But Iran's new security chief was taking a more defying stance, warning neighboring countries against joining any new U.S. economic sanctions, and P.R.'s Hadir al-Lashashi reports." The head of Iran's Supreme National Security Council said that Iran would retaliate in a "size-mic manner" to President Trump's new economic sanctions, and that Iran would
target any country assisting the U.S. in an interview that aired on state TV, Moss and Rizai said that Iran would target tankers on oil-shipping routes, alternate to the straight of Hormuz out of the Persian Gulf. U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Besend is expected to announce new aggressive sanctions on Iran on Monday, which President Trump has called "economic D.A.'s Iran is already suffering
from distressing economic circumstances that began before the war with the U.S. and Israel broke out in February. Hadir al-Lashashi and P.R. News is stumbled." In Nevada, a wild fire has grown to more than 10,000 acres, it's now approaching the city of Reno.

90,000 residents should either evacuate or be ready to go. K-U-N-R's Maria Palma has more. The Huckfire has burned more than 10,000 acres in Reno, Nevada. It remains a zero-person contained. About 400 personnel from local, estate, and federal agencies are working the fire, including
ground and air crews. Nevada Governor Joe Lombardo has declared a state-of-emergency in Washow County and activated the Nevada National Guard to support the response. For NPR News, I'm Maria Palma in Reno.
In American, to calm the top trophy at the first-ever Indy-Car Street Race in Washington,
D.C., the race ended in dramatic fashion as drivers whip down independent avenue to the finish line. Here's NPR's Ava Burger. It was Florida native Kyle Kirkwood, who took the victory lap. From the beginning, Kirkwood dominated the field.
During the 147 lap street race with its sharp turns on a track that shot past the capital building, the driver's battled an out for the top spot. Despite several crashes and spin outs, everyone was able to walk away. The Freedom 250 Grand Prix was pulled together in mere months, Trump signed an executive order in January, authorizing it.
He attended the historic race and waved the Green Flag to start the engines. The race had its critics, but the thousands of people on the National Mall Sunday, pooped and cheered as drivers flew by at speeds close to 200 miles per hour. Ava Burger and Pierre News, Washington. is backing Norman, the winner faces Democrat, Dr. Annie Andrews in November. Crods are expected at a Massachusetts courthouse tomorrow. This for the trial of the woman accused of killing her three children in 2023. Linda Clancy's attorneys are arguing for the insanity defense saying she was experiencing postpartum psychosis from member station WBUR Deborah Becker reports the cases drawing
attention to postpartum mental health care. Clancy's supporters have been lining up to get into the courtroom. Renee Kimble organized a rally in support of Clancy last week. She's concerned that Clancy repeatedly tried to get postpartum mental health help before the children were killed.
“Honestly, I think that she should not be in trial right now.”
I think that the systems of mental health care should be. Prosecutors say Clancy was in her right mind at the time. Closing statements are expected later this week, then the case goes to the jury.
