State Department official Tommy Pigut says about 85 Americans are still unaccounted for

have been evacuated safely. Nevilleies official say close to 800 people have died. In Kathmandu, Nepal's foreign secretary, Bahadur Rai, told reporters that his country is leading the search and rescue efforts while welcoming international offers of assistance." We've seen some false reports circulating in NASLN foreign media that Nepal has rejected
in NASL assistance and support. We have requested international support only to cater our particular purpose, so it's tunnel rescue team and particular instruments and equipments, and this is a rescue and relief operation, and we will require a significant table of support in the phase of reconstruction and we have a tissue."
The State Department says the U.S. has been in communication with rescue coordinators and boosted consular assistance in the region. Ontario's premier is speaking out today as a trade dispute with the U.S. escalates.

"The Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope is on the hunt for dark matter, dark energy, and planets outside our own solar system." Astronomers believe dark matter is the glue that holds galaxies together.
And dark energy is responsible for our universe's rapid expansion. Observations from the Roman Telescope should help scientists better understand them. And what they find could change how we understand the cosmos. Scientists also hope to discover over 100,000 exoplanets, planets outside our own solar system. Once operational, Roman will be back over one terabyte of data per day.
For NPR News, I'm Brendan Burn in Orlando. "This is NPR." Members of the Polish special forces are taking part in an exercise that simulates moving through
“enemy lines and launching a drone strike on a key enemy location.”
Initially designed by the Army's Green Barais for U.S. special forces, the exercise that started Friday simulates many of the challenges that Ukrainian troops have experienced in their conflict with Russia.
It's the first time a NATO ally like Poland has undertaken the training.
Authorities and nitrous say they've regained control of a key military air base in the country capital where explosions and gunfire were heard yesterday after an attack by mutinous soldiers. Michael Coloki has detailed. It's the air base in Niami also houses the counterterrorism unit of the Alliance of Science States, an economic block which includes Niger, Malay and Burkina Faso.
Russian and Italian forces are also stationed at the military facility, which was one of the location targeted yesterday in what Niger state media described as an attack that involved quote hundreds of disaffected soldiers. The station also aired footage of what it claimed were mutinous soldiers surrendering, since taking power in a coup in 2023, Niger's military junta has faced a series of security
challenges. Over the past several months, attacks by militant groups in various parts of the country has resulted in mass casualties within the military for NPR news of Michael Coloki. The National Hurricane Center says tropical storm Karina has strengthened into a hurricane in the Pacific Ocean.
