U.S. and Iran agreed to a ceasefire two months ago. The renewed fighting raised concerns

that the Middle East could be plunged back into a full-scale war as NPR's Aobatradi explains." Iran is telling Trump, "He cannot have an end to the war in the Gulf and keep the war in Lebanon raging. Iran has insisted, since April's ceasefire deal with the U.S. that it has to include an end

to Israel's war in Lebanon, and it has been warning against Israel's escalations there. So last night after Israel's bombing of Beirut, Iran launched missiles that is rarely Air Force bases and other sites and continued attacking Israel this morning, making clear again that Lebanon is a red line for them. And once again, Syrians rang out with people sheltering in bunkers in parts of Israel.

Now Iran's decision to launch these attacks have drawn mixed reactions inside Iran. NPR's Aobatradi reporting, President Trump nominated Todd Blance for Attorney General today. Blanche's Trump's former personal attorney, he's been serving as Acting Attorney General since Pam Bondi's removal earlier this year.

This is not a virus, it is not a disease, it is a pest. And so we obviously are treating it as such, but the food supply system remains intact and couldn't be safer. Rollins also said the USDA is deploying resources in Texas, including setting up animal quarantine zones.

Several fly releases via aerial flights and ground release chambers and deploying personnel to set up and monitor fly traps. A Somali referee won't officiate in the World Cup after being denied entry into the United States. Omar Arten was denied entry after arriving to Miami International Airport from Istanbul on Saturday. FIFA confirmed today that Arten wouldn't be able to train and officiate at the World Cup

without identifying Arten, U.S. customs and border protection said in the statement that "A referee for the FIFA World Cup was "determined to be inadmissible" to vetting concerns. Senators are warning that a key surveillance power could expire this week amid opposition

to President Trump's pick to lead the nation's intelligence community, the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act allows intelligence agencies to collect communications from foreign targets overseas without a warrant and its set to expire June 12. The airport for a deal to renew it collapsed after Trump named housing finance regulator Bill Pulti, his acting director of national intelligence.

Apple has announced a long-awaited new version of Siri with AI built in and Piers John Ruach reports.

Apple promised an AI updated Siri two years ago and is finally delivering analysts have

criticized the maker of iPhones and Maccomputers for being slow to jump into AI, but at its annual developer conference company executives pushed back saying other companies were racing ahead on AI while Apple was ensuring that it has strong privacy and security. Earlier this year, Apple announced the team up with Google and is using Google's Gemini AI model to underpin Apple's own AI.

The new Siri will be able to access the internet for information like other chat bots as well as personal messages and emails. It can also analyze pictures and interact with apps on Apple devices like Maps, the Safari web browser, and the calendar. The company says the update will be available later this year.

John Ruach and PR news Hockey's Carolina hurricanes are having a baby boom in their push for the NHL Stanley Cup and the biggest golden nights could soon join them. Three hurricanes players have welcomed children during the playoffs. The golden nights have multiple players with new arrivals scheduled later this month. The series could run through a game seven on June 17th.
