And here's Michelle Kelliman has more. Pakistan's prime minister says there will be a "immediate and permanent termination of military operations on all fronts," including in Lebanon. The official signing ceremony is set for this Friday in Switzerland, and there will be technical talks before then.
Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister tells state media that once the U.S. lifts its naval blockade and the deal is signed, there will be a 60-day period of negotiations on other issues. Michelle Kelliman and P.R. News, Washington. Republican Senator Mitch McConnell has hospitalized, according to his spokesperson. The former Senate Republican leader was admitted this morning, though no other information
“on his condition, or the reason for the hospital stay has been released.”
And here's Eric McDaniel has more. The 84-year-old Senator has suffered regular health challenges in recent years, and often moves about the capital and a wheelchair. In 2023, McConnell froze and appeared unable to speak for nearly 30 seconds during his weekly press conferences leader.
He also suffered a series of falls, including one that resulted in a concussion and nearly six-week absence from the Senate.
McConnell's always appeared to have a somewhat unsteady gate, a childhood bout of polio
left him with a partially paralyzed leg. He announced in 2024, he'd stepped down from leadership, and in 2025, that he'd not seek election to another six-year term in office. After more than four decades, McConnell's time in the Senate is set to conclude at the end of this year, Eric McDaniel and P.R. News, Washington.

babies eggs and other common allergy-causing foods until they were one to three years old. But as science has evolved, that advice has changed. Guidance now recommends introducing eggs to babies by the age of six months. Now a new study finds that after Australia implemented this new infant feeding recommendation in 2016, the prevalence of egg allergy among children in that country fell by more than 17%.
Other real-world research has found that rates of peanut allergies plummeted in the US after guidelines here change to recommend introducing the food to babies by six months of age.
