in the world. Right. And he didn't didn't burn any of them today. That was, that was a joy. That was another thing.

It's incredible. Right.

When coverage started, they hit them with the, oh, it's put a driving iron in the bag today.

I'm like 40 and he hit so far left and I was like, just a chloroform, not good ball. And I was like, man, I had done that so relatable. I'm going to put the driving iron in this week. I'm going to hit so many fairways with this thing and you just get, just get out in front of this thing and you know, you know, maybe, maybe Rory throws a, there's a steel shaft

that driver. I don't know. I'm interested to see if that driving iron stays in the bag because it was left there and then he had the left and play on what six. Well, I had it.

I've been again to a lot of left and play. Yeah, you got it a little more under control eventually, but, uh, all right. Sorry.

I had a great transition the first time and I don't know if I have, you guys, you're taking

the left side out of, uh, out of the, out of play. Sorry. How's the update there? Is that, is that happened? I don't know.

And it, it depends on the day, you know, some days the leftness is back some day. I was really upset to let you down on the back injury transition that you had, queued up

there earlier and, uh, somebody would just blame my back for why I pulled out of the last

second year. We got some tech issues solved and we're, we're hopefully right to roll. I don't, don't fly the banner quite yet. Let's see how it goes. I'll agree.

I'll agree to see you out just shaperoning speed around today. I had to feel like we might get to that. I had a feeling about it. I have a lot of, every, I've had a lot of fun. I've just immediately blown up.

Yeah, what's solid doing? Solid, solid, solid got, solid got recommended in the media center. Arms length for the rope. Solid, come on. Yeah.

Let me be clear. I got done dirty by a zoom lens. Trust me. I was not nearly as close as that image.

Look, it does look incredible.

Look at over-drower shoulder shoulder. I don't know. I don't think that number is right. It does. The let me promise you I was way farther away than it made it look on camera.

But I was indeed haunted by the image that made it on television. I worked pretty hard most of the day to make sure I was out on the TV shot. I did not see that camera. He got me. How was, how's it out there, Solid?

What'd you see? You know, it was a delight. And I, I still, you know, we didn't get the conditions. We want, we got a lot more rain for a longer period of time than we thought we would. And I still, I still want to stand here and salute the way the PGA tour set up.

This golf course because they did all they could. They, they truly, I truly feel that way. They, they had it as about as ready to go as possible and it held up a little. I held up well considering the softness and the lack of wind. The guys got on the, on the majority of the afternoon.

So I, I enjoyed so much of the golf. And I'm still, the leaderboard is really, really, really good in the morning. And it was really, I, I was nerding out on the day to golf site. Like it was like off the chart in terms of the best talent was separated. At a level that is just like unimaginable in the early part of the day.

And it, it, of course, died down as the day went along with the rain and things like that. But it was just like all I could ever ask for out of the setup and this tournament. And it, I'm now maybe I'm still vibing a little bit off the good vibes from yesterday as well. And I'm viewing things with more optimistic lens. But it was just, it was, it was a, it was a really nice day out there despite getting quite wet.

No, I thought Neil said it said it well on the, the front of the show. I mean, it's like even without the two horses, like it's kind of what we're saying on the preview shows. Like there is a really, really interesting group of, I almost said dudes lower case D dudes, you know, guys.

Really interesting group of guys that are all kind of right there in the top ...

I mean, it's going to be, it's going to be one of those guys. You know, it seems like and that, that makes for a great weekend and it all is like set up by a great setup. So it should be a really good, like the course is going to bounce back tomorrow. Like I don't think it's going to be a pushover, be a dart fest. Like it's still, yeah, they can, they can pull some levers.

I think, you know, they're just, there was an article on PGA, it's what I commented.

It was like, oh, like it was just a much drier spring here. And I was like, no, it wasn't just that. Like they're doing a lot of different stuff. They've got a new superintendent over there. Like they're like, it's, it's a new era at TPC saw grass as far as as far as the presentation of the golf course goes.

Even some of the pins, if we just got the round two holocations and they're putting the pin back again on six on 17,

which normally it's, it's in the front, you know, at least one of the first two days and two of two of the four days.

We'll see what they do Saturday and I assume it's, it'll be back right on Sunday. But like, I think that's, that's something else of like, I like that was a great whole, whole location today that back left. A location because you got to get it up above that ridge or else it's going to spin down to the front or you're going long and you're one hopping over the. You know, yeah, it's all you want to have a very healthy discussion about the back pin on seven. Yeah, I felt like it, it, it, it's later on the afternoon, it did play a little bit more fair.

And again, I don't like, like to use that, but I, I get a little bored when it gets really firm on 17 on that back pin because like the shot is just on a side. I just went in the slope in the middle and it's, it's too exact.

It's like unrealistically exacting to the point where like at, at one point in the day, I think I said it over.

It was like five birdies, 33 par seven bogies and a couple others and it's really just like hit the kind of front of the green and two put it from there. And it, it, it's not, um, when you add a little bit more softness and a little bit later in the day, you saw guys trying to fly it back there.

You saw Keith Mitchell go long and then on his second ball barely barely held up one up.

But it is, I think it's a, it's not the best green in the world. I think it's kind of a flawed back section of that green and I don't think there's a ton of on a Thursday Friday to the back hole locations. Somebody's like really factoring in a ton of risk reward in this time period, like you're playing the tournament probably relatively conservatively and I think watching it on on repeat could be a little bit of a bore. That's, that's my kind of stuck up take on on 17. I think that's fair.

I do. I think that there's, you could convince me that the back pins should only be on Friday when it's like, don't give us some, give us some fireworks on Thursday, give us some fireworks on Saturday. I give us the hard pit on, you know, on Sunday. I kind of do like when they do that, but in the interests of like it's a major, let's make the scoring average higher. Let's make this a more demanding shot. That is the more demanding shot for sure, you know, or the more demanding three. And it, you know, it puts pressure like JT three put it from there today.

I mean, 24 footer for birdie and like there's, I think I like having the similar. Presentation for both Thursday and Friday. If we're going to get a potential wave split like this, we're going to get like I think the guys that played in the morning were a distinct disadvantage today. And those guys should be in an advantage tomorrow. But I think the guys that play in the morning tomorrow when it's windy and it'll be an opposite wind, but that'll be a more interesting shot to me with the opposite wind tomorrow of kind of east northeast.

So we're getting, we're getting the weeds here. We had 16 balls in the water off the T on on 17 today 18 total in the water, which I think about spun back off the front. That means they, I'd like to put shame it down a little bit more in the front, but you're little by little, Neil. Little by little. I just progress, TC, definitely progress. I was thinking about it today. I was like, you know, with everything you hear from the tour, I'm like, we're just really. We're going to look at all these ingredients. What makes a great tournament? What, you know, we're going to be relentless in our pursuit of chasing these these different product ingredients.

I'm like, okay. Well, that's about, you know, just 15-ish percent T shots in the water.

I'm like, I've never thought about it like that. I'm like, that's what we need.

It needs to be 15 percent. Okay. If it dips below that, we got a big problem.

We're able spoons of T shots in the water. If you just, I'm just thinking about it like that, it just makes it way further to me. If it's everybody who puts a pack of the grout is like, you, you're going to be among, you might be among the 15 percent. We'll see. Yeah. 85 percent chance you're not going to hit in the water. But you know, I'm like, well, that's, that's a pretty good risk. You know, if you don't get this easy percent today, we're going to get 25 percent more.

Exactly. That was going to make their quota here. You made a good point about that back pin being boring.

If these guys being disciplined, they're just going to hit it to the right in...

But then, though, I thought the broadcast had a good job of flagging like, how many over most of these guys are on 17?

Like, it's still in a lot of guys heads. Like, Brooks, he's been 20 over in 20 tries and out of their head. Like, any McCarthy is, he's, they almost jinxed him, but he's hit the green there. Like, are you playing into the commercial now? 24 times. What? Can't get out of my head? No, I'm not. I was being serious. Like, I thought, I thought the same thing, like, I agree with what Sally is saying. These guys are really good backpin off limits.

I'm just going to hit it to the front. But then they show kind of the over 10 years how this whole still takes its scalps when, you know, over time. Like, I just missed the shot. You know, it is, it is in their head, D.C. Now I'm doing a bit.

And I think anybody who makes a really big number on 17 is probably about ready to get back to the clubhouse for an ice cold high noon.

Guys, because we are also, we're also brought to you today by our friends at high noon. So I saw that I could do stuff. I'm smart. I could do thing. Make the day a good day with the all new high noon day pack, new variety eight pack will soon be available year round to keep the sun shining. Neil, we need it. I need one of my favorites. Guys, I think this is going to lead to a couple of a couple of different conversations here. If we're looking at the top of this leaderboard and the tip top of this leaderboard, we've got Mad McNeely.

Lee Hodges, Seb Straker, Saat Tagala and Austin Smotherman. I believe has a that play has been called.

Believe he's got a 15 footer to take the outright lead, but currently it five under. Which of those guys gets you most excited about this weekend? Tuesday, I'll start with you. Ah, Saat. It goes fucking electric. No. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Saat, I know you watched some of it up close. Like what do you see?

It was awesome, man. I mean, I've watched a lot of Saat that I all every time I do watch them. I'm like, yeah, you are electric, but you are not in control. You're golf ball man. It's fun to watch. But you don't really know where it's going. And today it was like, you know, he had a great shot into the back left pin on three made birdie. Birdie's his first three holes. And then he drives the left on four into the rough. And I was like, all right, here we go.

Like we're about to see the Saat and he just said they're this ball out of the left rough down the chimney shoot. Barely over a mound to a back right pin that he had really no business chasing in and missing the put. And then he gets up on five drives in the fairway bunker. We were we were struggling with the driver in this part of the round and gets up there and hits a really, really good approach shot. Out of the fairway bunker had some really nice spin on it again.

Did not hit a great putty or he walks off five like having stuffed it on the first five holes. And he could have been five under he, I think the T.C. was in play.

And then we get to six. He's playing with Jordan and he's playing with Ricky and he should never be allowed to play with Jordan, by the way.

You're like two months or four. Or they should have to play like President's cover right up together. Yeah, sorry. That's usually all shot together. Yeah, Ricky and Speath are both in the fairway so saith and they both hit these really cool shots that both get right up to the whole earth.

Ricky and Speath almost hold her on six, but they both sucked back eight to 12. I mean Jordan sucked back by 15 feet and saith steps up and hits this like the balls little above his feet. And hits this kind of cool trappy little draw that goes towards the center of the green and kind of lands going forward. And it had like the delayed juice.

I mean, you can see this shot chakra on the screen right now. That's how the ball worked in there from right to left.

Had the delayed juice and didn't have the rip directly backwards to have like a soft rip going towards the hole. And I was like, oh my god, my guy is in control of the golf ball. And he dropped another one, a gorgeous fade in there on the eighth hole. And it was, it was the thrill of the day was watching saith hit the ball. And it just, he's got a little man wooly in him.

You don't know if this isn't going to last 72 holes, but it lasted 18 and I'm an extremely intrigued and DJs in shambles. I mean, that was the known takeaway was he's completely in shambles over this development. I mean, he didn't make, he didn't make, make par.

He didn't make a bogey, but that, that's the third shot out of that of the straw.

Just to get it on the green and they three put it was top three shots I saw today. I was just more thinking about the second shot that put him in that spot. But that's neither here nor there. So I cannot tell a couple things. One, I cannot tell you how fucking stoked bones was to be calling his route.

It was awesome.

Like it truly infectious.

Every time he hit an iron shop, bones are just like, man, this guy. He's just going right at the pin again. This man, this guy's fearless. It was great. When bones get, he doesn't get fired up too often.

What he does, it's really, really fun. He pulled out on 12. We even got to that one. He did it two on 12. That was such a bad shot.

He literally mouthed right back to his caddy man. That was so bad. I know when you say like he's in control of his golf balls. Like, well, every time I look up, he's in the left bunker on nine. I'm like, what the hell's going on here?

He's like, okay, I'm looking at the numbers. 3.9 plus 3.9 strokes gained approach. Well, then what I'm seeing is he's like the mentalist.

He's like, oh, he's like, oh, he's like, how'd you do?

How'd you pull my arm? How'd you pull that name out of that football cake? You know what I mean? It's like, what the, what the hell? Oh, it was good.

It was good. It was. I do. It was good. I think I saw someone calm.

It was on TV. Anyway. Yeah, I got my face, if so. Yeah, Neil, I'm, I'm with you in that, like, Sorry, it's, it's pulling it out of his ass.

But the numbers say one thing. Yes. I can't, it doesn't, it doesn't add up. It's great. And I think there, this is kind of again.

Like, circle back to somewhere we were talking about with sawgrass is like, What course would you rather watch saw his in contention on the more, more than this one? I mean, that is like signed me up, man. It's going to get, it's going to get electric.

You got little whiffs of it today. But some of those parfives are just hanging on for, you know, hanging off the side of the airplane. And we got, we got some. We got all sorts of people in the chat saying that Neil is right.

He pronounced it. As I think I might be, I'm not going to sit on it. But I, what? Yeah. I, I, I, there's only one way that we can solve this.

I'll, I'll run a poll to, you know, the internet is never wrong.

I'll run a poll. No, no, I just heard it pronounce those and it shocked me. And I'm a big fan of that guy because he rocks my world.

And that's what saw his doing with his golf game.

Just rock. We will not apologize. Yeah. If this is, I don't know, I can continue to show until we have clarity of this. But yeah, I'd be wrong on that one.

Wouldn't be the first time. Well, I'm also among the leaders, Mav. I mean, I feel like we've talked Mav. You know, we even talked Mav's golf game. His mustache.

Right. It's such a good look. Like I said, I'm like, oh, my, that's like vintage pile. Oh, look at that. And he's just, he's like, you like it.

I was like, I love it. I think it's, I think that needs to stay. I think it looks like our friend, the party panther a little bit to me. It's what he's with. He's kind of got some small time like small town Sheriff or, you know,

small town. Not even Sheriff. He's more deputy. It's like he's young on the horse. Or friend Lou Turner there.

Lou, we'll get to you. I think you lift a little bit on your forecast today. I think that's right. Well, no, I don't have a whole hell of a lot to add because I feel like we've, we've talked about Mav a lot as he's been playing really good golf and

been in contention a lot, but man, another, another big moment, another big step and would love to just see him continue to be this guy. You know, it just feels like there's, there's career defining stakes on the line for 80% of the guys on, you know, in the top 15, let's say. And that's that's awesome.

Yeah. And with Mav specifically, it just feels like his floor is, I mean, obviously, it's floor is just like so much higher than it's ever been. This just doesn't, this feels incredibly normal for him to do.

Can I, can I say one thing though, because just back to saw it for a second?

I think that I wrote for him and I, I just wish there were more players that are, were that magnetic when they're on TV, but saw the 20 bucks right now. I mean, would you bet it on him to win? Do you know what I'm saying? Like, yes, for sure. No, yes, I agree with you. No, I would not think of that.

Right. And that's what stuff is like, I'm like, I just don't know if it's sustainable.

And that's what's so devastating about it. I feel like I'm hating, but it's like, I don't know man. Well, welcome to the party man. It's good to have you on my block here. This is, I love it. Like, I don't own on it. Exactly. I don't root for speed and saw it because I think they're about to win. I, I root because it's a thrill ride and I feel things when they're when I'm on that ride.

But speed was like unstoppable for a while. You know, like, that's, maybe the, a bit of a, and he's close. He's really close. He was close and I made that double on 18. Can I say something weird about the players and the leader board and whatever? I feel like the players is like a six round tournament compared to other tournaments.

The players are long tournament. It is has many different phases. And, you know, there's guys that can sneak up and almost steal it on Sunday that you haven't really been following through three rounds. And I don't know exactly why that is, but it is one that, because there's just so much unpredictability. But from hold a hole, you can be playing great and still make a double or triple very easily that it's just such a long tournament that we might not even be talking about saw it comes Saturday. Who do you think the favorite is right now?

Good to guess.

Looking at the odds.

Yeah.

I'm not looking, I'm not looking forward.

Yeah, you look at the board, not the odds. Okay, Russ, Russ, Emily. I bet it's. Russ, Emily. I was going to say.

Last nine, 50. Goty next plus one thousand, uh, set the next plus 1200. Set mav him young, all plus 1200 Ludwig after that.

So, let me ask you a question a different way, because I think it'd be unfair to be like,

"Will you right now bet that saw it's going to win for 20 bucks?" Okay, that's right. I think the one. My question though, is like, do you think this stroke's game approach is third over all today? Do you think he's going to stay in the top five over four rounds?

Because he's, you know, his putting was average. Like he was, you know, uh, like probably not like top 10, I would say. I would say five would be like he'd probably spend a win if he, if he was in the top five with, how good of a short game he has. Top 10, I'd say.

I mean, it was, it was impressive today. It really was. And, uh, it didn't feel like he was hanging on by a thread. It may have looked like that on TV, but it just didn't feel that way. Because it was raining and like the whole routine.

He was wiping the club face 50 million times.

Cady doing the umbrella over the ball. Like it was a lot of variables going on. And he was controlling his spin and approaches better than any, like better than two world class iron players he was playing with as well. And it was great on his hardest holes too.

Yeah. If you think I'm going to get past the math part on Thursday without mentioning that he was my pick greater than 50 or one to win. Uh, you're, you're absolutely wrong. I don't know if I can, I can do this.

Uh, you know, mentioned this tomorrow or Saturday. I'm going to get it in now. Just a reminder that that was my guy above.

The only thing I'm concerned with with Mav is Mav only had five fairways today.

Now, I don't think they were a greaseless Mrs or whatever. But, like, saw hit hit more fairways than Mav. Um, same with SEP that was his, his thing too. I mean, usually drives it pretty straight. And today was all over the place in scrambled is scrambled is face off.

Uh, SEP kind of, I was telling you guys earlier. SEP kind of reminds me of just the, the old players champions of you were, you know, the, the, the, Fred Fung Tim Clark K. J. Choi house.

He makes up in this corner.

No, no, no, I just, I just mean that. I don't even know how to describe what I mean. He's just kind of like, yeah, not like it's not tiger and fill win in every year. It's like those guys. So I'm like, yeah, he's kind of like one of those guys really good.

You know, there's no one that wins the players. He's just like a complete joker. So it's just like, oh, yeah. You know, yeah, you know what it's like when see when see we want a little bit. When people are like, yeah, yeah, yeah.

He's right player. Yeah, for sure. He can complete jokers. You know, I saw today. Elk.

Oh, I'm really running from this. Yeah. Uh, God, excuse me. I'm going. I'm flipping through the, uh, maves whole body.

I'm not concerned about the driving accuracy. It's like they weren't just misses. Yeah. I have some devastating. It's a report.

Oh, no. Meals right. No, it's right. Oh, it was the dead list. God.

Oh, good clock twice a day. Gentlemen, come on. You can tell us an official apology. Wait, this is a really important moment. TC.

We need to expertise here. How do we get out of this without apologizing? How do we do it? Oh, we, we just, what we typically say on the trap draw is that I've got that. That's the sub area's mood right now because we've heard it.

We've read it. And, you know, that's, that's kind of how this is. This is so vindicating. I love it, man. I was like, man, I think that's right.

I'm not saying anything because I've had it. I've taken some else lately. That one, though, feels real good. Deep down. That's good.

Hey, real quick on Mav TC. You guys might have missed it because you're out at the course. But ESPN plus in an awesome job of talking about Mav and scout coming in this year with like an actual game plan of, hey, we don't need a birdie every single hole.

We don't need to be in the right position every single time. We just seriously need to take these dumb doubles that has constantly snuck on up on them out of play and him and scout. Like, they have a game plan that seems like they executed it perfectly today.

So, yeah, not. Not his couch. They're busy right now. I don't remember. I wasn't a scout.

I think I'm going to, I'm going to miss. I just got the O's thing right now. I'm going to get this ass on or off. But we don't look down. We don't look down.

We're getting, yeah. I don't know. I don't know. I'm asking. I'm asking.

I don't know. I think it was only a wee below. Is one boy scouts and one girl scouts? I'm not sure. I can't remember.

We'll take that off. All right. We're off the rails. I'm sorry. Lee Hodges leads the field and putting right now.

Just getting that out there.

So, if you want to throw a sustainability model's flag,

you would be more than welcome within your rights to do that. I think it does in the category. If he's there Friday night, we can talk about it. Yeah, about that. Heck, heck of a round of golf.

Austin Smotherman also just plain really good golf, but also WD from Bay Hill with a back injury.

Now back playing great golf again.

So, we'll see. By the way, speaking of back injuries and just stuff like that. I've a, I won't Monday Q and Foam Billy Horish will go back and forth on XD everything up today. Ryan from Monday Q.

He's got a lot of time T.C. Unfortunately for you.

I believe Ryan's take was that all the T.G.

L players seem to be getting back injuries, which I don't, you know, there's a, I don't know if it's a causation correlate. You might pick some station nearby like the whole. Exactly.

Exactly. I'm not saying he's wrong. It's interesting. Billy did was not buying it. But I did, I did love the take.

I encourage Ryan to keep, keep shooting.

Even with them as always.

I'm trying to see what the, possible connection would be there. The substitution. Well, he was saying like, Electromagnetic pulse, you know.

Guys who are, who many are chasing speed. Like they're trying to, they're trying to find speed to hit it harder into the screen, basically. I don't subscribe to it. I'm just, that's just what he's got.

I think you guys chasing speed for, for, for peace. I mean, but all kinds of people on purpose has not gone doing indoor simulator and tried to hit it as hard as they can into the screen. Like he's got to add up, you know.

Yeah. He said these guys are on track, like track man or foresight or whatever. All the time. Like every time they practice, they go. Most of the time outdoors though.

There's a lot less, uh,

you don't really know where the ball's going indoors.

You know, you could just hammer in this. You know, it's like, I might have missed that one big. Not in the garage. Not in the garage. Not in the garage.

I've, I've been myself on that one a couple of times.

Missed a net. See what happens there. Uh, T.C. Tarsha, take us down the Leerboard for a little bit. Then we got to, we got a couple of other directions.

Yeah, we got J.T. Uh, impressive round from J.T. I thought it just built a, built a very coherent round of golf in tough conditions. And, you know.

And, uh, as I so can't get over Scotty practicing in the rain for a long time after his round. Like Scotty was Scotty was actually a little, he was acting a little defeated at times. And then Scotty was acting in a little bit.

Um, Kiki at times, too. Yeah. Come to Miss Putt, which was great. Like I like that.

I'm for that. Um, he's trying to win you back, T.C. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

At least got a long way to go. Uh, creative. So clothing. That's what we want, right? T.C.

Exactly.

Our hero did not live up to the standard.

That we had created for him. Yeah. I didn't see much of Kami Young's rounds. I can't, can't comment too too much. He's out there doing it.

We were 68. Yeah. He's my pick to win. So I'm happy to see him in the mix. Love it.

Yeah. But we, we'll, we can feel differently about Scotty. If, if he was in the, like, So the afternoon split wave was the difference is about, like, 1.6 shot.

It looks like, you know, if he's even, if he was, like, When, like, come on, guys, he's sitting right there. I'm asking for quite a bit of the round. And like, it didn't feel like it's in the second shot. He hinted too was like horrendous.

Yeah. He's a striver. So he had it, they had the right miss and play all day. Yeah. And it's really, he, that follow through, which, you know,

it's never made sense to me how the number one player in the world can,

just follow through that way. But it, it looks like he's, he's really fighting it to, to keep it off the right side. You know, he's, we did notice this, like, though, out watching Scottie, like, watching his swing on television isn't, like,

Wow, like, it's not Louis Hustes. And it's not, it doesn't like blow your way. It's unique. It's different. But like, the, the gracefulness of it in person is not worthy.

But just seeing it, watching it on my own. All they answer in the world. Yeah. For, like, for the record, I love it. I can't get enough of it.

Just, just, it's a violent thrash. It's awesome. It's, it's both like violent and it's ballet, T.C. It also was just a good reminder of, like, getting back in person, getting eyes on golf shots because he hit this approach into 16.

When was hard off the right? His third shot. Ball was below his feet. And it just makes this move at it. And it comes off so pure.

The sound is incredible. And it's like right at the flag. And I'm like, all that probably has a little cut on it. And it's going to hold up against the wind. And it gets like drifting just like a yard left of the pan.

And he's got his hand off the club already of, like, now, that's off. Like the margins out there. So insanely thin. Sure, not fit.

I mean, it was like, it went like 25 feet left on the fringe, but it, like, the shot was rejected. And he knew it immediately, even though, like, to my eye. It looked like a really freaking good shot. It's just, it's, it's very, very difficult at that level.

That was a great pan on 16 today too. So a Tommy made eagle. I think set, set made eagle there. There was a couple of chip ends there. But like, they're just really good back right.

The whole location that was killer. You didn't need to go about it on the leaderboard. Like, I'm buying what I'm seeing from JT. I think, you know, look.

We saw this.

It looks quite a drop on 16 today as well.

T.C. if we wanted to report that. Yeah, we're, we're, we're, we're, Santa there of Soli and, and Brody Miller and I,

we were like, oh my god, are we going to get where did it cross?

Twitter? Because that was the same spot that D.V. straight vibe in. And who was he with a few years ago? I think Victor. Victor.

And who hit them all? I can't run. I could buy this in two seconds. But anyway, like JT hit a bad one. You know, way short short right into the lake.

And it was, we're very keen to see where he, he was going to drop. I think he dropped in the correct location. If not, he was far back. Yeah.

I was like, very good served. I was like, I think he can get more out of that. Yeah. I got him and mentioned him yet. Ludwig.

I think he's back. It's true.

Like officially, he didn't.

He made some really good parpots today. Miss some. Very makeable birdie pots that showeder than the parpots. And just seems to be like back to doing luck. Like like Ludwig stuff clean round of golf in the morning.

Wave, you know, kind of in the in the toughest part of it. Just patience stuff. Ball striking is face off. Yeah. Good stuff there.

What do you guys think of big tones outfit? Love it. You're going to go on the board. It was the classic like, if I did that, it would, they would put me in jail.

But I'm glad I've sincerely glad the big tones do it. It made me and pull it up. Don't say do it. I'll say, 100%. 100%.

It's almost five. It's amazing. A row, which is really cool. What if it's that's the DJ5? But even eight birdies today.

That's that's notable. Yeah. I'll put that a TC and a reverse TC back. Yeah. Four birdies and then four bogies in a row.

Both in a row consecutive. Eight, eight holes without a par there. That's Victor. I don't have Victor's. Victor's outfit look great as well.

Victor played well. Zander played well. It doesn't seem like the, like, still doesn't seem like the putters. That's really cooperating. Hit the chairman.

Bill Mal. Playing well. Yeah. Bill Mal and the cat man. I.

I. Bud Colley. Can't count the guy out. You got. I skipped over Tommy.

Do you guys want to talk about Tommy? I'm not really. I mean, I think it's been. It's been in play and really bad. And today played really good.

Let's see what happens tomorrow. I think a little bit. A bit of a deferral on Tommy. He was. We did pick him up on 16.

He played the next three holes four under. Wouldn't he see that picked about? Yeah. And then he missed a very makeable birdie pot on one birdie to hit an absolute seed on three. There.

And then back to back bogies on four and five. So kind of cool off after the little delay there. But I think Tommy's. Tommy's right there in the mix. He's.

He's looking cool to see him when TC. Of course. It would. So that's his.

I think it's about as far down as we need to go at this point.

Oh, my. Just. Just. I think Max. I think Max is round is worth.

Worth calling out. It was. I got the specifics here. Yes. All right.

It starts his day with a whole out from 1309 yards on 10. So I was saying, you know, when you're asking us on Monday.

What's the first thing you're going to check?

That was kind of a like one eye open. Roll the roll the wake this morning. And like three hundred through two. They haven't. How did that work?

Bernie's 11. Yeah, to get to three hundred through two. Then he doubles 12 without hitting it in the water, which is, which is impressive. Uh, bogeys 14 doubles 15. Uh, makes the turn bogeys one.

Uh, to get to now he's three over for the day, which is where again. I kind of that was the second time I checked in and just like, oh, I get it. Okay. I guess it's over. Uh, that he he makes.

He birdies five of the next seven. Uh, including four birdies in a row. So you. Uh, you made the case. He may have gotten nervous to accomplish the TC.

Sure.

I think and then he comes, you know, bogeys is last all the day.

Uh, number nine to end up shooting one under. Uh, just a, a shocking round of golf. From our guy there. So it seems like a lot of good and maybe some loose loose components. Uh, I would shout out also just real quick.

Uh, golf channel. I was watching golf central this morning before coverage came on. And they aired this video of Max interviewing tiger all about the greatest shots he's ever hit. And tiger just giving like long detailed answers with the highlights going back and forth. And it was one of the coolest videos I've ever seen.

I thought it was going to be like 30 seconds. And it just kept going for like 10 minutes. And it's, and every one that you're like, oh, man, I hope they do like the Canadian open. They would do the Canadian open. Oh, I hope they do firestone.

They would do firestone. It's fucking awesome. It's up on golf channel YouTube. I tweeted out as well. Like must watch.

It was so excited to watch this. It was one of my videos. It was one of my videos I filmed this.

I think it I rive.

I think the first like outdoor establishing shot is like the club has it rive.

But it's great. I didn't even take it to it.

And it's also one of those things that like, I was kind of just like halfway through watching it.

I'm just like think back, you know, seven, eight, nine, ten years ago and just be like, oh, that's our guy max. Just interviewed tiger about all the greatest shots he's ever hit. It like a long form setting. Yeah, that's just like totally normal thing.

It's just very funny. Very, very cool video. To piggyback off that beach. People are listening now. People, people, things are changing.

Like the golf world at the P.J. to a level is changing. I'm on so many different fronts. This is, I, you guys are down there. You're all freaking cool. I just need you to take.

Let's just give it a little. Oh, I love that energy. I love that energy. I was just in the last night. He was brilliant. I'm looking for him in the beginning. Oh, I agree.

I have no, I was impressed with the press conference and stuff. But, and I love what I'm hearing. I like the vision, but vision and execution are two different things. But I'm just hoping that we don't. I can still get water down.

I, I love the excitement. I'm just trying to be, you know, the, maybe a voice of like,

Yeah, just, yeah, the second carried away.

I'm just going to say, speaking of carry in things. Neil, if you're going on any golf trips this summer. Like, we're, like, we're going to be going on. We've got a trip to Northwest England coming up. We've got a trip to an undisclosed tourist

I need a sleeve and a glove glove glove. Just set it up the way flat. I need a sleeve and a glove glove glove glove on board. It's just like it just gets his. It's just a life flag.

It's all in. You've been using the stiff arm or not. You were not a stiff arm guy, right? Still never uses the stiff arm. Yeah.

I think they take care of my clothes. So I'm with you. I don't either. Really? I can't believe can't really come without it.

I'm like T.C. I trust my airline to handle my clubs. And they always do. I don't know where to. Neil, we're, we're kind of going back and forth today on.

You know, I don't know how we're going to build this into a segment. But we're like, it's not really things that are sick. It's, it's not really like he observations. Just kind of stuff I saw stuff I wrote down. I know you got a lot of it was I said things that are sick.

It's like T.C. So I watched a lot of golf. And I was like, I don't know where this fits, but I thought it was funny. And I love it. I don't want you to give me a couple.

What do you got? What do you got the notebook today? All right.

First up, it hit me just in the face.

Sally, you were standing right after I saw you looking over growling shoulders. But they showed the view of the approaching to six. The palm trees on surroundings number six are sick. It's such a striking contrast to how. Number, like how tall the trees are and they're spaced out in a kind of a weird way.

It looks like a doctor's shoe's book. It does.

And I, Cody, I think I sent you a graphic of saw his approach.

But just it just looks magnificent. And I don't think that six, everyone's talking about the tree up by the team. I want to talk about the trees by the green. Those are sick. Dege, what do you got?

Got a lot of directions. There they are. A lot of directions we could go. And you'd be remiss not to mention them putting the tree back in on the T. Well, I was saying everyone's talking about that tree.

Yeah. Which is an awesome tree. But I'm like, man, these trees, this whole, this whole like art exhibition up here with the palm trees by the green is not getting enough love. You know what I'll ever trees jacks to and love those trees. You know what I'll shout out Neil is I hate to take it in a negative, a negative direction here.

But Davis Riley and Emile, Emile on a grill shot 84 today. Get your 84 jerseys out. That is sick. We're five, five rounds above 80 today. And what made this kind of sick too is like T.C.

We were talking earlier and this is not a shot at T.C.

I fully agree because he had like an awesome rookie season.

He's just got like he just seems like he fits the field.

Yeah. T.C.

You know, I'm talking to all these people and they just like don't understand.

Like why Davis Riley isn't like there. What he's doing. Like why? Why? Why hasn't he like bigger than that?

And today I was just scrolled at a layerboard. Like 84 like that's tough. Not quite ready for you. Quite ready. 4 doubles in a triple.

And it was. He was. But he finished T2 in a major last year. It's just, you know, since then I think he's missed 11 cuts.

He finished T2 with the PGA. Oh, it wasn't real major. Sure. He's got he wanted his real. Yeah.

Yeah. I had a T like T6 on an absolutely nowhere this year. That Sony. And like I said, just like. What?

One of the Zerac right and looked really good in his rookie year.

And I'm just. It just doesn't seem like a guy that'd be should be shooting 84. Uh, runner up to Scotty. He's got a deal as a junior. Is that right?

Yeah. I remember the. A big talking point with him was that he. He and Scotty when added to kids. I love it.

Hey, listen. I'm hot tonight. That might be nice. I'm hot tonight. It also.

Scouts honors three fingers. I got word three fingers. So we were right on that one too. Let's go three for three double down. Uh, they exactly right again.

They'll show her beat of Dallas when the last four holes.

I'll show you something about the beat Davis. Right. It's like an episode of limit list. Go to it right now. Uh.

He also got like an in turn next. That's just feeding won't. Shit. Yeah. Let me.

Let me snake it back because I see Cody's got the photo pulled up. But there were a couple. A couple playing throughs today. That were just a static shot of the clubhouse. They were like.

We're going to do a play through. And then they just left that that like still up for. Comey. Very scutted. So that anyways, that was one.

What else you got? Uh, what I'll say. So we talked about Holland shirt, but I got a visual of it. I want to shout that out. Also very sick.

Holland leading the field and strokes gained around the green. Which I know it's one round. But that's fun. And there may be some noise in there. I may have hold in on on this exact clip.

But hold in. Hold out. Hold out. Hold out. I got that one wrong.

These feelings. Let me go. That was it. I just got tongue tied there. That's don't do that.

That's classless. T.C. But I thought that was cool.

That Havlin was leading the field and strokes gained around the green.

That is good. God. I feel like all mine are just so negative here. Were they piping bird noises in? That's on my list.

T.C. That's not a good word from from solid. The bird sounds were outrageous. The broadcast couldn't stop talking about him. It sounded like turkey vultures in all kinds of weird birds.

Was solid able to verify this? Is there anything or an authority? Once I got Neil's message. I was like, oh, there are a lot of birds chirping around here. Believe it or not.

I don't notice these things and don't think about these things. Despite all of the messages I get on Instagram for many people. Thank you. T.C. You sent me a bird video this week as well.

I really appreciate that. I didn't notice until you said it. But I'm like, yeah, there sounds a springer in the air out here. I don't know what to yell at. I'm going to shout out.

You're captain Keegan made a nine today on 11 just completely. Hit it all over the map through that one out there for you as just a. Yeah. It doesn't seem to be going great for. That's a rare season.

One thing in this list. Delayed juice. Yeah. The Delayed spin in person. Pete the fans.

Lovely. Absolutely. The kids take it. We know that since since we play with JT and Coppola. Oh, they always love it.

We spin it back. But not just spin it back. It's the suspense. Like, you know, Ricky, especially got a bunker shot. If you can find a way to watch it on five.

It's about a 40 yard bunker shot. He hits it like 50 feet past the hole. And it like kind of skips long of the green. And then it just like sits in place for a second. And then just goes in reverse.

Like, with the Delay on it and the Delay adds that extra layer of. Woo. I wouldn't read it. Roll it back. I wanted to shout out the punch out at 18.

It saw grass as always. They must watch. Sure.

It always feels like it's going to go in the water.

It feels like one of the hardest shots on the course to truly. Like the most thrilling punch out in goal. It would be. Punch out. A lot of those like seem like they want to go left.

Anyways, that whole fairway cance right to left. It all runs down to the water. It just is like so easy to hit that. Too hard and punch it straight in the water. It's just a shot.

I love. I just think of this now. I put it in a suggestion box for the superintendent. But the course is so green. It's just.

Make that part of the fairway on 18 brown. You know, so it's just so like making it even harder. Yeah. Well, you know, they make this spot brown because this is the hardest punch out of golf. It's a great idea.

Right. Just that one that one area of the course would be.

Yes.

What if they made it as well?

Sure.

I mean, yeah or like like we said with the notched with the notched collar.

Like you could just put some strips of asphalt. Like if it runs away, cramp. Yeah, exactly. It revert the opposite. I mean, I almost got gone.

Randy's prediction on somebody falling in early because JT's ball was incredibly Incredibly close to falling in on 18 and got a lot of a lot of messages on that one. Who you said Max McGrivi was close to, right? Wasn't he? Max McGrivi was at the end of the day on 17.

Yeah. He was who stand on the boards. Dig. I got one this. I mean, you've been talking about this for a month.

This came across my desk. Just this week. The, the Jasper as the Mr. A to Z avocado waste management avocado commercial. Just double your mouth. Just double your mouth.

It's out of these days. It's outrageous. But I just want to shout out this fit. I mean, he looks like from succession. What's the answer?

Oh, I agree. Adrian Hardly way. Adrian Brody on fire island. He's got like nine layers on here.

And I've never seen Mr. A to Z without the fedora.

Yeah.

So this hat selection is killing me too.

Like at just a lot going on here. He's harvested avocado's. And I'm getting beat up with this video on pgator.com. And now I can't unsee it. And you've been.

You kept saying, hey, Neil, your guy, Mr. A to Z like on slack. Like for the last month. I had no idea what you're talking about. I've just been like in a, in a cave or something. Oh, shit man.

I got a couple other things on my list. But if you're going to team me up again. T, C, I'm receiving word. We've got a new fedora five. Wow.

It's going there. Yeah. The fedora five. Of course, T, C's index of the five hottest players right now. Only rolled out whenever the situation declared.

We just had one. I don't know if he's looking to amend some mistakes or get out from under that one. Or if he just saw new stuff today.

Either way, T, C take that.

No, we, we have one four days ago. There were, there were no fedora's for sale in the March 10. Today was disappointing. I was hoping for for some sort of branded players fedora or 17 island green fedora nothing. Guys, we're not going to do the practice squad tonight.

We'll only do that in certain occasions. But I just think the conditions. Belt right for it tonight. So without further ado. So I saw his number five.

Great. I think he is extremely hot right now. It could evaporate like you guys said at any moment. But right now he is among.

That's why we needed a fedora five tonight.

Yeah. If we once saw him in there, it's got to go tonight. Exactly. And what was the sponsor invites into the fedora five? What was all he was saying that was, that was false.

We've received what. I don't know if it's actually or not. He would have gotten through the pineapple five if he didn't get in through that. The garden on the bottom of the pineapple. Yeah.

Well, there actually there was a bunch of pineapple merchandise. And I was like, we don't have pineapples here. Like that's not a. There's no pineapples growing. You might have to use that.

Yeah. I think we have more pineapples than you think. Yeah. You might not know about it. Yeah.

It's an A on activation. Yeah. Next up at four. We've a tie. Jackson Claude.

Jackson Claude. We went on the hit intercollegiate earlier this week. Is that right across the street? Yeah. Yeah.

I guess. Yes. I don't think there's anybody in the world whose game probably fits this place better than Jackson Coven. And then he's tied with Seth and Casey Jarvis. So we have a three way tie at four.

Three way tie at four in the in the top five. So so I have the seventh then. No, he's fifth. Yeah. Rick Ricky Castillo.

I love taking it three. Yeah. Great. It would even Ricky Castillo. Two hundred something today.

Yeah. He's just really solid under the golf. One hundred. Next up. Ludwig.

Okay. This is a current and also future looking index. Ludwig's getting hot, guys. I think he's going to win this week. And lastly, P. He's number one.

So P is one emeritus. Yeah. It's going to take so much to unseat P. When was last time P played? It played in Joburg.

Joburg. Yeah. Okay. Top 10. Top 10.

Almost a national open. Real open. Yeah. Yeah. How dare I question that.

Yeah. All right. Well, there you go. There's tonight's set. And I looked at, you know, we had live, live Singapore.

Really hard lay out this week. It's in Tosa. Bryson and Rama are both. Pied for the lead right now at minus four. With Richard T. Lee and Lee Westwood.

Just a lock going on there. But yeah, I didn't didn't think anybody on live warranted. Uh, warrants and inclusion in the fedora five. But listen, something could happen overnight tonight.

Right.

Very well.

May have another one tomorrow.

We'll see. But for now, that is your fedora five. What, what happened to Casey Jarvis? He did. He did.

He's in off the tour. He died for fourth. He's so he moved down. Okay. So Henny's only one.

They got booted. Yeah. What have you done to me lately? He needs dual plantus. Uh, other than beyond every leader board and little call.

And I guess, but he didn't really count.

Yeah, I mean availability is most important ability.

For sure. That's very good, TC. Yeah. Thank you. Thank you.

Thank you for getting rid of the practice squad. That was unbecoming. But sorry. We're not getting rid of it. We're just.

It's done. That part was done. We're getting rid of it. We have a two track for door five now. Uh, Neil, you got anything else on your.

I got a bunch. Yeah. I would say I could run through these quickly. I just think the number one player in the world. It practicing in the rain, but specifically focused on his grip.

Working on the most basic thing in golf. It's just, I, I don't know, man. After a tough opening round is just, I can't get enough of that. It's a reminder to me of maybe I should. Yeah, I should think about my grip more.

You know, if that guy's doing it, maybe I should care about my grip. Uh, I just think that's awesome. How focused Scotty is on his grip. Uh, he's big on the on the tree. He just has like the the 15 handicapped training aid to that.

Yeah. Yeah. The six iron with the grip is great. Yeah. A little notches.

Yeah. It's awesome. I only had a couple more I had. Golf channel had this graphic up the split, which kind of comes up at the players every year. But it's awesome.

Stat. One of the weirdest cool stats in golf.

I think Roy's front nine back nine split at at saw grass is so cool.

He's like first career. I think he's five over at least coming into the five over on the front. 46 under on the back is just a a jarring jarring split. And even Fiery today was like, you know, I still think like the back's harder. Like I don't totally get that.

But how about that? Uh, I think once 12 became kind of a. I'll push over than that back nine with between 11 12 and 16. I mean, just don't mess up 17 18. The rest kind of falls into place in theory.

I was Fiery by the way. I caught a little bit of in the last hour or so, but super solid. I think at least for me, it's like a little unnoticeable. If I'm. Yeah.

You know, I was. He isn't a booth. Yeah. He didn't. His voice doesn't stand out, which is fine.

And like I don't mean any shade by that, but solid is no good word. Solid said that or like he blends in and I'm like, yeah, you could. You could convince that. Me, that's good. And you convince me it's bad.

Like it's hard to blend in when it's your second event or whatever.

Yeah. Like that's a compliment. Yeah. But at the same time with you, it's not like a kind of routine that he's doing. You know, he's just kind of fades into the.

To the mix. I think they got to build them up. Right. But it's just like 244. They have.

Oh, they have too many voices. That's exactly what he voices. It's around the mouth. The thing. I think he's going to be good.

The thing with the with fear, like this kind of funny that I could feel myself just like getting old here is the way that so many other people feel about the voices that, you know, we kind of inherited as broadcasters is probably how I feel about fear. I'm just like, oh, when he talks, I'm like, oh, yeah, no, Jim Fierick. I remember all the moments that you had. I remember when you played this event. I remember when you and I'm like, oh, right.

That's how all the old's felt about all those other guys that we didn't like.

So it's good David Ferdy was a pro guys. Right. Exactly. The one thing about Fierick.

I want to point out is that it seems like him and bones have like incredible just natural report.

It's very easy for them to pass things back and forth to, to, you know, fire things off and bones is very easy to pick it up and run with it. Where I think the normal NBC golf channel crew is struggling with that so far. So that was, I thought, very additive. Yeah. Great.

That's what they call out. It could be a core to to build around. Yeah. Team chemistry matters. Absolutely.

Absolutely. Somebody to lean. I got a few more. You must have got one. I think I, I think I knocked mine out.

Chandler Phillips didn't make a birdie. That's. I can work. Negative today. Well, it's just kind of.

I think I was like hanging out. I was hanging out on the bottom of the leaderboard. Looking for. That's where sick things hang out. Oh, here's a good one.

Kevin, you. Lost five shots on the greens today, which is two full shots worse than the next worse. It's like anger. Yes. And it was, I was like, oh, that hasn't Kevin, you've been playing kind of decent.

No, he's not. It's like Scotty. Memorial before the, before the mallet. Yeah. He's missed six cuts in his last seven events.

And the other one was a T 70 at Pebble Beach, which has 78 players. So I would fade your Kevin, you stock at this point. Yeah. Yeah. Go ahead, T.C.

Oh, I was just going to say, I was hanging out around scoring and Sammy Volamaki went in.

Hey, a bunch of guys were getting drug tested today.

It was sick. It's always a fun.

I found surprise for guys.

But Volamaki came out and like Volamaki made an eight on number six. He made a snowman. He had a, he had a quad in a double and shot 78. Like those were the only two. I mean, otherwise, he was eating all the best of today.

That's tough seeing. But the entire time, I'm just thinking, like I'm just looking at it. I'm like, that guy belong to the cleaks. That guy has a future cleak. Like we need to say that on the squad.

He's just been, he's been actually from Northern Europe. The cleaks are in Northern European team.

Like I think he might be the heir apparent to Blandi.

I love that. Wow. All of that. Incredible. Cody was pointing out.

I'll just keep hoovered up all the negative stuff. Our friend of the program Max Grayson in went 31 42. He got, he got out of her skis on a long, short position. I know. That's tough.

But it is kind of sick. We do need to cut.

These oil prices are just messing with all of that.

Yeah. The market was my red index went the wrong way on. I've got so Maddie Schmid. Just not even attempting to tuck his shirt in. He's got a lot of things.

It was like he's making triple on 14. It's just like fully untucked. And it's like, it's sometimes the guy's like, Oh, yeah, he's still got the front tucked in. I mean, it's just like completely untucked.

Which I'm like, yeah. That's every week. Maddie Schmid. This is what Maddie Schmid looks like. Every week.

Maybe a future cleak as well. But I didn't realize that was, that was in his, in his real house. I got set struck as nickname ox in a world of mules gentlemen.

I think we should all aspire to be an ox.

And I like that. It's oaks. It's oaks. You're right. It's good stuff.

Oh, god. All right.

I got this one is this is a Jack Reacher here,

but I want to test this one. I want you guys to watch for this. Because I've noticed it now for a, I don't want to say a couple weeks, but recently, the way Hadecki walks like after he makes a birdie.

He reaches into the hole. And he grabs the ball. And then he kind of wanders around the aimlessly like my son, like my two-year-old son, like he kind of, like kind of flaps his arms and then he'll look up.

He has heads down. And it'll kind of wave at the crowd. It's very awkward. But it's like a kid that has nowhere to be. And this kind of zigzagging around.

And I just think it's sick. And I want you guys to look for it. There's a specific example. Yeah, he made birdie on 10. Specifically today on 10, he made birdie.

He hit it like that front left pin. I think he was like left of that pin. And made the birdie. And he went down and picked the ball. I mean, he almost like doesn't know how to react to like a,

like like the, a good thing. I don't know. I don't mean it. I'm not trying to disobey. It's really funny to me.

He just kind of like doesn't really know what to do after he makes birdie. It's not all those who want to be lost. It's awesome. That is the man. If you're going to sit and watch golf for about 10 hours a day.

If you don't have that kind of stuff, man, it's. That's what I'm saying. Yeah, I didn't know where to put that in the show. But I was like, no, that's people need to look for it.

I think that is useful communal info right there.

I think people are going to really take heart with that. What else? It's great to see Zander and blow by Bridgman wearing white shoes. I'm happy to see that. What did he, did he wreck his rig coming in?

He's minus three. He made, he made Boeing at 16. Two on there, he had Boeing 12 and 16. He had it to four there. But yeah, last, I got two more. One is I'd love seeing Benjamin E. Booms and get paired with Adam Scott.

And was it Bridgman? Yes, Bridgman. Like two guys with like some with the specifically the aviators with with Benjamin E. And the shoes with with Bridgman paired with like a timeless style of Adam Scott. I'm like, is it toward trying to maybe something more rub off on these guys?

I don't know. But that was interesting for others for a gram. Yeah, a little bit. And then I just want to call this out. I think we, we may need to come up with an all leadous power wrecking.

Some guys are growing their hair out. Yeah, S.H. Kim. Did you see that? S.H. Kim. You've got Smotherman's got great locks.

Higo. Higo. I forgot to send it to you, Cody, for the show. But the Fidi had on yesterday during the practice round. Just like neon shorts.

Like big on touch shirt with the surfing hat and the hair down. It was, I mean, it was awesome. Really, really. I mean, you got it. I think I got to give Ricky a ton of credit.

He's growing the hair out again. And what does like like PC Oakley. He's, I mean, he's committed to that look. And I like it. Yeah.

I honestly, he's going to show dirt five going on. I know. And I think at his age, I'm like, do fuck yeah, man. Like, you know, keep it going. Yeah, Higo.

Here's his outrageous. Yeah. So anyway, a lot of, it just feels like lettuce is back on the PGA tour. Coming out the back of the hat. And I'm, I'm going to keep doing my research.

It would of course.

Yeah.

Honestly, I was in the merch tent today.

Puma. It's who my favorite shirts in there. Puma and a date is both of them. Like, that's some fresh stuff.

H&B had a clean, clean print polo in there with Gold Boy.

Sunrise surf shop, local joint. They had this stuff in there. Oh, I love that. I went in there thinking that there was going to be so much. Like, just reprehensible like horror show stuff.

It was fine. It was like so much tasteful good stuff. Virtually no big letter hats. There was some. There was some upside down.

My guess. Yeah. So we did a little, a little, you know, social thing that we'll put out. It is weak. But yeah.

And then, you know, things that are sick.

I'm not going to name names. But this is, you know, this has been kind of the talk of, of sawgrass last couple of days. One of the agents when absolutely apeshit in the agent meeting the other night. Like, just, it was like just about one minute. Just like how, how the, the new structures bullshit and lie into their teeth and all this stuff.

And I mean, they did, they did take it into a separate room. A bad room in the land of mules. The oaks is okay. Yeah. So I was certainly not subsatient.

So yeah. Yeah. I'm sure we'll get a full, you know, another full, helping of mule droppings from, from work I shoot. I was going to say this.

I haven't seen too much like player reaction kind of coming from all the, the roll app stuff. Usually that has a delayed tail. Usually it takes a couple days before everybody kind of settles in and lets. What would the, what would, what would it be?

What's, what's the, what's the case again?

I think charity thing is probably a, that's, that's a looming question.

I think like appreciated shoe pack asking that yesterday. Um, especially with like championship management taking over more events. You know, there's, there's just like that's not a local horse that somewhere. Yeah. Yeah.

Don't know. Totally. And like, all right. Either you're going to have this big TV deal in the, in these tournaments continue and you're going to raise a bunch of money or like this thing. Just kind of, whether it's like it dies a little bit, right?

Yeah. I guess selling. It's like, I don't know if it's those people from the, from one 21 to one 60 who are just like, why are you putting me back on the corn fairy tour. Type of a, okay. Which I don't think is the case.

No, it's not. I don't know if anything. The track. The second track. If you think about it.

All right. How many guys, if guys are playing? If the top say 80 guys are playing. 20 times the, you know, 18 or 16 times a year in what we're calling signature events or track one events or whatever. That means that like a bunch of corn fairy tour guys are going to have to fill out.

Yeah. Those, those track two events like if anything, it brings guys up to that second level and kind of blends the second level and the third level together. Yeah. And what they currently have. No, I agree.

Yeah. I'm just trying to think for think of holes. I don't know. Because it's like you walk the feet, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the range of the players and you get to like again. I don't need to pick out names here, but I'm going to the bottom of the board this week.

Like we have Chandler Phillips, Jordan Smith. Join you. You know, Vince Waley, you know, here.

Like the field is 120 people's a big ass field, right?

And if you're. That's a, that's a lot of people getting into those massive events that they're talking about and below that you're still probably going to play for like.

8 to 10 million dollars in those tournaments below that.

I would imagine like that'll be the, that'll be the question mark. I guess is if that's actually feasible to do or if those persons just can you keep John deer paying that money on the second track is that's that's an unanswered question for me. I mean, as a runner. There's no openings in all the fall guys pay around that for for fault series events that don't get any. They just signed up this new North Carolina like this Asheville event.

There's, there's, you know, there's the new good championship. Like, those are all locked in at like the going rate. Yeah. Yeah. For at least for fall season.

Well, I think we're going to have a lot more to talk about on that on that front. But guys, I think we call it there. They would keep it nice and nice and tight. What do you think? Nils 120 nice and tight.

Great list of great list of things that are sick. I think you might need to keep that the observations going. I had a blast listening to those boys. You guys going to be out there tomorrow. What's the rest of your week?

Look, like, I'll be out there tomorrow. I'm taking, I'm taking the Fred man. The great man Freddie out out tomorrow. And he wants to follow Ludwig and Tommy. They're in back to back groups. So I deal with.

We're set up for success on that front. Should be a. Hey, is, uh, is tacos on 12 still a thing? Good question. I know.

Maybe use God.

Yeah, I didn't go to 12 today.

Oh, I got to shout out the media center dining today.

Barbicola, tacos and chicken tinga. Unbelievable.

It was one of the best meals I've ever had in that media dining.

You know, they're normally doing a good job. You know, they're pulling good coffee shots in there, too. I mean, it's just a little mingos coffee. That says she mingos. I caught her in her number.

Me tomorrow night meal. Oh, look at the recap and at the cut. Scouts honor. I got you tomorrow night. The guys two questions.

Two questions. What is Scotty?

What is Scotty at in the field tomorrow?

Like is he in the top 20? It's in the top 15. He's the top 20. I think so. Yeah.

What is it? He's a TST. He's already already. He might just cruise to like the easiest. He's really far back.

If he can get the driver figured out. That was one set. I had my chamber that he lost strokes off the T today, which he has not done in a round of golf since like. Procore last year.

Like it's. That's right. Anyone. Any loss. He did.
