President Trump says he is pleased that the Supreme Court has ruled in his favor to allow
“the construction of his controversial $400 million white house ballroom.”
And Pierre's carry Johnson reports the move drew a descent from conservative Chief Justice John Roberts, who was joined by the three liberal justices. The court is letting the construction continue for now, but it left some room to hear the underlying dispute about the legality of this project in the future. There's a complicating factor in court papers.
The Trump administration says crews are working 20 hours a day, seven days a week to finish this project. The construction has been underway for the better part of a year, and a lot more work could be done by the time the Supreme Court gets to the biggest question in this case. The White House ballroom is expected to be completed in the summer of 2028.
The White House is offering details on a Venezuelan company that will be working with the U.S. to develop that country's oil reserves, and Pierre's Julia Simon has details. The company is called North American Blue Energy Partners. Behind the company is 46-year-old Alejandro Betinkort, who is faced multiple investigations
“in Spain, Switzerland, and the U.S. for money laundering.”
He has not been formally charged. While Betinkort's company has experience in some types of oil fields, oil experts tell NPR its unclear if it has the experience to develop the complicated geological formations under discussion in the Trump deal. That means the company may need more know-how and investment to develop the fields, but
as some energy analysts tell NPR, many oil companies may not want to work with Betinkort's company given the reputational risk. Julia Simon and Pierre News. Major's in Nevada have convicted a former gang member of orchestrating the 1996 sling of hip-hop icon, two-packshikor.
A statement reports Dwayne Davis is facing a sense of life in prison. Nearly three decades after the killing, it took jurors around three hours to reach a verdict.

When the artificial intelligence company opened AI launched ads in Chad GBT earlier this
year, its competitor and thropic took a humorous job with TV ads during the Super Bowl. Now open AI may have the last laugh, and appears John Ruach has that story. Open AI says in less than 200 days since it launched ads, they've reached what the company calls an annualized revenue run rate of $1 billion. That means that the current rate of ad sales, open AI would pull in $1 billion a year.
It's not a massive number relative to the tens of billions of dollars the company spends each year to develop AI, but it's fast growing. In March, the company said it was generating ad revenue at a rate that would have brought in $100 million a year.
Ads have been a critical source of revenue across the tech sector, and open AI once resisted
the idea. Now it's part of what it calls its diversified business model. And it says it's expanding in the India, Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa.
