The Federal Reserve held its benchmark interest rate steady today, as most investors

Chinese founded Xi in the massive fast-fashioned online retailer says its U.S. operations are under the investigation of the Federal Trade Commission, and Pierre Zalena Seljuk reports that a disclosure came as part of Xi's application-delisted shares publicly on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Xi in over the years has faced numerous inquiries in the U.S. and in Europe, often focused
on its supply chain and workplace conditions. Last year, for example, Xi entold British lawmakers that it had found two cases of child labor at its factories. At the time, Xi in was aiming to list its shares in London, which did not work out, Xi also had tried and failed to do an IPO in New York.
Now it's going for Hong Kong, and its financial disclosures had to report the new investigation by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission. The FTC confirmed the probe to NPR, but its focus and timing are unclear. Xi in says the result could mean significant fines. Alena Seljuk and Pierre News
Oil prices jumped again in the Fed's decision to keep interest rates steady since stock sliding. This is NPR News. FIFA President Gianni Infantino has sent a September 19th deadline for its $211 federations to accept $20 million each as part of his plan to sell stakes in a subsidiary, running
the World Cup, an investment firm run by President Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner's brother is underwriting the plan, Infantino is an ally of Trump's European soccer body opposes the deal.
Jared Letto, since he has never "never assaulted anyone," that's in response to a BBC
documentary in which multiple women accuse the actor and musician of doing so, and Pierre's
“Chloe Velpin reports in the documentary Jared Letto, Hollywood's dark secret, four women accused”
the 54-year-old of sexual assault or misconduct. One woman says the actor assaulted her when she was 17 and other accusers him of statutory rape. The women whose full names aren't used in the documentary say these incidents occurred between 2002 and 2016, Letto has been the subject of numerous misconduct allegations
over the years, but none of these have led to an arrest or criminal charges. In an e-mailed statement to NPR via his publicist, Letto said, "I have never sexually assaulted anyone in my entire life." These claims are absolutely and categorically false. Chloe Velpin and Piano's...
The nation's world's...the first women's professional baseball league in nearly 30 years
is about to embark on its inaugural season. The league has four teams, New York, Boston, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, but the 15 regular season games for each club in the playoffs will be played in Springfield, Illinois, where in Springfield hosts one of the earliest paid women's games on September 11th, 1875.
