Live from NPR News, I'm Dale Wilman.

President Trump kicked off the America 250 July for a celebration a little late because

of a storm delay, speaking to thousands of people in the National Mall in Washington, DC.

He called the event one of the most joyous and glorious milestones of all time. Early in the day, military jets flew in formation past the statue of Liberty in New York, trailing red white and blue smoke, New Yorker Victor Lima was watching. It is really good. We've got to show support toward truth, law enforcement, everything, and we really proud to be here in the US.

Several weather, a severe weather canceled the fourth of July celebrations in the number of eastern cities. Huge crowds attended one of a series of funeral ceremonies Saturday for Iran Supreme Leader who was killed by U.S. and Israeli air strikes in February, a spokesperson for the funeral preparation says it was delayed this long because of the war. NPR's ideal al-Shaltchi reports.

Iranian state media showed massive crowds at the Imam Hamani Grand Mussalla, a large prayer complex where the casket of Ayatollah Ali Hamanai was displayed draped with the Iranian flag. Resultations from the Quran echoed through the space as well as chance of death to America

and death to Israel. Some carried signs that said, "Kill Trump."

The funeral comes during a fragile, on again, off again ceasefire between the U.S. Israel and Iran. U.S. and Iranian negotiators met separately this week with mediators from Qatar and Pakistan, the Strait of Hormuz continues to be a flashpoint in the talks, and the pivotal waterway remains Iran's strongest bargaining chip.

Hedil al-Shaltchi and PR News Istanbul. Ukraine launched more drones toward Russia on Saturday hitting an oil terminal in St. Petersburg. Ukraine's president described this latest attack as part of the country's long-range sanctions against Russia. He said forces also hit a military target on the island of Kronstadt in the waters off St.

Petersburg, the attacks were part of Kiev's campaign against Russia's oil infrastructure. With parts of the country remaining under what experts call a "heat dome," safety experts are urging people to hydrate. That goes for people who are spending hours working outside in the heat as well as others enjoying time off this holiday weekend, and appears under issue as more.

Decay to go as a student, Douglas Casah helped with research behind a color chart for urine. Today, a CEO of the Corey Stringer Institute at the University of Connecticut, he's urging people to pay attention to the findings. "If it's lighter like lemonade, you're very likely hydrated. If it's darker like apple juice, you're very likely dehydrated."

Another thing Casah says people can monitor is their weight. If it changes from day to day, he says it's probably dehydration.

Now, for workers who are starting new jobs outdoors in the heat, he says it's important

to a climatize, slowly ramping up the hours. The body goes through physiological changes, he says, and the greatest risk of heat stroke

is in the first three to five days of exposure, and reassure and PR news.

And you're listening to NPR news. In the World Cup Saturday, France beat Paraguay 1-NIL and Morocco overwhelmed Canada 3-NIL in the round of 16. On Friday, Egypt won a penalty shoot out to beat Australia, giving that team known as the Pharaohs its first-ever knockout match victory in World Cup history.

Celebrations across the Middle East united the Arab world as few sports can. NPR's Anaspaba has a report from Gaza. From the cafes of the Uyghur and Damascus, to the public squares of Saudi Arabia, grounds with Egyptian flags as if victory were their own. Across Egypt itself, even withings ground to a halt, as blinds, glooms and grouts crowded

around screens for the penalty kicks. And the neighbouring Gaza, the win was celebrated wholeheartedly too. The buzz of Israeli drones over Gaza City was drowned out by thousands of euphoric Palestinians and kids waving Egyptian flags. On the pitch in Dallas, Egypt's coach Hassan Mirrodak connection, he raids a large

Palestinian flag after the final whistle and said this one is for Egyptians and Palestinians alike. And as far as Gaza, Egypt's World Cup soccer coach is facing growing criticism this weekend. After he waved that Palestinian flag on the pitch, he also dedicated the win to both Egyptians

and Palestinian saying his heart is with them. A video of him holding that flag went viral. It's unclear if the World Cup regulatory body will take action in the past such political statements had been forbidden in the stadiums.
