revolutionary guard attacked U.S.
“bases in Jordan with ballistic missiles in response”
to the U.S. military attack on two Iranian launchers on Lerick Island in the straight-up or moves today. This comes after weeks of relative calm in strikes between the two countries
as NPR's Hadeel Alshalchi reports. "U.S. central command said that the U.S. forces struck after observing the Islamic Revolutionary Guard corps forces preparing to launch rockets with
sea mines into the straight-up or moves." It said the U.S. military had completed clearing sea mines from the straits and international shipping routes last week.
Iranian state media said that a U.S. drone carried out the attack and the revolutionary guard said there were deaths among its fighters. Lerick Island is primarily used as an
Iranian military post.

a million miles from Earth. Central Florida Public Media's Brendan Burn has more. "The Roman Space Telescope pitched a ride on a SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket launching the 18,000-pound telescope that's about the size of a tour bus."
NASA's Jackie Townsend said it went exactly as planned. "What a glorious dawn launch. And the ride was magnificent." "Just hours after lift off, the spacecraft began opening its solar panels and other instruments
and is performing as expected. It will take Roman about three months to get to its final destination in space with the first observations coming before the end of the year. The Observatory is on the hunt for dark matter and dark

In Nepal, authorities are warning a possible fresh flooding as water levels rise on the Bote Kochi River. Last week's catastrophic floods killed at least 800 people and left more than 3,000 missing in Nepal and Tibet, including dozens of Americans.

Many people watched, but not everyone was happy about the highly publicized memorial. Justin Barney, at Member Station WPLN, has more. Lots of people watched the Grand Old Operate's tribute to Dali Parton last night.
The YouTube stream alone has already been streamed over a million times. The Grand Old Operate hustled to put together a memorial show in just four days. The program featured musicians telling stories about Dali, videos of Parton, lots of Dali songs, and a guest appearance from Jelly Roll. But reaction has been mixed. The Operate didn't go out of its way to
change the line up that they already had in place in order to get some big names to honor Dali. Lots of commentators were hoping for more star power. For NPR News, I'm Justin Barney in Nashville. At the weekend box office,
Spider-Man, brand new day took the top spot with $22 million in its fifth weekend. That brings its worldwide total to $2.3 billion. In second place, three years after Warner Brothers canceled the release of Looney Tunes feature "Cyote vs. Acme," indie distributor, catch up entertainment,
gave it a new life and it paid off, debuting with an estimated $15 million in ticket sales.
In third place, the Odyssey with $14 million and rounding out the top five,
