Inter up about 11% from last year, and PR's even the Sahab reports on how some people are spending the extra cash. Tax filers are getting back bigger refund checks, because of the tax cuts in last year's one big beautiful bill Act, which gave deductions for tips and overtime, increased the child tax credit, and expanded the standard deduction.
Consumers typically bump up their discretionary spending after getting a refund, and they're doing it even more this year.

People do treat themselves, or put the whole day, now they can afford it. The Institute looked at debit and credit card data, and saw that compared with last year, early filers spent more on things like hotels, airplane tickets, and restaurants after they got their refund. The four astronauts onboard the Artemis two are more than halfway to the moon. The crew is expected to reach their destination Monday before a looping back to earth. NASA senior researcher Kelsey Young said the astronauts will be able to see a total solar eclipse during the flyby. The sun will pass behind the moon from their perspective, creating a solar eclipse, and
from a perspective that is very, very unique to this mission. But on board, a familiar issue has resurfaced. NASA manager John Honeycutt says the toilet on the spacecraft is malfunctioning. "It's a little bit of camping in space already, but then it makes it camping a little bit tougher when you don't have the full capability of the toilet."
Mission Control has instructed the crew to use back up your in-collection bags. This is NPR. During Easter Mass at the Vatican, Pope Leo made a passionate appeal against the conflicts that rage in the world, saying humans must not resign themselves to what he called this evil.

In his service Leo described Easter as "Victory of Life Over Death." The people and humans are growing accustomed to violence, resigning ourselves to it and becoming indifferent to the deaths of thousands of people, and quote repercussions of hatred.
