U.S. strikes targeted Friday and Iranian control tower for the third time, according to

Iranian state media. NPR's Hadil al-Shashi reports.

Iranian state media said the maritime control tower at Shaheed-Kalantari, port in Chobahore,

was targeted for the third time in an attack by U.S. fighter aircraft. It said that the tower was completely destroyed while the equipment and operational infrastructure was not. U.S. said it targeted six bridges in a southern Iranian province along the state of Hormuz and electrical installations.

Iran responded with its own strikes targeting U.S. bases in the Gulf and Jordan. Kuwaiti official said an Iranian strike hit a power and desalination plant, causing a fire that was quickly contained.

Kuwait depends on desalination for its drinking water.

Hadil al-Shashi NPR News Istanbul Week of heavy rains in storm-battered Texas has left two people dead and hundreds have been rescued after flooding in the state's hill country. More than two feet of rain has fallen in some parts of the state causing swollen rivers and creeks to overflow their banks.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott said emergency workers have safely removed people from their flooded homes and cars. Abbott cleared 28 counties in Texas and disaster area. at Taco Bell, found 90% of those interviewed reported eating iceberg lettuce in a statement from Taco Bell. The company says it's taken immediate action to voluntarily remove potentially impacted

lettuce in these states, FDA's traceback investigation has identified a single supplier

of iceberg lettuce from Mexico.

The dire real illness, which also leads to fatigue and loss of appetite, was first identified
