a proposal to fund DHS, except for immigration enforcement operations. Schumer indicated progress but declined to say whether Senate Democrats would back the deal as is. President Trump is again declaring victory over Iran and speaking in the Oval Office Tuesday and Trump again said the U.S. is in talks with Iran to end the fighting.
Iran has denied any negotiations or taking place but Trump's comments come. As thousands of U.S. Marines are headed to the Middle East and PR has also confirmed
“the deployment of some 2,000 soldiers from the Army's 82nd Air Board Division.”
Israel is continuing to strike Iran. Iran says a gas supply to a power station was struck and the Israeli military says Iran fire missiles toward Israel at least seven times Tuesday. And here is Daniel Esther reports from the side of a missile attack in Tel Aviv, local medical officials say several people were injured.

220 pounds of explosives. >> The Republican leader of North Carolina State Senate has lost his primary election to his home county sheriff.
“Senator Phil Berger had President Trump's endorsement and millions of dollars backing his”
campaign at a Wagner of the North Carolina Newsroom reports. Berger is a 13-term state senator and an architect of the Republican takeover of North
Carolina's powerful general assembly.
That didn't matter to voters in his home district. Instead, they narrowly opted for Sam Page, the seven-term sheriff of Rockingham County. Some voters grew frustrated with Berger over a 2023 effort to bring four casinos to North Carolina, including one in Rockingham County. Page pointed to this effort as a sign that Berger had lost touch with voters back home.
Recently, of hair recounts after the March 3rd election reaffirmed that Berger lost by 23 votes. Now, with Berger's concession, North Carolina's Senate Republicans are looking for a new leader for the first time in more than 20 years. For MPR News, I'm Adam Wagner.

"breeding ground for child predators on its apps, including Instagram and Facebook. Following a nearly seven-week trial, jurors agreed with the state. They found a meta-violated New Mexico's consumer protection law by hiding what it knew about risks to children's safety and mental health.
The jury ordered the company to pay $375 million in penalties based on thousands of
violations. meta says it works hard to keep people safe on its platforms, the company plans to appeal the verdict. >> Shannon Bond and PR news. >>ers are still deliberating a similar case in Los Angeles, a plan to argue that the platforms
operated by meta and YouTube were designed to be addictive, especially for young users. TikTok and snap each set up before the trial began. Oil prices have easy international standard, Brent Crude, is down nearly 4% to around $96 per barrel, and the financial markets and Asia advanced today after President Trump's spoke of negotiations with Iran.
