The U.S. military says it's finished its latest strikes on Iran, in a statement

that said the attacks were aimed at reducing Iran's ability to damage shipping in the

straight-of-war moves. As Empire's Kerry Con reports, these strikes are the latest in a string of attacks that began after an Iranian strike Saturday on a commercial ship in the straights. "Sentcom, U.S. sento command posted on X early this morning that overnight that hit more than 140 targets in Iran, it said the U.S. hit drone launch sites and other military

infrastructure, naval capabilities, ammunition storage facilities. Iran then said it was sponded sending drones and missiles toward Gulf States, hosting U.S. military base." The SMPR's Kerry Con, oil prices have jumped and Asian shares are mostly lower. After the U.S. and Iran traded attacks this weekend, Brent Crude rose 5% while South Korea's

Kaspi sank 7.4%. Texas Republican Congressman Michael McCall is mourning the loss of his men's or Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, Graham died Saturday night at the age of 71.

As Empire's cloudy Resolus reports, McCall overlapped with the Graham-led congressional

delegation, meeting with President Volodymyr Zelensky. McCall said he met with Zelensky separately to discuss he and Graham's joint work on a Russia sanctions bill that has been in the works for the past year. Now, McCall wants to rename the bill and Graham's honor to mark one of his final legacies. "He knew how to work politically to get the things that he really wanted to get done.

But I knew it is heart. He cared deeply about foreign policy in the United States." Graham announced Friday that the White House was on board with the Russia sanctions bill. He also told reporters after his meeting was Zelensky. He was more optimistic than ever.

They had found a new formula to finally end Russia's war with Ukraine.

Claudia de Salis and Pierre-Nous. The head of the World Health Organization says that his agency is facing complex challenges

as it tries to deal with the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Michael Coloki has more in our story. In the statement that WHO's direct general Tedros Gibria Sus said that insecurity in the Congo continues to hamper efforts by his team to respond to the outbreak, adding that mistrust among community members also poses a challenge. Earlier last month, a report by Congolese authorities said the presence of armed groups

in parts of the country was continuing to limit humanitarian access to several areas that either had been hit by the Ebola outbreak or were at risk of being affected by the disease. Meanwhile, the UN's World Food Program warned today that the outbreak in Congo could lead to a sharp increase in severe hunger in the country for impairing news on my Coca-Cola in Nairobi.

Residents of some Philadelphia neighborhoods are continuing to clean up after a series of microbrist storms hit the area Saturday. The storms knocked down trees and power lines and flooded some streets and one building in West Philadelphia collapsed, bricks from the building crushed cars and blocked trolley tracks. Actor Sam Neal has died.

He was 78 years old. The New Zealand actor was known for his roles in the Jurassic Park movies, as well as the period romance, the piano. He had announced, in 2023, he had a rare form of cancer, but in a statement as family said he was cancer-free when he died.
