agenda as prices have jumped due to the Iran War. Deepashivarama and PR News. Republican Senator Mitch McConnell is hospitalized, according to a statement to NPR. The former Senate Republican leader was admitted this morning, though no other information
“on his condition or the reason for the hospital stay has been released.”
The 84-year-old Senator has suffered regular health challenges in recent years and often moves about the capital and a wheelchair. In 2023, McConnell froze and appeared unable to speak for nearly 30 seconds during his weekly press conferences leader. He also suffered a series of falls, including one that resulted in a concussion and nearly
six-week absence from the Senate.
McConnell's always appeared to have a somewhat unsteady gate, a childhood bout of polio
left him with a partially paralyzed leg. He announced in 2024 he'd stepped down from leadership and in 2025 that he'd not seek election to another six-year term in office. This is NPR News. Missouri State Highway Patrol says all 12 people on board a plane that crash near Butler are presumed dead. The plane was reportedly carrying 11 skydivers in the pilot and airport officials as the plane had just taken off and wasn't able to gain altitude and made a sharp left turn,
