A fast-moving fire is prompted evacuations in a remote area of Los Angeles County. The brush fire began Friday and is already burned more than 2200 acres. Temperatures in the area reached almost 100 degrees on Friday, and the landscape is very dry. Wildfires are also burning in a number of other western states and much of the country, as facing another heat wave this weekend. This is NPR News.

Officials in Missouri say heavy rains and widespread flooding across that state likely contributed to the collapse of a building at a campground south of St. Louis on Friday. Emergency crews rescued about 20 people after the building collapsed. They'd been standing on the top of the building when it came down. The Reynolds County Sheriff's Office says crews conducted more than 90 water rescues of
