President Trump says he's not at all concerned about committing possible war crimes as
“he threatens to destroy Iran's bridges and power plants.”
If they don't reopen the state of Hormuz by tomorrow night, he refused to say whether any civilian targets would be off limits. We're giving them, we're giving them to tomorrow, eight o'clock eastern time. And after that, they're going to have no bridges, they're going to have no power plants, there's stone ages, yeah.
Iran rejected a proposal for a 45 day cease fire saying it wants a permanent end to the war. Israel and the U.S. continued to carry out a wave of attacks on Iran, which responded with strikes on Israel and its Gulf Arab neighbors. The Artemis 2 crew has passed the farthest point of their mission, and they're on their way
back to Earth. The Orion capsule reached that point during a 50 minute period when they were out of contact, because radio signals were blocked by the moon. Here's Mission Specialist and the first woman to travel to the moon, Christina Cook. Houston, we have the same, and it is so great to hear from Earth again.
“So, Asia, Africa, and Oshiana, we are looking back at you.”
We hear you can look up and see them in right now. We see you too.
The astronauts passed a critical milestone today, reaching farther into space than humans
have ever ventured. It's the first mission to send humans to the moon's orbit in more than 50 years. The men's college basketball season concludes tonight as Michigan faces Connecticut for the NCAA Tournament title, Greg Eklin, has this preview. Even with Yukon's track record of two national championships in the past three seasons,
the Huskies were regarded by some experts as the underdog team at the final four. But Yukon coach Dan Hurley has been on both ends to know well enough that predictions don't matter. It's really, you don't have to be the best team. You don't have to have the best season to win this tournament.
Each team has a starter with an injury from the weekend. Yukon Gar Solo Ball was wearing a footboot, but is expected to play.
“Michigan forward Yaxel Lendaborg, who is the Wolverine's leading score, temporarily left”

sites and PRs at Jeff Brady reports it's a reversal of Biden era policies. When drilling equipment breaks, companies often need to burn off natural gas that comes out of a well. Burning is preferred diventing because natural gas is mostly methane, a potent greenhouse gas.
Biden administration rules limited flaring to one day, but drillers said that wasn't enough time to make repairs. Now the Trump administration's EPA is extending that to three days, or even longer if there are problems such as bad weather that limits access to a site.
The EPA says this will save drillers over $200 million a year.
The environmental defense fund counters that burning off natural gas is a waste, especially when Americans are concerned about rising utility bills. Jeff Brady and PR news. Scientists have discovered fossils in China dating back nearly 540 million years that show complex animals living three-dimensional lives, millions of years earlier than previously
thought. This challenges the belief that such complexity only emerge later during what's called the Cambrian explosion, experts say this finding provides a glimpse into how modern life developed. You're listening to NPR news from Washington.
