"Live from NPR news in Washington, I'm Dan Rumman.

Funeral ceremonies in processions for the late Iranian Supreme Leader are underway in Tehran.

He was killed in the U.S. as well as the Airstrikes in February, and the funeral comes

during a fragile ceasefire between the U.S. Israel and Iran, and P.R.'s Hadil Ashashi reports from Istanbul." "A huge crowd of people chanted death to America as they gathered at a prayer complex in Tehran, where they visited the caskets of Aitullah Ali Hamanay, and four of those killed from his family.

People held up signs that red hashtag kill Trump, others waved flags, red ones that symbolize revenge, and many yellow ones that represented the Iranian-backed Lebanese militia, Hezbollah. The group has been fighting with Israel since the beginning of the war. While there was no sign of the current Iranian leader Hamanay's son, Mustafa Hamanay, the Iranian president and the Iranian speaker of Parliament, were seen praying near the coffins.

Hamanay will be buried in his birthplace of Mishhad next Thursday.

Israel and Mark's reports this evening's fireworks display is still scheduled to go.

Washington's National Independence Day parade was canceled, according to an announcement from organizers EML late Friday night. The parade had been scheduled to mark the nation's 250th birthday and to begin mid-morning Saturday. Todd Mark Ochi, president of Under the Sun Productions, which was overseeing the parade, said the move followed consultation with the National Park Service, the DC City Government

and freedom 250, the non-profit overseeing the anniversary celebrations. The National Weather Service has issued an extreme heat warning for the DC area in effect until 9 p.m. local time on Saturday, warning that "heat-related illnesses increased significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events, for NPR News on the Mugs." The outbreak was first reported in early May when passengers aborted the M.V. Hondias

cruise ship tested positive for Hanta virus. The disease can be deadly. Typically, humans get the virus through exposure to rodent urine, feces, or saliva, but the outbreak on the cruise ship's spark concern that it might be spreading more readily through the air from person to person.

Ultimately, only 13 cases were confirmed, three of whom died.

But the WHO said over 30 countries and territories responded to the outbreak, tracing more than 650 possible contacts who might have been exposed to the virus. Now the last of those contacts has tested negative after quarantine, leading the WHO to close the book on the outbreak. Jonathan Lambert and PR News.
