President Trump visited Corpus Christi, where he touted his drill-baby drill agenda. "So, we're witnessing a historic American energy boom like we've never seen in this port is right at the center of the action." But a speech was somewhat overshadowed by the heated Republican primary elections in the state.

Senator John Cornan is trying to win his fifth term in the Senate, but is being challenged by State Attorney General Ken Paxton and Representative Wesley Hunt in a rough primary fight. Trump gave shoutouts to all three Republicans during his speech, but he stopped short of endorsing one in the race.

The Pentagon has made a deal with scouting America, formerly known as the Boy Scouts,

that Defense Secretary Pete Hickseth says would maintain their century-old partnership

but refocus the organization a way what he calls "woke policies." The latest talks were in Geneva on Thursday and included the head of the International Tomic Energy Agency that monitors nuclear enrichment.

Cuba says it's communicating with U.S. officials after a deadly shooting involving a Florida registered speedboat in waters off the island. Rubio has said that investigators are looking into it.
