Live from MPR News on Giles Snyder, mediators are trying to extend a fragile ...

between the U.S. and Iran and hopes of restarting peace talks, and when the U.S. blocking

Iranian ports in the state of Hormuz, Duryad Baskaran spoke with Iranians who were

staying in the Turkish city of Vaughn. And Pierre spoke with 16 Iranians in the Turkish city of Vaughn. It's a popular destination for people to come and use the internet, work remotely, or just take a break from the war. All of them asked not to be identified.

Most for fear of repercussions when they returned to Iran. Three women said they're happy with the Islamic Republic and want it to stay in power. One mother, with a son in high school, said she just wants the war to be over, for life to return to normal. And others, like this activist in Iran, who sent us a voice note, said they want the

war to continue.

"I can't post online that I don't want the war to end," she said.

"The White House says it feels good about the prospects of a deal to bring the Iran war to an end but press secretary Caroline Levitt says the U.S. has not agreed to extend the ceasefire."

At this moment, we remain very much engaged in these negotiations in these talks. You heard from the Vice President directly and the President this week that these conversations

are productive and ongoing. And that's where we are right now."

Pakistan has emerged as a key mediator of the country's army chief arrived in Tehran

California's Supreme Court has ruled that one of President Trump's former election lawyers must lose his license to practice law on the state, and appears Tom Drysbock reports. After Trump lost the 2020 presidential election, the conservative attorney and law professor John Eastman helped develop a plan to overturn the results. "This is bigger than President Trump.

It is a very essence of our Republican form of government and it has to be done." Eastman spoke on January 6th, 2021, hours before a mob of Trump supporters violently stormed to the Capitol. The California state bar found that Eastman committed serious ethics violations by presenting false and misleading claims about election fraud to the courts and to lose his law license.

Eastman appealed, but the state Supreme Court rejected those appeals, meaning Eastman can no longer practice law in California. Tom Drysbock and PR News. closed, Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers, declared a state of emergency Wednesday after at least three tornadoes hit the state this week. You're listening to NPR News." A federal jury in New York has found that live nation and its ticket master's subsidiary illegally monopolized big concert venues.

The jury decided on Wednesday on claims from dozens of states that live nation is a monopoly that costs concert goers and sports fans. A lawyer for the states called it a great day for anti-trust law, live nation is promising to appeal. Around 250 people are missing after a bow-carrying arrow-hinged refugee in Bangladesh,

she nationals capsized near the Indian Ocean.
