In a dispute that has rocked the World Cup, FIFA, is rejecting Belgium's challenge of a decision

to let U.S. tracker follow in Balagan on the field tonight when his U.S. men's national soccer team faces Belgium in the World Cup's round of 16. Belgium appealed after FIFA rescinded the Red Card Balagan God in last week's match against Bosnia Herzegovina and delayed his win-game suspension. This today, after President Trump, asked for a review of the suspension during questions

about political interference and for some deepening suspicions about corruption under FIFA. The president says he spoke with Russian leader Vladimir Putin over the July 4th weekend about the war in Ukraine, and Piersprekordonia's reports Trump says it was a good call. President Trump says he plans to discuss the conflict between Russia and Ukraine during his trip to Ankara Turkey for the NATO summit.

He's also expected to meet with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.

I think we're getting much closer than people realize, and President Putin wants it to end.

I will tell you that very strongly, good call, and President Zelensky actually wants it to end now. President Assad, he's ready to focus more of his attention on helping in the war in Ukraine after signing a peace agreement with Iran. Zelensky has also spoken positively, a prospect to end the war with the help of U.S.

New research finds many online sites are prescribing GLP-1 obesity drugs with limited oversight or from MPR's Maria Gidoi. In the study of researcher posing as a patient, went to 49 different websites that offered GLP-1 medications.

All of the sites relied primarily on patient-reported questionnaires that often missed important

medical history.

For example, only about a third asked for clinical data like cholesterol, blood glucose, and

blood pressure. Just 26% of sites required an actual video visit to get a prescription. In some cases, websites issued prescriptions, even though the patient failed to submit required photos. That's NPR as Maria Gidoi, the findings appear in the journal, "Jama."

From Washington, this is NPR News. The preliminary hearing is underway for the 23-year-old man charged with assassinating Charlie Kirk on the grounds of the Utah Valley University campus last fall. prosecutors argue they have enough evidence to put Tyler Robinson on trial for the charge of aggravated murder.

Kirk's parents in Widow are attending the week-long hearing, but today they walked out of the courtroom shortly after a former UVU police officer began testifying about the day of the shooting.

A super typhoon made landfall near the U.S. territory of Guam, Monday local time, it brought

heavy downpours to the northern Mariana Islands. The National Weather Service had warned of an imminent danger to life.

Minions and monsters, and toy story five, each sold more than $30 million worth of tickets

over the holiday weekend, but NPR as Bob Mandelo says Hollywood is buzzing about the historical biopic that came in third. As the film Young Washington begins, America's first president's dreams are modest. "Why can I not become a British officer?" "Is you on a British son?"

Young Washington, which had tickets sales of just over $20 million, is from Angel Studios, the faith-based media company that opened sound of freedom on the 4th of July three years ago. That one also had a three-day total around $20 million, then played so well in Rocky Mountain States, the Midwest and South, that it ended up making over $250 million globally.

The Angel Studio Playbook hasn't changed. Young Washington also has its best numbers in America's Heartland. It's top theater as Utah's Megaplex 18 Thanksgiving Point, midway between Salt Lake City and Provo. The studio has already announced the George Washington sequel called 1776.

That's Bob Mandelo, it's NPR. On Consider This, NPR's afternoon news podcast, we cover everything from politics to the economy to the world, but every story starts with a question. NPR, we stand for your right to be curious, to make sense of the biggest story of the day and what it means for you.
