the next decade, as mandates from President Trump's budget law start to take effect next year. "This is MPR. A judge on Long Island New York has sentenced a former architect known as the Gilgo Beach Killer to life in prison for murdering eight women.
The case took over a decade to solve from a member stationed W.S.H.U. Desiree Dioreal reports." There's no chance of parole for Rex Huremon, who admitted in April to killing eight women and dumping their remains around the affluent suburbs east of New York City, as far back as 1993.
After the sentencing, Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tireny wouldn't say if he thinks Huremon is responsible for more murders. "If I had evidence, I put it into a grand jury in an indictment and then we come and talk about it. Tell I have that.
I'm not going to talk about it." He says the FBI will now enter Huremon's DNA into its database for comparison to other crime scenes. The case gained worldwide attention, becoming the subject of numerous documentaries, books and podcasts.
For NPR News, I'm Desiree Dioreo on Long Island. "State lawmakers in Georgia, rejecting calls to redraw congressional and legislative districts for the 20-2080 election.
