on a decisive Tuesday primary." The desk of Oklahoma's junior senator is up for grabs after President Donald Trump appointed Mark Wayne Mullin Secretary of Homeland Security in March. Current U.S. representative Kevin Hurren trounced to the four other Republican candidates in the primary, with nearly 70% of the vote.
In Congress, Hurren has been a staunch supporter of Trump's policies, earning him the president's endorsement earlier this year. The Democratic primary is heading to a runoff in August. Hurren will face four political newcomers in November's general election. The NSA that's had only Republican senators for more than 30 years, Hurren is heavily favored
in November.

The primary runoff voters in Georgia have set up a closely-watch mid-terms Senate race,
“Georgia Republicans have chosen Congressman Mike Collins, drawn against incumbent Democratic”
senator John Osop, this fall president, and Trump endorsed Collins over the weekend. Collins campaign as a self-described MAGA warrior. The Trump administration says law enforcement disrupted a plan to attack targeting the UFC, cage fighting show at the White House over the weekend. MPR is Ryan Lucas is following the story, he says a 19-year-old man from Ohio is among
those arrested so far. He allegedly told the FBI that Target was the White House UFC event, and the plan was to fly small drones, laden with explosives over the UFC arena on the south lawn of the White House, and then to detonate the drones, to blow them up, the explosions were then supposed to drive the crowd to flee south, where gunmen were to have taken up positions
to open fire on the crowd and high-value targets. Proper allegedly told the FBI the attack was designed to jumpstart a revolution in the United States.

reports. Last year, Brazil's Supreme Court convicted former far-right president Shayer Bolsonaro of pleaning a coup to overturn an election he lost. Now they've convicted his son Eduardo of interfering in that case. By trying to get the US government to pressure Brazil's judiciary.
Eduardo lives in the United States and has sought close ties with the Trump administration, which hit Brazil with tariffs last year, and sanctioned a top judge ahead of the coup trial. Eduardo says he was not properly notified about the legal case against him. He received a more than four-year sentence. For NPR News, I'm Catherine Osborne in Rio de Janeiro.

He's facing life in prison without the possibility of parole. Your men admitted in court that he murdered eight women, family members of his victims are expected to address the court.
Share and company of pizza-hut restaurants says it's selling the chain for $2.7 billion. Young brands says the private equity firm long-range capital will buy pizza's business in the US and the rest of the world except for mainland China for about $1.5 billion. And the China business will be acquired by longtime operator, young China holdings for $1.2 billion. Pizza has been struggling with growing competition and consumers looking for healthier options.
