The USS George Washington, another aircraft carrier, has arrived in the Middle East to support the war with Iran, according to US Central Command.
That means the Abraham Lincoln can finally head home after a record-breaking nine months at sea.
The aircraft carriers look huge, but space below decks for the crew is tight, especially after more than 270 days with no shore leave. NPR has reported that Iranian attacks disrupted the Navy's regular supply chains, which led to food shortages, porous sanitation, and mental health issues. Sent Comcommander Admiral Brad Cooper made a visit to the Lincoln on Saturday and acknowledged
the strains of such a long deployment. President Trump was asked about the issue and said the deployment was "not nearly long enough." The proposed merger of Paramount's Sky Dance in Warner Brothers Discovery would cost thousands of film and TV jobs over three years, according to a new report issued by Los Angeles County and Pierre's Montelito Barco reports.
“Film and TV production in Los Angeles has already been on the downturn for years, but”
could get worse if the two major studios paramount and Warner Brothers consolidate. That's the warning of a new report prepared for the LA County Board of Supervisors. The finding suggests that the combined company would be pressured to reduce costs and that could mean cutting local jobs and moving production out of Los Angeles.
Paramount counters that it's $111 billion deal is needed to prevent more decline in production

Craig Atremeroli is the special agent in charge for the FBI's Albany Field Office. In her own words, as alleged in the criminal complaint, she said, "I want to destroy
as much of the building as possible and kill the senators while they're meeting.
“I want them to lose a lot of important documents as well."”
New York officials say they had strengthened security at the Capitol in a cross-state government earlier this year after an increase in threats against politicians. Democrats have narrowed the list of potential host cities for the 2028 presidential convention to Boston, Denver, and Philadelphia, as their party looks ahead to a wide open primary to succeed President Trump, a final decision is expected to be made later this year.
For decades, the U.S. has served adults with disabilities in their communities, rather than institutions, as NPR's genocchimento reports the Trump administration is trying to reverse course. The Blinks Kaley and Cody Bremdall grew up near the Jersey Shore. Both of them are blind and Cody who's 27 also has autism.
And after high school, for years, he was in a kind of limbo until now. His family has found a community-based program funded by Medicaid where he learns life skills like job training at Jersey mics, where he loves bopping lettuce. But now, the Justice Department has said it will no longer enforce illegal protection. That says states must provide services for adults with disabilities in their community.
Here's Cody Sister Kaley. That affects everything. Integrated setting affects school, where you can work. It affects the community-based programs like on my brother uses. The law hasn't changed, but the administration may no longer enforce it, genocchimento and

This week on the MPR Politics podcast, the Trump administration is taking credit for a major drop in violent crime, murder, robbery, assault, all-down in big cities and small towns. We're going to dig into the numbers and unpack whether this is really as simple as the President claims it is on the MPR Politics podcast.
