President Trump says the U.S. has paused a possible military strike against Iran and
“opposed on truth-social Trump said Iran and other countries in the region asked Washington”
to hold off because the outlines of a deal had been reached. He said the U.S. and Israel agreed to cancel the attack for now as long as negotiations move quickly. The announcement came hours after the State Department urged Americans to leave the Middle East and PR's frank length of reports from Tel Aviv on Trump's latest reversal."
President Trump wrote on social media Saturday night that the U.S. was "locked and loaded" and ready to go against the Islamic Republic of Iran and "but then he said Iran and other Middle Eastern countries had asked him to hold off subject to rapidly making a deal. One that would include the immediate and total reopening of the straight-of-war moves and an end to Iran's nuclear threat."
Mayor, a semi-efficient news agency sponsored by the Iranian government, dismissed Trump's
claims as "simply a new lie," citing unnamed Iranian military officials. President Trump has threatened big attacks on Iran in the past only to back off. Israel, the U.S. partner in the war against Iran, has yet to comment. Frank Lankford and PR News, Tel Aviv.
“Officials and Idaho say at least three people are dead after a gunman opened fire at”
an in-and-out burger restaurant in Twin Falls, Saturday afternoon. James Dawson from Boise State Public Radio reports, the shooting took place at a busy shopping district. Twin Falls Police Chief Matthew Hicks says he believes the threat to the community is over, with the suspected shooter found dead nearby, but that it isn't immediately clear how he
died. At a press conference, Hicks described the scene as very chaotic. "We have literally hundreds of people that weren't suddenly shaped before in the area of this restaurant at the time, they're being interviewed right now." The shooting took place in Twin Falls's busiest commercial area, with police shutting down
roads and a nearby bridge, which is the city's only access to Interstate 84. A Twin Falls city spokesperson says he expects the death and injury count to rise as the investigation continues. For NPR News, I'm James Dawson and Boisey.

thousands of people without power." Governor Bob Ferguson says Boe Ken is now under evacuation orders as fast-moving fires spread across the eastern part of the state. "I declare to statewide emergency in a statewide burn ban because we heard how challenging the situation is and how challenging we expected to be, especially this weekend with extremely
high winds." The National Guard has been activated to help with evacuations as hot dry and windy conditions continue to fuel the flames. The fires have knocked out power to more than 13,000 homes about 5,000 structures remain under threat.
