President Trump says the U.S. Navy forcibly seized an Iranian flagged ship, firing on
“it after it tried to pass the U.S. blockade of the Strait of Hormuz.”
A Ron late last week again closed the Strait, saying it wouldn't reopen it until Trump ended the U.S. blockade. Meanwhile Trump says he's sending a U.S. delegation back to his llama bod for peace talks with a Ron, the Iran has said it would attend. A White House official says on background that includes Vice President Vance, Steve Wittkov, and Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner.
And Trump is again threatening to attack Iranian power plants and bridges if Tehran doesn't agree to U.S. terms for ending the war. U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Mike Walsh defended that threat.
"I don't think anyone can say President Trump is putting diplomacy first.
Of course, that is backed by a significant and very real and very capable military power." Speaking there on ABCs this week, Israeli troops remain active in southern Lebanon as the ceasefire holds and appears Daniel Estrin has more.

Israel calls it a security zone to act against threats to northern Israel. The Israeli military published a graphic showing the approximate area where five military divisions, tens of thousands of soldiers are destroying infrastructure. Israel says it's connected to the Hezbollah militia. Israel is prohibiting displaced Lebanese civilians from returning to dozens of villages
in the area Israel is occupying.
During the ceasefire, two Israeli soldiers in Lebanon were killed by previously planted explosives.
And Israel says Hezbollah fire killed a French UN peacekeeper clearing unexploded ordnance in Lebanon, Daniel Estrin and PR news, Tel Aviv. In Louisiana, police say a gunman killed at least eight children and shot several others in an early morning mass shooting in Schreef fort that was domestic related and carried out across two homes.
The gunman is also dead. It's the deadliest mass shooting in the U.S. and more than two years. The window to register to vote in this year's primary elections is closing soon in a handful of states and Pierce Hunsula Wong has more. Israel's will voters in Georgia and Kentucky, when a gas balance in the May 19th
primaries have until Monday to register. West Virginia's registration deadline for its May 12th primary is on Tuesday. And there's still about a week left to register online for Louisiana's primary, and a sign up online by mail or in person for the primary in Oregon. Virginia is holding a special election for a congressional redistricting referendum on Tuesday,
and eligible Virginians who have not registered yet can still do so in person at an early voting location or their polling site on Tuesday. If you've already registered to vote, you may want to check your status on your state election officials' website. And if your Shondalee's duster has more on the damage. The National Weather Service says numerous severe storms retract across the parts of Iowa, Illinois, and Missouri on Friday. The tornadoes and severe storms knocked out power for thousands, and destroyed buildings. In Illinois, the National Weather Service says a strong tornado caused the most significant
damage in the village of Lena. Many homes that outbuildings were damaged, trees were uprooted, and power lines were down. Stevenson County Sheriff's Office chief deputy Andy Schroeder told NPR they are strongly
“discouraging non-essential travel into the area.”
Tornadoes were also reported in Wisconsin and Iowa, Shondalee's duster and PR news. A life jacket worn by a passenger who survived the sinking of the Titanic sold at auction this weekend for more than $900,000.
It was worn by Laura French Telly, a first-class passenger, and it signed by her and
also other survivors on her same lifeboat. A sea cushion from one of the Titanic lifeboats sold at the same auction for $527,000 to the owners of two Titanic museums in pigeon Ford, Tennessee, and Branson, Missouri.
