Live from NPR News, I'm Dale Wilman.

The fallout from the Trump administration's new terrorist on Canada is continuing.

Trump placed 50 percent terrorist on some Canadian imports, after trade talks ended Friday

night. British Columbia premier David E. B. told reporters Saturday that no trade deal is better than a bad deal. And he also said the damage done will be hard to undo. My hope is that with a change in administration or a change in approach from this administration

following the electoral impacts that they're seeing currently, that will be able to get to a place of stability.

But I think the idea that our relationship with the United States is going to go back

to what it was, is folly. Canada's prime minister says the country will retaliate with tariffs on U.S. goods in September. Russia and Ukraine exchanged attacks on Saturday and at least 10 people were killed. The latest fighting comes one day after Russia bombed a shopping center killing at least 16 people and wounding more than 130 others.

And Pierce Charles Maynts reports from Moscow. The Russian attack took place in the Ukrainian city of Krivy Reed, an amounted to a double tap.

One drone hit the malduring peak business hours, followed by a second tap after rescuers

arrived on the scene. Ukrainian President, Florida, Ms. Alensky, denounced the tactic as despicable and vowed a response that appears to have come in several waves. Russia's crescent at our region, authorities said two children died amid Ukrainian drone strikes on a town on the as of sea.

Ukraine also continued its targeting of energy and logistics centers.

This time hitting an oil facility in retail warehouse in the Smara region. Charles Maynts impure news, Moscow. A judge has denied the motion for a new trial for a black teenager who was convicted of the fatal stabbing of a white teenager in Texas. His Caroline Love for member station K.E.R.A. reports the case received national attention

over the race of both of the teens. Anthony was sentenced to 35 years in prison for the fatal stabbing of 17-year-old Austin Metcav, a Texas judge denied the motion for a new trial on Saturday. Anthony's attorneys argued an off-the-record agreement between the defense and prosecution during the trial coerced Anthony to give up his right to testify and denied him a complete

defense. Anthony's text messages revealed he regularly carried a knife and had a history of fighting. In Metcav and his brother served a year of probation for spring graffiti that said "Hile Hitler" and "Kill all black people."

Anthony's attorney said he plans to appeal.

For MPR news, I'm Caroline Love and Dallas. The hawk fire has now grown to more than 10,000 acres. The blazes burning in Nevada close to the California border. Officials ordered more residents to evacuate on Saturday night as the fire continues to grow and more than 1,000 homes are being threatened by the flames.

You're listening to NPR news. After weeks of wildfires across much of Europe residents are now dealing with another problem, the fires have exposed some rusty bombs and mines from World War I and II. Some of the weapons exploded in the intense heat of the fires, including in France, Belgium, Germany, and the Netherlands, but other munitions have been found just lying on the ground.

Spider-Man brand new day will be number one at movie theaters again this weekend. NPR's Batman Dello says it's closing in on some new milestones. These days, Spidey is competing mostly with himself. What is happening to me? Spider-Man brand new day just passed the final total for Spider-Man no way home to become

the third biggest film at American Boxhouses ever.

Let's get to number two, we'll have to beat Avengers NG, which Spidey was in and it should do that before Labor Day. I am totally out of control. Spidey is also at number three globally, but he'll need to web sling a little longer to get to number two there.

And even if he makes it, his victory will be short-lived since Marvel is re-releasing NG in September to try to build momentum for Avengers doomsday. So a lot of reach for now, the number one spots held in the U.S. by Star Wars the Force Awakens and Globally by Avatar, Bob Mundello and PR News. It was a slow start for Windham Clark at the PGA Golf Championship under way and St. Louis

this weekend, but after opening Saturday with a double bogey, he left the rest of the pack behind shooting a 65 and taking a five-shot lead going into Sunday's funnel round. Roy McArroy had three late birdies for a 65, he's tied with Patrick Kentley for second. I'm Dale Wilman and PR News.
