"Live from NPR News in Washington," Encore of a Coleman, President Trump says...

supplying military weapons to Iran will face a 50% U.S. tariff.

The announcement comes after Trump agreed to a two-week ceasefire with Iran, the two countries

are trying to negotiate and end to the war, and P.S. D. P. Shiverham has more. "Trump says many of the 15 points in the U.S. plan for Iran have been agreed to, including no enrichment of uranium and Iran, but Iran says otherwise, and previously put forth its own 10-point proposal. In his initial social media posts on the short-term ceasefire, Trump said Iran's plan is a workable basis on which to negotiate. In a post since then, he also

writes that the U.S. and Iran will discuss sanctions and tariff relief.

Pakistan helped facilitate the two-week ceasefire between the U.S. and Iran and invited

both parties to Islamabad later this week to finalize negotiations. White House press secretary Caroline Levitt said there are ongoing discussions about the talks, but nothing has been

finalized. Deepishivaram and P.R. News."

Meanwhile, Israel says it's observing the truth with Iran, but says it does not apply to his beloved militants in Lebanon. Israel's military said today it carried out airstrikes on more than 100 targets in Lebanon in about 10 minutes. And P.R. is in Beirut. Lebanon's health ministers' hundreds are dead and injured. The red cross says 100 ambulances are out in Beirut alone trying to rescue people, hospitals are asking for blood donations.

Israel issued fresh evacuation orders for areas in Beirut's southern suburbs this morning, but not for areas in Central Beirut, where I am, a posh area along Beirut's Corniche waterfront was struck today, which is not been a target before. That blast hit near the residents of the Speaker of Lebanon's Parliament.

And P.R. is low in fray or reporting from Beirut. As below militants in Lebanon have

threatened to retaliate against Israel. A new survey out today finds that U.S. democracy has significantly eroded since President Trump returned to office. As empires Frank Langford reports, that assessment generally matches three other recent surveys. The Economist Intelligence Unit says the United States fell six spots last year in its global democracy index. The U.S. tied with Poland for 34th out of 167 countries. Consons hunter

with Economist Enterprise sites a range of actions from Trump's lawsuits against news organizations to his deployments of the National Guard. She says the survey has a message.

"Bite for your civil liberties for the functioning of government and for this amazing

thing. We have of democracy. It's the 250th anniversary of our independence." The White House has rejected surveys that accused the President of damaging democracy and Trump's repeatedly denied he tries to rule as an autocrat. Frank Langford and PR News, Washington. On Wall Street, the Dow is more than 1100 points. This is NPR. ADHD is a common neurodevelopmental disorder that's been linked to worse performance in

school and lower attendance and higher education. But a new study finds people who receive their ADHD diagnoses at a younger age tend to have better educational outcomes than those diagnosed later in their teen years. And beer's Maria Gaudoy has more. The new study is based on data from Finland, where researchers had access to medical and educational information for some 580,000 people born between 1990 and 1999. Finland has

universal health care. And nearly all children are regularly screened for ADHD every few years beginning around age 4. The country's universal education system allowed researchers to see how kids who received an ADHD diagnosis fared in school over time. They found that people who got diagnosed with ADHD at an earlier age had a better grade point average by age 16, and were less likely to drop out of school. The study appears in the journal

"Jama Psychiatry." Maria Gaudoy and PR News Republican Clay Fuller has won the special run-off election in a Georgia congressional district. He defeated Democrat Sean Harris for the seat once held by Republican Marjorie Taylor Greene, Fuller will finish out Greene's term in office. The Associated Press has called a race in Wisconsin for the State Supreme Court. It's for liberal judge Chris Taylor. She defeated conservative candidate and fellow

judge Maria Lazar. I get on Wall Street the Dauze up about 1,100 points. This is NPR News.
